I normally do not allow door to door salesman to give me quotes. I chatted and decided why not it might be something for me. The salesman came, gave me so many accolades about the company: family owned, small, showed pictures of the three family members that owned the company. Sales man told me from this point on I was HIS customer and I should only contact him. Windows were order and was told it would be 4-6 months but being that the order was for white it could be less. 2.5 months later I get a call from the company to set up installation. No contact from the sales man. Chose the date and was ready. Installers arrive 8:01 am on the day of installation. No windows in hand, nothing had been delivered. In the attempt to communicate it was indicated that these two had to go pick up the windows at the warehouse. 2.5 hours later they arrive back with the 5 windows and get to work. All seemed well, I was out of the way keeping my dogs out of their way. I notice the one picture window was not exactly what I ordered but actually liked this one a bit better. Then installers leave, the old windows were at the end of the driveway and I was told that they would be back tomorrow. (was that for the garbage, was that for something else? I did not know). I called the company and said I was told they would be back tomorrow and the gal told me that another crew comes and wraps the windows because that takes double the time to do that work. Ok, I then expected someone to arrive the next day. Well that came and went and the week came and went. One week later on the Monday I called to find out what the status was. Clueless, they did not know it had to be checked. Still all the old windows are at the end of the driveway. Tuesday, a couple of people show up to wrap the windows. They take out their equipment to cut and fit for the size of each window. No tarp, just working on my driveway. I return home a little after 2pm and they were packing up to leave. I pulled into my driveway thinking all was good. I looked at the windows and noticed that they only completed 3 of the 5 windows. How does this happen?? Are there not work orders??? So called the company. They again had no clue. Also, as I walked around I was finding all kinds of metal scraps around the driveway and yard. I picked up what I saw at the moment. The following morning I am preparing to leave and notice where I had parked my vehicle in the driveway there was a lot of metal strips around the car and under the car. As I looked under the car I notice that my drivers tire had a piece of metal in the inside wall of the tire. Immediately drive to my service station to see if it was repairable. NOPE. Need a new tire. I was not a happy camper. I then needed to find a way to work. I called the company had to leave a message. Still no idea when work would be completed. Late afternoon someone pulls into my driveway. This guy checked around and indicated that someone would be back the next day. The only thing the company said at the time was Sorry, we are short staffed lately. Early the next morning one guy shows up to work on the windows, at the same time I get a text from the company saying that they don't know if they can do the work since a storm is coming in and it might be another week or so before they get to it I said that someone was already there, I was asked to tell the individual to leave because CRI would be handling it from here on out. That individual did not leave, would not leave said he was told to be there. The company then sends someone else out to "supervise". Windows complete - more mess. Inspector arrives completes the look around asks for permit. Permit? Is there one? Well a few weeks later I get a bill. I call and ask to speak to someone in billing. I was asked why? A bill! Left a detail message about not being happy with the bill: The window I ordered was not the one I received and knew there should be a price difference, that I had to clean up, that my tire was no good after finding metal in it. No return call, a week later a call asking if my check was in the mail. I called back stated my case and was told that the tire could have been plugged, that he could send someone over to clean up (it has not been more than a month) and was not willing to budge other than the difference in window price. I was not happy, and stated that. I was told I could pay the bill that he would be sending me or he would put a lien on my house. WOW! now threatening me. Not willing to listen and then threatening liens. Well I decided to file with the BBB and The Department of Labor and Industry. Had all the facts, pictures and evidence showing the mess that was left, my tire bill and what I thought was fair price. Suddenly, this guy is now willing to talk. I was able to reduce my cost subtracting my time, tire, and clean up. Something that could have been done as good customer service.

Poor Workmanship, Zero Accountability. This one-star review reflects the aftermath of working with Custom Remodelers Inc. From start to finish, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. Communication was essentially nonexistent--calls and voicemails went unanswered, and no one took responsibility for resolving issues. We ordered four replacement windows. During installation, the blinds on our living room windows were removed and damaged beyond repair. We were later told that Jason was "supposed" to have informed us to remove them beforehand, but he never communicated that. Despite this, we were left fully responsible for replacing the damaged blinds. The outside of our house was also left unacceptable. Cardboard and trash were left under our deck, and broken glass from the window removal was left in the rocks in front of our home--posing a clear safety hazard to our small children. When we tried to address these issues, we were met with finger-pointing and indifference. "It's Nikki's job at the shop", "It's service work", "You need to speak with someone higher up than me" etc etc. JASON BARTHOLOMEW 1-651-248-0617, who sold us the project, blamed the office and stated he has "thousands of customers" and couldn't follow up with everyone. I asked who I should call if he couldn't help me, and after the 3-4 time he said I needed to lower my voice and hung up. Others we spoke with said it wasn't their responsibility or that no one was available to help. At no point did anyone apologize or make a meaningful effort to fix the situation. If you value communication, professionalism, and basic accountability, There's a reason they have a very low rating here, we should've known when the sales pitch started with how great they are, and all the magazines their work was shown in... I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere unless you want to file a Better Business Bureau complaint like we will. read more

Gene Heath was initially nice on the first meeting, but when we were working with him on another day, he came to the house and flew off the handle. Screaming and yelling at us. Accusing us of lying to him, purple in the face. We asked him repeatedly to leave. He finally did. Police were called after he left. Me and my wife I've never seen this kind of unprofessional behavior before, especially not from a remodeling company. Do not work with them read more

Hucksters. Extremely outrageous initial price followed by a 50% discount for anything. Dishonest statements regarding building codes.

Door to door sales pitch, came to the door of an elderly resident who also had a camera doorbell so the whole interaction was caught on camera. Clearly, this sales man for this company was targeting a senior and pressuring them with 'financing' and all sort of other crap, wouldn't take a no for an answer to the point it was harassment. How pushy this man was, I wouldn't hire this company at all just due to the interaction I watched on camera. This company should retrain these people, so they also don't seem so desperate to get a dime from a senior. I now have to worry about this senior's safety, it was that bad. read more

I recently had this company out for a quote on windows. They offer dual-pane vinyl windows, and the initial price they quoted was absurdly out of line. I said no, and then they began offering to do the work for less money. I continued to decline. The salesman was extremely rude and unprofessional. Whether it's a lack of professionalism, manliness, or something else, to me, it shows a severe lack of integrity within the entire company. For context, they came to my door--I didn't call them. I feel this company is predatory and engages in high-pressure sales tactics. In the future, every time they knock on my door, I'll make an appointment purely to waste their staff's time. This company won't see a penny from me in this lifetime. have a nice day :) read more

