Went to receive my 2025 covid shot. Once I was seated in room and while waiting for nurse/pharmacist to administer shot, I observed the filthiest room I've ever seen in a medical setting! There was a partially eaten something (maybe protein bar) sticking out from a cabinet on floor, an actual pill of some sort, gummies, some other piece of medical equipment, bandaids, and various other unknown items. In addition to all of the stuff on floor, the floors were grossly filthy. The store had only been open two hours, so I'm positive it wasn't accumulated in that time frame. If I hadn't traveled half an hour to get there, I would have turned around and left. Gross. Gross. Gross! And yes, I did call corporate to report. read more

Dude here laughed in my friends face when she wanted to use her passport to buy alcohol. Passports are literally the most accepted form of identification by every bar, club, smoke shop, liquor store. People literally prefer passports because you can't fake them! How ridiculous to laugh at a customer in front of other customers, and also to be WRONG when you work somewhere that sells alcohol. I give 1 star only because I can't give a partial star. They have the all time worst customer service ever. I rarely use them. And I know why. I had a pharmacist actually roll his eyes at me when I told him I'd never taken a particular medication. That's the good story. Seriously???? I could go on and on. All I can say is this CVS is a poor representation of the area. Or maybe it is is on point for the surrounding area but not Lake of the Pines. We were headed toward LOP to spend the day with some friends at the beach and go fishing. Per recommendation we stopped at this CVS to buy bait. I asked the guy at the front if this was the CVS that sells bait and he told me aisle 10. I went to aisle 10 and found the fridge. There was one more box of worms left in the fridge. Without checking I took the box and checked out. Later in the afternoon we got our poles ready and opened the box. No worms. Not one single worm... just dirt. It was getting late and we needed to get on the road to head home so we didn't bother to stop and complain. What was I suppose to do... just take the box of dirt back? I'm pretty sure all the worms were gone since there was a fishing derby the day before. Thanks the rude person that decided to steal all the last of the worms. RUDE. read more

This is the WORST place to get your prescriptions! Thank you to the extremely rude and unprofessional pharmacist this morning around 10am who not only was days late in a medication needed or could have faced dangerous withdrawals, possible death. All for a snot attitude snapping, saying they're short staffed but you can wait around. Mind you this medication was suppose to be filled on the 16th (it is the 18th) and still was not filled. There's a way to talk to a customer who happens to also be a patient with chronic illness in need of medication called in by the doctor himself. The unprofessional is disgusting. My next email will be to corporate and I will make sure they contact the owner of the franchise to address the disgrace that is your pharmacist! Driving 100 miles would be an easier and more pleasant experience than any experience had at this dump. Please Yelp allow a 0 for terrible establishments like this! read more

CVS on Combie Road in Auburn, CA. Pharmacy. It is impossible to speak to anyone when you're calling on the phone. The worst customer service ever. They don't even have cashiers anymore - all is self serve, except the pharmacy. In most instances I've tried to use self serve, I've always needed assistance and it's hard to get someone to come, even after pressing the "help" button. It is painfully obvious the employees are not having the best days either. I will be changing pharmacies and wonder why my insurance company keeps a contract with CVS as a preferred pharmacy. Is it possible to give negative stars? I was at hospital and informed my Rxs were being processed and available for pick at 5:40. At 5:00 I received a text they they could not fill one Rx. There is no way to get to a person on their phone system or app. I just got "sorry, we can't fill your Rx". When I finally was able to get to voicemail and I yelled into it that I needed urgent response, I got a callback. This company is BAD. This is a huge industry and they make $$$$$. Not my problem they have over extended their marketing efforts. Is there a way to make a complaint through Medicare? read more

The counter staff are excellant other than over worked. I have auto refill and each time I am lucky to get filled date to refill by close. Our local CVS on Combie road always has courteous and helpful staff. My only complaint is that the management doesn't seem to care about the stench of U-R-I-N-E in front of the entry. This store by far has the biggest problem around. A regular set of homeless men like to hang out begging for money in the day time and using the front area as a urinal at night. My suggestion is to increase the lighting out front and make more of an effort to ban loitering altogether. Also consider bleaching and power washing the front area as needed to get rid of the smell. read more

