My dentist sent in a prescription around 9:30 am. it is now 11:11am. I have been to the pharmacy 3 times. They have said my prescription was not called in. I spoke with my dentist and they confirmed they left my prescription request on the voicemail. The pharmacist, who's always incessantly rude and dismissive, is the only person who can check the voicemail. I then had this extrem displeasure of dealing with Douglas who, also, dismissed me to sit and wait "20 or more" minutes for my antibiotics while I'm in tooth pain. Where is there a pharmacy that is compassionate and works efficiently?! I do NOT recommend this place. read more

Thursday, 9/25: When I arrived this morning you have a sign at the right side of the pharmacy that states that you open at 8:00am. That is great only it does not state that for Thursday-Friday. I KINDLY asked an associate, who I believe was the manager if the Pharmacy was open this morning, and her response was "YEAH!" No good morning, no smile, nothing! She then proceeded to unlock the gates and went behind the register to tell the other employee working there (glasses, short dark hair) what I had asked. That then created the woman at the register to be rude and insensitive. I merely asked a question because I noticed a sign with no time indicating what time they were open today so I asked the simple question if you were open only to receive a snide response in return and an attitude from another associate that was incredibly not warranted. I will strongly advise people to not go in the morning as your employees are still waking up and not ready to face the public! read more

I am a first-time user of CVS pharmacy, having 5 ongoing maintenance prescriptions filled for 90 days. I spent the previous 30 years getting my prescriptions filled at Bel Air pharmacy. When I got home from CVS, I realized that two of the prescriptions were filled with 45 pills instead of 90, along with the instructions that I am to split my pills and take only half. This required me to go out and buy a $9 pill splitter. The pill splitter doesn't split the non-scored pills evenly, and a percentage of the medication is turned to powder. I will not be refilling my prescription here due to the inconvenience and the waste of time, money, and medication. . read more

Carol and Joe are the best. They greet all customers, most by name. Also, the customers know their name. Joe and carol have gone out of their way to help me with my coupons and photo department. Well worst service I've ever had at a CVS. Trying to do the instant photo service. Get to the end of my order and the screen says out of paper contact associate. A older grey hair lady with short hair had her back to me and I said "excuse me" as she walked away without any acknowledgement. Fine maybe she didn't hear me, but then she gets in her register and calls for assistance from another checker and says "I'm taking my break" as she looks directly at me. Ok let it go and I went to the other photo machine. Get to the end and get my printed receipt. Go to the printer and nothing. So I see another associate (Jamie) I asked her if I was supposed to do anything else because the machine wasn't printing the pictures. Without any acknowledgment she comes to the printer opens it up and closes it and says "now you wait till it prints". Nothing happened. She is now on the phone and comes back to the printer, opens it again and says I usually recommend printing to the one hour printer. I stated I'm from .... and can't wait an hour to which she replies "as I already said it is quicker for the one hour service". I replied you don't need to get snippy with me and she says "I'm on the phone with HR and I'm not getting snippy". At this point I said never mind and walked away as she said "I'm sorry if you felt I was snippy". What happened to CVS and the greetings in the store and nice customer service? So embarrassed by her rude response, lack of customer service or even a kind smile? Went to Rite Aid down the street first and what a huge difference! The gentleman came up immediately as I entered and welcomed me and asked if I needed any help. Unfortunately their photo machine was out of service and he kindly recommended CVS along with directions. That is customer service. CvS needs to provide training to their associates. read more

Customer Service is lacking in a great way at this pharmacy location. There's no one bad employee, the majority lack the same skills. Having been an Executive Director for 15 years, it's clear this is a system issue & the current unfortunate culture of this establishment. Employees lead by example. I tried uploading photos to the store's photo center from my phone while at home which was time consuming, and at the end of the upload, I received a message there was an issue of them not being uploaded, so I went to the store to print them. The store is well organized and clean, and has friendly and helpful associates, in which I was assisted with instructions on printing my photos which was easier and faster than I had imagined. I can't remember the young woman associate's name, but I appreciate her help, instructions, patience, and assistance with my print job. That you for all your help. My Doctor ordered a medication that they charge $164.00 for 10 pills . Lucky for me I checked around and found the same medication at Raleys for $12.00 . What a joke this pharmacy is! My doctor called in an emergent medicine this morning at 9am and the pharmacy said it won't be ready until 830pm almost 12 hours later? Time to find another pharmacy. UPDATE: so at 830 last night when we went back to pick up the meds they now tell me that they never even had the drug in stock. So today I have been calling all day to get them to respond to another pharmacy by sending them my rx to be filled elsewhere and they have yet to do it. This place SUCKS. They r rude and obviously simply don't care about or know a thing about customer service. Called 6 days ago for refill and called Thursday cause I hadn't heard anything. They have failed to respond to numerous requests by phone from me and pharmacist from pharmacy I'm transferring my refills to and several faxes. Today these fools tell me, an ER RN that they can't refill it, even though I have refills on it and they filled it last month! Now they say they need a new rx from my doctor!!!!! They couldn't CALL ME? To tell me that? It's bull. Total. Imnow out of my med for sleep and I recently had a total knee replacement so u get the idea. Ive been coming here for years, the pharmaceutical assistants are poorly trained and are very rude. Which is very understandable if you met their boss, who is the head pharmacist. She doesn't have respect for anyone else other than her self of course. Always count your medication when you are at this store. Ive had the head pharmacist and the workers steal my medication over the spand of 5 years. Ive had nothing but problem after problems with the head pharmacist to say the least. If you are miserable and ungrateful to have your job, why not just quit??? read more

