I stopped by Da Vien Coffee in Alhambra and ordered the Matcha Cream Coffee. It was really good! The coffee was smooth, and the matcha added a nice flavor that went really well together. It was a unique drink, and I'm glad I gave it a try. The shop itself is on the smaller side, but I actually liked that. It felt cozy, and it was easy to order and grab my drink without feeling crowded. The atmosphere was nice, and my drink was made pretty quickly. Stopped by on a Sunday around 9:30am and it was super easy. No line, and there was plenty of parking, although I can see parking being more difficult during busier times since it's in the same plaza as Banh Mi My Tho. We tried the Matcha Einspanner and the Vietnamese Coffee with ube cream top. The matcha was just okay, it tasted like a basic Starbucks matcha rather than a high quality ceremonial matcha. If you're really into matcha, this one probably isn't for you. The Vietnamese coffee was really strong, which my husband actually loved. The ube cream added a nice touch without being overly sweet. My only complaint is the cup lid. It's designed in a way that makes it hard to sip the coffee and the foam together so you don't really get the full experience. What can I say!? The ceremonial matcha here is top tier! It's creamy, earthy, and smoky just how I like it! I've been here about 5 times already this past week and my favorite so far is the banana matcha latte and the strawberry matcha latte. They need to carry a pandan matcha latte soon! I'm a sucker for good pandan and this is absolutely the location to have that on the menu! The parking lot is small but you can always find someone leaving or park on the street. They always have my drink ready at the counter and it's an easy transaction online. You also rack up points with their own app! This place has been popping up on my Insta daily so I had to obey the algorithm and finally check this place out. My current fascination is a banana latte and Lalaland's is the best IMHO but having it delivered gets pricey because I'm too lazy to drive to Glendale to go get it. Anyways, DVC's banana latte satisfies the craving. It's not as "banana" flavored as Lalaland's but the strong Vietnamese coffee pairs well with their banana syrup (they also add condensed milk) and creamy banana topping. It was my first time trying this place and I was told it was a sweet drink but next time I think I will make it a bit sweeter because I love my sugary drinks. Oh and the plus is they use crushed ice, which I believe makes every drink better. I'll definitely be returning and can't wait to try all of their other concoctions. Hurray. SGV went from traveling to OC for Da Vien to now having 3 locations. Yippee I love this Alhambra location as it is also next to a well known Banh Mi shop. Parking at peak times can be tricky but the parking lot organization has also improved since back in the day. You can always count on Da Vien for great Viet coffee. Store is nice but could use some sound dampening panels on the inside. The conversations from customers seems to be amplified. Service is great because you have options of the kiosk or cashier. Da Vien Coffee has really expanded a lot recently, even up to the Bay Area (where I'm currently located). I remember when they were just located in Westminster, so I'm happy to see them doing so well. I needed some morning coffee for my work commute, so I was glad to see that they had a location in Alhambra. So I got super excited about this location because it's closer to me but the parking lot of small and hard to find parking as well as I think the ube Viet drink k got tasted different then the one my bf got me from the Rosemead location. Service was mixed: the lady taking my order was extremely nice and then the one giving me my order gave me this hurry get me out of there vibe. She offered me a bag and saw me struggling to put my second drink but didn't offer a hand. I just felt like that was a trader Joe opportunity to not only personalize my first visit there but to help me bag the darn drinks. My first visit, the kind worker was attentive and helpful. She recommended I try the Einspanner Latte (perfect introduction) not too sweet, bold coffee taste. This place is clean, lively and can get a little busy. Order ahead if you are able. On another visit to Da Vien, 07/01/26, I had the banana latte. The banana cream top had the right amount of banana flavor and thickness, almost like a custard, that mixed well into the coffee. It is exactly what you'd expect and maybe a little more. I felt the urge to scream in profanity as my pupils dilated from this coffee's strength. I arrived at Da Vien Coffee (Alhambra) on Wednesday (around 10:50AM). The parking lot is cramped and crowded. Fortunately, I found nearby street parking; sign says, "1 Hour Parking - 9AM to 6PM." Staff exclaim, "Hi. Welcome," as customers enter. Customers can order at the self-service kiosk or counter. Staff looks fatigued, but Staff is diligent. My coffee took about three minutes. Good time! As mentioned, I ordered the Ube Cream Coffee ($7 - Large - 20oz). This HUGE Vietnamese