This place moved into another space, still in the same plaza. There was still construction around, even in the parking lot area (by the restaurants behind For Eyes place, which was an Einstein's Bagels.) The lady that opened the store, Gabriella, was very friendly. She even offered my little one a balloon and a small ball after seeing him going nuts with the sound of snipping scissors around his head. His hairdresser, Evelyn, was so patient with Maxwell. She didn't mind his meltdown at all. She didn't do such a bad job with his hair since he moved around a lot. She didn't try to tell me to calm him down, unlike the other place we've taken him the last two times. The place looked clean to me. I don't recall the previous location looking dirty at all, though. I guess I made a good decision to choose a morning hour. We haven't been back since getting his first haircut here because it wasn't in our area and definitely can't stand the traffic of Aventorture. However, since the experience was better than the other place, it made us come back here. The price for a haircut was 21.90, not including tax & gratuity. I might try to get the "clean-up" service for next time, since I don't want most of my son's hair gone. We'll see about that :) No disappointment here! read more

I took my son in for his first haircut. It was a perfect experience. Evelyn was a great hairdresser, patient, caring, and seemed to care about what she was doing. They took pictures and gave me a certificate for his first haircut. They also gave me locks of his hair. They didn't mind that I was standing around taking dozens of pictures. Honestly, everyone was great. They played Mickey Mouse playhouse for Adam and he was super entertained. Cutting a 10 month old's hair is pretty hard, they squirm, wiggle, and turn around and somehow Evelyn was an expert at following that little head around, he ended up with a good haircut! My son loved it and so did I. I highly recommend this place for your kids. Some reviewers had complained about the price but I found it reasonable, not expensive. They cut my son's ear. Twice. And he wasn't even moving. Positives: the place is nice and clean and I would have loved to keep going there. Negatives: you always have to wait at least 15min. Always. And then the real negative is that they cut my son's ears. Twice. I even went back after the first time they accidentally cut my son's ear. But when they did it again I realized it was not an accident. It's lack of skills. The hair dresser who did it apologized but tried to hide it from the manager to avoid being reprimanded. I talked to the manager and they apologized and didn't charge me. At least they were decent. In any case, I'm never going back. read more

