I have very hard feet to fit for shoes. I have a high arch, high instep, and wide as well. I have spent way too much money on shoes thinking I just needed quality shoes. What I needed was quality shoes that were offered in wide, which by the way most stores don't offer. The ladies made me feel valued, heard, and so very special. I felt comfortable, but the same time surrounded by a staff that knows their product and gives the best customer service. I walked away with two pairs of cute and comfy pairs of shoes and plan on going back for lots more. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Extremely rude owners, does not know how to talk to people over- needs to learn how to control emotion

Such a happy girl! Ever since my Simply Shoes location in Cool Springs closed, I have been at a loss to find dress shoes that didn't hurt my feet. I have a wide foot, and I do not enjoy pain, and I'm picky. I thought I was destined to live in Birkenstocks ordered online and a pair of painfully flat black dress shoes I've had for a million years and should've thrown away years ago. Enter the delightful Cute & Comfy Shoes, and no more worries. On my very first visit, I came home with FOUR pairs of shoes. That never happens. I was turned onto this place because I had ordered some Finn Comfort shoes online that simply didn't work out, and their ultra helpful customer service lady wanted to try and get to the bottom of how a size that fits my perfectly in a sandal is nowhere close in a flat... thus letting me know their local retailers in the area. I'm so glad for that phone call. First visit I came home with some snow boots, just because I could and I did end up wearing them a few weeks later (not an every day happening in Tennessee!), black dress shoes, grey slippers you can wear outside, and taupe flats. They ordered me a shoe we wanted to try one half size larger, and on my visit a month later once those came in I bought those shoes and a second pair of flats I had considered on the first visit, and a pair of sandals going on sale the next day she went ahead and sold to me on sale since I was there (another pair of Finn Comforts, in fact). I am so delighted to have met Darcy, and so happy to know I can support a locally owned small business woman who also gets it that not everyone can buy shoes just anywhere... yet we all need our cute and comfy shoes. I shop here too regularly for my budget...but hey, there is nothing more important than comfy feet, right?! These ladies (and one man) are so friendly and helpful! Long ago they turned me on to Arcopedico, and now do not travel anywhere without them. They are the perfect travel shoe...lightweight, supportive and stylish, and the upper mesh fabric expands with your foot as it moves, so no rubbing or tightness anywhere, ever! Since that fateful day when I found you all, I have been back many times to learn about Naot, Aetrex and Fly. My big wide feet are stylin' AND they feel good! First time visit, looking for Naot shoes, maybe some other European brands I love that are so hard to find. They do have Naots & a few other brands. It's a tiny store so I'd say if you live far away, just order online from the shoe websites. If your close, it's worth popping by to catch a deal on any clearance stuff though. I got 2 pr's for basically what I'd spend on one of those brands. They didn't have as many choices as I would like, but atleast they had the high quality shoes I was looking for! I was not there expecting or looking for cheap shoes but upon walking in I did get the "typical attitude" that you get in EVERY Green Hills store! As I was "greeted" walking in, I was given a rude, judgemental comment that "I'm sure you may not know the brands we carry" ... Oh really? You can decide by looking at me in 1 second how fat my wallet is & that I DON'T have a clue about your fancy shoes? After ignoring the rude comment & quickly letting them know I DID know about their brands, the cost, & could afford anything in the store...the attitude changed & they were helpful! Good grief, how about just say "hello & let me know if I can HELP you", that would be such a refreshing change in any Green Hills store! ;) read more

I was pretty excited when they opened up across in the Arcade across from my office. The shoe stock is good, albeit pricey, and the staff is friendly. But they don't do cash refunds, and they make no effort to let you know before you make an expensive purchase. That tells me they want my money, but they don't want my business. And they won't be getting it again, either. Here's what happened: I tried on a pair of boots in the store using a pair of thin trouser socks provided by the sales clerk. However, when I got them home and tried them on with my regular socks, they were way too tight. I brought them back for a refund. Normal consumer behavior, right? Well, guess what? They refused to issue a refund. They said it's store policy, although it isn't posted and no one bothered to mention it before I plunked down $140. The woman told me they put literature in every bag stating the policy [there was none in my bag, although I wouldn't have read it anyway and it would have been moot, since you don't get the bag until after your non-refundable purchase]. I demanded to talk to the owner. She absolutely refused to budge. Would not give me a refund, despite my receipt and despite the fact that the shoes had just been purchased, had never been worn and were still in stock and still in season. What kind of business owner does this? I will use my store credit to get shoes that fit, but I'm so angry about this that I will never, ever go here again after that. If you want to buy shoes here, go ahead. Just remember that you will NOT be able to get your money back, no matter the circumstances. read more

Just wanted to post an update on how much the boots I purchased have helped my feet. I wear them every day to work. Occasionally I'll wear other shoes outside of work, but as a whole, I wear these boots 95% of the time. For probably 9 months prior to purchasing these Earth brand boots, my big toes were numb every day. This happened as a result from starting a new job where I was constantly running around on concrete floors for 9+ hours a day in ill-fitting shoes. After one month of wearing these boots, I can tell a significant difference in my toes. They are not 100% back to normal, but they are much better than they have been in a while. I also LOVE my socks! I wish I had a pair to wear every single day. In combination with my boots, these work wonders for my feet. I only wish I had heard of this store sooner. This was a joyous shopping experience, and I am not the world's biggest shopping fan. I don't know how Darcy has such an amazing eye for beautiful and unbelievably comfortable shoes and clothes, but there was almost nothing in that store I didn't want to buy. The shoes are $100+, but they are the kinds of shoes you will wear 5 days a week for the next 5 years and still love, so they're actually pretty darn cheap. Dana was so much fun to work with, and I can't wait until my wallet recovers so I can go back again. The boots that are coming in for fall are about the coolest things I've ever seen.
