I had a 3 foot area on the edge of my driveway that was crumbling, it butted up to the walkway to my front porch. the walkway is trimmed in brick. The guys cut out the crumbling concrete and added a line of brick to match the edge of my walkway and it looks FANTASTIC ! They returned the very next day and did an acid wash and I'm SO pleased with their work and attitude. Give these young men a call because I feel you'll get some quality work as well as great customer service! Btw, I am not related to them, never met them before, this is a true review of a business.

He told me I actually needed to add sand and some embers which would remedy the hissing noise (I had cleaned all that out thinking the lava rock was sufficient...ha!). I purchased the sand and embers and easy peasy I have a functioning fireplace that looks new again. Grateful I asked questions and impressed there was NO hard sell to purchase a new insert.

The communication was the first thing to note - phone calls, text messages to confirm the appointment. Then the morning of a phone call to let us know the men were about 45 minutes away. They arrived as stated, noticed a broken baffle and firebrick which were obvious to see, quoted us a price, had those supplies on their truck, and all was repaired and in good order in 45-50 minutes. They looked at the inside of the flue, checked the structural integrity, cleaned up after themselves and made it cleaner than before actually....great job all the way around. By comparison, we had tried earlier in the season to go with a Miami/Grove fireplace shop, but it was horrible and we never did see them. That group had made if for a day, 1-3pm. When I called the office they didn't know where the crew was. I called again at 4 and the office lady said she would call the crew. About 4:20 I got a call from the tech and said he would be about 25 minutes. That came and went and about 6:15 he said he would be there about 7:45-7pm - by that time after wasting a whole day inconveniencing us, our work and much more, we said forget it...and called who we should have in the first place, The Fireplace Shop in Joplin - tried to buy local to Grand Lake area, but learned our lesson well. I called on Monday December 16, 2024 and told the answering machine that my fireplace wasn't working. I called again on Wednesday, December 18 and still got an answering machine. I finally received a return call on Friday, December 20, five days after my first call. The message was "we really can't help you until after January 2. Call us then." So I was without a fireplace during the entire holiday. I called on January 2 and got scheduled for the 8th. I understand this is a busy season, but there is no excuse not to at least return a phone call within 48 hours. Unfortunately I can't recommend this company.
