I wish we could rate Rays 10 STARS stars. From the onset of calling Rays they were very prompt in returning phone calls. They were on time for service appointment, called in advance to confirm appointment and called when technician was in route . When we signed contract to replace 20 year-old system, they notified us when the technicians were coming, and some info on the technicians who would be installing our system. Both technicians were very professional and kept and left area clean during system installation. Post installation Rays sent a "Thank You" for our business. Absolute game changers! We've been having issues with our AC for 2 years and Rays actually fixed the problem. We had issues over the last 2 years of the AC keeping our home cool and maintaining the temp. During summer our nest would be set to 76 but read anywhere from 83-86 inside. We previously had another AC team come out, who said the issue was our ducts needing to be cleaned and for $5K they could clean them, which we passed on. After that experience, a friend had recommended we call Rays and I couldn't be more grateful! Daryl came out about 2 weeks ago and fixed our issue. He reviewed the history of our nest and how long we'd been running the AC (nearly 24 hours each day so our electric bill had been super fun), he checked the actual airflow of the vents. He reviewed what was happening and explained what the numbers meant and what they should be. He went to the roof and diagnosed the issue being caused by low refrigerant. He quoted the cost and then fixed it. He also reviewed to see if we had any leaks (which we didn't) but explained what next steps would look like if that was the cause. My husband and I were cautiously optimistic that night as we watched our nest temperature go down over several hours. Now, we no longer have issues and our home is comfortable! We recently had a new system installed by Rays Heating and Cooling, and I want to recognize the team that handled the job -- Jake, Diego, Anthony, and Isiah. From the beginning, they were thoughtful and flexible. We had concerns about the refrigerant lines being too exposed to dogs and kids, and they were willing to turn and reposition the unit to reduce that risk. That mattered to us. They also caught a drip pan issue during quality control and addressed it rather than overlooking it. That attention to detail says a lot about how they operate. We can imagine that Installation days rarely go perfectly, and ours had yet another curveball -- the system did not kick on initially. The team stayed late trying to resolve it. When they weren't able to get it running that evening, they offered to provide a temporary heating and cooling unit if we needed it. My downstairs A/C suddenly stopped working in the dead of summer, so I called up Rays. They sent a technician out the next day. Initially I was given a window of arrival between 10-6. Setting aside 8 hours to stay home during the work week is tough, but they did a great job keeping me updated throughout the day to give me a more precise time of arrival. It gave me more freedom to carry on with a normal day without fear of missing the technician. The technician arrived and diagnosed my problem without issue. He quoted me a reasonable price for the replacement parts and fixed everything in a timely manner. My A/C unit is in the attic and in the process of repair, a some of my insulation fell onto the ground. The technician noticed it and told me, but he was unable to clean it up because of his vacuum. Other than that, everything was great and I would definitely use Ray's again. read more

I can't believe I haven't written a review for Ray's. We were referred to them last summer by a family member. We got a few different estimates from a few different companies. Ray's was the most affordable, and didn't come with all the upselling, and uncomfortable feelings you experience when getting estimates on major appliance installations. We dealt mostly with the owner, Chris Tucker, who is a normal down to earth guy who knows his business and doesn't need to "convince" you to choose him. He's confident in his product and company, and it shows in his work ethic. They installed an entire unit for our downstairs last May 2021. They don't use the top of the line brands, like Lennox and Carrier, who frequently break down and cost more money and time to repair. We went with Tempstar, which still offers good quality, with affordable prices and options. It was a prompt install with great service from the install team and office manager. They took care of us and made us feel like a valued customer. At the one year anniversary they offer a complimentary check up with a free whole home filter replacement. You can bet that when our upstairs unit goes out, they will be my first call. read more

Chris came out timely and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He explained the issues with our HVAC system and that while he assured us that we had a great system that should function, the issue was that we had not maintained it for years. As a result, there was a build up of rust and other issues that was causing strain. He fixed it all and cleaned it up so it should run effortlessly. He also told us about a maintenance plan they had which was free with the work that allows us to get another cleaning this year to ensure it works for summer. The trip visit would have been $99 but it was included with his work which was very reasonable. Very happy I picked Ray's and that Chris was my tech. The 5-ton AC and furnace was original to the 30 year home we bought and we wanted to replace them before they gave out.  We went with these guys after the Home Depot recommended NextGen gave us a quote for an inferior unit (single stage compressor vs. variable speed compressor) for DOUBLE what Rays offered! Chris was patient and took time after the appointment for our estimate to answer follow up questions I had.  