Yes I am a guy and yes I get pedicures. I walk outside without shoes a lot and usually my feet are horrible. Jennifer takes care of my feet and whips them back into shape. I usually get the spa package for around $50 which seems great to me. I have tried a few other places but Elite / Jennifer gets the job done better than anywhere else I have gone. I always like to try out different nail salons because I have yet to find consistency in my nail services. This place was definitely not "Elite" as the name suggests. I first walk in to miserable heat, no a/c- just a door propped open. I was able to get seated right away. The man that did my nails could have been new or just inexperienced, because he took his precious time. It was agonizingly slow. I only needed a fill and it took about an hour and 45 minutes- which could've been ok if he tried to make conversation. At one point he messed up and got another nail tech to fill in. No one spoke to me, except to tell me to wash my hands- so it was just an uncomfortable/awkward experience. Once he was done, I was expecting an amazing job. The nail color was great, but the polish was applied way to thick and I had a chip in my polish less than 20 minutes later. Not a great experience! read more

Elite nail and spa in Ashburn (on old Ashburn road) nothing at all Elite about this place. As already mentioned in one of the other posts the owners and other technicians use old files over and over again and they rush the customers to get the next one in the chair. They reuse the files (Emory boards) on all customers even when the file is looking dull and filthy. Plus, the tools they use to trim the cuticles are also filthy and not sterilized. My first time there I saw the man take the clippers from his draw, wipe with cotton and use on customer only to then put it back in draw. I asked "are these things suppose to be washed and sterilized". He looked at me as if I didn't know what is was asking. My last and final time there, I saw the same thing with dirty, used emoryboards, unsanitized nail clippers coming out of drawers and not from the steriled oven as with other establishment. The floors are dirty, the wax room is small hot and also dirty; they use the same stick to stir the wax as used on previous customers instead of using new ones. Better business bureau or whomever give this place their license need to investigate this place and either fine them until they clean up the practice or shutdown this business before they give their customer pathogenic diseases. Do not go here- find a better, cleaner place because this is NOT ELITE.. read more

Expect to pay competitive prices for shoddy work. The woman who did my nails was more interested in talking to the manicurist sitting next to her than in paying attention to my nails. Result she end up clipping my nails way too short and spoiling my manicure. She also cut my cuticles too close and I end up bleeding. Additionally, the service here is rude and unprofessional. I agree, that extremely talkative loud woman doing very good job killing people's nails. She is very rude an unprofessional. She screwed my nais so they came out sticky and wrinkly, and when she had to redo them she got really mad and ugly, yelling and throwing things around. Big voice. Very negative. I don't understand why manager-owner tolerates her. Gel-nails she did were broken at the very next day, so I had to pay the same amount in the different place. Bad experience. I have always gone to Ashburn Nails, but this place blows Ashburn Nails out of the water. I now come only to Elite! The staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make sure their customers are happy. They also are really good about remembering you (one lady even told me she will sometimes write down the colors that her customers choose so that she can remember the next time they come in), and they made sure I felt comfortable and not silly when I completely forgot how to use the light for my gel manicure :P silly me. Just moved to the area and it has been hard to find a good, affordable and clean nail salon. Happy to have found this place off Yelp. It's located across wine'ing butcher, in the 711 plaza. I came in for a mani and pedi, was greeted and sat in a massaging chair, with bubbling hot water waiting for me. Anh, my tech, was very thorough and worked diligently. UPDATE: I received a reply from Elite following my first review and was offered a refund, but in exchange they wanted me to remove my initial review. Although I appreciated that they offered the refund, it felt like they were bribing me to remove the review. I did not feel they offered the refund out of genuine concern for my experience. A refund should not have strings attached to it. I would have appreciated if they took more responsibility for their customer's experiences and apologized. I do not feel that their request for me to remove my review in exchange a refund was ethical. People rely on honest feedback when selecting service providers, and readers should not have to rely on manufactured yelp ratings. Therefore, I have provided an update to my review instead. I was looking forward to coming here due to the positive reviews. I needed to get an acrylic fill with gel color and my usual nail tech was not available. Also, I'm always up to try new places is search for someone even better. I was left very disappointed. I asked for a French gel mani on top of the acrylic fill and Peter was done in 30 minutes. I am used to an hour+ for this kind of service. This is way too fast to come out well done. I asked for a square shape, but one side of the nails was square and the other side was rounded. The white nail polish was very uneven and jagged. And when I asked him to correct the shape, he tried but it still looked bad. I felt totally rushed and was disappointed at paying $35 for this. Went home and redid them myself. If you are not picky with the shape and plan on getting all over color, you may be more satisfied. read more

I had previously posted a negative review about this spa. My technician, Ann has terrible customer service, was disinterested and rude and just couldn't be bothered to be friendly or courteous. No eye contact, no greeting, nothing!! Following this, Peter the manager posted a message offering me a free manicure. I decided to give them another chance. He said it would affect their business. When I arrived, Peter could not even remember that I had made an appointment directly with him 2 days earlier. Looks like they don't even check their schedule! Before I was seated he said something to the other staff, in his language and they all looked up at me. Ann, gave me an arrogant look and looked away. At the very least Peter should have asked her to apologize for her poor service. I have no idea what he said and that in itself is very rude. The manicure he gave me was just OK. It was obviously something he wanted to get through quickly. As I was leaving, I told him that I wanted to give him his tip. He was attending to some issue with the water settings and was bent down near a wall. Half turning his head, he tells me to leave it on his desk. Not a word of thanks!! So definitely I will not be going back to this spa. They have no idea of good customer service. There are many nail spas in Ashburn and I'm sure I'll find one that is much more decent. I found Elite unexpectedly, and couldn't have been happier! I was cancelled (with an appointment) on with no notice one evening from another nail salon in Sterling, and decided to just rely on Googling "nail salons in Ashburn" and called Elite to see if they could fit me in. It was around 7pm, and with them closing at 8pm, I wasn't hopeful that I could get in. The gentleman I spoke with (Peter) was extremely helpful and decided to squeeze me in before they closed. He gave me directions to the salon, greeted me upon entering, got to know me and what style I like for my nails, and did a great job! My husband and I recently moved to Ashburn and I was looking for a place to get my nails done that was close to the house. I stumbled upon Elite Nails. I called and made an appointment for a Monday evening after work. When I arrived the salon was not very crowded but there were only 3 employees that were present that were already busy doing manicures and pedicures. I used the restroom and when I came out one of the ladies had already drawn the water for my pedicure... I sat there for 30 minutes while she finished the woman who had arrived before me. The point of an appointment is so that they can be properly staffed, or if there is a walk in they should have to wait until after the individuals with the appointment. I have become a regular client there and have developed a rapoire (sp?) with the staff. Their prices are reasonable and competitive and their selection of quality nail colors is extensive. The two things about Elite Nails Spa that have impressed me the most are: 1) the salon is immaculate, and 2) the staff doesn't go on & on in private conversations in a foreign language.