I would give no starts if possible, for years this pharmacy has been crap , will tell you meds are ready only to drive 35 min and find out they are not ready happens ALL the time . Don't get a vaccine here either , had 10 people vaccinated and they didn't register any of them with the state and had to fight to get registered so we didn't have to get vaccinated again. If there's a 0.1 rating, that's my rating. Pharmacist or pharmacy tech tonight at 6pm was extremely rude and was cutting off the conversation when I had questions. When I said I will just go somewhere else, she said sarcastically, " Good job!". I didn't want to stoop down to her level and answer back. She's is clearly stressed out and a very unhappy person. Most unkind and grumpiest person I have seen in ages. The CEO or the big boss of CVS needs to do a random check especially with the most awful reviews on Yelp and in the Internet. A friend riding in our back seat during the 4-hr journey home from Reno needed a quick bathroom break so we pulled off the 80w at Downtown auburn exit and went straight into a large shopping plaza, home to SaveMart, Verizon, McCalou's, Round table, Flour Garden bakery, Liberty tax, Cosmic comic, cvs, and LOTS more!! Flowers, outdoor plastic chairs, and Blue Rhino propane sits out front of the store. Inside, the bathroom can be found in the very back of the store. I didn't have to use the ladies room but was told it was clean. A little slow at check out, but we were back on the road shortly with easy access back onto the freeway found by going straight out of the same plaza we entered. Very convenient. read more

Raman hollered at me while while I stood at the drop off and she was in the middle of an interaction with a different customer in the pick up window.... not sure if she thought she was multi tasking by hollering asking me what I'm here from there but definitely unprofessional. Someone please train her that this is a pharmacy and a place of business and she should conduct herself accordingly. the rest of the poor staff seems over worked over stressed and like they don't know how to manage the workload. read more

If there were zero stars, that's what I would give to them.. Several years ago, I stopped using their pharmacy because of poor customer service. I still use the regular part of the store; however today is my last visit. During a very busy lunch hour, they have ONE person there who is brain dead... she couldn't handle how to ring up gift cards for the person in front of me so after 20 minutes of waiting in line, I left... I plan to call not only the manager of the store, but their corporate office. I will never step foot into that store again! read more

Pharmacy takes a long time to process perscriptions. Doctor phoned in the perscription and it was still not ready after 2 hours. Not many choices in pharmacies in the area so we are a captive audience. Just wish CVS corporate would staff the pharmacy properly. We called on a Friday to make sure they had our prescription, because we had to evacuate from the Mosquito Fire on our last refill, and had it transferred to a different pharmacy, now that we are back home we needed to make sure our regular cvs had it. They said they would have it by 5 pm on that same Friday at this location. On Saturday my daughter went in and the employee told her they didn't have her prescription, it had been refilled in the other town at the previous months pharmacy, when my daughter asked if she could get it here they said no because they can't call the other pharmacy because it was "closed". So we called the other pharmacy, they were not closed, and they said they did not have the prescription and that this CVS did call them to fill it. So the man behind the counter at this CVS pharmacy just lied to us or did not bother to double check his information before telling us. So my husband and I went with her, there was no line but they told us to wait because they were ordering starbucks. My husband tells them this is time sensitive because the other pharmacy was closing in 40 mins. The same employe my daughter spoke with not 20 minutes prior acted like he didn't understand what we were talking about and there was nothing he could do because the pharmacist was on lunch and would be back in 15-20 minutes. While he's telling us there's nothing he can do the pharmacist comes over and helps us. read more

I have to agree with other reviews of this pharmacy. Their customer service is by far the worst I have ever experienced in a pharmacy. It took three days to get them to coordinate with my normal pharmacy in southern California. During that time I went in person twice and talked with them on the phone four times. In my final visit, when I asked to explain me why did I need to pay -despite my medication being 100% covered by my insurance plan-, one of the pharmacists repeatedly yelled at me. Her name is Marissa. She wouldn't share with me her last name after I asked to fill a customer complaint form. Even after asking her not to raise her voice to me, she continued doing so, in front of other customers and staff. Once I paid for my medication, I asked to speak to the store manager who, instead of facilitating the customer complaint process, said she would talk to Marissa. read more

I went to CVS on Elm St. to buy a COVID-19 test. They were out of stock so I bought a Sac Bee newspaper ($2.49) while I was there and drove to Rite Aid to find a test. They were also out of stock but while I was there I realized the newspaper I bought was Friday not Sunday. I returned to CVS which by then had changed clerks (10 mins later) and she told me I needed a receipt and my DL# to get a refund. The original clerk didn't give me a receipt which was eventually found in the register that she used. They told me they hadn't received Sunday's paper yet so I wonder why they sold me Friday's (btw I paid $2.49 and received a refund of $2.15.) The worst was when I called Monday to see if they had any tests yet and they said they had 2 left. I asked if they could put my name on one and I'd be right there. Sure. I drove to Auburn and they told me they were sold out. I said "I just called 20 minutes ago and you don't have it! You told me you would save one for me." Sorry, we don't have any. Sucks. read more

CVS is always a good store to go to find what you need, and I generally only go in for a specific thing I cant find anywhere else. I've unfortunately only had the pleasure of being rung up by a sour, rude, and never pleasant man named Dan. He will go out of his way to make sure you know hes annoyed with you're precense, as if saying "hello" would actually be the worst thing in the world. Scoffing and ignoring you and will not listen to you, I dread going there knowing I'll probably have to be rung up by him.
