And I seen a large water bottle full of what looked to be off colored orange juice or piss! Then a lovely woman came over and she smelled as the axe body spray my husband wore in the war. I almost hurled my last week turkey sandwich up from a delicious lunch with a side of pickles and coleslaw. It was the most amazing sandwich I had ever gobbled down but then I remembered I was in CVS. She asked me if the bottle was mine and I said no, she then proceeded to pick it up and drink it! She then spat it out at the poor man in the diapers isle. The whole place smelled of piss. It smelled like one of them gas station bath rooms for the public. I was astonished to see the woman laughing! Weird experience never coming back would not recommend. read more

This was back in January but my original post got taken down cause someone flagged it. I went into pick up a prescription and buy Tylenol, unfortunately I went during their lunch time so I decided to buy the Tylenol while I waited. The bottle was labeled for sale for $4.97. I went up to purchase and I entered my loyalty number and automatically tapped my card as I'm doing so I realized it rang up the original price and I immediately told her wait it was on sale we stopped and did NOT finish the transaction. She used her phone to scam the bottle and it didn't show up on sale either so I said I can show you the label. We left the transaction because again I told her to wait, we walked and she confirmed I grabbed the correct bottle and she would honor the sale price. As we get to the register she tells me she will have to refund me the original price and I said wait we never finished why do I need a refund and she confirmed that the transaction finished! She starts the refund process and tells me it would take the 2 business days for a refund and I said no that's not right that seems like fraud to me I never entered my pin I didn't finish anything. I was getting upset at this point and she says she can call over her manager which she did. She starts to ring up the Tylenol again at the sale price and the manager comes over and I tell him what happened and said that seems like fraud to me that you closed out the transaction even though it never actually finished he told me that it's not fraud and it's a "bug" that their system has. WHAT! I then again say this really seems like fraud and he then says it's not because fraud would be that they knowingly did this to me and again I repeated we stopped the transaction and he then tells the worker to refund me and I said we already did the refund he then tells her to give me cash I told him no I don't feel comfortable I am not the one trying to scam you but it's the principal why do I have to wait the 2-5 business days PLUS repurchase the item and again I believe that had a fraud pushing through that transaction in the first place. (I did get a cash refund plus the atm refund as well)And I said that's F'ing fraud what happened and he tells me to leave if I'm going to continue to swear at him at that point I said this is the calmest I will be. I will add I was not yelling but upset. So he again tells me to leave I said sorry no I will leave once I pick up my prescription and he tells me no you need to leave! I will go talk to the pharmacy and tell them to transfer your prescription. AGAIN WHAT!? I said no I'm not leaving he then refuses to sell me the Tylenol and tells me to leave and asks for my name and I said no and I'm not leaving you can call the cops, I'm going to wait for my prescription. I walk over to the pharmacy that will be open in less than 10 minutes and the manager walks to the pharmacy behind me and I just sit and wait, I'm assuming he is telling them that he wants them to transfer my meds, he then walks away and I said are they going to transfer them and he ignores me. I wait it out honestly waiting for the cops to come and I'm waiting because I've done nothing wrong! (They didn't come) the pharmacy opens and I'm the first one and who I'm assuming the tech is looking at me worried and then looking at the pharmacist then looking at me then she looks a back at him and he walks away for her to deal with me. She then tells me they will not serve me and that I need to leave, I tell her I just want you to send it to another location and again she says we will not serve or send it to another location and I tell her I have 2 infections I just wanted to my meds sent elsewhere. She then tricks me and asks me where I want it sent and I tell her the new location the city, the street she then asks my name and information and medication and I tell her then again said we will NOT send it to another location. I left after that a called cvs cooperative against the manager and the pharmacist. A district manager Cortney called and I missed the call and she NEVER CALED back and the pharmacist complaint was handled by cooperate because according to cvs they were never to deny transferring my meds or asking me to leave. read more

The pharmacy drive thru was not too long however even though we called in the prescription so it would be ready it was not ready. We had to go out of the line just to go back 15 minutes later to pick up the prescription. 3 stars only because we were offered a discount without even asking. I thought Walgreens in Clayton was bad, with the exception of Natalie, Sherman and Karen, but moving to Brentwood and coming here has been torture. This is the worst pharmacy under the sun. 20 minutes and not one customer called. The line is 10 person deep and nothing is happening. There is one guy at the window and he's dealing with an issue and zero assistance from anyone else back there. Worst part was an obviously unstable senior male was attempting to stand with his cane and wait. He was already in line when I came in....so who knows how long he had been there in line. There was a gentleman in street clothes, sweat type pants, t-shirt, hat on backwards who almost tromped on my foot as he pushed his way around to the area of the consulatation counter....to go into the aisle shopping. Next thing, he's reaching into that area, grabbing an RX bag with a bottle in it. He tucks it back and then appears to be hiding it to the right side of the window. If this is a pharmacy employee, you need to do better....because it looks like you just had a person steal an RX and hide it out of sight. If this was a thief....yinz are really bad at your jobs with leaving access to RX's within a grown adult males reach. We have 3 RX'e here. It's been bad to the 10th degree in the last year. Calling, texting, texting again, giving demands to pick it up, but I have to come 3-4 times to even get it because I don't have an hour to stand here. Why are there 3 people, only on a Saturday? Why is no one ever helpful? Customers are treated like they are a bother, I almost feel their disappointment of being unable to lecture me next because 2 allergy nasal sprays don't give them any power. Zero employees at the front registers...when I came in, nor when I left... Our 3 RX's are being transferred today. This place is so BAD that I will drive to Concord to use a normal pharmacy. And with how bad the traffic is to and from....and I'd rather drive 2 hours in traffic to get customer service than have any part of this place. That should tell you how bad. read more