21 windows installed in 2021. Incorrect measurements No measurements taken No communication Sloppy workmanship LATE do not show up when promised Lying about communicating no-show Made us feel really crappy about the whole situation Some windows have 1/8" gaps between the window and the side. Some are crooked. One closes with effort. Some leak and freeze up in winter We regret what they did to our house. We got ripped off. read more

No Quote A young guy came to our door and told us that we could get a free estimate for our fascia and roof replacements. We were led to believe that CRI would lower their price so we could get them replaced within our budget. I don't blame him. I think that is what he was trained to say. We knew that the forgivable loan would not cover it, but he insisted we set an appointment. So we did. As it turned out, we didn't get a quote because we don't have the $15,000 needed to have both the fascia and roof replaced. Tod also would not give us a quote for just the fascia because, as he said, it would not be a good idea since we would have to have our roof replaced later anyway and, at that time, the fascia would, again, have to be replaced. Him and another guy were nice enough, but Tod would not talk to my husband alone. He answered my questions, but it ended up being a waste of our and their time. After reading all the negative reviews, I think we missed a bullet. But, at least, it would have been nice to, at least, get a quote, from a professional, so we could have a ball park figure to work with. read more

I urge everyone to do research before going with this company. I've waited a while to write this because I needed to gather my thoughts after one of worse experiences I've ever had. I'm hoping they'll use this for constructive criticism and do better the future dealing customers. I won't go into detail but basically a lack of communication, delays, and mismeasured windows (several of many, which had to be remade) led to complaint having to be filed with BBB. Literally the the day after the complaint, everything fell into place! Updates like you wouldn't imagine and an install date. Had I been financing my order I wouldn't have made the complaint, and this review would have over already. The pros to this entire experience is the guys who installed my windows, perfectionist and genuinely good hearted guys! Unfortunately the previous two crews had the job of trying to figure out what went wrong from the office. I commend them as well. I was actually still expected to pay full price after all this which I thought was an absolute joke! We came to a number but I felt as though there was alot more room to adjust. So far though after roughly a month after being installed, I absolutely love my windows! read more

We had CRI (Bob) come out to do a bid on a patio door that had had the glass broken and needed to be replaced asap. That was Jan 5th, we were told six weeks out with a price of over $6,000,and that the price was only good for a short time according to Bob. The door model was to have a stop that drops down from the top, a lifetime transferable warranty. None of which was true. The warranty is not transferable and the door does not have the functions we were told. Communication was terrible with the sales contractor. I finally checked in after six weeks to see if the door was in and was told it was backordered for at least two weeks. Several times I tried to contact him again with questions and he never got back to me until I asked for someone else assuming maybe he was on an extended vacation and suddenly the door was in. It was another couple of weeks to have it installed, the first time it was scheduled they canceled at the last minute because the installer was not feeling well. When we stressed this was a security issue because of the broken glass and it was already late we were told, "no it is right on time", so the 6 weeks promised was now at over 11 weeks, not on time in my opinion. The installer did a decent job installing it when he did show up. When I went to clean all the stickers and dust off, I discovered the screen had a ripped hole in it. They have said they are going to rescreen it, fingers crossed they show up soon for that. Would not ever use CRI again and would advise others not to. We have contacted CRI again concerning the fact that the door does not have the featured functions but have not as of today heard back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

WARNING*********** What horrendous customer service!! We purchased windows from and installed by CRI Remodelers. We had to find out on our own when the job was finished, no one ever contacted us to let us know. The information that we were told today was that the job was finally completed and inspected. We never received any phone call, email, txt from CRI Remodelers, nothing! Bad customer service, and we will not ever recommend this company! Ever! They did not keep us informed of anything. I hired this company to do my roof. I specifically said, and it's on the contract, not to start until after the holidays. I'm woken up 3 days before Christmas with ppl on my roof at 8 am. Not one person on site speaks English. My contact person is "out sick." All they got for me is "sorry." This is why someone on site should speak English so they can READ THE F*****G CONTRACT!!!! When I called the main office, the person on the phone was rude and not at all helpful. By the end of the job, no one showed up to do a walk around. This isn't about the quality of work. I had three windows put in and a sliding glass door. The work they did was good. I'm giving three stars because I feel my time wasn't valued. There were issues with the instal and time I took off work and work wasn't able to be done or no one showed up. Additional they reused some existing pieces because they didn't have the pieces and they didn't stain underneath the windowsill board so standing up you can see the bear wood until you sit down on the carpet you can see it. Lastly the contract was for triple pane and the large window is double pane. I would expect at least a price cut because of the different window used. Nice folks but I'm disappointed that they stuck to the contract price with the changes and my wasted days off from work. read more

I have been incredibly frustrated during the entire process of my CRI window installation. I have worked with many companies for home repairs over the past number of years including HVAC, carpet, appliances, windows, roof, pest control, etc., and have never had as poor of experience as I've had with CRI. We ordered windows and a patio door on 6/7/2021. The sales person repeatedly indicated that he was not going to pressure us, but then went on to offer pricing that was only available if we ordered right then and did not wait, so he did pressure us. I was told that we would be getting the best windows on the market, better than the well-known name brand competitors. Windows were expected to be installed in September. I agreed to $22,956 for 10 windows and patio door, and paid half upfront. The windows were installed 11/29/2021. Issues with original installation included screws sticking out of windows, night latches installed backwards or on the wrong side of window, sliding door installed with air gaps, multiple windows installed crooked/not plumb, spray foam insulation missing over one window, locks crooked or difficult to operate, scuffs on patio door, caulk blobs on window glass, ripped screens, window sashes/components misaligned or crooked, cold air coming in through window. Some of these issues were manufacturer-related (like the latches and screws on windows), and some were installer-related (like the windows installed crooked). Lindsey Windows is the manufacturer. The next day I called and left voicemail about the issues, to discuss pricing adjustment. I felt I was paying a premium price for a premium product, and that I had not received a premium product. I didn't want someone to come finish the trim without first discussing price. I had many calls over the next weeks trying to connect with the right people. For more than the next year, for all of 2022 and into 2023: I have had installers and the manufacturer here multiple times, often just to see what the issues are because they aren't tracking the issues themselves. I've had many appointments for them to fix issues, reinstall windows, reorder windows that couldn't be fixed. All the while, what I really wanted was an acknowledgment that I was not getting a premium product, so I should not be paying a premium price. Throughout this time, I have had multiple no-shows, both from the installers and the manufacturer, many times after I took time to move furniture away from windows and remove window coverings, adding to my frustration. I have pages and pages of notes detailing my experience. I talked with CRI regularly in the beginning, but stopped calling them because it was all so frustrating, and it seemed like they should be taking the initiative to fix things and make price adjustments. For example, CRI should be checking that their windows are plumb, not me (and we could clearly see that they were not plumb without even using a level). What bothers me is that if I can see so many issues obviously just by looking at them, how many other issues are there that I cannot see? As of 2/27/2023, they finally had the last window repaired and installed (this after multiple times of them rescheduling and delaying again). The manufacturer added silicone to one window that was not airtight, and he told me that the windows made at the time mine were made were all were made with less silicone, and he even had one job that failed more than 400 windows due to low silicone. So now I'm left wondering if I have numerous other windows that are poorly applied with silicone (the answer is yes, very likely, given the lack of quality control I've been seeing). Also, one screen still has gaps that will let bugs in, but I just wanted the experience over (it has been almost 2 years since I ordered), so I discussed pricing again with CRI. After our experience, I expected something a significant percentage discount. However, their original offered discount was less than 5% of the total price, and after sharing this review with them and discussing of discounts that had previously been communicated to me, they ended up lowering the total cost by 7%. This is a significantly smaller discount than I believe is appropriate. I still am left feeling like I paid a premium for cheap windows. I am extremely dissatisfied, and I would not trust CRI for any work on my home in the future. read more

