Beware of this place. We have taken several cars here but will never come back again. Took my new car here to have 2 front windows to be tinted. Never had a problem before, this time there were bubbles in the film. I got some lame excuse that they can't prevent things from flying around that can get in the film , so they would only fix one window but couldn't guarantee the work. The front counter co-owner is rude as hell seemed bothered I even asked for them to fix their work. She has no business working with the public and needs a reality check that patrons like myself keep them in business. Without us you wouldn't have a business at all. Remember that!!! Update (because you cant do a second review). The Excursion tint still looks brand new, and the ceramic was the correct choice. Does a fantastic job of blocking the heat as well as the sun. Now for the reason I am writing this update, we took a second vehicle there. I feel nothing really says more about a business than if they get repeat customers or not. Since this place isnt like a restaurant that most would frequent often I wanted to let anyone that was interested know that after almost 2 years we did choose to go to this shop again to get our Subaru done. There was no tint on the windows and the kids were all complaining about the heat. We werent sure if they were just being overly sensitive or not until we sat in the back for quick trips. They werent lying. Even with the AC the back was hot and uncomfortable. We knew we had to get it tinted and needed it done soon. I called Cutting Edge and they were able to fit me in on a weekend. I was advised before hand my car would be done in between other jobs and while it would get done that day, I wasnt given an exact two hour window. I was just happy they could get me in that day. Not 3 hours later they were done (before the time frame they estimated for me). Drinks were stocked in the waiting room (and free). The wifi was fast (and also free). All in all an incredibly positive experience. For what its worth there will be another update soon. My wife bought a used F250 with too dark of a tint on it. We are going to have them remove it/replace with ceramic. I'll let you all know how it goes. But understand my wife is a Texas girl and loves her truck. Trusting it to anyone is huge, so if nothing else know that trust speaks more about this place and their work than I ever could. read more

Three stars for the first three cars they did well. Took my truck to them a few months ago. A minor imperfection I was willing to overlook because it was in a not so obvious spot. One small crease at the bottom of a roll down window. Most recently I had to make an appointment weeks out because they were booked solid. Found another place to do it more quickly. When I called to cancel with a couple days notice, they did not want to refund the $100 deposit. Not a big deal, I understand refund policies but they wouldn't even hold the money for future service. Just beware when you make a deposit here, it's not refundable. I would have hoped my repeat business would give me some flexibility. I'm so happy with my window tinting! The owner and his gf are super nice. My husband got his truck done here as well. They did his truck in about 40 minutes it was super fast. My Rav 4 was about an hour but I have more windows. The waiting room is cozy and has complimentary pop & Netflix so what more do you need? I just really liked the owner and his gf and how thorough they explain options without being pushy. About a month ago I came here to get my windows tinted because I was just dang tired of getting sub burned while driving. NEVER in my life did I EVER wanted to get my windows tinted. I always thought it was a complete waste of money just to make your car look "cool". Well, everything changed when I moved to NV and endured several burns. This place was recommended by one of my super picky friends. I came by a few days before, requested a quote, and they were able to get me in the very next day. The process literally took less than an hour (45mins or so). I have a 2 door sports car and there was 2 people working on it. I paid extra for the ceramic material (which does not absorb heat) and I will say it's totally worth it (it was an extra $100)! As of right now I have no complaints at all. So my wife has been bugging me to get the windows tinted on her 4Runner for awhile now...you know, because she has to look cool and stealthy! I finally decided to surprise her and get them done, but where could I find a reputable place that doesn't leave it looking like bubbles on the side of a fish tank? Oh I know! I'll Yelp it! Being the skeptical yet optimistic person that I am (yes I know...that makes sense!), I read all the reviews and then decided to drive on over and see for myself. Kudos to the previous reviewers as they were spot on! The owner (Greg) met me right when I walked in and I told him what I was looking for. Now mind you my wife wanted to go all out...BUT...there is a certain level of tint you can go and remain legal, at least in Nevada. Greg was kind enough to show me all the different levels as well as finished product on cars in the parking lot. Now the question remains...how Joe Cool (Peanuts reference anyone?) do I want to go. Well the mature self (no really, don't laugh) got the better of me and went as far as we can go and remain legal in Nevada. I was able to leave the car there (around 11) and pick it up at 4:30, which I