Subject CVS does not answer the phone. And I do not expect them to. They have one cashier and they have one person stocking the shelves. The telephone is in the front of the store by the cashier. If you call the store and the cashier is busy checking out a line of people at the cash register, The cashier is not going to answer the phone. And I understand. They are not going to answer the phone if they have a line of people at the register. The cashiers do a great job. Also, when I call the store and when they do answer the phone, When I ask them if they carry a certain item in the store some of them know and some of them do not know. I do not expect the employees to know all the items in the store. It is better to look it up online on the CVS website. CVS does not have a customer service department like the Target stores do. read more

Probably one of the worst pharmacies in Brentwood. Half the reviews on here are about prescription refills and I 100% believe that they delay and don't fill people medications on purpose and here's why. On 2 separate occasions, I've had my medication get delayed 3 days in a row, it's a very specific medication that I need to take on time on Sunday. While waiting for my refill they delayed it on Tuesday, again on Wednesday, again on Thursday and it finally said my medication would be ready ON Friday......two days before I'm supposed to take it????? That's ridiculous. Friday comes around I check my app and see my prescription is DELAYED for the 4th time, at the point I was fed up and over it, I finally decided to go in person and ask the pharmacy why they kept delaying my medication. The desk guy took my information and said "it should be able 15 minutes" I sit in the chair to the side for literally 5 minutes and he calls me up and says my prescription is ready??????? Absolutely ridiculous!!! Like so you're telling ME you delayed my prescription on purpose 4 times in the app but when I COME in PERSON you fill my medication in 5 minutes? Absolute shit show of a staff and communication from this pharmacy, I've gone here for years and the service never changes it's always like this, it is always TERRIBLE. Poor customer service. I dread going in or through drive through its always an annoying experience. Painfully slow, lack of communication. One example of many. Oh my goodness what kind of place is they never answered the phones they put you on hold ..You have to leave messages and it always put you on hold and as always misinformation they needed to be trained more better. The medication I ordered is wife or death . My husband needed pills for his diabetes. and his machine to test his sugar level and for one week this is an ongoing issue back-and-forth only reason why I'm going here is because my insurance only covers this place. Disappointing experience. The staff are rude and seem to be following customers around, watching them all the time as if we were going to steal something. I felt terrible and uncomfortable. As many people have said, slow for no reason. Terrible drive through and remarkably slow to fill prescriptions. It is all true. Horrible customer service. Never notifies me when prescriptions are ready except when they decide to inappropriately autorefill. They have not answered their phone even once in 2 years. I've probably tried 40 times over those 2 years. They never contact my doctor to resolve issues even though they say they do. Not do they let me know there is an issue. I'll be finding another pharmacy. The last issue is just a minor issue, but their front staff can't speak English, are very slow, and get a lot wrong. read more

If only there were a negative stars option, I would give them -5. Idiot that I am, I attempted to get a flu shot at this location. I should know better given the 100% negative experience I have had with this place over the past 8 years. A flu shot would probably be WAY beyond their capabilities on their best day. Expecting them to get that accomplished from an appt scheduled on the CVS web site was foolish of me. I got there. Checked in as per the text I was sent. Received confirmation and told on app to go to vacc waiting area in store and they would be "right with me." Not so much. After 5-10 minutes I went to counter. Young lady looked like deer in headlights, but told be they would be right with me. After another 5-10 minutes I went back to counter. At this point same young lady said she had no idea I was there - because the online reservation system does not work seemlessly with store - but she would let someone know. After another 5 minutes went back to counter and was told by snotty pharmacist that I didn't check in at right place. She told me to move 5 feet to my right to check in. I moved 5 feet. She told me I was checked in now and to go sit in vacc waiting area. After 5-10 more minutes I left with no shot. Worst of all I receive an email that says I got the shot in my left deltoid and this info is also conveyed to my insurance company and the CA vacc registry. Not only is that falsifying my medical record, it will make it difficult to actually get my flku shot this year (because it looks like I already had it). read more

For some reason they have to close the pharmacy for lunch. The pharmacy has multiple people working and for some reason they think that they should all go to lunch together. What they should do is stagger their lunches so that they can remain open during business hours. The store itself does not close for lunch, just the pharmacy. read more

This is a review of the pharmacy. The pharmacists here are so smug and arrogant. Okay, we get it, you're smart, educated, and have money. Totally fine to think you're god's gift to the universe, but please treat your clients with some dignity and respect. Some of the pharmacy staff members are fine. Others are not. It takes forever to get through the line queue in the car or in person because of one particular staff member. Anyone that reads this probably knows who I am talking about. Overall, my best advice is to stay healthy so you don't have to be on medications that require a trip here. read more

