I really wanted this place to be awesome, as I walked in it felt busy and super professional. However, that was not the case ; the women were rude following my pedicure as my large toenail was smudged which she claimed I did and she wasn't willing to fix it. She also became irate when I asked my nail shape be more square than round, and started talking aggressively to the employee next to her.(probably about me at least that's how I felt.) The nails from this place are anything but cute. I'm not the type to leave bad reviews, but this place was not cutting it. The service was prompt and the staff was generally friendly, but that is the only good thing I have to say. Their website states that acrylics start at $40, and I was getting a single regular old color, nothing fancy, so I expected a max of $60... they ended up charging me $75 for bumpy acrylic, uneven lengths, and the acrylic was not placed far enough back, so they already looked grown out. Had nails done and they mixed up the colors. I decided to just proceed because I was already having a bad experience. The girl doing my nails did not even put lotion on me. The workers make up their own prices. I get a different tech each time and my fill normally ranges between $35-$50, this time it was $70. Why? Not to mention, one nail is completely crooked. I had a horrible experience here. First while I was receiving my pedicure the nail tech couldn't even try to hide her disgust of how my feet looked. She loudly pushed me into paying more for my pedicure where other customers were looking over and listening to our conversation. I have multiple cuts all over my feet from her cutting my skin accidentally. As for my manicure I asked for a dip and received gel. Within a matter of a few hours of leaving the salon the paint on my nails began to peel off.. to preface the entire nail peeling off like a sticker. I would rate this place zero and that's being generous. The people that work there were rude from the manager at the front door all the way to my tech. No smiles anywhere they want to rush you through like a factory. The pedicure I received was very poorly done. Nails were uneven, and the tips weren't painted. If it took 25 minutes, I'm being very giving. At first, we were rushed the minute we stepped in hurry hurry hurry, and we said we need a minute to pick out a color and they just pointed to a wall in a little alcove and said over there no help no suggestions no working with you. We had requested seashell colors that we had gotten in Illinois. They swore when we asked them a few days before that they had that. No such thing. If I wanted anything, it was cat size and it was $20 over the price of the pedicure. I took a step up in the pedicure because of I wanted a hot towel. Oh I got the hot towel one over both legs. One checking out your technician asks you whether you want her tip on your card or not. Very rude. Tips should be offered not requested. We had recently moved to Lake Geneva and we're looking to have a permanent nail place that we could count on. This isn't it. Save your money go elsewhere. None of the professional things that are done in Illinois or in shops in North Carolina are not done here. They haven't a clue! read more

Whoa, this place was packed in a Sunday! I had never been, and I didn't know what to expect...The space is large, maybe a dozen pedicure chairs and 15 manicure spots. On this Sunday, everything was full. I did not have an appointment, and I was told 15-20 minute wait. I said sure and they took me to a chair. Once in the chair, I went through two full massage cycles on the chair, 20 minutes each, before anyone got to me. The wait time was very underestimated, and I was not alone in that false quote. The woman next to me actually gave up her spot after 40 minutes in favor of one of her friends who still had not been seated. It was awkward and no one apologized to her. Once the pedicure started, it took 24 minutes...no fluff for the basic pedicure. It was definitely basic. Also, I don't like my toes cut, only filed, she had a hard time dropping the clippers, that was frustrating to me. If you are looking for a spa experience, this is not it. If you just need a color change, I would say this place works for that. read more

I got a brand new full set in mid October, last week was my third fill for this set. The girl doing my nails kept telling me that my acrylics were very thin and I needed new ones...I told her these were still new and she could make them thicker if she felt necessary. She ignored me. She kept looking at and examining my nails with a judgmental look and telling me how thin they were throughout the entire fill. I told her to please make them thicker if she felt they needed to be--again, ignored. I've already had one nail break and another one the polish chipped even though it's no-chip and it's been less than a full week since the fill. Will not be back. Editing to add: I went to a different nail salon after the polish chipped on a second nail after only having these nails for a week, they told me that my acrylics were not too thin at all, they just did the bare minimum with my previous fill. read more

Clean. Typical Prices. Taylor was good pedicure. Read mixed reviews on Yelp. Decided to try. Made an appointment, since Saturdays are busy at any nail salon. Made a pedicure appointment for 2:30 & arrived on time. Manager acknowledged me & prepped chair for me right away. I sat soon after, then waited for about 5-10min before staff was available to do my pedicure. Taylor was kind, took her time to give me a quality Deluxe Pedicure ($40), despite it being 3pm & closing at 6 (long day, towards to end of her shift). I let her do her thing & didn't say much, just watched. I do not like electric file, it's too strong. Other than requesting that change, all other steps in my pedicure were done with care & paid attention to well. I asked for an additional coat 3 of white paint & she complied without pushback (like some salons). Will go back again. As with most places, depends on who you get & the quality of service & focus they have when working on you. read more

