Very few people enjoy going to the dentist. Lying in a chair while being poked, scraped, drilled isn't comparable to a day at the ballpark. I was very impressed by the amount of communication about my appointments including how long each visit would take so I planned accordingly. In addition to that, they tell you ahead of time how much you will be charged out of pocket for upcoming procedures. Everyone is welcoming, sincere, and extremely accommodating, the facility is always spotlessly clean, and the laughs and smiles are endless! Dr. Mullarkey is everything you wished your dentist was, but almost never is. First, she's amiable and kind and interesting. i genuinely enjoy hanging with her for the hour i'm there. second, she is dexterous and skilled - she's quick and gentle and i'm never in pain, even after extensive work. third, she's a humanitarian. she probably won't tell you but she volunteers globally to provide care to people in desperate need of relief. she also explains procedures thoroughly but not pedantically, and gives you up-front, accurate estimates on the work she recommends. she understands that dentistry is expensive. her office alleviates much of the financial stress and works with you and the insurance company closely. I just had a very deep cavity fixed; though she warned there might be discomfort, there was literally none. i had large spaces between my teeth that caused me the kind of everyday pain that you learn to adapt to. Dr. M fixed it (while involving my daughter the entire time and basically inspiring her to become a dentist) in an hour and i suddenly have zero discomfort. it's seriously life changing...and i could barely tell i'd had work done. Can't recommend Cusp enough. The staff rocks too (thanks for being so great with M, Ariana!!!). I've recommended me entire family and host of friends and everyone is happy l! read more

Let me start by saying, like many of you, I have never been a fan of going to the dentist. They're usually aggressive, tell me I don't floss enough and leave me wishing that I had never called in the first place. I've seen all kinds of dentists, whether they're aggressive, overly nice, if they overlook my issues and leave me wondering why I paid or if they're too thorough and overcharge me. In the case of Dr. Younan, she's nothing but great. She's very candid and honest about what's going on in/around your mouth and what you're doing well or needs to be worked on. She doesn't keep you waiting for very long for an appointment and you're never there too long (for a routine cleaning). Her staff is small but wonderful. They're always very courteous on the phone and in person and always willing to help. As a small perk, while you are having your teeth cleaned, you are able to sit back and enjoy some TV or a movie while they work away in your mouth. It beats having to look at the ceiling or up your dentist's nose for a half hour or so. Even during some oral procedures that I needed to have performed, I felt no pain because she's very aware and understanding that no one wants to feel pain while visiting the dentist. All and all, if you live in the Lincolnshire/Buffalo Grove/Riverwoods area and you're looking for a dentist, you should give Dr. Younan a call. Even if there's a bit of a drive to get to her easy-to-find office, you'll be happy you did. My first visit was with Dr. Mullarkey. She is amazing. Seriously.. I will be switching everyone in the family over to this office, including the kids! All the staff was absolutely stellar! I had a traumatizing experience with a dentist when I was quite young, so just having regular cleanings would create so much anxiety. I'm not talking about a little anxiety either.. a whole lot! I trusted the previous yelp reviews and gathered up just enough courage to try it out. I thought a filling had popped out, so I didn't have much choice. It needed to be taken care of right away. I'm not sure what it is about the atmosphere exactly, but I really felt calm and relaxed. To top it off - they have these luxurious dental chairs with massage features. Music was great too. As it turned out, I would need my first crown since a piece of my back molar had broke. I started to panic a bit when I heard that, but Dr. Mullarkey was the best and put me at ease right away. Since they have the newest technology - I was able to get my crown the same day! No getting a temp and waiting an additional two weeks. Everything was taken care of during my first visit. I normally have a lot of issues with any type of dental anesthesia which would just create even more anxiety. Dr. Mullarkey got it 100% right the first time - I felt absolutely nothing and was very comfortable through the whole process. It's been over two weeks now and I haven't had any issues with my new crown. It looks and feels like my natural tooth and I have no sensitivity issues. The hygienist did an amazing job with the cleaning as well. She was thorough and gentle. I'm just so impressed with this office. I can't say enough great things about it!! read more

I needed to have a crown last fall and was pleasantly surprised at how gentle Dr. Younan was. Dr Younan is by far the best dentist I have ever seen! She is very concerned with your being comfortable and is very considerate about not causing any pain if possible. I have been spared any pain from her for years now. My kids even became patients at ages 3 and 5 and they love the dentist because of her. She is not a pediatric dentist that I'm aware of but she is maxing with my children!! The office is always clean and they are very punctual! Dr. Younan does wonderful work with composite bonding. I had a chipped front tooth, and you can't tell it was ever broken in the first place.
