We had Matt (Custom Concrete) do our concrete patio, stairs and retaining wall on our walkout basement entryway just about 3 years ago. We dug it out ourselves with a backhoe so it was all prepped for concrete and were overcharged for the work ($xx,xxx) Matt's workers showed up on the job whenever they felt like it (sometimes 6am and and other times in the afternoon) to work. They rarely worked a full day. We had to hound them to finish the project because they didn't show up daily to work. Project took longer than expected. Matt was rarely on the job. One of his workers stole from us as well. We still paid him for the work done when complete. 3 years later our retaining wall is leaning and when we reached out to Matt to check it out and let us know what can be done he answered once to let us know he'll call us in a week but we never heard from him and now he refuses to return our calls or respond through text. I needed my old driveway replaced, so I contacted Custom Concrete services, Matt showed up within thirty minutes. He went over every aspect of the job, step by step. He called with the estimate that evening, which I thought was quite reasonable, Right after the old driveway was torn out, it started to rain (never trust the weather man) Matt and his crew stayed on point, thru rain and mud low temperatures. Matt and his crew were friendly and very professional. I just wanted a new driveway,what I got actually was more than my expectations.
