My dryer went out so I decided to take our laundry here, while I was grateful that I had a place to take it to, I can't say it was the ideal experience. A little over half of the machines were out of order. The floor was nasty, covered in dryer sheets and some trash as well as dirt tracked in. The washers were too small and too expensive to be useful. I had to use 3 of them for what I could do in one machine at home. I was charged $6 for each wash. So for one load I ended up spending over $20 (had to dry too). There's also the problem that I had to wait for others because there weren't enough available machines, otherwise we all could have been going at the same time. The dryers were huge though and my clothes smelled great after. Overall, not enough working machines, too small of machines, and too expensive. I'll hang dry my clothes in the bathroom. read more

This poor little local laundromat reviews had me frightened to visit. But I braved it, not wanting to drive to Fairbanks to the highly rated laundromat. Idk what more you guys want. The machines are new and work well. I put clothes in, and after like 5 min of putting quarters in, and pushing the screen buttons a few times, my clothes came out clean. There are two change machines, one works well with a little arcade- finesse, massaging the bills on the corner before putting it in. The washer and dryers are new and you can put like a week's load of clothes in without overfilling the machine. It has a free toilet and sink with running water and soap, not an outhouse in the cold. No paper towels but it's fairly clean and looks like updated repairs on the walls etc. it advertises to have free wifi here but I couldn't find any posting for info of what the wifi was or the password. There are two vending machines and soda machine. It's expensive, but probably cheaper than buying a new house and washer and dryer. I give it four stars. Thanks, Forbes! read more

I come here a lot since i live in a dry cabin, and on this day 7/31/22 i was very disappointed in what i saw. Three of the washers on the back wall didn't even spin out my laundry i took them home soaked didn't want to chance to out them in another one since the machines coast,Pretty much all the machines where done, the dryers don't work right ( or dry right), and no hand towels or toilet paper in the bathroom, so disappointed in what i saw, never since it go down hill so fast. read more

It's March 5th 2023, I'm here at Forbes laundry, and I just spent $50 on just on 3 washers, just the washing machines. I would have taken my cloths out but didn't know that it would cost $50 just to use washing machines. There's no way I can dry all of my cloths. I will drive the extra couple of miles to town. When I told the lady that's here, she responded with~ she's thinking of lowering prices. Go to Fairbanks laundry mats you won't get ripped off. That is just wrong $50 for 3 washing machines... Pretty nice laundry mat. Clean. Variety of detergent in the vending machine. Machines are a little pricey. A lot of the cheaper dryers are out of order. It's awesome that if it's busy they will remove clothes and charge a $10 fee for each machine. That's cool I always hated waiting for people that would just leave their stuff in forever. Forbes Laundry is clean and very convenient. It looks very big when you go in but a lot of washers and dryers are broken. When I was there very few people came in which was good. I would definitely go back to launder large bulky bedding. read more

I stopped for a shower and had to call the number the man that answered said he would come and let us in the showers in 30 minutes. He never showed. I am a truck driver and time is miles and miles are money. Lost $140.00 read more

I had two loads of laundry. Each washing machine cost $9.50. Each dryer was a dollar for five minutes. This is way more expensive than even in Valdez! I'm not going to be coming back. They are way overpriced, and the dryers are not that hot. I'm going to save my 30 bucks next time and put it towards buying a stackable washer dryer. If I could give this place -1 star I would. This place was unkept. The atm, coin machine, and half the washers were down. The owner ignores phone calls. One of their machines ate $6 worth of coins and when calling the owner he said he would quote "get me back sometime in the future." I urge you to take your business elsewhere. This is the cleanest laundry mat I have been to. I thought the price was high but the. I went to Fairbanks and the laundry mat there is just as pricy and not clean and the dryers didn't work. I will continue you use this place for larger items. Also the staff is friendly and nice. read more

This place is terrible . Almost Half the machines are broken. When a machine breaks it stays that for weeks sometimes months . The machines flood often. Sometimes the dryers only produce heat for half the cycle then stop heating so you just wasted money. People use a few of the machines at the same time and then just leave their clothes inside the machines for hours .I spend on average 2 hours and there and almost everytime I go some has taken several machines and when I leave they still have not come back. So for a few hours those machines are taken limiting the number of available units . Worst of all though is the prices . I think they intentionally leave the smaller cheaper machines broken for long periods of time to force us to use the more expensive ones . It costs me more than $20 to do 2 loads of laundry. Their one redeeming quality was that they were open 24 hours a day . However now they are no longer open 24 hours and they are closed at least 1 day a week which is Tuesday . I was tempted to give this place a 1 star but gave them a 2 since over the last year they have made efforts towards small improvements. read more