It's a little dirty, a little crowded, the male at the front desk (maybe the owner) kind of pissed me off, but I will let that go, as I was nervous for my daughter's first "real" haircut, so I was a little on "edge". However, the staff was amazing. My daughter sat in a red Ferrari, watched Mickey on the tv at her station and played with the old, dingy toys. The whole experience was actually a success, which is not what I was expecting from my high-maintenance, moody, stubborn 2 year-old. Since it was her "first" haircut, she got a certificate (which I forgot at the salon) and they are mailing me the pictures. A cute little touch. They also gave her a balloon, lollipop and some of the dollar store toy items such as bows, a bracelet....Yes they are cheap, yes they are made in China, but this was a nice touch and considering small children love that crap. It's a kid friendly atmosphere with toys, games and of course movies to watch while they are getting their hair cut. Which I must say its so great because the kids don't move around as much and they are entertained. The owners are very friendly and try their best to accommodate you and your child. If its your first hair cut they take pictures and give u a certificate with the pieces of the hair that were first cut which I still have the one they gave me for my son 6 yrs ago. She got right to work and despite my son's erratic behavior due to his unfamiliarity with the process, she just kept cutting. She even maneuvered well between my eight-month pregnant belly and my barrage of pictures. She was so professional, excellent with my boy and did a fabulous job. My son loves to come here, especially when Evelyn cuts his hair. All the ladies have a ton of patience and take their time with the little ones. I can't believe after 4 years client since my son 4 months old. Today my son experiencing the worse service ever, they are either uneven, didn't put seat belt on when he was 1 year old, he almost get hurts by she didn't tight his seat belt when she cuts his hair. Lucky I was there and able to hold him. Because her job is to secure every kids before cuts their hair. I never complaints any issues that they are getting worse service ever. But today my son got cut his ear because the lady Luisa reject to make it even the hair cuts. I can't believe that the service got worse, I always tip $5-$8 every hair cuts. I know they get pay by tipping. But I don't get it why can't be more precaution working around the kids?? I move from Aventura to Cooper city for the past 4 years and I always takes my son's there. Great place! Everyone was super nice. The reason I didn't give all 5 stars is they need to clean up. There was hair in the cars and seats. So a little cleaning would go a long way. What a great experience with Teresita! This was truly an experience to remember and I will definitely be bringing my little one back. She put Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on for him and placed the blue cape on and it was showtime. He loved getting his hair cut in a car and did not wiggle or squirm not once. HATED IT - RUDE AND DIRTY!! Had a terrible time here!!! Thought the people there would be fun and caring, but found them to be indifferent and rude. We came looking forward to a fabulous experience for my daughter on the actual day of her first birthday for her first haircut because the salon was highly recommended. I guess the management or workers there have changed ALOT. We came for a cut, the wait was long, so we made an appointment for 1 hour later. When we returned, we were told to come back in 30 minutes, as the stylists needed a break. We explained that we were fast approaching nap time and needed to come as soon as possible. When we returned in 30 minutes (after being called by the receptionist) two other children were already being taken care of and we were told unapologetically that it wouldn't take long at all. In the words of Jerry Steinfeld, they know how to TAKE the reservation, but they don't know how to HOLD the reservation. We left without being accomodated - and found a fabulous salon - You and I Beauty Lab - with a princess room for our first haircut. Rafael was wonderful with her - posed for pictures and we left with an adorable cut. Great place for the little ones. My 2 year old hates having his hair cut. I usually have to sit him on my lap while he acts like he is getting a root canal. Here, he complains for a few seconds until he is seated in his little car, and then all is peaceful. The cut is about $22, which is more then I pay for my teenager, but it is worth it. I highly recommend this place. I took my son here for his first out of the home haircut at about 18 months old and have been taking him here ever since. They really know their stuff. There are cars to sit in, and screens to watch, and the staff have the ability to make quick snips in the brief moments when toddlers aren't suddenly jerking their heads around. I was very pleased. Free convenient parking lot, my 2 boys were seen right away for their appt, Luz is great with the little ones! She is like a sweet Abuelita. Sings and all! Took my baby brother to get his hair cut. I had a lady named Luissa cut his hair and it all went okay until she made a big deal when I requested for her to shave the right side of his side burn because it seemed uneven to me. I didn't understand why she had to ask several staff and owners to view it and almost deny my request. I'm paying you $25 for just a haircut. The least you can do is accept my simple request so that my brother won't walk around with an uneven hair cut. She finally proceeds and CUTS MY BROTHERS EAR. Blames it on him moving when he was sitting on my lap staying still until he said "OUCH!" Because she used a more sharper, dangerous, and unnecessary tool to shave it and places it at an unsafe angle. I HIGHLY recommend you to not waste your money on this place. They tried avoiding the situation and trying to calm the situation down by making the typical excuse of your child moving. Isn't that what you're paid for? I absolutely love this place. My two year old son loves it as well. The smaller kids are placed in cute sport cars and all the kids are given the choice of watching movies or cartoons. They have a wide selection of movies and cartoons ranging from Shark Tale to Thomas the Train :) The best part are the stylists. Each and every stylist we've had has not only been able to cut my non-stop moving toddler's hair, but given him an even and perfect hair cut. I made the mistake once of going somewhere else to get my son's hair cut and they made a mess of his hair. We went the next day to Cut-N-Play to get his hair fixed. I do want to address what another reviewer said about the toys being broken. This is true. The toys they have are broken but to be honest my son never noticed, especially considering that he can steer and honk the horn of the Ferrari he was sitting in :) As for the place being dirty, I never noticed it being dirty with hair - not more than any other hair salon . . . We Went for my daughter's first cut today at 19 months. She normally hates getting her hair brushed or nails cut etc so I was worried to take her in for a haircut. It went well. She played with the toys while she waited for her turn. She sat in a car to get her hair cut and sat with an Elmo stuffed animal and was very happy. There were lots of other kids in there too which made her happy as well. When she got antsy her hairdresser, Luz, sang to her and kept her happy. My kids love watching movies or playing video games while they have their haircut. The only thing I wish they would do is wash their hair...they just spray water as they cut... I really really REALLY wanted to like this place! Especially since it is so close and easy to get 2 little toddlers to! And the concept is great! But the place is filthy! We arrived and my kids were put into "car" chairs...they were cute. But FULL leftover hair! They were then given a book to choose a cartoon...I was not asked first if it was ok! My kids were placed in front of a tv shows that were not age appropriate! They were also each given a broken toy to play with....One was given a barbie who was so dirty she looked like a Dalmatian and her head came off the second my daughter touched it! Every toy was broken and so dirty that I was truly disgusted! Each toy was also filled with other kids hair! The stylists could not speak English. With some luck and much coaching by me on how to cut and style one child ended up with a good haircut that is only a little uneven. My daughter is going back to another salon to have her hair recut today! The owner seems to be sweet but kept giving my kids "cheap" dirty crap from china to try to win us over! The kind of cheap junk that you know is full of lead and other harmful stuff for kids and would be a serious choking risk for any small baby that also might be in the house! Like everything else in the place it was full of hair clippings!! I threw it all way and felt so bad for the environment! 2 kids haircuts were $100!! read more

This was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had with any type of business. After this I am so happy that there are so many other, and better, options within minutes of here that will appreciate my business. After making an appt here i sat and waited in this mad house for 15 minutes before even being greeted by the man at the front. We waited 45 minutes in this crowded zoo with dirty and outdated toys when I noticed that a woman and her child walk right in and right into a chair to start their haircut. I questioned management as to when her appt was and they told me that I was late and that they would get to me when they could. I explained that I was not late and again questioned what time the woman's appt was. They ignored my question again and insisted that I was late, borderline becoming confrontational with me. This after waiting for them for 15 minutes at the front desk and for 45 minutes trying to keep my 16 month old from putting hair from the ground that they seem to never sweep up and dirty broken toys into his mouth. I clearly left here after basically being called a liar. Their customer service is atrocious and I feel bad for anyone that wastes their time and money at a place that does not appreciate either. read more
