I asked what cabinet distributors they used and she couldn't give me a name, she said they use many. I then asked what the difference would be between getting a particular cabinet color (not knowing what my options were or what would be in stock without a company name), and she said custom vs semi custom are just words and that it's all pretty much custom so it wouldn't make a difference. Upon asking a few more questions, she proceeded to tell me "I'm not sure if you saw, but our company has almost a 5-star review and that's almost unheard of". I didn't know what to make of it, but considering what some of their reviews mentioned, I felt as though we were going to get the same treatment. She said she'd get back to me by Friday with a quote and a visual of the kitchen updates-- it was Tuesday that day. We gave her a call that Friday afternoon to follow up and she insisted that the cabinet company was taking a while and that she'd get back to us by Monday the latest if not over the weekend. We waited and got nothing so my husband called her the following Wednesday without ever hearing from her. She continued to reassure us that she hasn't forgotten about us and that she'd get back to us by Monday for sure. It's now been 21 days and we got no updates or any communication from them. It's clear that this is a pattern for them and I'd advise someone looking to get work done by someone reliable and honest to look elsewhere.

Selvin the team lead is a true craftsman, knows his stuff, and clearly takes pride in the quality of his work. Others on the team worked equally hard and they have all been with Calabrese for at least 10 years. My husband and I bought a 30-year old home this past fall, and we needed our front door and our…read moreinterior doors - plus all of our door hardware - replaced. We also needed a storm door installed on our front door. Finally, we needed some tile-work completed in our kitchen. We purchased everything from Smoot Lumber, Lowe's, and Ideal Tile, and Smoot provided a few recommendations for contractors. We got a few bids, and decided to go with Finished Touches, LLC. We ended up being *really* pleased with their work. (My background is in residential real estate development, so I know good work when I see it...) There was a lot of attention to detail. When questions came up, the folks at Finished Touches would ask us - as opposed to just "guessing" and moving forward. They were doing our doors, so we gave them a key, and they were very trustworthy. They were also very respectful of our recently refinished hardwood floors, white basement carpet, and new kitchen appliances. Because our Smoot and Lowe's orders came in at different times, our schedule was pretty loose, but Finished Touches was okay with that. Finally, their prices were very reasonable, and aside from their awesome tile-guy, they self-performed their work. These are good guys - definitely check them out if you're doing renovations on your place. (Note: We did our own door and door hardware schedule, and paid for all items ourselves. Finished Touches picked up the items at the retailers for us.)