coffee is dessert-like, but it's also very functional. Its caffeine is POWERFUL. The drink holds a shy, bitter coffee bite; however, the coffee flows like dark chocolate mixed with fresh, sweet ube. It's delightful! On ambiance, Da Vien Coffee (Alhambra) is modern, clean, and useful. There's customer internet with password; details are displayed near the counter. And there's about six electrical outlets. The location also has a gender neutral restroom, and soft music plays aloud. Da Vien Coffee (Alhambra) is small, but the tall ceiling makes the location feel more spacious. There's about five tables inside. Fortunately, everything felt very clean and comfortable. Overall, I had a good experience at Da Vien Coffee (Alhambra). The prices are very competitive; the coffee is extremely functional and tasty; and the service is quick and efficient. BOGO matcha today! Yay?? Not realliiiii What's the point of offering bogo?? Basically, the 2 cups combined equaled 1 drink. So much ice!!! I was literally paying for ice!!! Service was ok. One of the dudes standing at the register didn't bother to greet or anything. Why even stand there..I had to ask this other guy to take my order. I gotta say that this location was very efficient. I could see tons of matcha lattes waiting to be picked up. After ordering, my drinks were ready in less than 10 minutes. The downfall was really the ice. 4/12/26 Glad I missed the 4 hour long wait at their Grand Opening yesterday. Also happy this one is a little closer (than Rosemead) to me. All in all, great drinks, friendly staff, ambiance is modern but so daRn small & VERY LOUD indoors, I give it 4 stars, being generous, of course. I may deduce it's meant & geared for the younger crowd that can afford to kill off a few more hair cells in the cochlea (yet I digress). It's predictable that I would order the Ube matcha latte & banana matcha latte. I could barely hear John Ashley (order taker at the counter) as the music/background noise was BLARING (customers talking over louder because they can't hear each other), doors opening & the vent fans going off--all add to the NOISE pollution at this shop. Staff are welcoming, as they greet everyone coming through the doors and thank each customer after every encounter & transaction. There is one restroom. Hubby says is clean & modern, no paper towels, single stall. Parking is somewhat limited as it shares with other businesses in this small plaza. The beverages we ordered were made very quickly & are just heavenly delicious. The banana matcha had this creamy banana pudding mixed in- my fave! Hubby loved the Ube matcha latte but really wanted one that's pure Ube- he inquired-- nope, none YET (we hope) The one in Rosemead is probably just as loud but at least it's bigger in terms of accommodating/seating capacity. Both locations are just about the same distance from us. It's a good visit. Likely just a pick up spot because my ears cannot afford the killing of more hair cells. 3.6 stars Alhambra's Da Vien just opened up this past weekend, which means I no longer have to drive too far just to get their beverages. I've been to various Da Vien locations and will say that their drinks are consistent from store to store. Customer service has always been decent and quick. And they have an app that allows customers to earn points. In store, there is the option to order at the register or at the kiosk. I've tried Da Vien's Vietnamese coffees before, but I have to say that Lee's Sandwiches' and Yotea's Viet coffee are still some of the best in the area. Today, I got the Banana Matcha sub Oatmilk ($8.75). Their matcha tends to be a little on the bitter side with the flavored creams softening the taste a bit. Their Ham & Swiss Croissant, normally $4.75, is $2.99 on Mondays (w/ drink purchase) in the month of April 2026 when ordering from the app. It tasted good...better than I expected! The interior is small with limited seating. So far, everything on the inside looks clean and new. Parking is free and also limited spaces. I'll be back. read more

This place is alot smaller than the rosemead one. Came during grand opening and it wasnt that bad. Had to wait but i liked that they handed out the giveaway ticket so people cant randomly cut in front. They opened at 9 and i go my drink at 1015. Considering the amount of people that were ahead if me (i was around the corner almost to residental area) I got the banana matcha and it tastes the same as the rosemead one. This Da Vien location just opened. It wasn't crowded at all on a rainy Sunday morning, which was nice. You order through a kiosk, which made things quick and easy. I got an iced Vietnamese coffee for my boyfriend and an Einspanner cream iced coffee for myself. We also each ordered a ham, egg, and cheese croissant melt. At first, I thought the croissant price was reasonable, but when I got it, it was pretty small--about half the size of a regular croissant. It was still tasty and flaky. My Einspanner cream iced coffee was really good. It was strong, as you'd expect from Vietnamese coffee, and the cream made it extra smooth once I mixed it in. Definitely gave me a good energy boost after. For $6, I think it was worth it. The place itself is very clean--like spotless. They also have a few tables if you want to dine in. read more