Bob the sales person was nice at the beginning of our conversation and once we told him right now we are not interested at this time he got super pushy and racist. He said well this is the only deal you will ever get and don't try calling again for an appointment cause they won't call out here. He referred to some areas as "hoodbury" "Brooklyn dark". Very racist and uncalled for. He then started calling all window places around the area as horrible and did not offer good quality products. Also said our windows would fall out if we didn't replace them in the next few months. For one our windows are in good shape and we again just wanted to price out our options. Will definitely not be going with this company. We liked how it sounded and then Bob got pushy and rude towards the end cause we wouldn't by that night. read more

In spring 2018, we got 3 estimates for soffit/fascia work...but didn't get a good feeling from any of the contractors who came out, so we put the project on hold. Late in the fall, we had Custom Remodelers, Inc. come out and do an estimate. We liked everything about that experience. * The sales rep was able to do the estimate right there (unlike 2 of the first 3 we had come out). * During his meeting with us, he showed us his company's licenses, insurance certificates, etc. Again--first time this happened with an estimate for this project. * The price was very competitive, no down payment was required, and they arranged 18-month, no-interest financing. So we signed on the dotted line, with the understanding that the work would actually be done in spring 2019. Over the last 2 weeks, weather permitting, the soffit/fascia specialist from CRI has been at our home. On April 19, he completed all of the soffit/fascia work, and he'll come back on April 22 to wrap the trim around the garage door, to match the fascia. * He did a great job--we are more than pleased by the way our house and garage turned out. His work exceeded our expectations (which were high). * He cleaned up after himself at every turn. There is no scrap lying around, no bits and pieces we or our dog might step on. * He demonstrated true craftsmanship and pride in his work, and it shows. Our 55-year-old rambler really got a lovely face-lift! When you're putting a good amount of money into a project, it's important to trust the contractor. I highly recommend Custom Remodelers, Inc. read more

I can not express enough, DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR NUMBER OR ALLOW THEM IN YOUR HOME!!! I foolishly agreed to a "simple no pressure" free quote on windows, gutters, and siding. This "simple free quote" ended up being, an almost 2 hour, high pressure, over priced sales pitch solely on the repair I wanted least. As soon as you said no, the rudeness came out. I received multiple calls following this meeting and each time confirmed that I was not interested. The final call from the supposed manager was completely unbelievable! He was condescending, unprofessional and darn right insulting (not the best way to close a deal). At this point I adamantly explained that under no circumstances would I EVER be doing business with this company and he continued to argue with me until I simply had to hang up!! Unfortunately that has not been the end of my contact with these horrible people, they continue to call me!!! ONCE THIS COMPANY HAS YOUR NUMBER THEY NEVER STOP! Just this week, over a year later, I received yet another call and once again explained that under no circumstances would I ever do business with their company and again asked to be removed from their list of contacts, only to receive another call 2 days later!! The child that called last, insisted that he had the right to call because I agreed to a quote with their company and he was simply following up! After I more passionately demanded to be removed from all contact lists he told me "come on lady, it's my first day calm down"! Its seriously gotten to the point of restraining order!! If you've read any of my previous posts you'd know that I typically don't like to write bad reviews. It's my personal opinion that bad business practices speak for themselves and will ultimately lead to a company's demise. Well... a year and half later and this business is somehow still around and has managed to piss me off enough to write about my experiences dealing with them. CRI had a few people come to my house and explain about various home improvement projects they could help me with. After speaking with their sales representative about the costs and timeline I needed to work with I told them that I wasn't interested. My interactions with this company, I thought, would come to end. Unfortunately over the past year I have received, almost on a daily basis, phone calls from CRI's sale people asking me if I would be interested in having them do another presentation for me or if I had any new home improvement projects. I have REPEATEDLY told them take me off their calling list but apparently they either don't care or are too lazy (or some combination of both) and think that maybe....just maybe after calling for the hundredth time that I would change my mind. I'm not sure what weird world this company thinks it operates in but badgering a potential customer into doing business with you is a sure fire way to piss them off. Bottom-line; do not give your name, number, or any information to these ass hats unless you'd like a non-stop phone party for years (hopefully not) to come... read more

The customer service was nonexistent! The window measurement was wrong so they couldn't even install that when they installed the sliding glass door. When the installer had half of the door installed, he told me that he had to go back to the warehouse to get the other half of the door. So he was gone for an hour while I had an 'open door' on a 30° day. The workmanship is subpar and when I asked what he could do about the missing paint....he shrugged and said "Nothing". THEN the manager finally called when we rejected payment, because we didn't even receive the window, and was clueless to what was going on. Mind you, my husband had emailed pictures to the salesman. So disappointed!! I would NEVER recommend them! read more

I agreed to have Custom Remodelers, Inc. provide an estimate for my garage residing project. The salesperson came out, spent TWO HOURS talking siding at me, and proceeded to quote my project at approximately 5 times the cost of the online estimator based on square footage. During the conversation, the price changed multiple times. The final price offer was for that day only. But, then suddenly the price was good for a week. We ordered our windows in March of 2022,and we knew that there would be delays due to covid, but I never thought I'd get a terribly made product. First, they didn't realize something was wrong with the patio door until the old one was out. The door and sash didn't go together so we could not install a handle on it and the only way we had to keep locked was with a 2x4 in the door. A whole new door had to be ordered that took about six months. The kitchen sink window frame had a crack in it and was extremely tough to open. This window had to be replaced and the replacement window had a defect in the glass and that portion of the window had to be reordered. Every single window rolled right over the safety stops. Every single window was so drafty you could feel a breeze on a windy day and dirk from outside blew in through the gaps in the track. Trim was fails to be correctly ordered multiple times. Service has been out here multiple times in less than 1 year of owning these windows. I literally just shut my bedroom window and a piece of the window trim fell off! I have never regretted a purchase more in my life! CRI has not been willing to do much and pushes blame on their manufacturer. read more

