We were searching for a Thai restaurant for lunch on a Saturday and google showed us Divine Thai. When we reached there, I noticed it was closed. And next door was this beads store that caught my eye. My wife is always interested in wearing different type of earrings and for that reason stepped in to check that place. Store has all types of beads, crystals and what not that can be used for the earrings, necklace and bracelets. I always wanted to design earrings for my wife and got excited. Store owner Michele offered to assemble it, if I picked the necessary beads and outlined what I had in mind. I picked 2 heart shaped beads and frames and she spent like 10 minutes setting up and there we have our first custom designed ear-ring. Searched online to see if there were any bead shops in the area. Found this one in Grover Beach. Lots of trays full of colorful beads for jewelry making or crafting projects. Many, many completed bead necklaces and such. The girl at the store (owner, I think) was super nice and helpful. There were a couple other ladies shopping when I stopped by. When they were finished, the girl there helped me with my questions and showed me to a few items she thought might work for me. I found a super cute sun catcher with colorful beads and a dragonfly on it. I also found a little sailboat charm that will work great on a crafting project I have in mind. I stopped by with my boyfriend and was met with a warm greeting! I bought several beads and the selection is amazing! I stick to glass beads mostly. I discovered then last time I was in town. They've got a lot of ceramic findings, and a decent mixture of stone and glass beads otherwise. The owner is very pleasant to talk with. The prices are pretty good on the beads, average on the findings. I came back this time because I wanted to get more of a unique hello kitty bead is found for a friend last time. Fantastic shop that has been in Grover for years. I needed a simple piece to repair some jewelry and she had such a selection including gold plated in white and yellow gold that will help from tarnishing. The owner is fantastic and was so accommodating and helpful. She grabbed her tools and fixed my piece within a few seconds. She didn't charge me anything for all her help and just charged me for the parts. All of her prices are great and she has such a unique selection to choose from.