Da Vien in the Alhambra has officially opened, and it is currently soft opening. I checked it out this afternoon, and there don't seem to be many tables or seats. Somehow, the employee unintentionally charged me an additional 85 cents, the manager is really kind, but instead of giving me money back, he simply offered me another drink. Great atmosphere and customer service. I am eagerly awaiting the big opening on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 9 a.m. Get free goodies for the first 400 customers. I'm glad that Alhambra Da Vien is now open, saving me from having to visit the Rosemead location. read more

Da Vien is next to Banh Mi My Tho which is a perfect spot to pick up coffee and Banh Mi. I ordered the Ube Coffee which was so delicious but next time, I would order with less ice. They put alot of ice in a drink. I also ordered the Banana Matcha the other day and it was way too much ice. The drinks are still good but will order with less nice next time. I ordered through their app and it was an easy and quick process. The parking lot in the plaza is quite small so if there is no parking, you might have to find street parking. Cold brew ofc was bitter and good even with less sugar. It doesn't taste watered down at all which is a plus. Black sesame matcha still has a nutty taste on top of the slight sweetness matcha. We went next door for some banh mi and noticed this shop was open. We went in and was greeted immediately. Super friendly workers and very clean shop (since it's their soft opening). We opted for the kiosk since they were helping another customer. We placed our order and waited about five minutes for our drinks. Not too long at all. Now this is where it goes downhill. We got to our car and left. I took my drink and noticed that it's basically all ice (see photo). Yes, I took one sip but the ice was still there after my sip. It took me another couple of sips and I was done with my drink. And guess what more ice. So I basically paid for $6 ice. Half a star for the flavor of the tea and one star for friendly staff. They have a small parking lot in front. Free surrounding street parking. Came during their grand opening on 4/11/26. They opened at 9am, started lining up at 7:30am, but there already was a long line wrapped around the block. Didn't get into the store until 11:30am, so we waited in line for 4 hours. We were one of the last people of the 400 to get vouchers for their grand opening promotion. The vouchers ran out around 8:30pm. Their voucher gave us a descent size tote bag selling for $17, their tumbler selling for $25, keychain, and free Marble Drip drink for next visit selling for $5.50. Their promotion voucher was supposedly worth $60, which would make the keychain seeking for $12.50. Got the Sesame Matcha Latte large size for $8. You can adjust the sweetness level from extra sweet, 100%, 50%, 30%, and 0%. You can adjust the ice level from regular, less, and none. Thought the Sesame Matcha Latte was alright, nothing to rave about out. read more

I've been here 3 days in a row, I live nearby and have been anxiously awaiting their arrival! First of all this place is worth the hype! The drinks delicious and not overly sweet. The options are great! My personal fave so far is the Peach Tea! It's refreshing and juicy and has actual peach slices! The ice is elite! Pebble crunch ice! Service is awesome they have a kiosk and an app so you can order ahead. The drinks are consistent which is very hard to nail in the first week. I've been happy with every drink I've tried so far. I really enjoy being able to get less ice. I'd recommend it since drinks can get watery quick with the heat. Drinks are priced between $6 & $7 which is average. The Vietnamese coffee is very strong! But tasty! Parking can be tricky here, it's my only complaint. There is a very popular mom and pop Vietnamese sandwich spot in the same shopping center and it usually always has a line so two busy places in the same center can cause a traffic issue for parking. The vibes are busy but cute! They put effort into making the place look clean and comfortable, they have indoor seating and tables. It can get kinda loud in there though. Overall this place is solid. The parking lot is busy but you won't really have a problem because the majority of traffic is coming to pick and go versus stay here because of limited seating. They are very efficient and on time, especially for online orders. No complaint, they gave me my drink within a minute of me arriving for my online order. Highly recommend if you just want to grab a cup of Da Vien to-go. They have the new cold brew and I recommend if you want a twist on the usual coffee without the heaviness of the condensed milk, although you can get shots of milk as an add-on to the drink. However, that is not the case and the quality is still through the roof. I ordered the strawberry matcha and it was absolutely delicious.