I have been very impressed with my experience with Custom Remodelers. They have followed through on every level. The salesman we worked with was very knowledgeable. He presented us with many window options and was able to recommend the best options for our house. A few weeks later another representative from the company came out and made the final measurements. The installation took place right on schedule. The team had the job done in a matter of hours. They were very professional, and did a proper job on the installation. From the initial sale to the installation, the communication was excellent through the entire process. I thoroughly recommend Custom Remodelers Inc. read more

This company is terrible to work with. The price is high for the work there installers do. Over $6k spent on this company and the window job is not up to standard. Cracks still in the windows they dont even put trimmings on the windows to seal off the air from the inside! Customer service is just bad. When you argue with them and they know they are wrong they just stop responding to your messages and texts. I highly recommend not going with this company as they are always beating around the bush to get your projects done. No direct answers are givin when you ask them a question about there work on your home. Stay away from them! read more
If you're a woman, GO ELSEWHERE! I'll start off by saying that I own my house, not my fiancé; I own it and I am the decision maker on projects done to my home. A woman owning a home?! That's crazy! I know! But I managed to retreat from my kitchen around 3:15 when the guy came over to give me a quote. I greeted (I believe his name was John) outside and immediately he asked me where my fiancé was. I told him he was at work, that I owned the house and that he would only be working with me today. He said, "well when will he be home...?" I told him sometime within the hour, but again, he's here to work with me only. "Ok well then let's just wait out here until he gets home." Um. Seriously? So we waited. Stood in my driveway for almost 45 minutes. And waited for the man to get here.... Because God forbid John have to pitch a sale to a woman... I'd ask him about their products or if he wanted to go ahead and measure the run while we're waiting but he wouldn't answer my questions. He'd just ignore me or change the subject. At one point he asked me if I had a mortgage, which I felt was inappropriate. It had nothing to do with what he was here to do, he was just making terribly uncomfortable small talk. I don't want to talk about my finances with you, sexist stranger! So fiancé comes home and John gives us his pitch, and we showed interest. Their gutters seemed good but obviously it comes down to price for us. John asked if we could commit to making a deal today. We said no, we need to get a quote first. We can't commit without a quote (he hadn't measured or quoted yet and he's already hard-selling). He asked if after the quote we could commit, again we said not today because this would be the first quote we have and we like to get 3. After some arguing, he said, "alright, I'm going to go out and measure and I'll be right back with your quote." The guy gets in his car and leaves. He just left. No measuring. No quote. No "thanks for considering our company" or "I understand that it's the best choice to get multiple quotes, we will make our best effort to fit your budget and would love to do business with you"... Just a false promise and an escape. I'm literally baffled. I'm offended, hurt, embarrassed... This company is despicable and John is a total scum bag. In 2003, they came to our house in Minneapolis to give us a "presentation" on new siding. There were two sales people who spent an hour or more of my and my (now) wife's time. They used a lot of shady high pressure sales tactics, like telling us that they could only give us a great deal that night, and that the guy had to make a sale so he could justify to his own wife and child why he was out late. Years later we found out that the siding they had suggested was completely unnecessary and would have been a bad idea since we had fairly decent wood siding. As an alternative we decided to just paint the siding, and its just now showing some signs of wear. read more

For the 29 years we've lived in our two-story home painting the soffit and fascia has been my nemesis. Today my quality of life greatly improved when Mike C completed our project. I was impressed by his skills. Lines are straight; our problems were addressed, and the overall look is excellent. I appreciated that we were on a first-name basis, and he communicated well. Just four stars as this company does employ sales tactics that ask you to make a decision during the first sales meeting. But their number was within the range I expected to pay and the assurances I sought were given to me in writing. read more

Got caught up in the 'spin for a prize' gimmick for our kid at the State Fair one year. Because they wouldn't stop calling, we agreed to have them out for an exterior estimate. Couple of sales guys came to play good cop/bad cop routine and presented an initial laughable quote. We played the game and got them down to what we thought was a fair price and signed the contract for siding, fascia, soffits, and gutters at end of September for work to start the end of November. Work didn't start until last part of January and the nightmare began. The initial crew was sloppy, negligent, and did poor workmanship (see some of the pics below). Plus they didn't get us everything we contracted (like window trim) and the office charged my account before work was done. After disputing the charge with Wells Fargo and consulting with an attorney on our rights with the contract, we were able to get the company to send out another crew to redo everything a few months later. Although the office crew clearly had no interest in making it right, the people they sent to fix were nice and even admitted the company's gone downhill the past few years. Evidently if you don't pay the high dollar they initially propose, you get crappy workers. Steer clear of this company!! read more

How is this place in business? Dishonest, high pressure sales, terrible customer service! Reading through the reviews there are many with a similar experience. Do not agree to let them schedule an appointment in your home for an estimate. We reluctantly signed a contract for new windows in April, and are still left with an unfinished project 6 months later with winter fast approaching. Our project apparently fell through the cracks, but they have yet to provide any meaningful reconciliation. Our windows arrived initially without the trim work we had ordered and the wrong hardware (early July). The installer left with the windows and said they would be in touch. Many weeks passed with no word. After multiple calls and messages (not returned) we finally got a hold of a manager who was somewhat apologetic and got us on the schedule for mid October. They showed up again with the wrong hardware and no trim! And once again, we are back leaving messages with no response.... We've been remodeling homes and hiring contractors for 13 years, there are plenty of honest, high quality remodeling companies in the twin cities, so avoid this one! read more

When they came to our door to offer their services, they pitched themselves as a high-quality, no-advertising way to improve our home. When they eventually negotiated a reasonable price to reshingle our house, we thought we had a good solution. When they promptly arrived (albeit in the middle of a cold winter) to do the roofing, we were surprised but optimistic about their response time. And then they left the roof unfinished, left a yard full of rusty nails for my small child and dogs to be injured with, used what appear to be low-quality materials, and have never once in six months responded to any of our requests to fix any of these problems. I repeat: they have left our house partially-shingled for nearly half a year, and will not so much as return a phone call to explain themselves. I cannot impress upon you enough to not use CRI. When they come to your door, thank them kindly for their time and send them away. Whatever deal they might cut you is not worth their inattention and irresponsible ethic. read more

