Used for bathroom renovation. Justin is a great GC and has a great team of professionals for construction, plumbing and electrical. The results are amazing. Will definitely use again.

    wine cellar

We decided to work with Justin as a result of his responsiveness and professionalism during the scoping and quoting process. It was a great decision for the projects he completed for us which included replacing a bathtub with tiled shower, removing closets and repairing walls for the installation of new closets and the installation of a wine cellar. Justin's crews were always on-time, consultative, respectful and knowledgable. We were very happy with the end result of each project, including the attention to detail that Justin and his team took to ensure any concerns that were raised were quickly addressed. All-in-all a great experience, and we will be using Calabrese Home Improvement again.

    Primary bath remodel

We contracted Calabrese Home Improvement to do substantial renovations to a house we just purchased and it was fantastic working with Justin and his crew! Throughout the whole process he was super responsive and gave us really helpful recommendations in how we could layout the spaces. Justin was recommended to us by our realtor who we really trust and we could not be happier with the results. His estimates were very accurate and he accommodated additional requests that we added on throughout the process. He helped renovate our kitchen, powder room, primary bath, dry bar area, entryway flooring, primary closet, replaced all interior doors, recessed lighting, and opened up some walls. His team did really great quality work on each of the rooms. We will definitely be using him for our future projects! I highly recommend!

They did a great job remodeling our bathrooms. They partnered with us in the planning process and really listened to us. The crew was amazing!

300lb barn door hung with hardware, plus support header built

Justin and his team did an incredible job, once again! We used Calabrese Home Improvement for a large-scale renovation in our last home, in 2016. When we moved, he was the first one we called. He helped us with some handyman work - moving outlets, cleaning up drywall, taking down closet shelving, etc. as well as built structural support for a large barn door, and hung a matching wall panel. His team underestimated the weight of the barn door and, no questions asked and without even mentioning it to me, they opened the wall back up to make the support stronger - and I'm so appreciative! Similarly, they thought through the mechanics of hanging the wall panel, asking me questions about preferences I hadn't even thought of. I was so impressed with the team's attention to detail, ease of communication, and professionalism. I'm so glad I called Justin again!

Justin and his team were amazing!!! We wanted to do some renovations to our bathroom. Justin walked me through some options and he also made some recommendations. The communication with him was excellent and he was very responsive. I even asked for a new toilet to be installed and he was very accommodating. They showed up on time and completed the project on schedule!!! I am very, very happy with the work!! Highly recommend Calabrese Home Improvement!!!

Beautiful new and refinished hardwoods throughout our main level. Calabrese was awesome!

Justin and Dago of Calabrese did an AMAZING job laying new flooring and refinishing the hardwoods in the main level of our home. I can say with 100% certainty that will will be hiring Calabrese for all home improvement projects. Strong attn to detail: Dago works with Justin and handled the install and floor refinishing. He and his team were amazing. They showed up by 9am each day and worked their tails off, staying until almost 6pm the first day b/c they were on a roll. The flew through everything but still maintained an incredible attn to detail. They repaired our old wood floors beautifully, filling gaps and feathering in to the new floors, and the entire time they were incredibly careful with taping off our house to control the dust. They even put an extra layer of plastic in a closet to protect our coats! Fast: Our entire living room had the carpet removed, hardwoods installed, and the rest of the main level refinished. This took all of two days. It was insane how efficient they were! Great Communication: Justin was stellar about touching base with us in the evenings whenever we had questions. He's available over the phone, email, or text, which is AWESOME. And he's very thorough in his replies. A lot of contractors will skip over questions or have confusing answers, but Justin was fantastic. I've said it once in this review, but we're absolutely hiring Calabrese again! We're thrilled with the results!

We chose Calabrese Home Improvement to do a complete remodel of our home in 2018 and are thrilled with how everything turned out! This was a HUGE project that involved just about anything you can think of - knocking down walls, a bump-out extension on our top floor and finishing an attic space, a full kitchen gut/remodel, foundation repair, adding a bathroom and powder room, installing and refinishing hardwood floors, and re-plumbing and re-wiring the whole house. Justin and his crew were fantastic to work with throughout the whole process. He was great with communication, both in terms of keeping us updated and answering our questions. He has great contacts with suppliers, and took the time to go with us when we were picking out materials and making design and layout decisions. He also provided some excellent advice in terms of design and function throughout the whole project, which really helped us achieve a final result that we love. The crew at Calabrese are incredibly skilled, efficient, and personable. During the final stage of our project we were living in part of the house with our dogs and kids while a lot of work was still going on, and everyone worked with us to make it as easy as possible. Justin takes a lot of pride in his work and truly cares about his clients - this came across clearly the first time we met him, and it was a big reason why we chose to work with Calabrese for such a big project. We're very glad we did!

My husband and I are renovating our guest and kids' bathrooms, and Amy was truly fantastic to work with. She was patient, thoughtful, and really creative, and she quickly understood what I was going for--something elevated but still within a budget. She had seen me working with other designers in the store before and clearly picked up on my style and preferences. Amy helped me find beautiful marble along with really complementary floor and niche tiles at great prices, and she even helped make some deals work. She genuinely has a great eye and comes up with tile combinations that feel intentional and a little different. Bryce was also great. After a frustrating earlier experience where a designer didn't send me my designs and then left the job--wasting time and setting things back--Bryce went out of his way to help turn that experience around. He was kind, responsive, and very focused on making sure I walked away feeling good about the store and my experience. He also helped make pricing work on some closeout tiles, which I really appreciated. I've spent at least six or seven hours in this store over the past few weeks, and everyone I interacted with was helpful and pleasant. If you're looking for strong design help, good pricing, and people who genuinely care about customer experience, this location is absolutely worth visiting.

