There is an area where you can make a charm bracelet and an Italian charm bracelet. I was there ready to make my Italian charm bracelet. The staff at Kikichic were friendly and gave instructions on how their charm bar worked. The first step was trying on the Italian charm bracelets in order to figure out your size and the amount of links (charms) you would need to make your bracelet. In order for me to make a bracelet that fit comfortably I would need 17-18 links which would have been a bit expensive especially just after the holidays. So sadly I did not make an Italian charm bracelet this time around. Each charm was $3-$5 dollars and I saw a few that were $10 and up and I believe the blank charms with nothing on them were the ones that cost $3. So a full bracelet could run you about $90. So sadly for me it wasn't worth the cost especially so close after the holidays. I like doing price comparisons and I saw that I could make an Italian charm bracelet through Etsy way cheaper so I may go that route. But I will say that this charm bar is very cute and definitely would be a fun activity for someone's birthday or a fun activity to do with friends. I'm still giving this business a 5 because the staff was cool and ready to help and it was a welcoming environment.

I got a mushroom avocado kimbap from Kimbap Lab, and it was exactly what we needed - large rolls of sweet rice, fresh vegetables, and smooth avocado with meaty mushrooms, all wrapped in a slick seaweed sheet. There are so many options to pick up a souvenir from your museum visit! The location of the store is split in three locations, two inside the museum itself 1) directly to the left and down a floor when you enter from the 53rd Street entrance, 2) upstairs on the second floor of the museum toward the east side of the building closer to the second floor museum cafe, 3) directly across the street from the 53rd Street entrance on the south side of the street. They all carry the same items with varying degrees of overlap, the second floor store is the smallest, the store across the street carries more home furnishing items. From postcards, posters and stationery, writing tools, kitchen serving ware and utensils, toys, jewelry, accessories, home decor, books and other printed media, expect all sorts of creative designs. While I want to support art and artists, I think the only downside is that prices are definitely on the higher side, in general NY tourist attractions tend to upcharge so much for even the most basic items (like $8 magnets).

Even though I had a great time here, it may be worth it to read others opinions on the shop especially if you are an antiques buff (unlike myself). We were on vacation and stopped into this shop because we wanted to browse and spend some money…read more Unfortunately, it turned into one of the rudest customer service experiences I've ever had. As soon as we walked in, there was a large bottle of hand sanitizer by the entrance, and the owner immediately said, "Excuse me, sanitize your hands." The tone was demanding rather than welcoming. As a business owner, that's not the way to greet potential customers. I smiled and politely replied, "I'm sorry, I can't use that. I'm severely allergic." She responded, "You can't stay unless you do." I then held my hands to myself and said, "I won't touch anything." Her response, verbatim, was "Then you can just leave." Throughout the exchange, she smiled sarcastically and spoke in a snarky, dismissive tone. It took everything I had to remain composed in front of my children. I have a documented medical condition that prevents me from using alcohol-based hand sanitizer. I politely explained my disability-related limitation and offered a reasonable alternative so I could still shop without touching any merchandise. Rather than discussing any accommodation or offering another option, I was simply told to leave. I left feeling embarrassed, humiliated, and discriminated against because of my medical condition. Based on this experience, I will be filing a formal complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under the Americans with Disabilities Act so this incident can be reviewed. I hope the owner takes the opportunity to learn how to respectfully interact with customers who have legitimate medical disabilities and understands the importance of considering reasonable accommodations. I cannot recommend this business, and I hope no one else with a medical disability is treated the way I was.