We usually dont write any reviews, but now days when people go as far out of their way as custom remodelers family has done for our family, it cant go unrecognized. My husband and I recently bought our "dream home" . unfortianantly it was a foreclosure and required alot of work and money to get it back to livable, where my husband could take over. Anyways getting back to the point. We have had a ton of experiences in the last 12 months with contractors of all kinds. flooring companies, plumbing companies, electrical companies, masons etc... With out any question, Custom remodelers is by far the easiest company to deal with. going in to this we had a very good idea of what we wanted. Cri was able to combine the aesthetics of what we wanted with the performance my husband wanted. We got all the bells and whistles. We had estimates from 3 other companies before custom remodelers came to our home. A young man knocked on our door just before diner one evening, usually we shoe them away but ironically the day before we had an estimate from a competitor, so we figured we would go out on a limb and set up an appointment for an estimate. The sales person was very organized, extreamly professional, and very knowledgeable. We talked pros and cons of several manufactures. We ended up going with the lindsey brand. BEAUTIFUL!!!!! and let me tell you they look even better in our house than they did in the brochure or in pictures. The front door is the marvel of the neighborhood. The windows have a woodgrain interior that looks just like wood but no maintenance. The estimate we received was Not the lowest estimate nor the highest actually it was about in the middle. Not only are we super happy with the install, the noise reduction, the energy savings i can on all night.... but i wont i will leave you with this. Our neighbor directly across the street went with a brand and a company most would recognize, not the family owned and operated small company like cri. There windows are NOT maintenance free on the inside, he has to stain his own trim, it looks like they "boxed" around his windows on the outside, making them smaller, it took them 2 months longer to finish theres, and the best part.... he paid 2,000 more on the exact same house. Thank you soooooooooooooo much to all the sales staff, and install technicians you have made our transition into our new home much more enjoyable, not to mention our status in the neighborhood has elevated from the ugly house with jungle yard on the corner to the corner house with the beautiful "wood" door and new windows. They say its the simple things in life, CRI you make remodeling life simple! Thank you all again we look forward to recomending your company to the rest of the neighborhood and all of our friends and family read more

We had a young man show up at the door step and I talked to him. He was wondering if we were looking to get any siding, windows or a new roof. We had been looking to get minor stuff fixed on the roof and then I agreed to having someone come out. So they called later and set up an appointment for a week later. Two guys showed up and they started talking to us about a new roof and showed us all of their ideas and it was really clear to me that they knew what they were talking about. They knew how to build a saddle around the fireplace to stop the leaking, which was huge, because I had been searching for months to figure out why there was leakage. They then looked in the low attic and they noticed that we only had two chutes in the front and they explained their importance and discovered that the leakage was due to condensation, not to actual leakage. They explained to my wife and I that the chutes help with the ventilation and basically implied that the job was not done right the first time. We were pretty impressed by these guys, they solved our leakage problem. Then they talked us into a whole new roof and that Custom Remodelers Inc (CRI) would have a fifty year guarantee on it. Before we signed off on having a new roof, new ventilation, chimney taken down they told us all about the company and their credibility. At first we were not happy with the cost but then we were able to bring it down so we went ahead on it. Everyone we dealt with on making the job work went above and beyond. We weren't even expecting some things but they were delivering them. Everything the sales reps said about the company was dead on, they were wonderful, the shingles make the house look great. They did everything they said they would and plus! They finished the entire project in one day, they cleaned everything up afterwards, and not only did they build a saddle in front of my one chimney but they built another one around my second chimney, which was more than they were supposed to do. Along with that they cleaned out my gutters for no extra cost and they also redid my shingles on my small barn in the back so they would match. In the end I have no complaints, they had a great attitude from start to end and did an excellent job on the roof. When it comes to a new roof I have not heard of many companies that would have a guarantee like this because if they do anything wrong they would have to come out and fix it. I am confident that if I have any problems in the future I will be able to contact CRI and they will fix it for me. They did a great job and I can tell that they are a company that stands behind their product. read more

I have been bothered by CRI for at least the past 5-8 years. They refuse to stop visiting my property, or at the least they are so disorganized that they keep sending salespeople. CRI Lies About Customer Satisfaction They stopped by because they were "in the neighborhood." They told my wife they did work for my neighbor "imaginary name". We do not have a neighbor by that name. Said "imaginary person" was very pleased with their work. CRI is Sexist Toward Women My wife said we had a bad experience with CRI in years prior with a salesperson being disrespectful and that we did not want to set up an appointment. They said they'd be in the area Monday and would stop by to talk to her husband (me). If you read other reviews, you will see that women are ignored by CRI salespeople. This does not happen unless ownership has the same attitude. Prepare to be disrespected based on your sex, appearance, and probably race. CRI Ignored Requests to Leave Me Alone We left a note for CRI saying "CRI - NO SOLICITORS - DO NOT DISTURB." While I was making dinner for my family the following Monday night, my wife saw the doorbell ring, saw the CRI representative remove the blue note, read it, crumple it into a ball, and stuff it into his pocket. CRI is Personally Insulting I answered the door, discovered it was CRI, and asked him politely to leave even though, I said, he probably was not aware of the background and that it wasn't his fault. He replied, "No, I have an appointment. And honestly you should do something about your windows, they are disgusting. Seriously, your house is gross." I said that we made it clear we did not want an appointment, and even left a note. He said there was no note on the door. I told him we saw him put it in his pocket. He said he had nothing in his pockets. CRI Refused to Leave Until I Called the Police I again asked CRI to leave. He said he had an appointment. I said as the homeowner he did not have an appointment, and that by refusing to leave my property until we discussed window quotes, he was trespassing. I said that if he would not leave, I would call the police. He replied, "Great, go ahead, I'll wait -- because I have an appointment." As I called the police on speakerphone, he finally grabbed his bag, called me "Mr. Tough Guy," reiterated that my windows are really very gross and that I should do something, threw his stuff in his vehicle, and left my property. read more