They're really struggling lately. People are waiting in long lines to pick up prescriptions which haven't even been processed. I was told that there were nine pages of presciptions that they had even had time to look at that day. I get that COVID is a big problem for them. I doubt that's why two of their pharmacy personnel reportedly just quit. There has always been an attitude at this pharmacy of "You have us mistaken for people who care." I'll be driving into town from now on to get my meds from RiteAid or Walgreens. read more

Juliana, a worker a this particular CVS has made me feel completely violated..Not only did she follow me around the store demanding I put a mask on, she ran to the self checkouts and turned them off right before I got to them. So, first of all, I'm giving 5 stars just because I don't think the low ratings do this place justice at all. I've been using this pharmacy for a couple years now and have never had a problem. They send texts right to my phone the minute it's ready for pick up, or if I want to refill in person, it takes 20minutes or less. I've never seen any rudeness or unprofessionalism. The cashiers always greet me when I come in and they are friendly and have genuine conversations with the customers. I'm not sure what more people are expecting, I think this place is great. read more

I'm from bay area. I stopped in at this CVS because I was purchasing a home nearby and needed to stop after my long drive up. I was extremely disappointed by the customer service. I was in a 4 person line. There was an issue with the customer at the register so the manager (his name is Dayna) pulled the next person in line to a nearby register and appeared nice to the woman. The next person in line was seen at the first register. I was next in line and when the lady in front was done. I assumed the manager would take me since the other register was busy. He looked at me but did not acknowledge me, not a word, not the standard "we will be right with you". Nothing, even though I had been standing there in the line for the last 10 minutes. He just closed his dwarer and walked away. I was only a few feet from him. It was so weird but definately felt like racism. So shocking because the bay area is so diverse. I can't believe CVS would hire such an ignorant assistant manager. So glad my daughter was waiting in the car, truly a dissapointing experience. read more

The wait is ridiculously long and they treat their customers like they are irritating them instead of being the reason they have a job. This review is specifically for the pharmacy. Pharmacist continually at lunch. We tried for a week to fill my moms prescription, and whenever she came in, they were gone. We went three times, and the third time, after waiting for the pharmacist to get back from lunch while trying to entertain 3 screaming kids, the pharmacist finally told her that they didn't have her prescription. Something they could have happened over the phone. Transferred all of her prescriptions. This pharmacy and its employees are useless. Still don't have the prescription. read more

It would be a good idea for them to send home staff who are sick as the guy sneezing and coughing all over the products he was pricing and putting out made me feel ill and I hadn't even gone there for the pharmacy! Not a great advertisement for the company. I wanted to wipe everything before I picked it up blergh! On the positive side I couldn't find what I needed and a different member of staff went out of his way to help me and find what I needed. CVS is pretty reliable. Has a good selection and is actually pretty well stocked. The pharmacy can be hit or miss, most of the time getting my prescriptions goes perfectly smooth but occasionally there will be a snafu and you'll have to go through the rigamarole of fixing whatever problem has come up. The people that work there are usually really friendly and you can get in and out in a snap when you need to. There's also a redbox just outside which is perfect for stay at home movie nights. read more

Stopped by today to pick up my prescriptions and the young lady said Ira was still working on them. No problem. I said I would be back later. I returned an hour and a half later and the older lady at the counter said that the pharmacist was working on them. I explained that I was told that earlier. Both she and the pharmacist became rude. They were both unprofessional. When "the boss", Ira belittles a customer, that gives the clerks permission to do so also. Shame on you Ira! read more

I have been using this pharmacy for 12+ years and it is a mixed bag. First, I have to say, in my case, they have gotten a lot better over the last few years. I used to have a problem with them blaming my doctor for failing to fax a prescription and when I would call my doctor's office they would claim they sent the fax and it was CVS causing the problem. CVS pharmacy and my doctor's office would send me around in circles, blaming each other, making me look like a drug seeking nut because I had to keep calling each place over and over again weeks after a refill was due. To be honest I have NOT had this happen lately, thank goodness because CVS is so convenient for LOP residence. There used to be a very nice, professional (tall) pharmacist there and one extremely rude, nasty one (older with glasses), I believe they are both gone currently and I have not had any problems with the new pharmacists. Personally, I have had a lot of positive experiences with the cashiers and other staff the last few years. Sometimes you have to call them and stay on top of what they are doing but for me it is easier than driving into Grass Valley or Auburn to a different pharmacy. Let them get a little irritated you are insisting they double check prescriptions etc. So, all in all, give them a break and give them the benefit of using this pharmacy, they may surprise you with great service. read more
