This place is great!!! It's a real fabric store, not just for quilters. There's a variety of fabric bolts for sewing all sorts of things, including jackets, clothes, and silky things. There's a nice selection of outerwear fabric, upholstery fabric, different weight fleeces, and of course lots of cotton, and blends. The prices are right. The owner is personable and helpful. They even have sewing classes, which are lots of fun! read more

Very nice little fabric shop, with a variety of different materials (quilting cotton, stretch knit, canvas, etc) and notions. I was thrilled to find metal bobbins which can be difficult since the newer machines all take plastic. Prices for fat quarters & yardage are typical, with a goodly amount of remnants at bargain prices. I did not get the name of the woman working when I was there, however she was very friendly & helpful. Don't forget to give Dozer a pat on the head while you're there - a real sweetheart of a doggo! read more

I adore this gem of a fabric shoppe! I am a quilter and new to the area and already know this is My Go-To Fabric Store. Kaarin has stocked it well regardless of whether you sew clothing or quilts or cctaft with fabric I sought fabric to complement the wildly colorful and gregarious fabric designed by Tula Pink, whom my granddaughters 2, 6 & 10 gravitate towards. Kaarin steered me straight to the glorious Lightning Bolt fabric in gorgeous colors from the designer Libs Elliott. Talk about a Connection! Cannot wait to share this gloriously messy fun with Maddison next trip North! The two in London should warm right up to colorful quilts. read more

Hidden gem! I am so glad to discover this wonderful store. The fabric selection and variety of sewing supplies is amazing! I picked up what I needed for a very unique project and it turned out even better than I expected. Excellent store. The staff is friendly attentive without being "too much" like so many stores are today. It's a small local store, and I would happily come back here and order through here if they don't have just the pattern I need. There is convenient parking in the back and a calm atmosphere inside. This review is a bit late, but in the beginning of June, we were on the hunt to make a quick fix to hem a dress for a wedding. Nobody in town had availability to make the alteration, but we were referred to Cut and Run by another local business, and found them to be SO helpful for our situation! Who I assumed to be the owner, was very pleasant and friendly, showing us options for hem tape, and also going out of her way to show us how to apply to our dress in mind. The store was immaculate, very cute, and they even had a sweet dog sitting behind the front area. We would absolutely recommend this store for sewing and alterations projects - so happy to see another local store pop up in SLO! We will certainly be back! read more

Kaarin is a very nice person who can give you lots of information about sewing. Any questions you have about sewing she can answer, and if she can't she probably can find the answer for you. She gives excellent friendly service to each person who comes in. All the fixtures in the store were built by her husband. The store is colorful and full of all types of fabrics and support products. Plus if your sewing machine is broken you can drop it off and a local sewing machine repair person will pick it up there and bring it back to running condition. she has free parking in the back too. A great little shop full of great garment and quilt fabrics plus all the supplies you'll Need to create amazing anything textile! A much needed shop in SLO it is owned and managed by a woman who truly loves all things textiles. She and her trusty pooch are there to help answer questions and provide inspiration. She stocks denims, linen, quilting and garment cottons, leather scraps, oil cloth, utility fabrics, all sorts of interfacings, buttons, threads, notions and books and vintage patterns.
