Had a appointment set this morning at 8:45am. Minute clinic located on Ward Ave across the street from Ohana Hale. First of all got there a little early no problem they took me in and explained what to except and the process. I swabbed my two nostril with the Q-tip and the representative advised me that someone will call within 2-3 hours. Actually someone called me back within 30 mins that was very quick and efficient. I tested negative yippee, but I gave this location a 5 star rating because everyone was helpful and knowledgeable. I recently came back from a trip so that's why I decided to get a test to make sure I don't have Covid19. Be safe and wear your mask

First time at this location since I had to pick up a few essentials. I parked and walked across the street from Ohana Market place to check to see if they have the items in stock. I did not know at first they have their own parking but since I was already in the area, I might as well walk lol. It's smaller than what I expected however, there was less foot traffic and it's not as crowded compared to other CVS/Longs locations. The layout is a little confusing at first that I got lost (and distracted). I could not find the pharmacy section which is located at back far left corner of the store. Even though the store is clean and somewhat spacious, they tend to be a out of stock on some medications which is understandable at this time. It's a very convenient grab and go store that you could do self check outs. There are employees around that area if you need any assistance checking out items or have any questions.

This is my go-to CVS store because it's located near me on Ward. I love this place because it's relatively new, and they offer great sales from time to time. Additionally, you can get discounts on your CVS card, points, etc. One thing to keep in mind though, is that the pharmacy takes a break from 1:30-2 PM. So if you need to pick up your medication, try to avoid this time. Other than that, I don't really have anything negative or positive to say about this place

(Living w/Covid Series) Longs on Ward Ave is one of their newer locations. I was in the neighborhood leaving my friendly local dive shop and found out that this Longs had disinfectant wipes in stock. The Ward location's layout reminds me of the old location on South King St, across from Old Stadium park, where Ross's is now. Enter the second floor parking from Halekauwila St. There is an elevator that leads directly to the store. To cope with these Covid times, masks and social distancing is required. Found the wipes (mahalo Yeep Lisa M!), paid for them, and got out quickly. No muss, no fuss. Just because of its distance from my place, I probably won't patronize this location heavily, but it's a good resource if I need something when I'm in the neighborhood! Recommend!

Not all CVS/Longs are alike:\ PROS: 1) Ample parking in the structure 2) I can walk to the store and back 3) New and Clean 4) Self Check Out stations available 5) Expanded selection of make up, skin care and personal items CONS: 1) Lack of inventory (don't try to get sale items because they will more than likely be out; and I don't mean COVID select items) 2) Poor communication by Long's staffers (and I've been to this location at least 24 times so far and it has not improved) 3) Their shelf layout throughout the store does NOT follow the typical CVS/Longs footprint They have prepared foods for lunch or snack in the reefers. Please double check the pull date before purchasing. OK, that said, sometimes, one needs to look past the shortcomings, do your shopping and get it. It's that simple! PS- During COVID times; ALL sales are final; so be judicious with your purchasing

Shopping in Kaka'ako, Honolulu, Hawaii... I was at Ohana Hale Marketplace when I saw Longs Drugs Store across the street. Longs (aka CVS) is a standard Hawaii institution. Many people faithfully look at the Sunday ad and do their shopping based on the great weekly sales. When I saw this new Kaka'ako location (on the Ground Level of a condominium), I wanted to check it out. I heard that it has its own parking garage (since the parking in this area is limited) - and... yes! Enter the covered parking garage from Halekauwila Street! Nice! This Longs seems a bit smaller than others. However, I still found the item I wanted and used the self-checkout easily. Service was really friendly! As I browsed around, a cheerful worker approached me and asked if I needed help. Wow! She's so productive while dusting the shelves! Now I feel comfortable shopping at this store. I'm more familiar with the layout and won't hesitate to return!

Did you know that the first Longs Drugs opened in Hawai'i in 1954 which was BEFORE Hawai'i achieved Statehood (1959)? Yep, that would mean this drugstore chain has been operating in our Hawaiian islands for over six decades and has most certainly touched the lives of most locals. Their slogan or jingle "Make Longs a Part of Your Day" rings true as one would be hard pressed to find anyone in Hawai'i who has never been into a Longs Drugs. This new Longs Drugs opened in November 2019 and we finally managed to get our first peek the other day. It's located on the street level of Ward Village's Ke Kilohana condominium on Ward Avenue. The residents of this condominium must find this Longs Drugs to be convenient since they can just come downstairs to shop. For visitors, this Longs Drugs has its own parking garage with designated access. We liked the private elevator access from the parking garage into the store which is really convenient to use especially if it's raining or late night.. This store is clean and well-stocked with all the same items that you'd find at other Longs Drugs. Of course, they have their own CVS Pharmacy which we'd consider transferring our prescriptions to as this location is so much closer to our home. There was hardly anyone in this store which made our shopping experience a breeze. This store seems to be set up for fast, easy and convenient shopping. There were several large refrigerators and freezers with various beverages and pre-packaged foods. We didn't use the self service check out since the cashier waved at us to help us. As we were paying for our purchase, I noticed an area where you can conveniently print Passport photos from your phone. We did interact with one of the staff who assisted us with doing a price check on a couple of items. He was friendly and seemed genuinely willing to help. At this new location, we see friendly and helpful service, good inventory levels and value. We'll be back and look forward to transferring our prescriptions to this location.

