I wanted to give a fair but honest review of my experience with CV Dental Care in Canton Vista. Initially, the staff was very friendly, welcoming, and professional. That first impression honestly made me want to move forward with them. Scheduling was smooth, and they were generally good about getting me in around my appointment time during the earlier visits. However, things started to fall apart when it came to pricing transparency. I went in for permanent implants (I already have existing dentures), and after my initial consultation, I was quoted around $51,000, which was nearly $20,000 higher than other places I had visited. Because of that, I decided not to move forward at first. Afterward, I received multiple calls and texts from their office, and we eventually negotiated a price. We verbally agreed, and they confirmed via text to a flat $32,000, and this included anesthesia. That number was in line with other quotes I had received, so I felt comfortable moving forward and scheduled a follow-up appointment to finalize everything, sign the contract, and make a payment. This is where my experience took a turn. I waited about 20 minutes past my appointment time, and while they did eventually acknowledge the delay, it wasn't until I had already been waiting for a while. During the contract process, they increased the anesthesia cost by an additional $3,500, even though anesthesia had already been included in the agreed-upon $32,000 total. After some back-and-forth, I reluctantly agreed to a revised total of $35,500 just to move things forward. Then things became even more concerning. The billing assistant left the room multiple times and came back with yet another change, an additional $2,500 for a zirconia upgrade. This was especially frustrating because zirconia was the only option we had discussed from the beginning and was part of the original plan. It appeared to have been removed from the revised contract, only to be added back in as an upcharge. At that point, the total had climbed about $6,000 above what we had already agreed upon verbally and via text. That lack of consistency and transparency didn't sit right with me, and I ultimately decided to walk away without moving forward. Overall, the staff was kind and the office made a great first impression, but the repeated pricing changes and lack of clear, consistent communication during the contracting process were too concerning for me to ignore. read more

When I called to make an appointment I told them what service I was wanting I gave them my insurance information and ID number snd was told they accepted it. When I got there they scanned my insurance card and I also wrote all the information on the check in paperwork. After a 1 hour appointment I was told they didn't accept my insurance. This office is a joke and shouldn't be open. My son contracted herpetic mouth ulcers covering his tonsils. Each sore was similar to a canker sore. The ulcers lasted 14 days. I took my son into the dentist to have them take a look and prescribe him medicine. While waiting 45 mins in the dental chair, the assistant came in typed on keyboard and proceeded to open the sterile package of instruments UNGLOVED. I said you know this is how patients get sick right? By doing what you just did. I said you just opened the sterile instruments with your ungloved hands. She didn't care. In the room next to us the assistant opened and set out all sterile instruments on the tray and didn't cover them while they waited for the next patient. That was all I could take!! We walked out and will never return! I worked as a dental assistant for 10 years and i would never dream of doing this to one of my patients. If an elderly patient gets sick from things such as this and ends up in the hospital, the chance that they will ever return home decreases. Unacceptable!!!! If you ever decide to go to this office, just know that you are not getting a clean, sterile environment. BEWARE! read more

Very, very disturbed by Sarah.. bad customer service is endemic to Atizona... just fundamentally bad work ethic. But this girl calls me no less than 5 times. I even have texts from the office. I have 2 questions for her and she promises to get back to me. If she had had half the rigor with which she was bothering me in the first place, I would have had the answer the next day. Instead she forgets all about me and 11 days later I call and she tries to disconnect, knowing she dropped the ball. Then she gets all faux-apologetic but doesn't really accept ANY responsibility. She tried to say that my questions were too hard and were going to take time to answer, but that I still should have had an answer. The truth is she just didn't pursue anything because she couldn't be bothered. She then frebly lies and says she put a note on the desk and never 'heard back'..... How does it take ELEVEN FUCKING DAYS TO ANSWER if they would be willing to use a great lab out of Chicago, and if they have financing to truly cover the 30-40k. 30 to 40k for implants. This office pockets no less than 20k of that money. More if 40k. Like 25kplus. I know because I called the lab and asked. She never bothered to follow up. How in the hell can I trust an office to pull 17 remaining teeth and do temp arches and full arches oh yeah and implants with abutments if they can't even respond back in a timely manner. Sara should lose her job. Anyone who puts a note on my desk but doesn't follow up for 11 days would get fired in my office. For sure. What in the hell is wrong with you people? I have not had a great dentist since childhood. How do young age I fell and broke my teeth and I've had to have ridges in the front ever since. My teeth have been a constant embarrassment for me over the years and as I would go to Dentist after Dentist I was just never happy with what they told me, so I haven't been for a very long time. I met Johnna through our business organization networking group and she talked so highly of Dr. Bigler and the staff and everything about Canyon Vista, that I really couldn't imagine that they were all that good. No one is that good. Then I went and met Dr. Bigler and the staff and I have to say this is the best dentist office I have ever been in. (Since my childhood Dentist). Tom, the dental hygienist I have been seeing for years, is always friendly and takes the time to listen to my attempted humor and I even made him laugh a couple of times. My husband and I have gone to this office for dental care for several years. We have had excellent care great service from the office staff until I received a bill seven months after having a crown done and paying my copay there was an additional fee for over 500$. Ashley the billing person gave my husband and I several different stories what the charge was for. Finally after contacting a person in charge of billing we found out what the charge was for. I feel if you are going to be in charge of billing you should know your stuff!!! Also when I called dental office asking for person in charge I got the run around. We are sad to say we are not going back there because of incompetence in the billing department. read more

