Mike is the best. My AC compressor was making a horrible clacking noise. He came out with the day and replaced the contactor. That appeared to fix the problem for a minute but then it returned. Mike then troubleshot the wiring in the system and found a wire near the furnace which had come loose and was making intermittent contact. He was both fast and thorough. I was expecting a big repair and instead had an inexpensive fix. This was my second time using Mike Miller. The first was a furnace repair during COVID. He's now my go to. Mike let me know what he thought the issue was and what would fix the issue that he saw (my condenser fan wasn't working). He gave me options with the pros and cons (generic and OEM parts). My AC unit breaker tripped twice. After checking further, I noticed the unit fan was rotating the wrong way -- pulling air in from the top and pushing it out through the side fins. Long: After our AC went out (and we spoke to the big companies Home Depot and Costco partner with who came out to assess our situation and ended up recommending a $30k full system replacement), a friend referred Mike to us for a third opinion. I was told by another HVAC company that my unit needed to be replaced. They were gonna charge me $16,000. I got a second opinion from Mike. He came over and looked at it and not only told me he could do it for much less, but that it was not time for me to replace the unit it's still running fine. Great experience with Mike on a Saturday during the middle of a heatwave. A/C wasn't sounding or working right the night before and I was scrambling to call someone early Saturday morning before it got too hot. He picked up on the first ring, was honest about whether or not he could get to me today and said he'd get back to me soon. Call Mike Immediately! I would give 5000 stars if I could. I have a 22year old unit. A big commercial company came out in December 2023 to do a pre-season tune-up recommended from one of the largest home improvement retailers in town. They wanted to charge us $550 per capacitor and I know those cost $40 bucks. They said I needed two whole new systems. Told them to put all my things back together and close my unit. Fast forward to Spring 2024, turn on my unit cause its hot and no cold air is blowing out. I found Mike on yelp and he came out, told me for some reason my compressor isn't turning on. He won't know more till he opens it up but might need to be replaced. He was also willing to replace the non-working parts if we are not ready to replace the whole unite (if even needed). After he opened up my unit he saw it had been wired wrong by the previous HVAC company!! Mike immediately fixed the wiring and I was up and running in no time.
