I've been coming to this laundry mat on and off for 20+ years. I'm very disappointed on the outcome of the location as of now. Lots of washing machines are down, only more than a handful of dryers are working. If that's the case, limit the washing so people don't have to go elsewhere to dry. Surprised how busy this place was on a Wednesday at 1pm but it was. Cost was appropriate. I went to get wash and fold but turn around was 24 hours. Totally my fault and I needed it in a few hours. Price was about $2 per pound which is reasonable. Seemed like most of the machines were working though they do have a few blocked off for staff. The machines are definitely older but work fine. They definitely need more laundry carts. I counted like 6 which people were hoarding and not actively using but whatever I didn't have much so be it. Overall place was decent though could use some better seating. They have Wi-Fi and a playroom. I used neither just passing information. I would recommend this place for doing laundry. I travel a lot and this place is a good place. read more

If you can possibly avoid this place for laundry, do so. This is obviously an absentee owner sucking as much money as possible out of the place while delivering as little value and service as they can get away with. It's far too small for the machines they have crammed into every nook and cranny, with dated and worn-out equipment. They really should change the name of this place to "Out Of Order." The machines that are not out of order are left full while the customers wander off to do other stuff. They have not put any social distancing policies in place and that's probably advisable since the poor over-tasked lone employee can't possibly keep track of what's going on. A couple of high-points for me was the open sewer pipe behind one of the larger washers that spews sewer smells 24/7, and the wannabe thugs from the neighborhood wandering in and out with 9mm pistols dangling out of their waistbands. read more

I had been using Cushman laundrymat for over 10 years, until this past September, when I moved into new home of which had a washer and dryer. And about 2 weeks ago the washing machine broke, so of course I went back to Cushman laundrymat, even though there is another laundrymat closer to my home. Well I can not say that I will be returning. A week ago I called the laundrymat to see if they were still closing early due to COVID and although the gentleman on the other end of the telephone was completely rude, I was happy to hear that they were back to regular hours 8am - 8pm. I made sure to ask specifically " last wash must be in by 8pm correct?" The replie was " Yep." So I was glad to hear, same rules as before. Well posted on the door were strict regulations about customers must wear a mask (due to COVID) amongst other COVID regulations. All good except I was the only person who was wearing a mask, not even the rude employee whom I spoke with earlier. Now a week later I arrive at the laundrymat and walk through the door with my basket of laundry at 7:56pm (I wouldn't normally cut it so close to the 8pm final wash rule but I was having car problems, but I was still in the door before 8pm). Then I was immediately told, by the same gentleman who was working the previous week, "Nope. We are closed" without even lifting his head in my direction. I replied " I don't have to use the dryer if time is an issue" and "I apologized for cutting it so close to 8pm" another "Nope. We are closed" came my way, still never looking up at me. I then said " but it is not even 8pm yet and I don't need any change and I don't have to use the dryers as to not hold him up. It's only 7:56." He replied " Your to late. Last wash has to be in by 8pm. Those are the rules". And still not looking at me. Again I said "But it is not 8pm yet". "NOPE. you are to late". "NOPE". "NOPE". And yes there was other customers in the laundromat. And yes he was still doing the drop off laundry that had to be done. And he obviously was not finished cleaning the laundromat. But he was almost done counting his cash and closing his register, still never looking up at me he says, as he points down at the front of the counter "there's a number for you". As I sit here writing this, washers and dryers are still going. The door is still unlocked. Other customers have come and gone and the gentleman pears out the window at me every now and then. Now I know he has probably heard every excuse in the book before from customers coming in after 8pm. And I am sure he has had customers who aren't mindful of the fact that he is closing up and they take their sweet old time doing their laundry after 8pm. And I know he may not remember me from last week since he didn't even look up at me during our chat, but I doubt that highly. And he may not remember that I was in and out, wash and dry, in just under an hour. I am there to get my laundry done and get out. But the fact is I was in the door with my basket of dirty laundry before 8pm and the gentleman who was working couldn't even lift his head when he spoke to me or offer me a fake apology or attempt to be nice in any way and that simply is not how the owners of Cushman laundromat should be represented. Now I am just hoping the gentleman working was having a bad day, just like I was. And I am fairly certain that is the case, because 50 minutes after I heard the first "Nope", as I still sit out front of the laundrymat writing this epic review, the gentleman inside stepped outside and offered me what I am regarding as an apology... "Are you the one who wanted to do their wash? Come on in I have to put another load in the washing machines". And out of respect back I said "No I don't want to hold you up". Again he said "come on in". And so I went in, but only with half the laundry that I had brought with me to wash as to not hold him I to long. We need to not be so quick to judge others you never know what they may be going through or what kind if day they are having. We all need to be a bit more respectful and less judgmental sometimes. I'll be back next Monday to Cushman laundromat with my dirty laundry to wash and dry and I will be sure to be here no later then 7:30pm. read more