didn't think was too bad considering I didn't make an appointment. When I picked it up I was impressed! It's a little bit embarrassing; I lived in Las Vegas for 9 years and never got my windows tinted. I just dealt with the blazing sun nearly cancelling out my AC and soldiered on. Shortly after my move to Reno, I decided it was time. I found these guys here on Yelp; as you can see, they have a fantastic rating - and it's well-deserved. I called to get an estimate and received a call back within a couple of days; the rep was very friendly, straightforward about pricing, and got me penciled in for an appointment that fit into my schedule. When the day arrived, they took my car back right away at my appointment time. The waiting room is pretty swanky, as far as waiting rooms go; nice overstuffed leather couches, a mini-fridge stocked with free soda, and a TV with Netflix to watch while you hang out. Not that you'll be spending too much time there; I was told that the job would take 2.5 hours; I was out of there in just over one. The employees there were super nice, and answered all the questions I had to make sure that I got what I wanted. In the end, it's perfect. There are no bubbles or streaks--the job is really super clean--and it keeps the car so much cooler. Add in that there's a lifetime guarantee, and I'm set for the rest of the time I have the car. This is a retrospective review of my past experience with this shop... I've been looking to get a keyless system installed on my 98' 4runner, luckily I found these guys on Facebook and started following them for more insight on their business. They posted a really great deal on remote start/keyless installs and I couldn't pass it up. I called the shop a week before I came in to ask about the deal and maybe setup an appointment. The person I talked to was very helpful. He informed me of what I would be getting with the install. He also offered some upgrades that I can add on for no additional charge. When we got there, we were greeted by the front desk personnel and checked in promptly. He invited us to relax at their waiting room, which if I may so, rivals some docotor's/dentist's offices. There's a couch there for you to sit at, games and toys for the little ones and since we were the only ones there, we had free reigns of their video streaming services and TV. There's also a fridge there filled with refreshments. For the actual work. I bought the basic remote start system that will sufficiently work with my truck. They never tried to sell me up to the more expensive kits which is a plus. The person I talked to over the phone asked if I would like to upgrade the transmitter to an extended range version free of charge. Sign me up! It's been over a year now with my kit and everything is still working perfectly. I would definitely consider them first for future related work. Seeing people's reactions to my truck starting without anyone in it is priceless lol. read more

This is an update on June 2017. Original review at the bottom: I went back to this company because as seen below, they did a fabulous job on our home window tinting almost 2 years ago. This time I wanted to put a ceramic film on the windows of our new Tesla which has so much glass, it is like a greenhouse on wheels and sucks in all the heat from the sun! As I learned from Greg and others, smoked glass doesn't mean that it blocks the infrared and UV from coming in and cooking everything inside. So to reduce the heat and keep the UV from damaging the interior leather and other materials, I wanted a clear ceramic film to block those rays. And I am not going to trust work on a car this expensive to just anyone. As expected, these guys did a terrific job at a reasonable price. I can't see where the film ends on the windows. Also, this is an especially difficult car to put film on the windows. More difficult than any other car, yet the end result is perfect. These folks are always going to be my "go to" company for any type of tinting or clear film. Thanks Greg and team for beautiful work. I am no longer suffering from heat in the Tesla and the range is greater due to less need for air conditioning. ORIGINAL REVIEW: 2015 I called these guys last weekend and they indicated someone would come see our home on Monday about estimating home window tinting, but no one showed up. It seems the information never got to the estimator. After calling back, they scheduled a person to come out the next day. Dan, our estimator (and window film installer) was a nice courteous man whom was thorough and spent as much time as we needed to make a selection from the many samples he had. Dan was informative and had good suggestions. Apparently he has been doing this for a VERY LONG time. The price was right so we told him to order the film. Within a week, he was back to do the job on all South facing windows and sliding door. FABULOUS job and he finished in a few hours. It's practically impossible to notice there is any film on the windows which is what we wanted. We chose a light film mainly to cut out the sun's UV and infrared to prevent damaging the furniture and reduce the heat coming through the window. Greg tinted my windows and installed remote start on my dodge. The windows look perfect and make my car look so much better! The remote start is already a life saver with winter coming! My key fob does not have the remote start button but he went over my options and made sure I had the option that I most preferred.
