I like the women that work here - they are professional and on top of their work. Bu the white male pharmacist....no. I asked him to transfer a medication from another pharmacy here, and when he called them at peak hours at 5 pm and had to wait 20 minutes on hold, he angrily called me and told me that he "doesn't have any more time to give them, have them call me," which is illegal and as a pharmacist he knows that is NOT how medication transfers go. He as the receiving pharmacist MUST call THEM. He is not exempt from the law. Must be nice to be a white male and expect people to bend over backwards for you during rush hour. Guess what - for those of us who aren't in that demographic, people DON'T do that for us, so we actually have to try over and over and over for results. He gave up on me as a patient after 20 minutes. Shame on him. I had high hopes for this pharmacy. read more

Literally never leave reviews but, making an exception here. Walked in to get my booster shot. All three offered. Process was incredibly easy. What stood it apart though was, before administering my shot, the pharmacist told me about the three different booster shots, made sure I was as informed as possible, and really seemed to care. I've never experienced that at a pharmacy before, even when I've had questions about the medications. Changing my pharmacy to here based on this experience alone. Highly recommend it if you need a COVID-19 vaccine / booster or a flu shot. read more

Convenient for me, literally down the alley. So why do I opt to come here than rite aid? Cause they are family owned. They carry a few necessities and the is never a line. You will be in and out in no time. They have everything and if they do not they will have it by the next day. Their hours are not as long as these other large establishments, but here you get more personalized service that you would never get at these other places. You can even refill your rx over the phone and they will have it ready for you. read more

Used to live in fells and went to Patterson park pharmacy. Moved across town and was hoping to move to another neighborhood drug store but this place is no Patterson park pharmacy. It's dusty and dark. Not well organized and the staff was rude. Won't be back. read more

So far, the perfect neighbourhood mom n' pop pharmacy. These are the pharmacists that will bend over backwards for you, and on an incredible fall day like today, walking there was a joy. Absolutely love this pharmacy. There are always friendly and the various pharmacists that work there are extremely helpful and always take time to answer questions I have about medications. Though small, their regular toiletries and other typical pharmacy fare is pretty comprehensive and whenever they have not had something I need, they have offered to order it for me (and it arrives same day or next day). Lines are either non-existent or one person ahead of you. They text you when your medication arrives, which is very convenient. The place has an amazing neighbourhood feel and I could not be happier with their service! I like them so much that I joined Yelp just to write this review. With a CVS set to open in the neighbourhood, I really hope that people continue to go to Mount Vernon Pharmacy and recognize the value of their personalized care services--you just cannot get that level of customer service at the bigger chains! read more
