This location is by far the best pharmacy I've ever been to. I left a message on their app with a question, and to my surprise, they actually called me back within 30 minutes--super efficient! Even though they're always busy whenever I visit, they are always patient in answering my questions. Plus, their new system has made things even faster. I have shopped at this CVS multiple times in the last three years and never met this dude who self claimed himself as a supervisor or manager! When I asked for his name, he removed his badge to hide his name! That's why you won't see his name badge in the photo. He's making a phone call to the police department because I asked him to follow the company policy for photo services - which is you only pay for the ones you will take, not all the ones that you print from the Kodak machine! I talked to the CVS complaint, Customer Relations Department, they confirmed that they have violated company policy for photo services! He made such a big drama when he could do his job correctly the first time .. I told him I would purchase nine photos only. He told me to walk away before the cops came because he knew he was wrong. Stay away from these mentally unstable self-claimed supervisors / employees who couldn't tolerate a regular customer who wanted to purchase family holiday photos with her own money!! The 1485 valley location could not get the antibiotics for my daughter until 1-2 more business days later from the time the doctor sent it, but this location was able to whip it up for me in under an hour. My daughter got her first dose at the ER and it was pretty important that she get her next dose on time. Waiting for Walgreens customer service on the phone was also so slow as they prioritize transferring Rite Aid pharmacy customers first. The pharmacist next to the doctors office gave me the tip to just call cvs that is closest to the hospital and say you really need it and lo and behold it was done! read more

This store made me remember the color of my skin. I had a "oh yeah, I'm black" moment. I placed an order for a hair dryer sold out at local CVS stores. I took the 20 minute drive to this location. I provided them with my name, phone number, email address, and had my driver's license handy. The store associate told me she didn't have an order with me. And told me she needs me to give her my order number and show her the screen. I mentioned that I never had to provide my order number and pull up my order on my phone. Needless to say, I wasn't prepared. The CVS app was having technical issues and was not loading on my android OR my iPhone. 15-20 minutes later, I ask her to look it up by my name. She tells me "no we don't have an order for that name. Are you even at the right location?" She refused to look up the order by phone number. And by my email address. I even told her the time I placed the order and what the item was. I could have shopped the order faster. Another 20 minutes goes by, and I asked a different employee. This employee walks over and says they don't even have an order for a hair dryer or with that name and told me that if it was placed after 8pm, it won't be ready until the next day. Even though I told her I placed the order two hours ago. And even though it was 4pm, not even after 8pm. Why did she dished out irrelevant information ???? (That's an underlying form of premeditated social profiling. ) 15/20 minutes goes by and the CVS app FINALLY loaded. I showed her the order number and she goes "oh yes. We have your order." I ordered a hair dryer. And I did NOT get dressed for CVS like I'm going to see my man, or have a photoshoot. I came like I needed a damn HAIR DRYER! Which makes me feel like I was profiled based off my appearance and possibly my skin color. The other time I just provided my name, phone number and email, I was having a good hair day. But this time was different. And I don't appreciate not having equal treatment. Sometimes, I want to wear a hat and not be racially profiled. Not really my favorite store but I chose it for my medications pick up because it is near my house First the prices there are ridiculously expensive Second there is no customer service around the floor so you need to wait for someone at the register to help you Rude front customer service where I asked her if I can select all extra bucks in my husband CVS account, she said he works he works at CVS he should do it not you. Very weird and rude Third I ordered online some CVS photos to be picked up from store to find out my photos weren't ready and also another customer photos were inside my envelope mixed all together Fourth the line at the pharmacy pick up is absolutely ridiculous. You could see one technician helping longline of 10 customers while in the back there is 3 pharmacist busy and 2 technicians don't even look and see what's going on. For being the only CVS store that is open 24hrs, they don't have much in stock. I don't know why, but twice already that i have visited this location for late night runs, there were no 2 liter sodas & no juice. What are they doing? Staff isn't that friendly either. This is the worst pharmacy to send your prescription to. Unfortunately every time I use them it's either delayed or they say they never got my prescription. This is the worst run pharmacy in the city. Have been stuck here because of proximity, but there is not a single time I have gotten the right prescription without having to argue for it. Rarely do you need the non generic, but when you do you need it, and they refuse to acknowledge it. They just give you generic without asking. They are unorganized and inexperienced. read more

