Blah CVS. Considering this pharmacy is Rhode Island based; you would think this to be a flag ship location. Nope! It is derelict, next to an alley. Strange stragglers and drunks hang around. There were empty birth control packages and opened tooth brush packs on the sidewalk. Inside the carpets are hazy, fungussed and appear like a scene from the Dude in 'The Big Lebowski'. It stank. Thank god for this CVS and its staff. I came running here in search of an urgently needed healthcare item that the other CVS location down the street had run out of. It was 6:02 pm when I arrived; this location closes at 6 every day. Fortunately, after some explaining of the situation, the staff was willing to let me in and get me what we needed. read more

I just left CVS without getting anything because of the horrible service. I had come in to get some photos printed. After asking for help with the machine, I was informed the machine was not in service. I questioned why I wasn't told, as I had been on it for a couple minutes while the two staff stood by (literally 3 ft away) talking. The female associate with the glasses rudely told me that there was a sign on it. (There was, but it wasn't visible.) Later, when I went to purchase a few items in self-checkout, the items weren't ringing up correctly. I pressed the light for assistance, but after waiting for a minute without anyone coming by, while the same two associates were talking, I decided to leave. As I was leaving, the same female associate rudely shouted, "Excuse me! You have to pay for that." I informed her that I didn't take anything. When she saw the items still at the register, she didn't apologize for accusing me of stealing. I told her the items weren't ringing up correctly. She told me she would have to ring me up at the register. I went to the register, but decided I didn't want to buy anything from the store after being treated so badly. read more

The pharmacy technicians are by far the most unhelpful and incompetent I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with, especially the blue haired girl who always seems to be high. The staff doesn't explain any rules (or seem to know any rules) regarding prescriptions unless it's to deny you being able to pick up your medication. I tried doing what they told me but they always fail to mention another arbitrary rule that supersedes the one they previously told me to do. They also always give you generics even if the doctor explicitly states to give the brand name. I've never had any of these problems or any problem really at any other CVS except this one. They seriously need to re-train their technicians or get new employees. read more

Absolutely the worst CVS ever. I would rather walk 10 mins further to the one near Back Bay Station. The staff there are super nice but the manager (not sure if there is a different manager on site, went there today, Thurs afternoon) is rude. I had to talk to him regarding a transaction and he wont let me finish talking. Go take some managment classes or quit your job if you treat your customers like crap. read more

The service here is just terrible especially that red face man that's always in the front cashier. He's really rude and I finally had the time to write a review about this CVS. If you want convenience close to your home then go to this place if not then do your shopping some place else. I rather go to Whole Foods and Ink Block and pay more money. But my parents love to buy milk here because it's so close to them. I always hear my parents come home to complain about the employees here as well as the ones in the pharmacy. I've been coming here for years ever since the Store 24 closed down on Tremont St. The place is big and they have a wide selection of products, but lately this place has been more of an inconvenience store. Firstly as others pointed out, sale items are almost always sold out. Secondly on more than one occassion a severely discounted item (read 75% off) won't ring up at the register correctly. Has happened three times to me and if I hadn't been paying attention I would have paid full price (staff will give you the discounted price but ONLY if you happen to notice you are being over charged and point it out). Thirdly and really the whole reason for me writing this review, the place has been slowly removing products I happen to purchase... simple, everyday things a convenience store should have: popcorn kernels, sliced pepperoni, sour cream and onion ruffles, and 12 packs of Bounty. Except for the pharmacy and in dire need of tissues or drinks, I'll be going elsewhere to save myself a headache or two. read more

I stopped by this CVS to pick up a few things on the way to a friends party. The space is huge and laid out well, but like Robert Z. said, they were out of almost everything that was on sale. I grabbed the last two bags of chips that I needed (on sale) but after I got in the car I realized they didn't ring up as the sale price. That combined with not having the laundry detergent in stock that I was planning on getting and weeding through a terribly small selection of crackers was just not awesome. Nothing I needed that day was easy to get. There's nothing worse than needing to stop at a store to grab something and having the feeling that it's pointless to even stop because it won't be there anyway. I have no idea why people rate this CVS so low. It's clean and seems to be bigger than a typical CVS. I don't mind using the self check-out kiosks, so I never really deal with the staff but they seemed polite. It also seems to be really well stocked every time I go. read more

Not crazy about the pharmacy at times but overall I can't say enough about this store and wonderful the staff is. Store is always clean and orderly and the staff is just as great. This by far is the BEST CVS that I have shopped in. God, I'm there almost everyday. Keep up the great work and thank you for making this one CVS one of a kind. My only issue is the store constantly runs out of sale items because of a particular clientele. How about the rest of us?? You guys really need to get that under control. read more

Having a CVS next door is convenient. There's always something for me down there that I can buy. The weekly sales aren't bad, and most of the coupons that print out are useless to me. Other than that, the staff are friendly and never gives me a hard time. read more

I agree that rating no star is much more realistic. Last month I dropped off my prescription to be filled and was unaware of the Mass. law which states a prescription may only be filled within 5 days of the fill date listed on the script. I dropped it off on the fifth day and it was filled without any problems, and was advised that I could drop off the next month's script early and that the pharmacy would hold on to it and fill it on the date listed so that I would not run into the 5 day problem. Well, I dropped the script off 3 days before the fill date, and called 2 days after it was suppose to be filled to see if it was ready to be picked up. The woman on the phone advised me that my script was nowhere to be found and the only alternative was for them to call my doctor the next day to send the pharmacy a new script. This did not help me much because I needed to pick up the prescription on the day that it was suppose to be filled and would have to go a day without my medication because of their carelessness. When I asked if I could speak to a manager she informed me that there was none on duty, so I asked when the manager would be on duty, in which she responded "um I don't know, sometime next week." Incompetent people faulting me for them losing my prescription. Terrible, will not return to this CVS pharmacy. read more

Great place to buy snacks! Also this CVS have good customer service. They have a huge variety of snacks including chips, nuts, gum and etc. When you need something and something quick, this CVS will most likely have it! read more

I've not had any bad experiences with any of the staffs there EXCEPT for the security guard there. He pretended not to but in the corner of my eye I can see him gawking at my girlfriend which was kind of annoying. Their pharmacy staffs are always helpful and professional. The store is clean and I actually find the self check out to be quite practical and personally I can do without the human interaction (although it sucks that they so easily replaced people with machines which offers a little peek at what their corporate culture must be like... must be run by some pretty ruthless individuals at the top). read more
