Panorama Remodeling will be the only contractor we use from now on! George is a master project manager; his crew works hard & has good workmanship. After receiving several quotes, we decided to go with Panorama Remodeling for our first renovation project. George came highly recommended by our friends & he stood out during the quote process as he was extremely communicative and helpful. We had a large unfinished basement that we wanted to finish with a bedroom, bathroom, wet bar, & 2 egress windows. There was some additional work added to our kitchen, pantry & laundry room too. About 95% of the work was completed in just 4 weeks. The remining work was only delayed due to back ordered cabinets. During the 1-2 week wait, George communicated with us regularly and we never felt forgotten, and he came back as soon as the materials arrived with the full crew in order to wrap up the project. Once he starts your job, it is his main focus until the project is completed. George is on site every day and is extremely hands on. He clearly loves what he does and treats his clients with a level of respect and kindness that you don't normally hear about in this line of work. We had fears from hearing people's renovation experiences and with two little kids and busy jobs we were nervous about delays. George reassured us that he would treat our home and family as his own. Another worry was quick but shoddy workmanship, I am detailed oriented and since it was our first time working with him, I had my list after each day of work so that I wouldn't forget to mention it. Turns out that wasn't even necessary, by the end of the project George not only saw everything I did and had his crew fix it but was pickier than us about how certain things looked & surprised us by completing work even better than we could have imagined. As an added bonus, everyone was so sweet to our kids and by the end the kids were sad to see them go. They loved giving them high fives and waves each morning. We can't wait to have them all back for future projects.

We worked with Panorama Remodeling to renovate the basement in our new home. From our initial outreach to the project's completion, George was very communicative and made the process as simple as possible. With any renovation project, there are unforeseen costs, however, George provided us with pricing for each scenario should his team need to deal with any of those uncertain items. His team was very polite; they cleaned and locked up basement at the end of each day. He delivered this project ahead of schedule and exceeded our expectations! We plan to use Panorama again for future projects.

We hired George and Panorama remodeling to remodel our main bathroom and we couldn't be more pleased with our decision. Before we found George, we got several quotes from unorganized, pushy, high pressure, shady companies (someday I'll get around to writing these reviews! Ha). Compared to the other contractors we had encountered, George was a breath of fresh air. Right from the start he was professional and communicative. He listened to our wish list and promptly gave us a detailed quote that was very competitive and within our budget. He started and finished the project on time. He and everyone on his team were courteous and respectful in our home (at times we had a dog and a toddler running around). George's work is high quality and he very much pays attention to the details. Our vision was to turn our very small, crowded, outdated bathroom into a stylish roomier space. The finished product is absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations! We love our new bathroom. I would absolutely recommend Panorama!

George and the team at Panorama helped us with a wide range of projects: a kitchen overhaul, two bathrooms, a powder room, changing a laundry room into a wet bar, and converting a garage into a home gym. We were new to remodeling and thankful to be able to trust George's judgment and good taste throughout the process. He and the entire crew took ownership and pride in their work. George, in particular, acted as a thought partner as we worked through different design elements. He was (very) patient as we iterated through different ideas and concerns and always very responsive, if not even proactive in anticipating our needs. His team was fantastic and professional through the pandemic. Each team member brought unique and refined skills to the project. And at the end of each day, the team took time to clean up and sweep out, understanding that we were working from home. They were always considerate of our pets and children, who were living through the construction. One of the things we appreciated most was their patience with a number of our idiosyncratic asks. We know these added time and work for the team. But at no point did they push back, and instead made sure that we got the home, down to the nitty details, that we wanted. Over our time with them, we grew to have a lot of affection, admiration, and appreciation for this team. If we ever have future needs, Panorama will be our first call.

Here's a breakdown of the work: - Finished construction of an unfinished basement - Herbert guided me through the entire floor plan, explaining the electrical layout, wall placements, and ideal appliance orientation - Built a kitchen from scratch -- excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail - Painted the entire house, including ceilings, walls, floors, and even the garage They completed all of this in just over two weeks, working 7 days a week from 7 AM to 7 PM. The quality of the work was outstanding. Herbert was reliable, responsive, and extremely accommodating. I had multiple change requests during the job, and he handled all of them without hesitation. After getting several quotes, Herbert's pricing was the most competitive. All work was completed to code and with professionalism. If you're looking for a skilled, jack-of-all-trades contractor, Herbert is your guy. He brings in specialists for larger tasks (electrical, plumbing, landscaping, etc.) and manages the project seamlessly. I'll definitely be calling him for future work on my properties and strongly recommend him to others.