If I could I would rate my experience a 0 starts they where very un professional. The workers were smacking eachother bottom infront of people. When he was filing my acrylic nails I could feel my real nail lifting and my hand would tense up the person would hit my hand and tell me to relax! The vibe could have been better I felt a negative vibe from the minute I walked in, they rushed my nails and we payed $80 for nails that arent shaped correctly and look chunky. I kept getting dirty looks from the workers. They were not respectful and I would not recommend these nails were not worth it and won't be going back! I love this place!! I am used to small salons that always have wait times. It was refreshing to just walk in with my mother and sister in law and we got in right away! I also showed them a Pinterest photo and they did it perfectly! We also thought they were priced very fairly. My parents live on the lake and I was visiting the area. I needed a manicure and stopped in here. I have the same thing done on my nails every week. I've never had a nail salon mess up so badly. It's very straightforward - one coat of polish. Unfortunately, the polish kept separating while drying (see photos). This is likely because they didn't thoroughly remove the cuticle oil (most places use a paintbrush to strip your nails following cuticle oil and lotion). I had them re-do a few nails that were really bad but I didn't have time to sit through another manicure. Disappointing to say the least. I won't be back. read more

I loved getting my eyebrows waxed here until yeaterday. They were really busy on a Saturday and I knew the lady waxing my eyebrows didnt really want to be doing it, so she pretended to do it!! I'm sorry, but you can't pretend to wax eyebrows. I look horrible and am in pain!! She burned both my eyelids and I had to go back and complain and get my money back. AND the craziest part of it all was when I looked at my eyebrows after I had left the first time, they looked the same as they did when I went in there!! She never actually waxed them!!! Unfortunately my nail technician didn't seem very confident with dip powder (it seems like the salon really pushes gel polish, which is fine, but not what I wanted) or doing tips under my dip. My set only lasted 5 days before three fingers popped off. When I took the others off it was evident that the tech used a bit too much glue. Both thumbs and Pointer finger tips had glue dried and caked in the nail fold. I will admit it was disappointed when the older man who runs the front desk came up to my nail tech, started speaking in a different language, and shaking his phone at her pointing out what time it was. Pros: fast. Had dip and pedicure and was done in less than 1.5 hr. Cons: the tech did a good job on my nails, but unfortunately used a dremel on my cuticles leaving 8 of my fingers raw and bleeding. Very painful. Two days later and they're still inflamed and hurting. Tech that did my pedicure was very unfriendly and rude... acted like I was inconveniencing him. In order to get their clients done quickly, they run them thru like cattle. Does not make for a relaxing, pleasant experience. I won't go back and would not recommend Cute Nails to anyone. read more

Beware! The salon looks nice and the staff is great, except for the manager. Rude and Unprofessional! We had 8 services mani and pedis for the family. My mother's pedicure left her with a dry skin; they had to redo it before we even walked out. In less than 24 hours a French manicure was beginning to chip. To add insult to injury, After my pedicure, my toe swelled up. When I went to tell them what occurred at their establishment, I was ignored. The man in the front walked away mumbling that it was a hang nail! He came back over to me and tried to touch my toe with his nail and say it was like this before the service. Ok fir starters I have been getting my nails done for. 13 years ! I went last week here to get my nails done and they are alll lifting already and hurt ! My real nails are destroyed ! Also they charged me 120 for a solid pink color and didn't even do the shape I had asked for ! I just had the WORST experience at Cute Nails Lake Geneva. I have acrylics and one broke, I went into cute nails, knowing they are quick and do a good job. I went in and was taken care of immediately. The girl I was with was a Mexican girl was on her phone taking a call the whole time kind of annoying but whatever. Then she takes the polish off of my broken nail and continues taking the polish off my next finger. I told her no I just need the broken one fixed. (Mind you now I have a broken nail and half the polish off of another. This lady begins to move to another finger to take off polish and I remind her that it's just my one finger. She called over a manager and then had me moved to another person. I get to the new girl and she begins cutting off my acrylics off of me. So now I have two nails being repaired instead of the one I came in with. Now comes time to pay and I am paying for all two nails. When I asked why all two when I came in with one broken nail they told me that they fixed them so I have to pay. Never going back again! read more

I called in advance on a Monday morning and when I got there, I was seated right away. Peter did my manicure and pedicure, I was really pleased. He took great care and did my nails exactly like I asked. I have natural nails and I use regular polish so I can't really review Gel, fills etc. I felt the salon was clean and comfortable. I was torn between giving one or two stars. Initially I was going to give two, because my nails DO look fine. But the entire experience was just so terrible that they deserve one star. To start with, as a previous Yelper mentioned, the sample nails at the front do NOT match the actual polishes with the same numbers. I chose a beautiful light gray, and when they opened the bottle, it was bubblegum pink. I stopped my nail tech and said I wanted gray, and he said to go look on the wall. I asked another employee if they had gray, because I was having a very hard time finding the right color on a wall of a hundred polishes, and they sort of just shrugged me off. I finally settled on a dusty rose color after never finding my preferred color, and proceeded with my manicure. The tech I got seemed so incredibly grumpy and unhappy to be there. He pulled and shoved my fingers, hands, and arms around so aggressively, I was stunned. When painting my nails, he would hold my fingers in a death grip and twist them, very nearly to the point of pain. When I would try to shift to relieve the discomfort, he would grumble to not move. I'm a makeup artist, and would never DREAM of handling a client in such a manner. Will never step foot back in this salon. read more

I normally go to my hometown one in Chicago, but since it's such a drag going all the way down there just to get a manicure and pedicure and I figured I needed to find one here in Lake Geneva to call home, so today I decided to give it a go, and get gel nails done and I would have to say I am absolutely in love! This time they took hours, didn't have time to do my design when I came in hours before work, told me to come back for it the next day. They said 30 mins would be plenty of time, so I came with 45. The design took an hour and 15 mins! 20 of which was wasted with showing me a technique I didn't want because it was "more fun".
