I've been coming here for the last 3.5 years whenever I am at school and I have never had a poor experience. Both barbers get the job done and are always incredibly kind. I always enjoy chatting with them and other customers as I get my hair cuts done and it is something that I'll remember when I look back at my college days. There were two people ahead of me and I was in in out in about 45 minutes give or take. Haircut price is super reasonable compared to other shops. First cut is also only $20. I have been coming to get my haircut from Roman since I was 19 back in my freshman days of college at ASU. I love about 20 mins from the shop now but I still make the drive atleast once a month. Always does what you ask and he is the nicest guy. Walk in most the time, longest I have ever waited is maybe 20 minutes and that's with 3-4 people ahead of me. Cannot recommend this place enough, been tentative about trying new shops since I moved out to Tempe but Roman absolutely does not disappoint. Watched him give 2 great cuts before me and then shaped me up nice and quickly while being cool the whole time. read more

Better than Ray's for a short hair scissor cut if you have straight hair. Ray's tend to go too short and too sharp on top and the cut comes out like a military haircut for the Marines. After his cut I looked in the mirror and felt like Uncle Sam wants me to enlist now to fight for my country. If you okay with that conservative look then Rays is the cheaper choice for you. Roman is 2$ more but he is really fast and knows to leave the hair longer than requested for any changes. Roman asked if I like the cut halfway thru to see if we were on the same page. He was really good with leaving volume on top but wasn't great at cleaning up the edges by the ears. That's ok though because I cleaned it up when I got home - which is a lot easier than waiting a month for my hair to grow back from visiting Ray's. Roman can improve on his skill though by giving texture to the hair like Regal Gentleman does on youtube but overall for the price he is spot on. read more

Roman is one of the most experienced and Best barbers in the valley. He cares about every customer that comes in to get a cut. He is known for his skin fades, literally the best. I think one time he wasn't in the shop because he was cutting a celebrities hair. Quality person, He has been my barber since 2008. I have no plans to ever look for another until he sells or retires. His price is Extremely fair for the time and care he dedicates. His wife works alongside him, absolute sweet heart. Roman lost his way.... this was the only barber I went to for 3 years and the last 3 haircuts I've had the same problem. They messed up. His wife brought in my sidelines without me asking and it looked stupid. Roman gave me a hard part and messed up on centering it. It came out as one massive hard part with hair in the center still. I called him out on it and he said it was the last haircut I got that made it that way..... still got my last haircut with him and showed him a picture of how the part was sloppy. Sad to leave a bad review for this place but Roman is honestly distracted while giving haircuts and you pay the price. read more

I refuse to let anyone else cut my hair. Roman is an awesome barber and I love coming in to chop it up with him. I was recommended to come here by a friend and found a barber that actually knew how to do a proper fade and line up. I've seen Roman do everything from lineups to combovers, and I would never let my money go to another barbershop in Tempe. I've been coming here religiously for the better part of two years and love it. He's a big sports fan, and you'll find everything from football posters to a signed soccer jersey hanging on the walls. Good price and great haircuts. Started going here a couple months ago after I moved to Tempe and have always been happy with my haircuts.

It just doesn't get any better. Roman is a true master barber. His wife learned from the best and can out cut most old school barbers. I've have maybe 5 haircuts elsewhere in 20 years and I've regretted each one. No one else cuts my hair, but these two.
