I have been coming here for a little while know. I am one of the few men who wear a "high & tight - Flat Top." I can say that several barber's here can accommodate, but Dalton is on point. I highly recommend him if you want a Flat Top. I am not ashamed to say that Mr. J Moose is great at waxing unwanted hair around your head. this place is legit a legit Barber Shop. keep it up gents!

Omer or Omar did really good! He is very polite even though he doesn't speak much English. He's very good at listening. He gave me a very good taper fade. The shop is well maintained and clean.

By far the best haircut I have received in Scottsdale. Moose always greeted me with a handshake. Provide excellent service. Extremely convenient as I'm never waiting in line. Upbeat Music in a comfortable environment also in a very convenient location right off of 202.

The hair cut isn't even done yet and these guys know how to cut hair! My husband has been looking for a good barber forever, we thought we found one but then one day they cut off all his hair? And we were confused and now we're at j moose and the vibes are clean, professional, knowledgeable. The products on the shelves are quality, I like the waiting area. The worked on his hair immediately. This is our new barber 100. We saw ALI and he went right to work and saw the vision. We have only been to a barber 10 times so we're new to this. I usually take him to women's hair places because he likes his long hair but that wasn't working out anymore. read more

Incredibly friendly, expert barbers, and affordable prices. If you're looking for a place with a laid back true-to-form barber shop vibes, hit up J Moose. My barber, Feras, is a true professional. Walked me through fade cut options and never once made me feel that I was unwelcome. Even gave me sage advice for a scalp issue I've had for some time. An exceptional business and experience. Their customers are young boys to older man. The barbers are artists. It is more than just barbering. I personally enjoy the music, the humorous signs and friendliness of the barbers and owner. Up until I started going to J Moose seeing other men being groomed had never been particularly interesting much less inspiring to watch. With J Moose I have been interested in seeing the progression of each service. As mentioned I believe the barbers are artistic and highly skilled. My opinion is it is nice to occasionally see, "business done right". If you were to sit in the waiting area you would probably see at least one transformation. Improved appearance. read more

Horrible they have daily new barbers and they all suck I would NOT recommend you tell them one thing they do the other if you tell them that they did something wrong they deny it vibe is horrible because I know they talk abt me in Arabic because I had a past bad experience and my dad had to talk to them about it when I go back they all look at me and talk abt me in Arabic never going again read more

My son will only go here for a haircut. I feel as if he has developed some kind of loyalty or relationship with the place because he's had some bad cuts and still goes back. He's also had great cuts. There have been quite a few times he ends up with a pretty bad breakout along the nape of his neck, I believe it may be caused by clippers not being cleaned up properly but I'm no barber and haven't the slightest idea what causes it. So that's just speculation on my part. He doesn't get it after every visit though, so it's not just him. I've gone in with him and waited and the environment is pretty cool. I feel as if I've reviewed before. It's plastered in masculine signage with funny puns and statements, it smells like my eighth grade and the chairs are usually full. In watching the interaction and watching some cool foreign film up on the screens, I kind of understand why he likes the place. Him and all of the homies go to J Moose for their cuts. It's reasonably priced and in my opinion because of that, if you like the barber you can be more gratuitous at the end. I'm sure he'll be back since he seems to refuse to try anywhere else. Whereas I think it's just ok, which had me toggle between 3-4 stars. However, considering he won't go anywhere else, he must think it's good. To each their own. read more

This place is awesome, highly recommended. The price is unbeatable for a men's cut, the two barbers I've been to were both consistent and honestly gave some of the best cuts I've had, and when I felt like I needed a touch-up the following day because I didn't ask for enough off the top the first time, they cleaned me up and refused to accept payment for it, even though it was my fault. Absolutely worth the 5/5, don't even waste your time with other places if you're looking for a new spot to go. read more

I booked with Boris specifically because I saw he does beard trims and styles that match what I like. Boris absolutely nailed it. He took the time to understand what I wanted, delivered a clean, sharp haircut, and the beard trim was on point and shaped perfectly without taking off too much. Most importantly, the beard is wife-approved, which is basically the ultimate review. If you're picky about your hair/beard and don't want to gamble on "good enough," book Boris. I'll be back.

