Needed to replace the cushions in our camper. I went through and found one I thought was pretty close to the back pieces that I was not replacing. Tried them out today and could not be happier. These were a lot less than having it done locally and looks great. Could I have gotten something nicer and closer to the backs locally, most likely, but I will replace them at some point also. Awful quality. I have previously ordered several bench/window seat cushions from Cushion Source and was satisfied with the quality. So ordered one with expensive Schumacher COM fabric and what a mistake that was. The seams aren't straight. They put piping seams at the front of the cushion. Worst of all they used 4" foam for a 3" deep cushion so the seams can't align with the corners of the foam. The side panels were laid upside down, against the pattern on the top of the cushion. Very poorly done. Customer service is surly and argumentative. read more

A-ok. I've sat in more comfy cushions, that's for sure. They look fine, they have a ton of color variety and they were fairly inexpensive and came within a month. However, they are pretty thin/not comfortable and not very substantial; def not luxe. If you are on a budget and need a cushion for more show vs use, it's a good option. If you are looking for comfy, well loved cushions for everyday use, I'd invest in better quality. read more

Spent $2500 on custom cushions for an outdoor bench from these guys in July 2019. I HATE these cushions and let me count the ways 1) The company screwed up the initial order, and as a result I had to return everything and wait for them to "fix" it. The "fixed" versions at least fit on the bench now (in the dimensions I provided) but the covers are clearly too loose. 2) The bases are 5" thick of the standard outdoor padding. I still marvel at how they feel like I'm sitting on a sheet of cardboard. 3) The cushions stain easily. If you told me they used counterfeit Sunbrella fabric I'd believe you because I have other cushions from another vendor in the same environment that have never had a problem. 4) Oh, and don't bother trying to take the covers off to clean them because if you do you'll discover the padding has literally disintegrated inside of them. 5) This year I got them out of storage (where they've spent 90% of their life) and decided I'd get another year out of them before I buy new ones from the vendor I got our awesome chair cushions from. That's when I noticed that the stitching is starting to disintegrate! Keep in mind that in addition to spending most of their life in storage, these cushions are in shade for most of the day. read more

Ordered two cushion covers for $800, and they literally disintegrated the first time we washed them. (No laundry instruction tag anywhere--you have to dig around on the website--a lot--to find care instructions, and when you find them you realize that these items are much much more delicate than any other linen items you've ever washed before in your life, mainly because there's no selvage.) When I complained to the company, they "repaired" the covers by cutting off the damaged sections and using what was left to sew much smaller covers. (So much for that custom fit we paid $800 for!) Worse, the company is so accustomed to complaints that they're permanently in a defensive crouch. They have a rigid protocol for denying customers' claims and will pro-actively find a way to blame you before you even tell them the problem. What a clown show. read more

Had a custom bay window cushion made and first off the website does not catch that a custom made bay window would need the zipper on the short side vs the long side. So we have a custom made $800 cushion with a zipper in the front. The foam inside the cushion is smaller than needed so the actual cushion material twists around the padding and makes it look like a slipping old couch cushion. Customer service offered to fix there mistake because of the zipper on the wrong side of the cushion for another $400.00. Make sure you shop around first and read reviews and make sure you get the correct amount of foam for your cushion so you don't have this issue. read more

Really wished I hadn't wasted my time and money with this company. Not only are their products insanely expensive relative to the quality, but their shipping department is a disorganized mess and they appear to not take much pride in the quality of their work. The first time they sent our order, all of the seat cushions were of the wrong dimension, taller than we had ordered by one inch. Wouldn't fit our application. So we contacted them and they agreed to fix the problem. We had to send them the cushion covers, they would fabricate new cushions, and send it all back. Since they were going to be making new cushions, I assessed our application and concluded that the best possible fit would involve some minor adjustments to the depth and width of the cushions. I asked them about doing this, and was told there would be a $500 charge for alterations to the covers to make them fit the smaller cushions. Sure, whatever. Then when they finally send the new cushions (which, by the way, arrived with cushions from someone else's order, somehow), we end up with a bunch of loose, baggy covers they don't look like they were altered AT ALL to accommodate the smaller cushions. I email their customer service, and they offer to have us send the spacers back again for alterations. At this point, we are tired of not having cushions on our basement sofa, and we're tired of dealing with this shoddy company. So I ask for a refund of the money we spent to have the cushions "altered". The rep we exchanged emails with made us an absolute insult of an offer, $150 of our $500. I was able to contact a different customer service rep who had been helping us with the prior problems with the order, and she was willing to refund us an amount that nearly covers the full $500, so we took our losses and moved on from this terrible place. A few weeks later, some cushions arrived from another order that their shipping department messed up. The first time this had happened, we cooperated and printed the shipping label they emailed us so UPS could make a pickup and get them to the right customer. This time? Nope. Screw you, the cushions went in the trash, and you lost money because you have poor customer service, poor quality control, and are overall an abysmal company. read more