I don't think I came here expecting much, simply for being on South Cushman I was under the assumption that it'd be sorta rough. That being said, I was pretty blown out of the water! it was pretty clean, not too busy, and the ladies at the help desk we very friendly. The laundry mat has both an ATM and a coin machine, both of which were operational when I went. The mat has a children's room, a bathroom with a key you can ask for from the attendant, and the mat also appeared to be dog friendly! read more

Used one of the bigger washers today, $8 by the way, and when my clothes was done washing they smelled worse than they did before being washed! I told the girl at the register and she flat out said she didn't know and basically didn't give a shit. If I wanted to pay $16 to wash one load of laundry I would have just paid to have it done elsewhere. Absolutely absurd. read more

After using the too small hotel laundry too many times, I found Cushman Plaza Laundry. I packed up the kids and the clothes and set off. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the facility and my daughters loved the play area. The prices were fair and I was able to get everything washed at once. By the time I was done folding, my one year old was melting down and I noticed that they offered wash and fold service for $2/lb. I decided to give that a try the next week. It was amazing! They were able to get out some baby food stains that I thought were there for good. All collared shirts were returned on nice plastic hangers. I cannot say enough good things about Cushman Plaza Laundry! read more

After many days of traveling through Alaska we needed to do laundry. The staff at Cushmans was not only friendly but very helpful. The laundromat was very clean with lots of amenities ( free wifi, television, coffee for $1, and tanning beds). Great place to wash and dry! read more

Floor was extremely muddy. Credit card machine did not operate. Wax dispenser was empty when I tried to use it. The young lady at laundry called attendant and asked him if she could reimburse me for the $3.50 I spent on wax, he refused then told me that was impossible because it was a different business. Yet it is plain to see by their name that they are associated. He pretended that he was out of town and he could not help me. I could not believe that this kind of business would risk a negative rating for $3.50 I paid and they had not earned. read more

I read a lot of the reviews before setting out for here hoping for a good, experience doing 5 loads at once. The place is a lot smaller l than I imagined and half of the machines it seemed had "employee use only" signs them. I have a machine (one) at my apartment complex with four units. I really needed to wash my comforter though that doesn't really fit the machine so I figured I'd kill 5 birds with one stone. Come to find out the big machine for my comforter was $8 (EIGHT) and the smaller ones $4. I see a lot of the reviews saying this place has reasonable prices and maybe I'm just not used to public laundromats and those prices are standard but that was outrageous to me. I did the comforter there since I didn't really have a choice but I am taking the rest of my clothes back to my apartment to take my chances that no one else is using the machine right now and do my loads at $1.50 each. I miss Coin King on Gaffney I think it was. Didn't go there much either since I didn't have to but that place was far more preferable than this. I do recall feeling a little frustrated there too because I had to purchase tokens when I already came prepared with quarters but don't think the prices were near as bad as this. The place was clean enough but I just can't get over the price and limited machines. And all that great customer service I saw in a lot of the reviews too...can't attest to that. Nothing really bad to say but didn't get any acknowledgement coming in or as the attendant made rounds or as I look around confused clearly being a first time customer. Would only come back being prepared to ONLY wash my comforter and ONLY because of proximity to my current place. read more