I was trapped in the drive through line for 45 min. Yes you read that right... 45 minutes!! Finally the people behind me started leaving so I could get out. Originally I was third in line and waited nearly 20 min before the line moved. I stayed, thinking "surely that person had issues and the person in front of me will be much quicker". Nope. When I have time to go back to pick up my prescription I'll walk inside instead, hopefully that will be faster. read more

FYI- I been running around trying to look for Covid self tests. This was my 3rd store. They have signs all over saying they are currently out of stock HOWEVER, I saw a lady with her kid just walk out with tests in her hand so I decided to ask at the register. Low and behold, they have them! Cashier said, yes we have them but are low in stock..I don't understand why they have signs up saying they are out of stock? I would advise if you have the option to get your medication filled at another pharmacy completely or even another CVS pharmacy altogether...! Avoid the CVS pharmacy...! The wait times are ridiculously long when trying to get in contact with someone via phone. I had been on hold one time for 45 minutes trying to get information on getting my prescription filled and then again 30 minutes and then again 20 minutes or so. I ended up just giving up ...so I might have to inconveniently go into the store to get in contact with someone so I can get my medication filled. Also, the drive-through lines at this Balfour CVS location are always also ridiculously long too and take forever to pick up your meds. --it just seems like they are always under staffed and never have enough employees working at one time hence the long wait times etc Also, the staff and pharmacist are not the nicest at this location either. They always seem to make up their own 'rules' and it always changes depending on which pharmacist you're speaking with regarding filling your medication, etc. read more

Pros - Drive thru pharmacy - Pharmacy Service and staff quick n easy, during early afternoon hours - plenty of parking spots Cons - occasional long lines as this location serves quite a large community - hit and miss on cosmetics inventory. I use a lot of my extra care coupons for cosmetics. Often find what's missing @ CVS 2nd street location - only 1 or 2 staff members are nice! read more

Let me tell you about my recent CVS experience: On September 24 at approximately 2 o'clock in the afternoon I went into my local CVS (Brentwood, CA; Fairview Ave and Balfour Rd) to pick up Benadryl (both oral and cream) for my 9 year old daughter exhibiting a raised rash on her face. My husband and two children stayed in the car while I ran in. I brought a small bag of trash with me which I was hoping to throw away outside before going in. I looked around the exterior of the store, but couldn't find a trash can. I then proceeded inside where I found 3 associates standing behind the register area at the front of the store. I asked if they had a trash can back there that I could use. I was told no, that they don't throw away other people's trash.... Okay, I then asked if there was a trash can I missed outside because I'd looked for it. One of the associates, Laura, told me, 'no, we don't want rats and we don't want your trash.' I then said, 'it's really too bad that you guys don't have a trash can because it encourages people to liter.' Your employee, Laura, then began shouting at me across the store about me wanting to throw my trash away. 'why should we take your trash?' 'Throw your trash away at home!' 'We don't want your trash', etc. I stopped before proceeding through the store and asked for her name. She told me it was Laura and I approached her to check her name tag. I then told all three employees that I wouldn't be shopping in that store and that I would be calling the manager about Laura's behavior. Laura told me that she, 'hopes I would' and then proceeded to FOLLOW ME OUTSIDE THE STORE SCREAMING AT ME. I stopped to take a photo of the managers information outside the doors and she continued to follow me, yelling about my bag of trash. My children and husband were in my car watching her follow me and wondering what was going on. I turned around at one point to see her with her phone out, perhaps taking video or photos of me..... I have NEVER been treated like this by any employee at any store I have ever shopped in. I am a mother of two children and an active member of my community. Today, I was treated like a criminal by one of your employees in public BECAUSE I ASKED ABOUT A TRASH CAN! I was a Human Resources manager for a large retailer for 12 years. I would NEVER have allowed an employee to behave like this to any customer! I can only hope that this isn't the type of service that CVS wishes for their employees to give their customers. I phoned this local store to speak to the manager, Rob. He is on vacation until 9/30. I look forward to speaking to him about this. I also reached out to CVS corporate to get the district managers name. I'm looking forward to speaking with them, as well. To have an employee become so unhinged about a customers request for a trash can is really quite disturbing! It really makes me question the standards CVS has for their employees working within a store and interacting with their customers. read more

I was there around 7 pm with my 2 children. The lady was very rudely ask me not to try a lipstick! And she warned my 3 year old child not to run and ask my 9 year old already open cap slime whether she open or not the cap. I left the store immediately dont wanna argue in front of my children. So after the dentist I went here everything was fine, no lines for the pharmacy this young black women was helping me I couldn't talk I just had surgery n she seem to understand n help me any... I few minutes later after a line started n by now two people came back from lunch n 4 on computers one of the ladies on the computer yell can u help the customer which she was she was helping me!! it just seem they were rude to this young women cuz when I started she was the only one there n if they didn't like the line maybe the computer ladies could get up n help.
