Love that Da Vien is expanding and there are more locations in my area now (e.g. Rosemead & Arcadia). It's located in a small strip mall facing a super busy street. It's open daily 6am-10pm Really enjoy that they have their own App where you can easily place your order and earn rewards! So easy, fast, and convenient! Parking is not too bad since they have their own small parking lot and it isn't shared with too many other businesses. Love that they have sugar, caffeine, cream, milk and ice adjustments! Their menu has a good variety of coffee and matcha drinks and it's reasonably priced - $6-$7. Got the Egg Cream Coffee ($6) and it consisted of Vietnamese coffee topped with egg cream top and cocoa powder. I got it with less ice and 30% sweetness. The egg cream top was very thick in consistency so I had to give it a very good stir prior to drinking. The coffee was very bold and strong in flavor. The cream top wasn't too sweet and balanced the coffee very well. The drink was very refreshing and delicious without being too bitter or sweet. I recently found out that Da Vien Coffee opened up a new location in Alhambra. They are located in a small unknown plaza with about 7 other businesses. Parking lot is small, but clean... holds about 30-35 cars. There may be street parking. Please read the signages. Upon entry, I was greeted right away by a lovely young lady. Thank you Miss! I saw one self-order kiosk, but I decided to order at the counter. I knew exactly what I wanted... Ube Cream Coffee 16 oz. What an aromatic and super tasty coffee drink! Coffee was indeed divine and wasn't too strong for me. Ube flavor was delicious and the perfect complement with this coffee. It's a pretty drink, too. Definitely recommend this flavorful combination. I appreciate they use crushed ice in their drinks which is my preferred choice. Yay! Staff and service were super. Prices were great. Love to come back and try their other specialty coffee drinks. Just one observation, I noticed this location is away from the hustle and bustle of SGV on Valley Blvd to the west of Garfield Ave. I wonder why they chose this location. Just curious. Da Vien has been on my hit list for so long, so glad to have finally tried it as I think I just found a new spot to frequent. The interior is super nice and clean, there are around three tables inside. It wasn't super busy when I went so it was the perfect environment to study for a couple hours at. There are chargers and Wifi in the store (the wifi password: eggcoffee). I got the banana Matcha and ordered it with oat milk and 30% sweetness. I think the lessened sweetness is honestly the key, especially since the banana pudding is pretty sweet. It really lets the high-quality Matcha flavor shine through. I've heard really good things about Vietnamese coffee as well, especially the ube one. Overall, nothing to change about the experience. I had an awesome time at Da Vien. 05/26/26 Tuesday Ordered two lattes via their app for pick up around 4:30 PM. For some reason it only let me choose ASAP so that's what I did. I originally wanted to choose a later time. My partner luckily was able to pick it up for us. They had a promotion going on for their banana latte, buy one get one free (BOGO)! Love their BOGO deals, especially the ones that don't have specific times (namely 2-4 PM) since most folks are still at work during those hours. They have them quite often too. I substituted banana cream for strawberry cream on one of the orders. The strawberry is a lot easier to mix than the banana since the banana cream kept clumping up. I could taste real fruit in both. I usually get a coffee or matcha whenever I come to Da Vien, but this time I wanted something that wasn't milky. I saw they had a peach tea and decided to give it a try. I ordered through the app, and my drink was already ready when I arrived. Super convenient, especially when you just want to grab your drink and go. I was really glad that they let you adjust the sweetness for their fruit teas because there are so many places that don't allow you to do that. I got mine at 30% sweetness and also asked for less ice. There was still quite a lot of ice, though, so I do wish "less ice" actually meant less ice. My first sip was absolutely refreshing! I was also pleasantly surprised that they use real peach. There was even a slice of canned peach in my drink, which I wasn't expecting. The peach flavor came through really nicely and, most importantly, didn't have that artificial peach taste that some fruit drinks have. It tasted fruity and refreshing without being overly sweet. I think 30% sweetness is definitely the way to go if you don't like your drinks too sweet. It was sweet enough to bring out the peach flavor without taking away from the tea or making the drink feel heavy. I guess since I've left LA, "fancy" viet coffee shops have really started to make their presence known. Da Vien is one chain