I've been waiting for this Longs Drugs to open for awhile now! Unfortunately it was a disappointing experience due to poor customer service. The new Longs in Kakaako on Ward Ave. has so many things going for it. It is centrally located and surrounded by tons of high rises. The large space has lots of room and holds a large variety of items to suit a wide variety of needs (snacks, grocery, sundries, etc). The location is clean, bright, and well organized. And, they have a free parking lot. Unfortunately, when my husband asked an employee at the customer service counter about a specific type of battery, he was told, "I don't know. Do you want me to look it up because I am busy? Maybe if I have time later." With so many Longs Drugs locations, it's a shame that this location has poor customer service. While this Longs is much closer and more convenient, we'll go to the Beretania Longs instead because the employees there are so helpful and go the extra mile! Plus, Beretania Longs is open 24/7!

I don't know about you but I like free covered parking, especially when it's raining. I was a few driveways down at Logos and needed a few items here. Nice surprise to see that what I needed was on sale. As you get off the parking elevator, the reef safe sunscreen is close to the door. BIG mahalo for carrying this item to help protect our surrounding corals. Before you purchase the other sunscreen options, educate yourself about the ban that will go into effect. With Chinese New Year just around the corner, it was also a pleasant surprise to see local greeting cards to reflect the occasion. Perfect timing as I was going to mail other Hawai'i treats to my friends on the mainland. Special shout out to Handy! He helped me find the essential oils and diffusers. Super helpful gentleman, just as his name suggests :) oh, and addition to the helpful cashiers, they also have several self check out stations too. Fun, I'd return for sure!

It's all about the little things in life that make the difference. Love seriously love this Longs Drugs. Even though it would probably be classified as a smaller Longs, there are a bunch of little things that cause this Longs to stand out amongst the many others. - Love that the parking for this location is plentiful with large parking spaces, cool and covered. - Love that the aisles in this Longs are wide and easy to navigate. - Even love that the music in this Longs is upbeat and pleasant and not the usual Hawaiian or elevator music found in other locations. Making me feel light footed and happy hearted, I actually started humming along with the music. Kind of making me feel like I was in the middle of a K drama love story, I almost expected the fake decorations inside the store to change to Fall colors! - Love how management for this store is receptive to their clientele and their "needs"; Like when a number of things featured for there grand opening ran out within the first hour, management decided to substitute similar items in. - And of course love the convenient location to my work and my home. Have actually been three times so far and the blessing/firecrackers/grand opening was just yesterday. Yep, I will be back !

I love this new Longs Drugs! It's located in a residential building directly across where Sports Authority used to be, the same footprint where California beach Rock N sushi used to be. Their street address is Halekauwila Street and that's where the parking entrance is but the storefront faces Ward Avenue. Of course anything you is typically beautiful but this Longs Drugs is well laid out with several self checkout stations as well as typical regular check out stations. There's lots of carts and best of all, lots of parking that's free of course. I went to this new Longs Drugs for their grand opening special of $1 to the Diet Cokes. By the time I arrived around 10 a.m. , they were sold out but the manager said to come back in a few days and sure enough I was able to stock up without any problem. Great location, convenient parking, and good layout. Strongly recommend! #63/52 Challenge 2019

It's a place where you can be yourself. I've come to value Pioneer Pantry for what it is. They've been here for 20 years and I'm just noticing for a month or so now in June 2026. I recently relocated jobs and now work in the downtown Honolulu area. After discovering Pioneer Pantry, I feel like its been a good thing to have when you're running late and didn't have breakfast. Its nice to come here and score some breakfast muffins or those bag of chips, or even cold drinks to have during drab office hours during the day. Pioneer Pantry functions like a 7-Eleven with an actual live kitchen in the back. Pioneer Pantry is a small functioning convenience store that carries most things that many people enjoy on a daily basis. On most mornings, I would enter the store running late to the office and stumble through here. I would pick up a couple of items and a cold drink and be on my way. I wasn't sure if the fountain drink machine was operational or not, so I just grabbed a cold bottle from one of their refrigerators. The prices here can be a bit more than other places, but I was in a rush - most days anyway. The overall experience here at the Pioneer Pantry is good and blessed that they are here. It's nice to have them here for those of us who are rushing to work and have this oasis on the way there for breakfast and other necessities. During the early morning though, they are open along with the Wiki Wiki Drive Inn before 8am. During the lunch hours, they are open along with the other restaurants in the Pioneer Plaza food court fully open for business. The ladies in the back of the store are very friendly and are awesome. Small business owners are amazing for sure. I try to stop by every day here to pick up something for breakfast. Knowing my schedule, I tend to sleep in and rush to work anyway and having Pioneer Pantry here to help is a big boost for me. Majority of my experiences here are happy ones and don't intend on changing. For the most part though, it's always nice to have this place here. While people have their Starbucks or McDonald's in the morning, I rely on Pioneer Pantry for my cold morning beverage of choice, which incidentally includes a cold soda with or without ice. Most people love hot or iced coffee to start their day. I prefer cold soda. Not healthy, but its my thing and it's pretty good. The Pioneer Pantry is located inside Pioneer Plaza building on the 1st floor food court. It's physically located at 900 Fort Street Mall in downtown Honolulu. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. It's next to the taco place and the Subway restaurant. As far as parking is concerned, best bet would be either street parking or paid parking garages nearby. If you are like me, public transportation is good and there's a bunch of bus routes that traverse thru the downtown corridor. Pick the ones that stop off at either Bishop Street or Fort Street Mall and walk on over. And of course, there's always Uber and Lyft and even Tauro, if you need their services. For now though, if you work or pass thru downtown Honolulu and don't like what the others are offering you, consider Pioneer Pantry at the Pioneer Plaza building. It's a nice trip here to grab something on the way to work every morning. Or a quick snack for lunch too. Its definitely a lifesaver when you're running late and you can support local businesses too. 5.0 stars for the overall experience. Support local! A+