Let me start by saying I don't normally write reviews. Like many people I am too busy with work, family, etc. but I had to write this today as a sign of my appreciation. I had Custom Remodelers install vinyl siding, aluminum soffit and fascia, vinyl replacement windows and doors over 10 years ago. I have been very happy with their products but that is not why I am writing today. The thing that impressed me enough to sit down to my computer is their SERVICE. A few years after the installation I had some issues with one of the screens on the window. The service department was out right away and not only took care of the screen issue but proceeded to do some extra caulking around the windows too. (I never even asked them to do it) Most recently I was having some problems with some of the siding, I think it was probably the wind that caused it and like I said, it has been over 10 years since this company did the work on my house so I called them pretty much expecting to hear that it wasn't something they could help me with or that warranty wouldn't cover. There was a trip charge but it was reasonable and they were right out and fixed it. The guy that was out was the same service guy that came out several years ago for the screens. I told him it was nice to see a familiar face and after talking awhile he told me that the installers that installed my siding, windows, etc. were still there too. Basically, in a nut shell I just wanted to say how happy I am that I had this company do the work. It is refreshing to deal with a company that takes pride in old fashioned customer service. That is hard to come by these days! I have some friends that went to other companies and had all sorts of different problems. Some didn't get what they ordered and some had problems with the company saying the problems weren't "their" problems and even some that called and found out the companies phones were disconnected and out of business. The home improvement and remodeling industry is full of the here today, gone tomorrow types so it scary to say the least to trust someone to make major improvements to your home but I am not surprised that this company is still around. I have, do, and will continue to refer CRI to my friends and family, they have exceeded my expectations enough to get me to sit down to this computer (which never happens) read more

When a representative of Custom Remodelers knocked on our door to tell us about the company I was initially hesitant to deal with a "door-to-door" salesman and company. My husband knew we needed some new doors and set up an appointment though, so I decided to give them a chance. Am I ever glad we did! Jon, the salesman came out to the house not once, but two times because we needed a little more time to research our needs. He was not pushy at all. He was very knowledgeable about the products we were interested in - outside doors. They sounded like what we wanted. Most importantly he eased my concerns about using Custom Remodelers. They have been in business 22 years, are a local company, and have a reputation for standing behind their work and products. We are very, very happy with the doors we ordered and the installation of them. Our old front door frame was an unusual size and we knew it would not be an "easy" installation. We were right. But our installer sized up the problem and worked for hours to get that door in perfectly. We are so pleased and proud of our door. It makes our home look much nicer and it fits perfectly...no windy drafts coming in like our old door. The back door also looks and works great. Because we had aluminum molding around our old door, our installer attached the new trim carefully and was not satisfied to just give us new trim. He fashioned it so it would look beautiful. In fact, when the city inspector came later to check the work he said, "Wow, you must have had the best installer...this is beautiful work." That's when I really knew we had made a really good choice hiring Custom Remodelers. We weren't the only ones impressed...even the inspector was. Our doors are installed and paid for. Most companies would be happy to have their money and let it go at that. So I was very surprised when several months later a Quality Assurance representtive from Custom Remodelers stopped by the house to make sure we were happy with our doors and that they were working well. He even checked all the work to see if it met Custom Remodelers standards. Jon, our salesman was right. Custom Remodelers does stand by their work and actually cares what we thought. I can testify that we were very satisfied with this company and will use them again. read more

I had been asking around for a window replacement company and a co-worker referred me to Custom Remodelers and I trust his judgement so I decided to give them a call and within two days Brad was out to my house. He came out and told me what he thought what might look good here which was great, especially since I had no idea what would look good. Brad had a great vision for the house and I decided to go with it and was very happy that I did. A few days after making the decision I decided I wanted to make a few changes and Brad came out again and we went through everything and if I had any questions or concerns Brad was right there to give me the answers. One of my big concerns was about getting matching trim, the crown molding had to match the other trim and Brad was able to get me the perfect trim pack and it turned out even better than I could have imagined. Kevin's crew knew what they were doing, they told me what they were going to do and that is exactly what they did. They said they would have them replaced in two days and that is exactly how long it took. They also cleaned up everything after both days of working. At first I was hesitante about replacement windows but it looks like they belong here and the glass block windows I had put in the basement look great. Mike called to do the Soffits and Fascia and said he'd get it done while I was at work and he stuck to that. I came home and it was all done and looked great, I never even met the guy! Dave the gutter guy came out in one day, showed me what he was going to do and, boom, he was done, and again it looks great! Done right the first time. Jim Anderson, came in and did all the painting while I was at work, he came in did the deal and locked up afterwards. During the process he gave me a play by play and after he was done he even hung back up my blinds because I couldn't do it myslef. He went out of his way for me and did a fantastic job. In the end it was a great experience, I didn't loose any time away from work during the remodeling, which was huge. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and I would definitely use them again down the road. read more

We were initially approached by CRI in our neighborhood two years ago when a gentleman knocked on our door. Our home needed much remodeling improvements at the time, since the home is 29 years old and had original wood windows. The saleman that stopped in at our home was very professional and at the same time courteous while explaining to us in detail as well as showing us many pictures of the maintaince vinal windows. We were very impressed with the product and the fact that it qualified for a home improvement tax incentive and also a life-time, Non-Prorated, Transferable warrenty that stays with the home even with the next home owners. The installation of all of our windows were done in a very professionally and the crew was very skilled and showed great teamwork. The installation was completed in a fairly short time and clean-up of all the work was to our excellent satisfaction. Since the remodeling of the windows, I had to call the office to ask how to release the windows down to clean them. CRI was so customer orientated, that they made a personal trip out to our home to show me how to operate the windows. Over the winter we could see great cost savings in our energy bill which meant alot to us since we are both retired. The windows we purchased are manufactured right here in Minnesota and the 366 Low-E glass and gas fill in a triple-glazed unit really made a difference in the harsh weather conditions. In two years there has been no frost, fog or heat loss. We can see through them clearly all year round and love them! The following spring we needed a new patio door and since we re-arranged our upstairs living room, we decidied to have a big bay window installed. I called CRI and they were so customer enthused that we were so happy with their product that they were more than happy remodel our entire home. We are so impressed with the installers workman ship and the overall process that we have been talking about the CRI product and customer service to everyone in our neighrhood. We want CRI to come out and put a sign in our yard so that when people see our beautiful work they know who did it. read more

I am a firm believer that most people only speak up when they have something to complain about and I wanted to give CRI a 5 star review for the great work and quality that I received! First off, I heard about CRI through a friend who had gotten windows put on her home approximately 1 1/2 years ago. She had nothing but exceptional things to say about the company, product and the representative Brad who assisted their family with this decision. She expressed her appreciation for his ability to go above and beyond making sure that all of her needs were met. Most importantly she felt he respected her and her husband's decisions and had their best interest truly at heart. Needless to say when the time came when my family was in the market for windows I immediately called Brad and scheduled a visit for my 1 1/2 story 1950 home. After my phone call I immediately felt the sense of comfort and honesty that you don't seem to in most companies selling products. When Brad came to our home he showed my husband and I the company, product line and finally the cost. CRI by far exceeding all our expectations (cost and quality) there was no "show or gimmick". We were given exactly the product, quality and installation and price we expected. Nothing was hidden My windows have been installed for a little over 3 months and honestly I can tell that I have saved on my electricity bill despite the hash warm weather we have been having in MN. I am excited to have the moment when I am able to look through my large picture window this winter during a cold snowfall and have a clear warm view versus having to look though the plastic window wrap that we are all to familiar with I am incredibly happy with the custom service, quality and respect that CRI has shown my family and I and I cannot wait to start on our next home project with CRI. The quality, craftsmanship and warranty speak for themselves. I would recommend CRI to ANYONE looking for a top of the line quality, great warranty, family owned business and great price! read more

