I hd taken it in to be cleaned w the sweat etc around the neck. I didn't look at it immediately because I was moving. I took it out of the bag Wednesday and panicked! They had-it looked like to me-gotten some kind of rusty stuff on it and pulled out the hem. I live now in Kingsport and looked for a new dry cleaners. Craig's was the closest to me with a 5 star rating. This morning I was checking to see if it was ready. This lady was very helpful and she explained what they must have done and how they could fix it. A very nice very young man was manning the desk this afternoon when I came back and he remembered me and courteously bagged it up. It was reasonable to for what they had to do to fix me for Sunday. I will bring all my cleaning the 17 miles--it was worth the trip!!! Thank you, folks! You saved my first Sunday!

They provide a mesh, zippered bag for one's laundry with your name on its tag. Clean clothes are delivered back to you with the individual categories bag separately in see-through plastic wraps. The jeans, socks & underwear, casual shirts were all folded and bagged by category. When I inform the owner of my dire need after having been in the hospital for an extended period I was completely out of clean clothing. We dropped off a 19 1/2" neck/36" sleeve white Gold Label shirt, and they gave us back a 17 1/2" neck, 36" sleeve white Saddlebred shirt. Dry-cleaned!? What! So, a quick search on Yelp led me to Harts. I came in, met some very friendly people, dropped off my shirt (on a Thursday), and picked it up on Monday -- good as new. The only thing that I cringed at was the approximately $4 it cost to dry-clean this shirt. I know that's not much, but for someone that tries to keep a minimal wardrobe and re-wears clothing as much as possible, that adds up. Fortunately, the shirt lasts through several wears and Harts will take care of it well.

Several machines were out of order, which made it even more frustrating trying to get laundry done. What really bothered me was that someone came in, collected money from the machines, and left without making any effort to clean or take care of the place. That tells you everything you need to know about how it's being run right now. There was also a ton of pet hair inside multiple machines. I'm allergic to pets, so that was a big issue for me and honestly pretty unacceptable in a shared laundry space. I even ended up picking up some of the garbage myself because it was getting on my nerves. It's a shame because I used to come here years ago, and it was a completely different place--clean, well-maintained, and you could tell the owners actually cared. Now it feels abandoned.
