***YOU TIP BEFORE SERVICE*** I came in with high hopes for Rick but I was let down real hard. I tried showing him a photos of generally what I wanted (burst fade), but because I didn't show the EXACT haircut I desired, he apparently had no idea what to do. I then gave him 1 photo where the only change I wanted was to lower the fade, and he made a fuss about needing an exact photo even though the change was not drastic. After some back and forth, we decide on trimming the top and back then blending in the sides with a low fade (essentially what I asked for earlier). This man then proceeds to swoop my hair back and give me a middle part. I did not walk in with pulled back hair, nor a middle part. I would have even been mildly happy with the haircut if it was decent, but it wasn't even that. The top is uneven and the sides aren't blended at all. I should have issued a chargeback on my card while I had the chance because this was just the wrong product at this point. I would have given 2 stars for the abysmal haircut, but im giving a 1 because tipping is done before you get the haircut if you book online, and of course there's no way to change that afterwards. Also they up charge you 10 dollars if you need scissors. Really? Every single other barber shop I've been to just calls that a haircut. I don't care about the price (given that the quality isn't shit) but at least have a clear pricing guide. read more

Some barber named Marcus just gave me the worst haircut of my life. I'm so fucking pissed. I'm a female. I told him to leave my length in the top and take the sides down. I even showed him a picture. That asshole cut all my length off the top. The cut looks nothing like the picture and I had more length than the girl in the picture. I'd give this place a -5 stars. I wish I would have never walked in this place. Ok, I came home and picked my hair out. This haircut is worse than I thought. Marcus's excuse for chopping my length was, " It's all the same length now ". Really, Marcus? Really? I don't think any of my hair is the same length. I'm pulled my hair and put twist in some pics trying to show the various lengths he gave me. That fool actually cut the front center so short I can barely catch it to twist it. While the front left and right of center are at least 1.5 inches. That's approximately 1/3 of what my length was when I walked into the shop. He had the nerve to have an attitude when I got upset. Maybe, someone can tell me WTF? Does Marcus really have a Barber license? Anyone that knows the owner, tell him/her I was to speak to them. This is straight bullshit. Did I say I'm pissed? Cut all my muthafuckn hair off for this bullshit. Update On 9/23/17 I noted Marcus, the Barber who hacked my hair off posted he found it "funny" under my review. On 9/26/17 The business has ignored my requests for information that would be on the licenses. They are required by law to display their license. I went to the shop to take a quick picture of the business and professional licenses. Marcus grabbed the frame with all of the licenses and took them to a back room before I could take the picture. They refused to allow me to view them. They kicked me out of the shop. I went to the Board and found some interesting information. In my opinion Marcus can not be trusted. Had to find a new place to cut my hair after moving from the West side to the Tempe area. Saw Crisp Cutz on Yelp and decided to give it a shot. The shop is in a small market area along the main road. The interior is nice and welcoming. The waiting seats are lined up on a wall right across from the two barber seats. They have TV's on the walls that was playing ESPN. This place is manned by two babers, Sean and Polo that have a good customer base. When I went in, I believe there was maybe around 4 regulars getting their haircut. I got my hair cut by Polo. He's a really nice guy and really good at what he does. The only downfall I have about this place is the wait time. With 4 people in front of me, it took around 2+ hours before I could get in that barber seat. I would recommend calling in ahead of time to see what the wait is like before going in. Went this morning for a haircut. Had the cut done with Rick, saw on the page he had many years of experience expected a great cut with attention to detail. Don't want to blame him entirely cause I wasn't explaining the details of what kind of cut I wanted. Once I got home and had some friends look at my haircut they point out my side where all uneven, there were some comments about the top of my hair possibly could've done better. Maybe Rick was having an off day, but he was eating a Parfait so who can be upset eating one of those. Definitely wish I could take back my $20 tip I gave him.... Idk a haircut is supposed to leave you feeling confident and great....this one did not. Was about to go back to have him fix all the spots he missed, but a friend of mine had some clippers and fixed it up nice. The only reason I'm not giving them a 5 star is because I had to wait 45 mins. The set up is really neat! Clean, welcoming and friendly. They even have a play area with play station that you could use while you wait till you're called. Never seen that before so that's pretty cool. I forgot the guys name that cut my hair but I just told him 3 faded on the bottom and trim the top I didn't have to say anything else and he knew exactly what I was looking for! Man, I wish that these guys were back in CA! I came in here on my lunch break while visiting the area for work. Joe cut my hair, and did a great job. He did the correct cut with scissors and a straight razor. Since he knew that I was going back to work, he even rinsed my hair so that I wouldn't be itchy all day. It was a cool environment, with TVs on all walls playing sports. The guys and their interactions with each other/clients are cool/entertaining. And it looked like they even had an area with a Wii set up for the kids. Overall, this is a great place! read more

Went in yesterday for a haircut at crisp cutz and it looked pretty good. But once I got home some parts looked a bit uneven and not blended well. So I called and the owner(Sean) answered and I spoke to him about the situation. He told me to come in and he'll take care of me. The barber that cut my hair first, spoke to me and apologized and even handed me the money back. I tried to give it back to him but he said it's fine to keep it. The owner (Sean) fixed the haircut and he apologized for the first visit. I tried to pay him but he wouldn't take it. And said to keep it for the inconvenience.