I brought a RX from my neurosurgeon for pain med and they would not fill it because the nurse used blue ink and the MD used black ink - 2 different pens. Well, I'm finally here for my 2nd dose of the shingles shot... lol my team has been having me stock up on ALL of my boosters. Plus, it has taken me this long to get back to CVS for the scheduled 2nd dose. I've been "under the weather " for the past couple of months and then we lost my mom unexpectedly about 8 or 9 days ago?? It's really all a blur. So I'm back and greeted by really friendly pharmacy technicians and told it would be about 5 to 10 minutes due to a unexpected rush... umm it really wasn't that bad of a wait quite honestly. My name was called and I walked over to the curtain devider and I was asked to take a seat. The friendly and professional pharmacist ran through a litany of questions and asked which arm I'd like. I chose the left because I had already utilized my right for the blood panels at QUEST the other day and also my B12 inoculation last week. Wow she was great! We were chatting and I felt her squeeze my shoulder and then I heard her say ok... lol I said, ok let me know when you're going to do it... she said, no... I did it already. Lol she said that she loves to distract people with a shoulder squeeze or pinch so that they wouldn't be able to detect the needle. I laughed and said that she was pretty cagey and that I appreciated it. Lol this was another painless inoculation for the books . Thanks guys! This review is mostly for their vaccine experience! I've gotten several shots here and all of the pharmacy techs that administered the shots made them literally painless. One woman was so quick and smooth that I was still bracing myself for the pinch when she stuck on a band-aid and sent me on my way. Everyone I interacted with, from check-in to the shot itself, has always been very friendly. The person at the vaccine check-in during my most recent visit went above and beyond to double-check my insurance when something wasn't right, preventing me from receiving an expensive and unnecessary bill. My only complaint is that the store is quite messy. Each time I've been at this CVS, there were boxes in the aisles, and a ton of workers doing restocks. Makes it a bit hectic to navigate, especially near the pharmacy when a ton of people are also waiting before or after their shots. I wouldn't call shots a pleasant experience but the ones I've gotten at this CVS branch haven't been awful, and that's good enough for me :) read more

This is an update review, but for the 1485 E. Valley Blvd store: Stopped by yesterday to pick up some random incidentals and asked about the CVS CarePass program at the counter. Yarid assisted me with describing the program in detail and I decided to proceed with opening an account. I'm happy to say that Yarid was extremely helpful and professional. There was a system glitch encountered during the application process, but she made sure that she saw the whole process through from start to finish; and the process was, in fact, completed successfully. Subsequently, Yarid made sure that the promos from both my new CarePass card and ExtraCare card were applied line item by line item. Very happy with the due diligence and the checkout process went without a hitch, as well. Thank you Yarid! read more

Came here for a flu shot the other day and was absolutely horrified at the service. I totally understand that it's a difficult time with COVID-19 and really can't say that I expect much out of a CVS pharmacy's customer service after 6:00 PM, but one of the pharmacists working was borderline aggressive in yelling at customers every 2 minutes that they had to "be patient because there were only 2 pharmacists doing all the work". None of the customers seemed to be antagonizing the staff, but the atmosphere and environment seemed unnecessarily anxious because of all this yelling. Opted it to come back another day because I wasn't confident that I'd trust the service or care I'd be able to get in this visit. read more

I have been coming to this CVS for 6 years. Overall great store. One complaint would be they allow solicitors (ASPCA, D.A.R.E., Etc) out at front entrance. They are pushy and want you to talk to them as you leave. I want to be able to shop get my medication and leave without the bother of the solicitors. If I want to donate I will do it on my own time. Make a change CVS don't allow these solicitors. read more

DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS FROM CVS!!!!! They do not protect you from gift card scams. They will send you to the gift card company that treat gift cards as CASH. You will be out your money!!! Just happened to me with 2 Nike Cards at $100 each. CVS was useless in resolving. Buy the Gift Card directly from the company issuing the card. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. This CVS is 24 hours, BUT A LOT of things, such as cash back are not available from 9 PM-6 AM. They have a sign at the register that lists what services are not available, but it doesn't include everything. I went in at 9:05 pm to make a small cash deposit to my capital one checking account using the capital one app. The Capital One app gave me a barcode to scan for the cashier and was ready to go, but they would not do it. I told them their sign does not mention Capital One bank deposits. The rude cashier said nope. At other times when I've gone in, the check out line is really long. They have self-checkout too, but someone always runs into a problem with them and then they have to wait for the one human cashier to assist them. Like I said, AVOID THIS CVS!!!! read more

