However, the pharmacist could not have been nicer and accommodating. She brought us into a private room and gave my son a pharmacist costume if he got the shot along with several lollipops. We also got 10% off coupons for groceries, which was perfect timing with the holiday that week. The shot was over before we knew it and successful! The grocery store is also large! It has a wide variety of beer and liquor and a huge bakery. The customer service in the pharmacy, checkout and front counter were all exceptional.

There are two lanes for dropping off prescriptions and only the close lane to pick up. It's easy to conduct your business in privacy, not that there's anything remotely interesting about my prescriptions. The staff and pharmacists are always helpful and pleasant, and alternate in-store customers and drive-thru pretty evenly. Most times I am the only customer in the drive-thru. No shoes, no shirt, no service? Doesn't apply here. (Although you probably should wear a shirt)

A young lady verified my date of birth,name,address the she said "you medication is not the system yet ",then I was looking at her lying face the n I said" here is my hospital paperwork and the confirmed that this is an urgent medication ,it is already sent and sat in the pharmacy portal. After that she said here "here it is, but you can come back at 10am simply because the pharmacist will be here at 10 am" I said, the pharmacy schedule is 9am not, why you can't you open at 10 am then? You can your pharmacist to do it on the phone or WhatsApp because I already exist in your system." Then the young were on the phone with someone: pharmacist or someone else then responded "pharmacist can do it unless he is on the premises or we can deliver it you "my response was ok then I asked here "what is the window of the delivery" she answered "after 5pm" I was thinking may be noon. The story is not about lying, it is about convenience, the pharmacist makes things very convenient for him or her, but never cares about someone who is flying next couple hours, like my case my daughter wants to car to drive five miles to feed her advisor's cat because she is on spring break and after, my daughter will drive 20 miles to Addison, Illinois for practice. This is the second time, it happened to me, the first I was waiting for hour and half till ten thirty ,no apology no nothing. I had to wait because, that my wife's medication, I did not want come empty handed. I will never give them my money again. This Maxcare is a trash.

It's not the first time this happened to me at a compounding pharmacy. My prescription price was raised $25 without notice. I was already paying $125 out of pocket. LDN is prescribed for many reasons I'm disabled from medical negligence. My emails have not been answered as to why the price has gone up. Nobody in that pharmacy has been kind.

I walked in and was warmly greeted by Steve, the pharmacist. I was so taken aback I thought he must be talking to someone else but no. The effusive greeting was for me. Nice. My doctor had called in the prescription so it was there and waiting for me. Steve took the time to tell me what it was, how I should take it and mentioned a number of side effects that I could have from the meds. Not unusual for a pharmacy but this guy was just so darn nice in the way he did it! The walls of this small shop are full of items to purchase from therapeutic stockings, to bandages, to cold meds and other drug store type items. They even have a small cooler stocked with juices and waters which was great as it enabled me to begin taking my prescription immediately. Another plus? There is free valet parking out front so you can jump out of your car and be in and out in a flash (especially helpful when you aren't feeling well) This place probably gets all of its business from the doctors that are in the building that it occupies, as there is no outside signage, and other drug stores may be more convenient. And like other drug stores- they take insurance so this was no more expensive than where I usually get my scripts filled. But for that small town feel of a real pharmacy, without all the big box hype, Elm Plaza Pharmacy with Steve at the helm is a perfect choice.

They are kind and equally attentive to the laws and regulations which guide and restrict what they can and cannot do as well as the well being of the patient. I had an experience just before a holiday when all the doctors offices were closed and one of my Rx's was restricted by the wording on the prescription order which made the order a bit confusing. They went the extra mile, paged my doctor, got him on speaker and had him clarify a perceived restrictive order meant to be augmentative. No pharmacy has gone the extra mile regularly, placing the patient first while working within their restrictions. They are simply the best, kindest most caring group of pharmacists I have ever encountered and I hope they stay in business for the duration of my pharmaceutical needs.
