Lost me as a regular customer today. I really liked coming to Cuts and have been doing so since I moved to the desert last summer. I only had one off experience when one of the barbers tried to overcharge me for a buzz cut, but that was quickly remedied. But after today, I won't go back. I walk in optimistically because the shop doesn't close for 2-1/2 HOURS. I think I'm in luck because the sole barber was finishing up with a customer and there was only one other person in the place. But the rather snooty receptionist informs me that they won't be taking any more customers today because there's only one barber. Really? When you have 2-1/2 hours to closing? When you have a regular customer who's driven from south Palm Springs, parked, and assumed, because of your walk-in policy, I would get a haircut? I might have to wait, but that's okay. But NO? You can't take me? Seriously? I could see the list of call-ins and there weren't that many. It seemed to me this was a case of the barber not wanting to be inconvenienced. What about the customer? You waste my time, you lose my business. Goodbye, Cut. I wish I could say it was me, but it's you. read more

Moved to the desert from LA and needed a good barber. I was hesitant about a lot of the places being a woman who gets "butch" haircuts. I booked an appointment with JR and he exceeded my expectations. He is very precise and seems to take a lot of pride in his work. I got one of the best haircuts ever and at a great price too. I walked in with out an appointment and was told it would be about an hour wait, but that I didn't have to wait around as they could txt or call me when my turn was coming up. David. the receptionist, also offered me a coupon for a free coffee at the coffee shop next door. So I went to the coffee shop (5 stars for them too) and relaxed with my free coffee. A few minutes later David walked into the coffee shop and let me know that they could get me in much sooner. That's great customer service in my book. I can't remember the Barbers name, but he was very friendly and did an excellent job. I'm very happy with the service and the work that they do. I'll be coming to Cut Barber form now on. read more

I called at 10am to put myself on the list for 5:30pm, after I get out of work. The woman who took my call said I was good to go. I show up at 5:20 and am told they had some walk ins and the barbers aren't taking anyone after that. What's the point of a list at all if it means nothing. What a waste of time. After making a poor hair choice lol i went in and they where able to me clean up my mess. I was very happy with the out come!!

I've had my hair cut here three times, All 3 were great. The first time i called and asked pricing, I was told 25, came in and got my hair cut. The machine prompts you for a tip, So it comes to 30 at least assuming you tip as a standard. Fair for a good hair cut. The second time I came in The hair cut cost 35 before tip. Apparently it's more for a hand cut. I suppose they value a cut using mostly trimmers at $25 which seems outrageously expensive. This is where my first issue arose; as I was not told any variation in price upon any visit, but most importantly the original quote I got was $25 with no mention of upcharges, as well as it was a hand cut. So after the second visit I figured it was a more hands on pricing and now I know the price can very. So I called to set up my appointment, specifically requesting the style of hair cut I originally got at that price (which involved almost entirely hand cutting), and they claimed to have put notes into the computer about my desired haircut style and price. I came in for third hair cut, which necessitated a hair wash, which up until entering this barber has never increased the price of a hair cut. I got a very satisfactory hair cut and had a wonderful conversation, as I Have every time I've been there. The price came to 40 before the tip, 35 for a hand cut and 5 for the wash. Now after getting out of school (I'm a college student on a budget) I specifically decided to avoid doing volunteer work for the American cancer society today to get a more practical hair cut, as apposed to my normal barber who is in Temecula, whom I could have gone to see tomorrow, and gives amazing hair cuts and only costs $18, hair wash and great conversation included; I can round up to $25 giving, percentage wise, a better tip than I can afford at cut. To make a long story short I canceled volunteering, missed out on getting my preferred hair cut, and now need to cut back on groceries because I spent $15 more than anticipated when you account for tip. I also didn't go into too much detail about what I wanted as the cut progressed assuming they weren't charging me premium rates, so the cut wasn't necessarily exactly what I'd envisioned (but I do love it) and somehow I payed the most I've ever payed for a hair cut. I will emphasize, the staff is amazing. However is seems the pricing structure is derivative of a business structure that smells a bit fishy, and I do wonder when you choose to spend your hard earned money there, if the hard working hairstylists are the ones truly benefiting or is the ownership the real winner. I don't advise against or towards going there, but I probably won't be going back. read more

He had to go to another barber shop to get it fixed. The person here who cut my boyfriend's hair has no clue. Do yourself a favor and don't throw away your $$ here. read more

Great barbershop in uptown Palm Springs. Always a fun and welcoming vibe (good music too). Even if there's a line, the wait is minimal. And they have a new appointment system where you just call ahead and they put you on the list. Great haircuts at a very fair price. The place can get crowded on weekends...lots of LA boys seem to wait 'til the get to the desert to get a cut. Only negative is that they raised the price of a beard trim from $10 to $15. I understand if you have a big bushy beard that needs to be manicured like a topiary, but if you have a short beard that just needs to be cleaned up a little ten bucks should do it. read more

A really great barber shop with friendly caring staff. The barbers will take their time to give you a great cut; but if you're in a hurry like me, they can do a great job in 15 minutes. I love that.