At no point did it ever seem like a salesperson was trying to sell me something I didn't need or create a false sense of urgency to get me to commit to something.  He was straightforward and honest.  A welcome experience after the previous company we dealt with. The team that did the installation was quick and professional.  They even went above and beyond and rerouted a coolant line that was blocking one of the cabinets in the garage without me asking or charging me extra for it. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars for the experience. All their technicians are amazing and knowledgable. After multiple quotes from other potential HVAC companies, and dozens of questions regarding the differences between the reason the other companies quoted and what Ray's quoted was pretty extensive on my part since I had to replace 2 condenser units and 2 furnaces on account of the coolant not being available and the limited space that was available. From start to finish it was full transparency on their behalf, explaining every detail as to the differences and why their solution was superior to the other competitors. Given the space limitation I was extremely concerned with the units in close proximity they wouldn't operate at maximum efficiency and it would be a waste of $$.. Their honesty, and willingness to be so transparent was what earned my business.. I truly felt they were the best company for the Job. The installation team was awesome, friendly, attentive, and very respectful of everything. Sometimes you didn't even realize they were in the house for 2 days. After the completion of the installation, I feel relieved and everything was done exactly the way it should have been done and they cared about the overall performance of the equipment to save money on the outrageous electric bills during the summer months. Outstanding. Sadly, not a word I use very often these days with respect to services provided to the customer. But, Rays Heating and Cooling is more than deserving. From the initial call with Whitney last Wednesday, to the AC repair performed by Pablo yesterday...wow. Whitney was great on the phone, offering a friendly, personable voice and giving me several scheduling options. My experience with the service technician, Pablo, was awesome. He showed up on time, donned shoe covers prior to stepping through the door, and quickly and efficiently assessed the problem (faulty capacitor) with my AC unit. He quoted a very fair price; and, with my approval, made the repair. He also inspected the blower motor and filter inside the home, and gave me advice and estimates on suggested, future parts replacements and maintenance. He even took the time to check the temperature of the chilly air coming through one of the vents! During the entire visit, he was professional, knowledgable, efficient, and very easy to talk to. Finally decided to replace my HVAC system. Ray's has kept my 30 year old HVAC system going for a few years now. They are fast, responsive, professional, and always friendly. Whitney and Jenny in the office are always a pleasure to talk to, and really know the business. Every technician that has come out to service my system has been great. In December I received a few quotes for a complete replacement, including all ducts. Ray's provided me with multiple options, including a NEST thermostat, AprilAir HEPA filter and a MERV 14 and a MERV 16 system. I scheduled the replacement with Ray's for last week. They said they would arrive between 8 and 10am. They showed up at 8:30, and apologized for being late!! They came with a big crew, and had my old dinosaur of an HVAC removed the first day. My backyard looked like a war zone at first, but by the end of the first day, they had removed every single piece of my old unit. They made sure the inside and outside of my house was clean and organized before they left each day. Skyler and his crew were fantastic! You can tell that they have been working together for a while. They all knew exactly what they were doing. My new system was installed in 3 1/2 days and I am beyond happy!! Fantastic service from the initial call to the completion of the work. The office personnel questioned me about my AC issue until they had a complete understanding of what was occurring and what I believed to be the issue. They told me what their workload was and when a technician would be able to come - which was the afternoon of the following day. I received a text informing me of the window for his arrival. Note - two other firms gave me a projection of weeks to come The following day I got another text confirming the time for Pablo's arrival. During the day I received an update reconfirming his progress. As if that wasn't enough I then got a text from Pablo that he was on his way including his photo. Upon his arrival Pablo quickly diagnosed the issue of a capacitor and compressor fan motor failure. He had the capacitor on hand and immediately called his distributor to see if they had the fan motor - luckily they did. Pablo said he would pick it up and work us in with his scheduled jobs the following day. Wow. What service So what happens - I get an unexpected call from the office an hour later to inform me Pablo will come early to us first on our way to his scheduled job. The next morning I get a text at 7:15 that he's on his way. Pablo arrives, installs the new fan motor checks out the proper operation and is on his way leaving us with cooling ! What a pleasant surprise compared with so many other "service" calls. The team at Ray's should open a school for other companies on how to deliver customer service because they have it nailed from start to completion at all levels.
