Will aka Billiam was the one who gave us our bid and also came out to do the work and I cannot stress enough how nice and professional he was. He explained the work thoroughly and in a way that was easy for us to get, he made sure to get a hold of me and explain if something had arisen and was able to walk my wife and I through what needed to change from our initial estimate and and he cleaned up after himself as well. He felt like a guy I'd want to hang out with outside of an instance like this and was very personable. He was quick and prompt at handling the work we initially called him out for. We have a lot going on in our lives and no one wants an unexpected cost like this to hinder their plans like this one almost did, not only was Andy's Pipe Dream and their technician Will well priced and willing to back up their work, the were also excellent to interact with and it helped make the process of spending this much money on a necessary expense like this with them a no brainer and eased our concerns. If you want to skip the details, I'll say I up front recommend them and you should reach out if you need them. Our water line broke as we're in the process of selling a house -- great timing, right?! Aside from the bad timing, the fact of the matter was we needed someone out as soon as possible, but we wanted it done right. I had a few companies that were referred to us, and honestly I got some bad vibes... super low bids, lack of confidence in their ability to get it fixed, etc. Austin from Pierpoint was sort of my last hope as we needed to commit to somebody, and I appreciated their calm demeanor, fair quote, and ability to get it done. Another plumber I had out was too busy to do it, but I mentioned Pierpoint and he said, "Oh yeah, they're a good one to go with." I was able to communicate with them on project updates as we had to stay at the in-laws for a week and a half. They got all the proper permits, made sure the new meter went in the right spot and had it inspected with the city... all in all, I was confident they would do it the right way and they did. They ran into some obstacles which drove the bid up higher, which stinks, but I understand because there's no way of knowing what they might find when they dig, i.e. gigantic old stones in the driveway. I do feel like the crew's overall cleanup could've been better as our basement walls were covered in caked-on mud, as is the floor, and the driveway and neighbors house needed some more attention. However, I round up on my rating because they were there in a big way when an additional water line broke late at night on a weekend, basically a portion of the old city water line. The city water would've gone directly into my house, i.e. flooded the hell out of it in no time. Austin and someone on his crew had a generator ready to bilge water out of the trench, keeping my basement dry while they waited for the city to fix their issue. If you've ever waited on the city of KCMO, even on the phone, you know what a task that is... and this was on a weekend at night! I really appreciate them being there for that and handling it. All in all, I felt seriously at peace after meeting with them compared to the five other groups I had out to bid on it, and they backed that up. Glad to be done with it!

Recently, the faucet started leaking underneath the sink. When I contacted DTPS they asked for photos of the leak, which I sent. I guess they could tell from the photos that the faucet had failed, so they showed up with a new faucet (matching the one we had installed as closely as possible) the very next day and installed it and didn't charge us a penny. Yes, you read that right, they installed a brand new faucet at no charge to us AND the problem wasn't even with the original installation it was the faucet itself that had failed. Honestly, I was a little confused when I heard a new faucet was being installed, and I didn't really believe it until it was a done deal, because who does that? That is really going above and beyond in my book and if I could give DTPS 10 stars I would!