Communication with the owner was exceptional from start to finish. No long wait times, no back-and-forth delays--just clear, prompt, and professional responses that made coordination effortless. What impressed me most was their ability to perform under extremely challenging conditions. With 25-30 mph wind gusts and a three-story exterior to paint, I fully expected delays. Instead, they performed absolute magic. Their precision, attention to detail, and commitment to getting the job done safely and correctly were remarkable. This project was for one of our premier rentals in Alexandria, and the final result looks fantastic. I would absolutely use JZ Painting again for future projects and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others looking for a reliable, high-quality painting crew. Update: Apparently if you are critical and review CPC you will be called out as a coward, a…read moreschemer, and accused of racial bias by the owner. All because I was following the condo associations rules, especially since my wife is the president of the board, as mentioned. It's a bold strategy cotton, let's see if it pays off for him! He also fails to mention that his conversation with Crystal (a black woman since we're mentioning race) took place 3 days before the job was to be done (and almost 3 weeks after he told me he'd send over the COI). I also paid the deposit for the job and secured the date on May 4th (not the 19th as insinuated). All I have to say is that if you do business with Willie...good luck! I had hired Cabarello Painters twice before for my rental property, so they were my go-to hire to paint my condo before new tenants were moving in. I called up Willie (the owner) and scheduled about a month ahead of time as we had a tight timeframe between move out and move in. I paid the deposit to secure the slot. At the time of booking, I informed Willie that per my condo building's rules he had to sign a Certificate of Insurance (COI). This is required for all venders (plumbers, movers, contractors) that do work in the building as it is a high rise. No other contractors/vendors I have used had any issues providing the signed COI per the building's instructions. Willie initially pushed back on this, but after I confirmed the requirements with my Building Manager, he told me that he would "send it to me tomorrow." About two weeks later I had still not received the COI from Cabarello painters, so I followed up again with Willie, who told me he had sent it, and to ask the Building Manager to "check her spam folder." After confirming that the manager didn't receive anything, I asked Willie a 3rd time if he could provide the required COI. Instead of sending it over, he asked to speak directly to my Building Manager, so I provided the required contact information. After their conversation he called me back angrily stating, "They want me to cover everything to the left, right and above and below - F&%K that, man!" I later found out that he took a similar tone with my Building Manager as well. Three weeks after accepting the job, he told me that he would not be able to do it and he would refund the deposit. I now was left with only a few days to schedule new painters in the tight timeframe between move out and move in. If Willie had simply been honest up front and told me that he could not or did not want to do the job because of the insurance requirements for vendors, I would have understood and simply found another painter, which I ultimately had to do under extreme time pressure. Instead, I was lied to multiple times and treated very poorly, especially for a repeat customer. I was very disappointed that this happened because I had used Cabarello painters before at my rental property and was satisfied. Finally, to add insult to injury, my deposit was paid back to me after a month, instead of the 15 days that Willie had promised me on the phone and I was not refunded a "materials" fee, which he had never mentioned. Unfortunately, it seems to be Willie's MO - telling you one thing and then doing another. After hiring Cabarello Painters for multiple jobs in the past I will not hire them again.

He quoted me $1800 which I agreed to because I have never had wall paper installed and I assumed that's the going rate. It did not include prep or moving furniture. He asked me to have the contractor who was working on my basement complete the prep, which we did, but it was not good enough. After an aggressive discussion over the phone with Willie, I asked his wallpaper installers to leave and I went forward to hire a new company. I receive two quotes from two separate companies for prep, furniture moving, and install one for $400 and one for $650. Willies price was three times that. I advise you get three quotes before hiring Willies company and also be advised that he has quite the temper. I will just copy and paste the text from the owner of this business to me. It is outrageous and completely Unprofessional.

He was able to show me examples of his work and give me a quote on the spot. After he knew I was going with his firm, things turned a bit sour. I wanted to chat about a few things so he told me to call at 5 o'clock the next day. I called at 5 o'clock the next day and he seemed a bit irritated. So I asked him if it was a good time to talk. He said well if you want to talk with a toddler around. He was quite curt. He told ME to call him AT 5! The next day I reminded him he told me that I should call at that time and he was still complaining about talking with his child around. If you do not have a baby sitter do not ask clients to call you. I thought he would apologize for his rudeness, he didn't. Instead, I believed I was apologizing. Nuts. Then, I realized I had to remove two medicine cabinets that would leave holes in the walls that would need drywall patches. I told him about that and he said it would be $50 each extra just to do the drywall patches. Fine. Then a couple weeks later he said well are those the kind of cabinets that are hung on the wall or leave a hole when removed. I said there are holes. He proceeded to tell me then that that would probably be more than $50. So, if there are nail holes in the wall it's $50, but if there is a drywall hole it's more? I do not understand that. Mind you, I have emails where he actually wrote "confirmed" on items/clarifications to make sure they were included in the contract. I knew to do that because of the way his contract was written. Apparently, his contract only goes one way, his way. He states specifically that his contract is the entire contract: "Exclusions--Anything not mentioned in scope." I had in the contract to paint the outdoor shutters and white dry lock on the exposed cinderblock walls in the "downstairs laundry room." He's talking to me on the phone the day before, obviously not reading his own contract, and he says the shutters were not included, but he says that's okay. I reminded him they were in the contract. The next day when he goes to start work, he tells me the entire basement is not included. Mind you, he agreed to use dry lock in the "downstairs laundry room." There is no exposed cinderblock in the home except in the laundry room in the basement. He told me he didn't have the basement in any of his notes or video and he asked me if I remember going down there with him. I said I didn't remember. I reminded him of the cinderblock dry lock paint and he said well I assumed that was in the ground level - - so he didn't refer to his video that would clearly not show any exposed cinderblock above ground level ? Mind you, the contract states "Prep and paint all walls, ceilings, trim, and doors throughout the home." Well, he asked for an additional $2800 more. When I said no, it's just getting too expensive for me he dropped it to $2500 more (the contract was already ~$11,000). Mind you, he contracted with me to do the entire home. He reneged on his contract. What was I going to do? Take him to court? I need my home painted and I don't want someone to be forced to paint and do a bad job. Not saying that he would do a bad job, but I also needed it done as soon as possible. At a minimum, he should've owned up to the error. Instead, he tried to put the blame on me because I did not go in the basement with him. Seriously? If he had owned up to the mistake and given me a much better price, I probably would've gone with him. Mind you, his crew was already there and he had started putting paper down in a few rooms. He probably lost more money taking his crew away and losing a day of scheduled painting. I am just very disappointed. I think he probably would do a beautiful job, but I can't go with someone who changes the price while at the job. Is it my responsibility to walk into every room with him to make sure he has every room in his notes and video?