that's been popping up all over the SGV and for good reason. It has modern boba shop vibes but specialize in coffee. Service seems quick and easy, ordering at a kiosk or at the cashiers and coffees come out pretty quickly. I, personally, prefer the earthy flavor profile of viet coffee so I'm glad there are places for playful variations. I enjoyed their egg coffee, which has a nice, creamy, rich sweet egg foam (think tiramisu more than omelette). I also really liked their banana coffee and probably something that feels more unique in a way but also I'm seeing banana popping up more. I thought their sesame one was alright and could def have had a stronger sesame flavor. The ube latte was also pretty good and had a notable sweet, earthy ube that complimented the coffee well. I will say that viet coffee seems to have quite a bit more caffiene and as someone who doesn't drink coffee often, I do tend to have to drink it over 2 days as I get headaches but I do still enjoy the flavor. read more

Was able to order 3 matcha drinks here. I got the regular iced matcha latte, the ube matcha, and the new cookie butter matcha. I think if you get the butter cream matcha, to make sure to have a straw and stir it in. I drank it from the sipping hole and I felt like it was so sugary and sweet once I had a bit left. You also taste pure sweetness in the beginning since it's at the top of the drink. My dad really enjoyed the ube matcha and drank it quick. What can I say!? The ceremonial matcha here is top tier! It's creamy, earthy, and smoky just how I like it! I've been here about 5 times already this past week and my favorite so far is the banana matcha latte and the strawberry matcha latte. They need to carry a pandan matcha latte soon! I'm a sucker for good pandan and this is absolutely the location to have that on the menu! The parking lot is small but you can always find someone leaving or park on the street. They always have my drink ready at the counter and it's an easy transaction online. You also rack up points with their own app! Hurray. SGV went from traveling to OC for Da Vien to now having 3 locations. Yippee I love this Alhambra location as it is also next to a well known Banh Mi shop. Parking at peak times can be tricky but the parking lot organization has also improved since back in the day. You can always count on Da Vien for great Viet coffee. Store is nice but could use some sound dampening panels on the inside. The conversations from customers seems to be amplified. Service is great because you have options of the kiosk or cashier. Loveee Da Vien. I came back to the 626 and saw that so many locations opened up near me. I love how their is an Alhambra location now which is even closer compared to the Rosemead location. We ordered the sesame matcha latte and einspanner cream coffee. Both were so good. The black sesame foam was delicious and the einspanner cream matched perfectly with the vietnamese coffee. Da Vien truly has the best vietnamese coffee. So authentic and powerfully strong. I always recommend Da Vien to any of my friends who love vietnamese coffee and haven't tried it yet. This place has been popping up on my Insta daily so I had to obey the algorithm and finally check this place out. My current fascination is a banana latte and Lalaland's is the best IMHO but having it delivered gets pricey because I'm too lazy to drive to Glendale to go get it. Anyways, DVC's banana latte satisfies the craving. It's not as "banana" flavored as Lalaland's but the strong Vietnamese coffee pairs well with their banana syrup (they also add condensed milk) and creamy banana topping. It was my first time trying this place and I was told it was a sweet drink but next time I think I will make it a bit sweeter because I love my sugary drinks. TL;DR: download their app for their weekly Wednesday BOGO discounts - trying a new drink is fun, plus everything (that I've had so far) is delicious. I had Da Vien for the first time a month ago, because my team in NorCal was having a coffee run at a Da Vien location there and I wanted to remotely join in on the fun. Since then, I've been hooked. I've had most of the coffee items from the menu, and I can say all of them are solid. I enjoy my coffee on the strong side and this does not disappoint. The Einspinner is amazing and I've never had such yummy cream on top of an intense coffee. The coffee comes out quickly and is always tasty, and the employees are courteous and efficient. While the parking lot is frustrating to get into (can only enter from one direction going on Garvey, so don't miss the turn into the plaza), I've typically been able to find parking. The inside of the store is small but modern and there's free WiFi for a quick work break. Overall, I probably should save money and keep using my Nespresso machine at home but I keep getting lured back with their Wednesday BOGO deals and the solid drinks. read more