I recently had an experience with a representative from your company that I feel compelled to bring to your attention. Based on this interaction, I've decided not to engage your company for any current or future projects. Furthermore, if asked for recommendations, I will be clear that I do not endorse your company. While I understand that the construction industry can be competitive, I was deeply disturbed by the behavior of your representative. During a visit to my neighborhood--where your company was working across the street from my home--the individual made inappropriate and offensive remarks about a competing contractor at my residence. These comments included unfounded accusations, discriminatory remarks about the ethnicity of the workers, and claims of financial misconduct. Despite my repeated requests to stop (three times, escalating in tone), the representative continued, which was both disrespectful and unsettling. When I raised this concern with your sales representative, although they acknowledged and understood my decision to not work with your company, there was no apology or indication that this behavior was surprising or unacceptable. Initially, I believed your company operated with integrity and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience has shown otherwise. I hope this feedback prompts reflection and action--not necessarily punitive, but constructive. Training and leadership are essential to ensure that your employees and subcontractors understand what is and is not acceptable behavior. Additionally, I was troubled to see a younger representative present during this incident, seemingly entertained by the inappropriate remarks. This not only reflects poorly on your company but also perpetuates harmful behavior. Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback. I hope it leads to meaningful change. read more

Professional Knowledgeable & Satisfied I had Custom Remodelers come out to my house last fall after having a canvasser (very nice polite kid) knock on my door to set up an appointment. After the horrible winter we had a couple of years ago I already knew it was time to replace my windows. The salesperson that came out was very knowledgeable about the window industry and their windows. He explained and showed me how the windows would practically pay for themselves over time with no more maintenance cost and fuel savings. Since my home has a large number of windows that I could not afford to replace all at one time I was offered the option of replacing them in stages to fit my budget. I started with the basement since it was close to winter and every winter my basement was a freezer. The installers were very professional, polite, experienced and did a great job. They were very respectful of my treasured Man Cave throughout the entire install. They also installed a steel door for the back of my garage as well. Even with the mild winter we had last year I could notice a complete comfort change. I had no more frosty windows, drafts and did not have to run my gas fireplace. Another thing I noticed recently is how quiet my basement has been during these past thunder storms. Price ... the windows were a little more expensive than the estimates I had received from local contractors but a lot less than the national company brands. Plus the warranty is second to none and I felt safe with them since they have been in business over 20 years. Based on the performance of the windows and my overall experience I am having my second phase of windows installed next month and look forward to having the last phase done next year. I highly recommend Custom Remodelers. read more

We had excellent service from CRI starting with the salespeople who came out to my house and explained their windows, the quality and the reasons WHY they carry the windows that they do, the installation, and the lifetime warranty that transfers to the new owner should you sell the home. Everything was very thorough and I appreciated the great detail in making sure I understood and answering any and all questions that I had. The final price was amazing - I was sort of blown away, expecting the final price to be quite a bit more. I wasn't planning to replace my windows until next summer, but jumped at the chance because of the pricing and I am very glad I did. Once the installers came out, everything just clicked. The installers were very knowledgeable and neat, clean - took their shoes off as they came in and out. Jim and his crew - I can't even say enough how much I appreciate how helpful they were, how efficiently they work, and - best of all - I LOVE my new windows! I had the old, heavy wood casement windows that were murder to try and get out to clean - original when we built the house 26 years ago. These are going to be so easy, and they look SOOO nice! They perfectly matched my oak woodwork throughout the house. Jim and his crew went above and beyond what I ever expected from window installation - including fixing my front door for me because they noticed a screw missing and the hydraulic not calibrated right so the door was slamming. Took them maybe 2 minutes is all, but I sure appreciated those little extra things they did that they didn't have to. I have 3 windows and a slider that I still need replaced and I'll be calling next spring to have them take care of those remaining on my list. read more

There are a number of reasons why we were pleased to have chosen Custom Remodelers to do our home improvement... First of all, we appreciate the fact that they searched out our business by having someone actually stop by our house, asking for the opportunity to give us an estimate for the job, as opposed to those annoying dinner-time phone solicitations. The man who stopped by that afternoon was courteous, well mannered, and knowledgeable about the product he was offering. Secondly, he set up an appointment for Kevin to stop by and give an estimate. Since it was well past the time for a new roof, we had entertained other estimates and were a little afraid of the outcome. Our fears were alleviated when Kevin sat down with us and made his presentation with a simple explanation as to what the company could do, gave us a dollar figure, and a time it could be accomplished. We appreciated the fact that we, at no time, felt any pressure. After a few minutes of discussion on our part, as well as a bit of checking of the credentials of the company, we made a decision. Lastly, we almost doubted the timeline Kevin gave us for completing the job, but true to his word, we had a new roof installed in one day. The crew was the most hardworking group of gentlemen we have ever had doing work at our home. They were diligent in taking care of the landscaping, staying until the job was completed, and cleaning up after the job was completed, They are to be commended. Overall it was a job well done, we couldn't thank them enough and we would highly recommend this company to anyone, especially those looking to get their roof remodeled. read more

Living in Albertville MN, it seems that every time there is severe weather I am sure to get hit with it. I bought a new home in 1997. One of the reasons I bought the home is because it had maintenance free siding on it and I didn't want to have to worry about that anymore. Unfortunately it didn't last long because in 2005 we had a hail storm come through and pretty much every house in the neighborhood had their siding destroyed. That is when I had CRI come out and bid the job to fix it. They took all of the old siding off and replaced it with their product. I liked the fact that they did the entire house, some people in the neighborhood only did bits and pieces when it came to the replacement and it looked like it! It was only 2 or 3 years later when we were hit with another big summer storm that included hail. When the worst of it was over and everyone came outside to inspect the damage I was amazed. My house looked as though nothing had happened and my neighbors houses looked like they were run through a paper shredder. I wish I would have thought to take some pictures, you know what they say, a picture is worth 1,000 words. All I can go by is my personal experience. I can tell you that I had nothing but a good experience with this company from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that was looking to make exterior improvements. I still wish I would have taken a picture that evening after the storm! read more