Beware, the cushions can be 1/2" too large or too short. Cushion Source is not able to make cushions to the exact dimensions provided. This becomes a problem when several cushions are placed next to each other. Instead of apologizing and offering solutions (one smaller seat and back cushion would have fixed this), Customer Care had me scroll to the bottom of the website, click the site map link, and then asked me to read the fine print listed in their terms and conditions out loud over the phone. This was the worst customer service experience I've ever encountered. I even sent a link to the original furniture product with my order so Cushion Source could better understand the cushions being replaced, and how they should fit. Overall the quality is very nice, but what ended up being 1.5" of extra cushion bunches up and is really ugly. It arrived quickly and was actually better than I expected with my haphazard measuring and guestimating. I chose Cushion Source as opposed to its competitors because Cushion Source had the cheapest prices. Luckily, my cushion exceeded my expectations. I have been a happy customer for over 10 years. Since 2011, I have spent $4,600 with cushionsource.com. On a recent order, I spent over $3,000, comfortable with the fact that the fabric I chose was written up as durable in sunlight with a 5-year warranty. All of my 12 cushions toasted in the sun after one year. After two, three were severely scorched. I began a warranty claim. It was agreed upon after very slow responses that I would remove the three covers I asked to replace and get them ready for "pick up)...assuming for replacement. After one week of no response to my follow-up inquiry, it was decided by "managers" that the discoloration was staining. I was sent cleaning tips and no other communication. Sun scorch does not clean. The worst of it is on leading edges, not low points which would point to staining. The product to stay away from if you live in sunshine is Outdura Longitude Mica. It is safe to add, question every claim on a fabric's durability and do not believe the warranty will be honored by this company. I read other reviews that rave about the company and the product. I can only say that I'm underwhelmed with lack of communications on my order and the delay. I custom ordered outdoor couch cushions based on some cushions I bought from Wayfair that were perfectly made by Cushion Source! They we're firm and tightly stuffed with high quality comfortable foam and batting with Sunbrella material. I spent 265.00 for the exact same material and foam and expected the same quality and comfort. It was far from it. I was under the impression I had a year guarantee...not so...only 6 months for the foam and batting. There's a reason for that... because that's how long they will last and it's 160.00 to restuff the material by Cushion Source, so I was so rudely told by the rep. This product is inferior and not worth the huge price tag and I purchased 5 inch thick and the highest quality of stuffing Cushion Source provides. They came loosely filled although the material was exactly the deminsions I ordered. Customer service rep was rude, condescending and will find a reason to admonish you like a child.... because they can. A solution could not be reached except for me to pay shipping and have the material sent and restuffed for their " cost" of 80.00 bucks. I merely needed some extra stuffing to take up the space of all the loose fabric. These cushions are only used 6 months out of the year and are now completely uncomfortable and worthless. I will never, ever do business with this company again for their false advertising and pricey low quality product. UPDATE: After I posted this review, the owner of Cushion Source personally called me. He was not only genuinely concerned about the way I was treated by his employees but also wanted to correct and take care of the product I ordered. Since I had already taken these cushions to a local upholstery business to be restuffed, he offered to pay that cost. Indeed he did! I am very impressed with the integrity of this business! I understand that mistakes happen and he certainly stepped up to take care of business and correct the mistake. That's all any consumer could ask for! Not the treatment one hopes or expects. I'd inherited window seat cushions made by this company from the previous homeowner and was pleased with the quality, though not my design style. I decided to order updated window seat cushions, after receiving a lovely linen-blend fabric sample. However, upon receipt of the cushion covers, I noticed the fabric did not have the appearance of linen and was "fuzzy" to the touch. It looked very different from the sample I'd received. Immediately, I called this company and while on the phone with the associate, I realized the fabric had been sewn inside out and explained to her what had occurred. She requested photos, which I sent. She then called back to inform me they would do nothing because the fabric was sewn on the correct side. I then spoke with a supervisor who requested I send a copy of the fabric swatch I'd received. Incredibly, she stated that it appeared the label on the fabric swatch had been tampered with (by me, I presumed), meanwhile insisting repeatedly the "fuzzy" cover was correct. Without going into further details, I am glad to report that so far, I haven't had to resort to contacting my credit card company to intervene. I returned the "fuzzy" covers and they have shipped me the covers sewn correctly (I hope), but not without some harrowing moments and unnecessary emotional distress. read more

