Arman and his team totally rescued me! I spent 3 months building my closet with my dad. Big labor of love. I however has zero desire to do painting, so I hired a guy off thumbtack. Huge huge mistake! It looks awful. This beautiful custom closet of mine looked botched. I was in tears and very stressed!!! Fortunately, Arman was able to rescue all of it! He came that day, gave me a very good price! Even did a sample job to show me how it would look before committing. He got everything done within 1 week! It was amazing! Such attention to detail and any minor imperfections were fixed by him without me having to point anything out. Usually I feel like rushed jobs are "bad jobs".... Nope! This was perfect! I can't recommend them enough. I did even call 4 other companies and they were going to charge an obscene and unfair price, and not very responsive in terms of time frame to do the job. I can't say enough good about this company. Arman arrived on time.and understood exactly what I wanted. We agreed on a price and we scheduled the kitchen cabinet doors and drawers to be removed on Monday. The crew, led by Julio, arrived on time and neatly performed their work. I had asked if it was possible to finish the job by Friday so we could host a family dinner. They all promised it would be done by Friday. I received a call from Julio on Tuesday night indicating the refinishing was done and they could finish the job on Wednesday if we wished. We agree and again, they were on time. They neatly sanded the styles and rails of the cabinets and refinished them. The doors and drawers were put back and the kitchen looks brand new. Now late arrivals, no messes and no up sale attempt. Armand is really easy to work with and so are the guys he works with. I have two really expensive dressers that I damaged with a candle and I was really nervous about getting them refinished. I was worried a new finish would look cheap because I always think that nothing ever looks as good as the original factory finish. Aren't you tired? Yes you, the person reading this review. Tired of businesses that once hired for a job can not just follow directions? A simple request regarding how to see a job through. Julio, employee of Arman was tasked with repairing an antique English hutch, (see photos). The damage was sufficient. This was going to take much effort. Some of the overall repairs were completed satisfactorily. However, this hutch is meant to remain in two major sections. Julio and company, against the owner's instructions, attached the top to the bottom. The hutch is no longer an authentic piece. Additionally, the shelves are stuck and can not be re-positioned within the cabinet. There is also a large spot on the lower section where too much wood stain was used. Lastly, no discount for these costly errors was offered or given. To bring this to a close, beware when choosing a business to fix your important items. read more

The problem with Yelp is that you can award only five stars. Custom Wood Finishing deserves at least ten if not a hundred. My wife and I had never had wood professionally stained in our 37-year old home. The wooden front doors, bannisters, shutters and cabinets looked so bad I thought it might be useless to even try to restore them, but we decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did! We liked Arman and hired him to refinish our Omega maple kitchen cabinets. The painter had problems getting the color and finish correct, but finally got it right after the third try. The cabinet hinges were in perfect condition and everything aligned before they were removed for painting by his men. Unfortunately, when re-installed, the cabinet doors were not attached properly and not aligned. The drawers, with no hinges, were also installed wrong, misaligned and rubbed against each other. Arman sent someone over to fix it, but, he did not know what to do, and left saying that Arman would send a professional to do it. He never did. There were other issues: His men used a leaf blower to remove the sawdust and blew it onto our fresh paint, cupboard parts were installed upside down, hot pink marking pen, tape and sawdust residue left in the cupboards. After only a few months, we were disappointed to see that some of the paint is cracking along the cabinet trim. read more

I hired Custom Wood Finishing to paint the cabinets in my kitchen. I was promised a seven day completion and it took 3 1/2 weeks with call backs to repaint and repair terrible workmanship. The preparation of and masking off with paper and plastic sheeting was pathetic. I had paint on my granite, tile and grout, and appliances that took me two days with a toothbrush and acetone to remove. The dust and dirt that was left was never vacuumed or dealt with by them. masking tape was left everywhere that I had to remove when cleaning up the overspray paint. The only time I saw the owner/supervisor was to sign the contract. My kitchen was unusable for the entire time. I have photos of all the problems to prove this is a real review. When I paid them I deducted all the man hours it took me to repair and clean up their poor workmanship. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR.................. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY. read more

Arman was highly recommended on Nextdoor Digest by a few neighbors, so I thought I would get an estimate. Arman was easy to work with, professional, and a great communicator. Arman is also extremely patient - he answered all of my questions and texts quickly. On a Friday, he reached out to let me know he had time the next week on his schedule, and the cabinets were picked up on a Tuesday and back by Friday looking gorgeous and brand new. I was very impressed that Arman himself came over to supervise the pick-up and check on the re-installation. He made sure everything was taken care of from A-Z. Axel, his associate was also very meticulous he pointed out holes in the cabinet we made from child proof locks and asked if I would like these fixed. Their service is incredible.