I moved to Arizona from the UK almost 2 years ago, and I've been coming here for that full time! I've moved around the valley a bit, and I've always gone out of my way to get my cut at J Moose. I live in Phoenix now, but I still make the 30 minute drive out to J Moose every 3-4 weeks or so. It's hard to find a barber shop that's right for you, and I struck the jackpot with J Moose! In those two years, I've loved every haircut I've had (apart from one about a year ago which was by a trainee, but J Moose made it right the next day. Everyone makes mistakes, and you have to learn somehow). I'm not exactly a fashion guru, so when about a year ago J Moose suggested putting a line in along my side part, I said "Sure" and didn't know what to expect...I've never looked back since! Great advice! The shop itself is really cool - whenever I'm waiting, I always find myself looking around at all the memorabilia around the walls. They often have sports on the TV, which I appreciate as well. I find there's the perfect amount of conversation with the barbers. They all recognize me and are very friendly, but they're never too much. Before I started going here, I'd dread that awkward small-talk with barbers/hairdressers which never seemed to end. But at J Moose, they'll ask a few questions, have a chat for a few minutes, but you never feel pressured into a conversation. If you're tired, you can just sit there quietly without it being awkward, which is what I need sometimes after a long day at work. It sounds silly, but it's the perfect balance in my eyes, and I really appreciate that. I also think the price is very reasonable. I'm very happy to pay $16 (+tip) for a good haircut! But they don't accept credit card, so remember to bring cash with you! 5/5, I'll be coming back to J Moose for as long as I'm in Arizona! read more

If you want a sharp and modern haircut with a perfectly blended fade, look no further. I highly recommend asking for Ihsan. He is a master of his craft. The haircut I requested is a fairly difficult one to get right. I wanted a long and messy comb over on top with a low fade on the sides, and a super low taper fade in the back. Ihsan gave me exactly what I asked for with absolute precision. My hair has never looked better. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because I felt a little rushed. I believe all of the barbers and clients were Persian. They were having lively conversations in what sounded like Farsi, and I honestly felt a little left out. I like being able to chill and shoot the shit with my barber. Although my haircut was perfect, I was in and out of the place in about 15 minutes. To most people this is a plus, but I enjoy getting pampered when I go to the barber shop. I didn't receive an after shave splash / powder brush on my neck, or a hot towel for my face. I also like it when a barber offers to style your hair with some product, remove your blackheads, and clean up your eyebrows. My haircut was only $16 ($21 with tip), so I really shouldn't be complaining about their no frills approach. Despite the lack of camaraderie and pampering, I won't let anyone other than Ihsan touch my hair ever again. My hair looks too damn good to go anywhere else. read more

I normally have my friend cut me up but he wasn't available so I was very skeptical to try out any barber shop in my area. I gave JMoose barbershop a chance and my guy Dalton was great! He took his time hearing me out to ensure I got the cut I wanted and he did a great job. Ive been here a total of 3 times now twice with Dalton (who is my go-to now, absolute faith with him seriously) and once with Moose the owner himself. First off I'd like to start by saying this is the best barbershop I've been to in Vancouver Great haircuts and service even greater. They have numbers for the customers to track who came first and it's very organized store. The barbers there are very professional and highly trained and on top of that they are nice and welcoming. It was hard for me to find a barber who really carried and took his time to cut my hair the way I wanted it. I kept going to different place for a few years till someone told me about this place..I've now been coming here for three years! These guys are top notch. I have been going to his for over 2 years now almost every two weeks for a haircut and beard trim. I have had absolutely no complaints and staff is very friendly. I understand a barbershop with a regular clientele. I get doing someone a favor when they're in a hurry and maybe bumping them up the line. But after waiting 30 minutes to watch several walk ins get taken before me, to then see the owner get seated for a haircut before the customer who had been waiting, pushed me out. I moved up to Scottsdale from Tucson earlier this year. I had previously been with the same barber for 3 years and I hate finding a new one. Been going To Jmoose Barber For The last 5 Years. Upon Arrival There Is a Friendly Welcome Upon Entrance. It can get quite busy at times, But The guys can handle the volume. The new gentleman that cut my hair was very attentive and listened to any of the requests I had. Date of visit 09/16/20. The establishment was clean and felt sanitized.