Any establishment open on Christmas Day gets an extra star . I think they were open 24 hours too that day . We stopped by as we were desperate to find a place that sold coffee beans and coffee filters . We bought a coffee maker for a friend for a Christmas gift but forgot to buy actual coffee and filters as well . This CVS in Alhambra is big and decently organized . They had nice staff working Christmas Day and all were relatively cheery. We appreciated that as no one wants to work on that day . The coffee we got was actually really affordable ! It was on sale for $3.99. Ralph's has it on sale usually at $5.99. Parking was a breeze in their big lot and I believe they also have a drive thru pharmacy . We liked this location and were thankful for them being open on a major holiday . read more

Worst service ever! I was buying gift cards for teacher appreciation week and when I got to the register she said they stopped selling at 9 and that she forgot to put the sign. It had just turned 9 not 9:01 it was exactly 9pm I showed her my phone and she just kept saying she could not..it was an unpleasant way that she handled and their was nothing to show this new policy as before it was a later time that they would stop selling. I called Walgreens and they sell them until 12 am when they close. read more

The pharmacy line is always super long. Doesn't matter what time you come. Be prepared to wait at least 30+ min when picking up your meds.

I was on a emergency worker comp injury and had to collect my medication. The lady at the counter said she didn't fill one up in 6 months and didn't know how to do it. She had me wait for more than 1/2 an hour only to tell me to go home and come back once she figured out how to do the worker comp process. She was nice but I was hoping to get my drugs immediately because I had all my papers in order and my prescription and the only thing that was held up was on her end. Please retrain your staff how to make lines move more efficiently and be knowledgeable on these issues so they don't waste anybody's time. I had a severe infection where time is of essence to take my medication and this was not acceptable. The staff again was nice in pharmacy but they looked understaffed and frustrated. Please help that department out. As for the old lady cashier at the front of CVS (not the pharmacy) she tried to double charge me. Lucky I checked my receipt and had her refund me. I forgave her the first time. I went back to CVS another day and was hoping not to get her but I did. This time I didn't want a product and she was huffing and puffing that she had to redo my order. She dumped my store bag in front of everyone as if it was such a huge chore. All I kindly said was I didn't want one item because it was more than the advertised price. Reading thru the reviews below I guess Jimmy also had a problem with this same lady. Customer service is everything. You need to have workers who have professional bed side manners and not ones with attitudes because it's inconvenient for them. It's part of their job to make the transaction as seamless as possible for the CUSTOMER. Please let that coworker know that that's how they lose customers because they feel afraid to get her at check-out or feel they have to double check their work for fear they will be rung incorrectly. All I can say is that after stopping by the CVS Pharmacy on Main Street, I am SOLD on how much they care about their customers. I called over 10 CVS stores for a travel vaccination that I need to take two weeks prior to our Costa Rica trip. No luck until I called and Lichelle Lim, the Pharmacy Tech answered my call. She was my saving grace. She and Cathy Thai the Pharmacist filled by prescription in a flash and sent me on my way shortly before closing at 10pm. I have to mention how awesome the store manager Art Huitron was when I walked in. He greeted with a smile as I raced to the pharmacy. Got my prescription here at CVS and the process was really quick and fast. Brought up my slip that I got from my doctor and after a brief wait they verified my information was correct. My information did change with it being a new year so they updated that and got everything squared off. The pharmacist asked if I was going to wait around or if I was going to come back to pick it up. I informed that I was staying. The service at this pharmacy is horrible!!! They honestly deserve 0 stars. I know the place can get busy so when they asked me to hold, I agreed. They placed me on hold for 25minutes...someone even picked up a few times to check if I was still there and after that few times, they hung up on me. I decided to call and talk to the manager...he somewhat solved the problem. He transfered me to this lady rep and she guaranteed me that the med will be ready by 6. I came at 8 and the meds weren't even filled. They said I had to wait 20minutes! I m sure they were pissed off and wanted us to wait some more. Bad service!!! The pharm techs here has the ugliest face... they never smile and they are always there with an angry face!