I ordered a cushion pad over the weekend (8/23) and when I received the invoice it showed the shipping date as 10/5. That's a 1 1/2 month delay in delivering the goods that I promptly paid for. Had I known the order was going to take this long I would not have placed it. Cushion Source should inform customers of the delays on their website so they can make the right decisions. Very misleading. Update: Cushion Source contacted me right away and offered a refund on my order. They also stressed that shipping dates are displayed throughout the purchase process, which I failed to notice. Ordered a custom $500 cushion based on THEIR descriptions of their fabrics. Arrived to my home and it was KHAKI base color which matches absolutely nothing in my house. Listing was for "Blue, Gray/Silver, White/Off White". This is the color of dark khaki sand. All they want to say is that khaki and white/off white are the SAME color, which is far from the truth. I've thought long and hard about doing this review but the interaction I just had again with a specific customer service rep made it clear I should submit it as a last resort. Peggy McFaden is the rep I was dealing with and I have never been left feeling so bad after dealing with Customer Service ever in my life. If there is a recording of our calls, you can hear the attitude and dismissiveness and I just don't know why someone would talk to a customer like that. I just need help with the order I received and am just trying to figure out the best course of action, but I feel like she's somehow doing a job she doesn't like and I'm disturbing her. Back in early July I placed an order through Shay Thorton. After initially speaking with her on the phone, she asked me to send photos of exactly what I was looking for as I wanted a specific wrapping of the fabric and seam placement. She sent an updated quote with the Style listed as 'Wrapped Boxed Edge' and she confirmed via email that this description matches what I am looking for and the pictures I had sent. Fast forward to a few days ago when I received my order, I noticed a couple things. (1) The wrapping style did not match the photos I had sent. (2) One of the cushions is not laying flat on the ends and no matter what I do to readjust the cushion, it still curls up on the ends. There is also a really hard edge where it looks like 2 foam pieces were glued together making it uncomfortable to sit on. The other cushion, however, looks great aside from the fabric wrapping style. I called yesterday to see if anything can be done and spoke to Peggy McFaden. This was the first call where I felt really bad after speaking with her, but nonetheless proceeded to go through the process with her. She asked me to send pictures, which I did while also thanking her for her time on the phone and she responded letting me know she would forward to the production manager for review. I called this morning to see if there were any updates and unfortunately, she was the one who picked up and told me she sent to the production manager and if she ever heard back she'll contact me. She sounded so annoyed and I don't know if I'm ever actually going to get any help from her. I would like to place another order for some large sectional couch cushions and know the proper specification on the upholstery style I should call out which is why I would like to get some help. However, I don't know if and when I'll get some assistance and at this point am afraid to call if Peggy will be the one to pick up. Getting the initial order resolved would be helpful, but don't know what to do at this point. I have also seen pictures of cushions in that exact style on your website so I know it is possible, I just don't know what the right description is. From what I can see, Cushion Source is a great company but the service I got from a very specific individual does not reflect that, only from my personal experience. Beware...Bait & switch on pricing! I started out being pleased with the responsiveness from the customer service reps I was emailing. My outdoor sectional has odd shaped back cushions and they were working with me to get all of the measurements/dimensions. I had opened an account online and saved a quote that was generated...thankfully I took screen shots of the quote as well. Finally get to the point where I'm about to order and Shay sends me a quote...much higher than what I was told online. I emailed back and asked for a breakdown of cost per cushion and not simply a total. When I received the info I noticed that even the standard square cushions were more than my online quote. I went back to the website to check my saved quote and was shocked to see the quote I had saved in my account was now replaced with Shay's new higher quote!! Again, thankfully I took screenshots of the original quote. When I replied, I included the screenshots and asked why there was such a discrepancy in price. No response. I emailed again a couple of days later, still no response All of my other emails were answered very quickly...within hours at the most. For some reason, they are ignoring me now, can't imagine why!! I recently ordered a single window-seat cushion, rectangular with welting. I used my own fabric. I'm kind of a sewing dope, so I called a few times to ask questions about measuring, etc. Every time I called, the answers were crisp and the rep was pleasant and helpful. After I shipped the fabric, it got delayed thanks to the US PO. Shay emailed to tell me that though they had received my order, they had not yet received the fabric. I explained what was going on with the PO and he promised to let me know as soon as it arrived, which he did. I also had a number of email interactions, including a request to ship back my excess fabric, which they immediately agreed to do. The cushion arrived in a few weeks and it is perfect. My excess fabric was enclosed. The price I paid, even when you add the cost of fabric, was just a little more than half the prices I was quoted here in NYC for labor alone. I had one complaint about the transaction, which is the reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5, and it involves the shipping. The completed cushion was not shipped in a box, but rather wrapped in heavy duty plastic, probably because it is large (80"). It was miraculously undamaged, but anyone who's seen what happens to packages during transit knows what a risky move that was. I would nail down in advance that your cushion will be shipped in a carton. Otherwise, I highly recommend Cushion Source! read more

Such a great experience...I ordered 8 cushions online: two sofa bottoms and six pillows (inserts only). The staff at Cushion Source are very pleasant and instructed me exactly how to properly measure for my order.