She is so personable and a joy to speak with. She offers inexpensive breakfast bentos featuring white or fried rice, a fried egg and pieces of Portuguese sausage, bacon or frankfurter. The meat varies. It used to sell for $3 but now costs $4.50 (I think). It's still a deal and the containers are great! (We use them to hold leftovers.) During lunch she sets up an array of entrees ... Honey Walnut shrimp, Beef with Vegetables, Meat Jun, Spicy Chicken, Choi Sum, Vegetable Pancake ... the selection varies by day and she offers two or three starches. A two-choice plate ($9.75) comes with a choice of white rice, fried rice or noodles. You have to go early; she can run out of food by 12:30pm. I usually choose one chicken dish and a vegetable with fried rice or noodles. A co-worker always gets the Honey-Walnut shrimp. It's hard to find a better deal in a plate lunch in downtown Honolulu. Her drinks are "the deal", $1.25, $1.50 and $1.75, for large, larger and humongous. Add in the personable service and you have a winner! Hey, stay away, we don't want any more competition for her food. Highly recommended!

I loved everything about this musubi. Great spam to rice ratio. The only thing that I need is some of my chili spices! Every time I walk inside, there's a strong, unpleasant odor that smells like sewage or fecal matter. It's consistent enough that it doesn't feel like a one-off issue--it's something you notice immediately when you enter the store. At times it seems stronger in certain areas, which makes me wonder if it's coming from plumbing, floor drains, or possibly even outside air getting pulled in. What's frustrating is that this location used to feel like one of the better-run stores on the island. Now, the overall impression is very different. Even if the shelves are stocked and the staff is doing their job, the environment itself really affects the experience of shopping there. What stands out is the comparison with nearby stores like Safeway, which don't seem to have the same issue, even though they serve the same general area. That contrast makes the problem at this location even more noticeable. I hope management takes a serious look at it, because this doesn't feel like a minor cleanliness issue--it feels like an infrastructure or maintenance problem that's been left unresolved for too long. It's a shame, because the store has a lot of potential and used to be a go-to spot.

But the main reason was a previous bad experience that left a bitter taste in my mouth. Earlier in the day I went to the doctor's office for some relief to a cold that I've been battling for about 10 days now. OTC remedies were not doing the trick and I was miserable staying at home not wanting to pass my germs to my colleagues. When asked where I wanted to pick up my medications, I usually go to the one in Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center as I'm in Kaneohe a lot for my part time job. But because I wanted to take the medication immediately and for convenience I selected this store next to Pali Hwy. After my doctor's appointment I made a few errands and just after picking up some lunch I received a text advising my two prescriptions were ready for pick up. I originally had planned on going before my 340pm dentist's appointment that's in the See Dai Doo Building. Howeve, I was desperate for relief so I drove here. To my delight the parking lot was not that congested at 1130am. I immediately found an empty parking stall near the entrance. I made a beeline to their pharmacy where there were about 5 people queuing. All 5 were senior citizens and regardless they all had questions to ask the pharmacy staff, the line moved quickly. When it came to my turn my transaction was quick. Replied to the staff's question by providing my DOB and name, she confirmed my 2 prescriptions. I paid for them and then returned to my car. So why only 4-stars? I'm sure you have noticed the undesirable foot traffic of homeless and the mentally unstable in this area. I have witnessed them many times in the past and today was no different. There was a female who was laying down on the pavement and yelling out loud. So sad to witness such incidents in broad daylight. Overall, this Longs Drugs is clean, bright and well organized with its products and displays. I also appreciate the coupons you receive as there are considerable savings that encourages you for repeat visits within the time frame. I hope the management or landlord of this area can clean up the area so that consumers feel safe to shop at either Long's Drugs or Safeway.