Kevin and his crew were very pleasant, fun and worked so quickly. Their camaraderie with each other was just amazing, they worked so well together. The most amazing things for me was when I got home. The first thing that I did was grab the vacuum, thinking that I would have to clean up a lot, but there was nothing! The windows were spotless and looked great. The crew arrived the day of the installation at 9:30am and had 17 windows to install and got it all done in one day. The positiveness that I witnessed while I was there was awesome, they were all very upbeat, there was not frustration. I've worked at plenty of places and have seen such negative work environments, but not with this company. I was always nervous about getting the windows replaced because of the cost but as soon as those guys started working I knew that I had made a good decision. I still can't believe how great they were. Before they started Kevin shared a lot about the company and his great experience with working with them and their Lindsay Windows and at first I was like, "Yeah... that's what they all say to get the sale" but he wasn't kidding! I love the product and my overall experience with the company was incredible. After I make the last payment on my windows I will be getting them back out here to finish my last two in my living room. read more

Noah arrived for his appointment with me on time. He introduced himself and how long he has been with the company and how long the company was in business for. Then asked what I was looking for to have done to my home. I just bought my home and knew for sure it needed new siding and possibly a couple of my windows needed to be replaced. Noah explained the importance of gutters to me and knew at some point I was replacing my driveway. I've never been through a process like this before and did not even know what to expect. He was able to break it down for me. Answered every question. Was detailed in the warranty and at the end of the appointment I signed up buying new siding all around, a couple of windows, and gutters all around. Noah also explained all my options from color to style and made some suggestions for me, and at the end of it we created a custom design. He also explained the entire process from beginning to end making sure I truly understood what was being done to my home. The crew that arrived at my home were extremely knowledgeable, polite, quick, and always communicated with me if I was around also confirming some of the extra custom designs. My home looks brand new again and have received so many compliments from neighbors. Thank you so much to Noah, the crew and Custom Remodelers. -Susan read more

This is our third window job we have done with Custom Remodelers. We have slowly replaced windows after moving into our older house in 2008. When we first started looking we had a lot of people come that were going to buy windows from Home Depot and install them. We wanted a company that would stand by their product. Our salesperson Ryan came with examples of what we could do and how each window would work. From the first day the new windows were installed my wife and noticed how much quieter our house was. We also saw significant savings on our energy bills. We knew that Custom Remodelers was the right company to complete the rest of our houses windows after an experience we had after the first set of windows was installed. When it rained heavily the new windows had drips of water. We called our salesperson who dispatched Dan one of their service technician to make sure the windows were not the issue. It turned out that it was actually our older windows upstairs that were leaking and water was finding its way into the house. Dan climbed on a latter and caulked and sealed the windows that they did not install and had no obligation to fix. This extra effort shows the dedication this company has towards its customers. We would definitely recommend Custom Remodelers to anyone needing new windows. read more

Custom Remodelers replaced the windows in my home this summer and I'm very pleased with the results. The windows look fantastic and they definitely delivered what was promised. They did an excellent job of measuring and anticipating which windows needed tempered glass. Even the inspector was impressed, stating that not installing tempered glass where code was required was a common mistake he sees with window replacement. The sales people were respectful and professional. They did an excellent job of presenting their product and explaining the process. Additionally they did a great job of going through several different financing options that would help us maximize value and recoup our costs though energy savings as quickly as possible. We actually could use more of the Custom Remodelers products, like siding, but I didn't feel pressured to move forward with more than the windows. Custom Remodelers contracts out the installation to independent crews, but my experience with the crew who installed was excellent. They did an awesome job, especially the vinyl coated wraps. Great work all around. I get the feeling they take screening the install crews very well. Like I said, I have some more work that I need to have done on my house and I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again. read more

We moved back into the Metro area and purchased a very nice older home. Shortly after we were settled in we were contacted by a CRI canvasser. We set up an appointment to look into replacing the original 50 year old cedar shake siding. The sales rep., John, brought a number of samples and spent time with us going over the benefits of each type. We selected one of the high grade vinyl sidings that were offered. We were pleased with the presentation, the product, and the cost. Since it was, at that time, the dead of winter, we went on the list for an early spring installation. The installation crew contacted us and set up a start date, which they met, and the product, arrived on site. The installation began with the removal and disposal of the old siding. We were pleased with the removal process and the way that they made sure the site was clean and neat at the end of each day. The installation of the insulation board, house wrap and siding was very precise and we are very pleased with the result. We later had CRI come back and install soffit and fascia to match the sideing. We have had a number of comments regarding the color and quality of the installation. We are very pleased with all phases of the process; sales, installation and follow up are great. read more

A young lady walked up our driveway and approached us that way. She was very nice and knowledgable of the company and their products, which is one of the main reasons why we allowed her to talk to us about CRI. Aftering talking with her she took our information and when they called we made an appointment. My husband initially wanted to get siding done, so that worked out well. The sales representative was very nice, he brought a whole display for us and did different test to show us the quality of the windows, which really impressed my husband. Joe, the guy who did the measurements was excellent. He gave us great advice and we are so happy he shared it with us because we took it and the house looks great. Wayne's crew worked really fast and were very neat. I took off 4 hours from work because I figured I would have to clean up after them but they did everything! And in only two hours... so I had to go back to work early. One nice thing was that our shades fit perfectly in our new windows too. We thought we were going to have a hard time putting them back but with Joe's help we didn't. We are very satisfied customers!! Custom Remodelers did a great job! We just placed another order to do two more of our windows and would recommend them to anyone! read more

It all started when two young, very polite, gentlemen rang our doorbell informing us about CRI, the company they were representing and giving us the opportunity to have "someone" meet with us the next day. Ernest Duberry arrived the next day. Not long after he sat down at our kitchen table, we knew our house was going to have a new look. He not only gave us detailed background about Custom Remodelers, Inc. and their products, but he also told us about his background and his responsibilities as Marketing Director of CRI. It was easy for us to sign on the dotted line. The day Hank Sengar and his crew arrived on the scene, we were excited and anxious to meet the guys who were going to re-side our house. They were personable, down to earth, and businesslike all wrapped into one. Once the work began, one could tell that Hank was always one step ahead and always going in the right direction. It was obvious that they all had the experience and dedication to do the best job possible, and that they did. The final result was unbelievable. Our house is beautiful... We have the new house on the block! We would like to give an extra thanks to Ernest, Hank and his crew, and CRI for a job well done that was beyond out expectations. read more
