I cannot say enough good about custom air specialists and Adam Norvell. 10 years ago I purchased a condo built in 1976. Where are the heating and air unit is located in the hallway is difficult to get to and someone else I had had come out wanted to even put it in the attic! I decided to go with Adam because his price was fair and he was recommended to me. Am I glad I did! I have not had a single problem in the last 10 years. I've saved money. It's quiet. It's just wonderful! He and his team came out yesterday and did a service for me which I try to do yearly, although sometimes I fail in that department lol. When he looked at the duct work, I was informed that it needed to be replaced. We knew this was coming when we first put the unit in and the day has finally arrived. We've had an excellent experience with Adam and his company! He was the first to respond to my Yelp query, (within a few minutes, way after hours!) and was diligent in following up with a call in case he could answer any questions 'in person'. When he came out to look things over for an estimate, he was thorough and informative, and never talked down to me as 'just a woman.' (One of my pet peeves when conversing with contractors) I asked him for a list of my options and cost for each, letting him know I was working with a very tight budget. To my absolute relief and satisfaction, he boiled it all down to incremental (and clean) choices without all that beating around the bush I get from a lot of contractors. I know 'things happen', and options may not be cut and dried, but I am a compartmentalizer, and appreciate those who can give me a good sense of different options. Adam absolutely worked with me for this project, and when it came time for the job, he and his worker set to it professionally. (Another thing I want from my contractors. I don't mind chatting, but 'talk and walk (or in this case, talk and work) is what earns my admiration. Don't talk to me about your other eejit clients, (it makes me wonder how you might talk to other clients about me!) and don't futz around.) Adam and his man were on time, and worked diligently, efficiently, and professionally. When they ran into a snag, Adam approached it with a 'can do' and 'it's all good' attitude. Their demeanor was always pleasant, respectful and positive. And I was never made to feel as if my job was onerous on them. I often feel like 5 stars is a bit of an exaggeration but I can't imagine a better experience with a repair person. Adam quickly figured out what my problem was and handled it like an absolute champ. I have a unique, at least for this area, heating system. It is a hydronic heating system, which means is uses hot water to heat. I had 2 previous quotes. First person admitted he was not familiar and suggested I get another company (he was super nice). Second company said they were very familiar with my system, even knew my condo complex by name. When his guy came out, he had NO idea what he was talking about(I knew more than he did). When CAS came out, they had it assessed and handled in minutes. They flushed the coil system and got it working. There was an issue with the valve from the hot water heater to the HVAC system.