But once we scheduled the appointment with CKB, lots of other projects popped up with our old, new house: knocking pipes when the hot water is on, an old fireplace mantle with water damage behind it, a wall-mounted tv that the previous owners stuck right into flammable insulation. But it didn't matter! Quinn, Cherie, and Carlos completed our whole list within ONE WEEK and within our budget. The team painted everything from ceilings to baseboards and covered up the previous yellow and navy blue paint! They completely replaced the damaged drywall behind our brick fireplace and installed a new electrical outlet for the wall mounted tv, in addition to adding fireproof insulation! And they fixed our knocking pipes by cutting into our walls and spray foaming around the culprits. Totally professional and on time every day. It was great! Can't wait to have them back to renovate our old bathrooms.

Primary emphasis was a layout that could evolve over time and recapturing some floorspace. Start to finish was 3-4 weeks. This included tearing out popcorn ceiling, wiring in ~11 new recessed lights, new flooring, new kitchenette, small updates to a guest bathroom, painting all the things (including a chalkboard 1/3 wall) and a redesigned fascia for our fireplace. It also included a "secret room" for the kiddo that Quinn took on as a personal project, as we've been juggling complex medical issues for a few years. Needless to say that resulted in a lot of smiles and it has been getting a ton of use. The plywood in the secret room is 3/4" and we plan to add some rock climbing grips to it in the future. Pearl and Monica were easy to communicate with and any issues (ex: some painting needed to be revisited) were handled promptly. They were very flexible with pricing and really went out of their way to make this work for us. I'm deeply appreciative of the work they did for our child and the flexibility they demonstrated with some of my last-minute design tweaks. This is an easy recommend from me.

In July/August, we experienced a ceiling leak that caused significant damage throughout our home, impacting two bathrooms, the playroom, entryway hallway, and laundry room. After water mitigation and demolition were completed, we were left needing extensive repairs and full remodels of the affected areas. This was our first time dealing with a major home issue, and navigating insurance, contractors, and conflicting opinions felt overwhelming and stressful. I spoke with several contractors and received multiple estimates, but Alan stood out immediately. He was the first to respond and the first to give clear, straightforward, and honest answers. Beyond that, Alan is genuinely such a fun and easygoing person to work with, which made a stressful situation feel much more manageable. He has a great eye for design and prioritizes top-notch materials while still being realistic and respectful of budget. He guided us through the design process, helped with material selection, and made thoughtful recommendations every step of the way. Marlon and Emmanuel are incredibly knowledgeable, respectful, and truly kind. They treated our home with care and always took the time to explain what they were doing, which made us feel confident and at ease throughout the process. Fast forward to today, we finally have our home back -- and we couldn't be happier with the results! Not having functional bathrooms and access to certain rooms for months took a toll on our family and our mental health. Click Construction stepped in during a very difficult time and helped restore not just our home, but our peace of mind. My only regret is not finding them sooner. I've attached before-and-after photos so you can see the incredible transformation for yourself. All showcase quality IMO. Thus, we've plenty of recent experience with KBS outfit and feel confident in making the highest recommendation. In summary - KBS is not too big nor too small, not too expensive but not cheap, so they were just right for us - average homeowners who seek the very best value. In this regard, KBS was just right. Some highlights........ 1) The crew is experienced and cohesive. They've been together for a good long time. They work well together and we never observed inefficiency. They just work hard all day long. 2) I never had to worry about workers in our home. Honest, polite, professional, kind, and responsive are words I'd use to describe them. 3) Communications were timely and valuable. My advice is to take notes of every communication for reference. In one case we forgot it was our responsibility to acquire an appliance. Uh oh, it was our fault and a written record would have been useful to refer to. Yikes! 4) The budget estimates were honored. there was no bait and switch. Prices were transparent to us. 5) We enjoyed reviewing recommended selections of cabinets, floor, hardware, appliances, sinks etc. Today, we feel somewhat knowledgeable with KBS as our tutors. 6) Cleanup and construction debris was timely. Thanks! 7) The crew was OK with our two dogs. I think our doggies missed them when the jobs were done. Final note: The sign of a great contractor is NOT that nothing goes wrong. Rather it is how the contractor responds when something does go wrong. In this regard, KBS took care of problems I was not even aware of, and when I was, they swarmed to make it right ASAP. For example, a quartz kitchen countertop cracked. Surprised. The piece was faulty. The crack was not due to poor installation. We only had to make one call to Dan who took care of it. Easy peasy. No hassles or haggles about responsibility or cost. Perfect. I've a few more impressive examples. So the more work we observed, the more confident we became in KBS. In my life "trust" is earned and hard to achieve in the contracting world. So, it is with pleasure to say KBS was trusted. We'd hire them again whenever we have a future need. Simply excellent!

This was a big project and from the moment we met with Dan, we knew we wanted to work with him. He helped us redesign our first floor (including kitchen and bathroom), meeting with us multiple times to come up with a design that worked for our needs. He helped us figure out what materials and design elements worked for our home, really going above and beyond to help us make a lot of decisions. His experience meant that he was able to take our vision of what we wanted our home to be and turn it into reality. The actual project itself could not have gone better. The crew was phenomenal. Their attention to detail and quality of work was exquisite. We did not run into a single issue for this entire project and the final result massively exceeded our expectations. AND it finished ahead of schedule! We HIGHLY recommend The Kitchen and Bath Studio. Dan and his crew were wonderful to work with and the quality of their work is exceptional.