I thought my appointment would be several hours and it was right at one hour. I had absolutely no pain. I had a great experience here at Canyon Vista Dental, my hygienist Tom did a nice job, I learned I needed more dental work than I have ever had before! I set up a time to Meet with Dr. S and he did a great job making me feel comfortable, I had a crown and multiple cavities filled, I have zero discomfort and they look and feel great. Karen upon arrival and departure was truly amazing, she advanced the process of getting in to accommodate my busy new schedule and was so genuine! So thank you very much for a great experience, I appreciate it. I am in a helpful contract program in which I receive x4 teeth cleanings, etc.. On December 2017 I paid for the service in cash for 2018. Thus, I would receive Periodontal Maintenance; x4 cleanings (every 3 months)per year. Of course, my appointments were made in advance before I received my paid service. Thus, my last appointment; the 4th one was made for 12/2018. Before I went to my last (4th) appointment, I called the office to verify the date for my last service. The front desk staff reminded me. Thank you. I wrote the date. Later, Staff left me a phone message requesting me to verify my next appointment. However, the date was earlier than the original set date. It would have been nice if there was consistency or staff could have asked me to set another date first rather than make another appointment without notifying me first. Also, upon receiving my last dental service on December 11, 2018, I requested to be allowed to wait for January 2019 so I could renew the same program plus pay in cash for the future services. Front staff told me that if I didn't renew it (12/11/2018) that I would have to pay for the service I had just received when I had already paid for the services on 2017. Thus, the front staff said that the cleaning that I received was the 5th & if I didn't 'renew my contract, I would have to pay for the service received. This confused & bothered me! Thus, I had proof that I paid for 2018 services in cash on 2017 & the service received on 12/11/2018 was the 4th one not the 5th & showed her. Front staff said that the contract is based on the date of cleaning not the whole year. I was given a high lighted paper of their records & an explanation also. I said, If I had known this I would have made the service appointment for December 30, 2018, then I could renew my contract or not. I requested to discuss the issue with the expert staff that handles the finances. Front staff informed me that they are 'equally' qualified to handle 'all' financial issues. Thus, I insisted to talk to an expertise. Luckily, a expert staff discussed the issue with me & verified that December 11, 2018 service was my 5th. It was not! Once again I showed the proof that I paid 2018 contract service on 2017 that entitles me x4 cleanings, etc. The business did not have a copy of the proof I showed them that they had given me in the past. I am glad that I saved my paperwork. To continue, I was given (from the expert) until January 10, 2019 to renew & pay for a new contract. Thank you! However, it was mentioned to me that December 11, 2018 service (according to the expert) would be null and void but still insisted it was my 5th service. It was my 4th! Then, front staff requested that I sign my new contract for 2019. This bothered me more. I was given until 1/10/2019 to renew my contract but front staff wanted me to 'sign' the contract before 2019. Wow! I thought that maybe I should cease any future services. I reminded staff of the 2019 agreement & me not signing the new contract was honored. Point of information: I began receiving services since 2016 & I noticed that some business staff is either transferred to another location or they downsize. I would guess since diverse staff has diverse styles, etc., in work habits, etc., that there might be room for staff error. Thus, I suggest that customers save all paperwork & when in doubt, be assertive & ask questions. Happily, my doc. is Stanton & he has always treated me with respect, dignity & never pressured me to make any decisions plus most staff have provided me with professional services. That, said, since no one is perfect & errors occur sometimes, I am thankful for most of the services received. I do hope that staff admit to themselves, & customers of their errors & make improvements. NO ONE IS PERFECT! 'Every life challenge is an opportunity for growth.' read more

I was in the office to my crown glued back on I really needed a new dentist and thought they were going to be the ones they were close to home easy to get to. However I was very disappointed when I gave him my crown to glue back in he broke it he went ahead and glued it back together and it lasted a few days I went back in and asked if he could make it right he was very unprofessional and he just told me it was all my fault I would never recommend this dentist. read more
