This review is about the pharmacy staff esp the female pharmacist. The blatant disrespectful, unprofessional and unethical treatment I received from the pharmacist is disgusting to say the least. A prescription had been sent by my daughters surgeon to this cvs as the cvs closer to me was out of stock, and that pharmacist who's great, said another cvs pharmacy would fill and not only did the pharmacist refuse to fill this prescription that in no way violates FDA regulations as she proclaimed as well as stating by law she can't fill it as it is not approved by the FDA, also that it's not allowed for that type of surgery; she caused further pain & distress to my 3 year old daughter who had just had surgery in that this whole ordeal took over 2 hours, caused added unnecessary pain & suffering to my child, & as a disabled Veteran with PTSD the stress and treatment I received caused me to have a panic attack! First upon going to pick up prescription the pharmacy tech lied and stated my insurance won't cover so they won't fill, yet they do cover it, and me saying I'd pay out of pocket my child needs the medicine then to have the pharmacist lie to me it's not FDA approved and she won't fill. I then went outside and called surgeons office as well as looked up FDA regulations and the surgeon's office specializing in pediatrics stated they've never had this issue with this prescription and to read that it is not not approved by the FDA was infuriating. Surgeons office called over and spoke to pharmacist when I went back in she still refused to fill prescription then when I informed her it in fact isn't illegal, it is utilized for that type of surgery at times as she had lied and stated before it wasn't; she then retracted and said it's "contradicted" so I said since it's not illegal and you've spoken to the doctor directly and she also confirmed it is allowed she then started saying she's the one with the degrees and this is her field of expertise, insulting me as if I were stupid because she was proved wrong. FYI your degrees do not matter, yet clearly your degrees didn't teach you about common decency and how to be professional, do your job, & fill my baby's prescription! Then when I told her she's jeopardizing my child's health and needs to fill the prescription or have another pharmacist fill it she said she was calling the cops on me; and she did. I waited outside for LE to show up. Upon speaking to the police I was informed she had lied on me to them claiming harassment and discrimination, like what!? The police officers said after all that hassle and it being approved why would I want to give cvs my money to try and have doctor send prescription elsewhere and then they went in and spoke to her. After speaking to the pharmacist the police came back outside saying nothing to me and proceeded to get in their cars. The pharmacist then came out huffing and puffing shaking her head and spoke to the police again they must of told her to go inside because she turned around and walked back into the store disgruntled, but needed to stare me down while walking past my car. I drove up the street to a completely different pharmacy and what do you know the prescription was lawful and written correctly abiding by FDA regulations, I received no hassle, no refusal based on lies and sheer laziness to do her job, no disrespect, no making my baby wait over 2 hours for medicine she needed & filled in 10 minutes and that's with having to implement her insurance. Disgusting, ridiculous and it never ever should of happened; nor should my child or I been subjected to or put through this!!! read more

Who runs this pharmacy? Sat parked in line behind someone who was waiting for Covid testing. It took about 25 minutes just for them to get the test! Why was this person not instructed to get out of the line while waiting and making everyone behind them wait? Has this CVS Pharmacy lost all common sense? Of course, I had no idea what was going on the whole time I waited...until I saw her drop the test kit in the box. Cars pulled up behind me, got frustrated and left. If someone is going to get Covid testing through the drive-thru and it's going to take you more than 20 minutes JUST to give them the test, have them come around or pull over so the line can keep flowing. Just reeks of laziness and incompetence...maybe they all hate their jobs and don't respect the customer's time! read more

CVS now stands where Long's use to be. I liked Long's and had for many years. The CVS take over leaves me wanting a little. I feel like the selections on a few things has been hurt. Small picture frame selection comes to mind. I've found myself leaving without what I need more often than not. It seems like they carry a lot of food and drugs and less of everything else. I usually won't go to a store like this for food, and I usually get drugs where I get food. Maybe I'll learn to love you, CVS, but not yet. read more

Just want to give people a heads up about my experience. Scheduled and obtained a COVID test which is expected to result in 1-2 days; yesterday go a notification that the lab did not run my test. I called the minute clinic to find out why my test wasn't ran; she said she is not sure but the lab just did not run the test! As a RN that works in a hospital, this is unacceptable and unprofessional behavior, there is no way in my profession a lab specimen is collected and the lab just doesn't run the test with no further explanation. I choice the minute clinic for testing because of the 1-2 day turn around time; so now I looking for another quick COVID test so that I can start NP school this week read more

First of all I just want to say I've always been a CVS shopper I grew up going to the CVS in Martinez so when I moved to Brentwood the CVS on Fairview has become my new regular. However I'm sadly NEVER coming to this CVS again. I went to buy a couple nail polishes and some water. I got in line and asked the cashier Joshua if I could just get the price on one of the nail polishes because I found it in a random spot with no price tag. He told me there was a price check on aisle 16? I said I'm already making this purchase can't you just tell me the price before I purchase? It doesn't seem fair for me to get in line all over again over a price check? He then rolled his eyes and sighed and charged off to the price check. He came back and told me the price and started ringing things up. I had a 24 pack of water in my cart and this guy was having issues with the scanner reaching it. I asked him if I could help him- he ignored me while muttering curse words under his breath. Completely unprofessional and so uncomfortable. He then leaned over and propped my water bottle pack up on its side- still muttering curse words mind you- and then slams the waters back down in my cart! I was so shocked I've never been so uncomfortable or treated with such hostility and rudeness in my life. read more

Literally just got home from here. I go here often. First I did a return.My cashier was Marilyn said she was going to give me a "money card" but she made a mistake and gave me cash instead. Ok cool whatever I'll use it for my next transaction. I had 4 items and of those 4 items I had 3 coupons that I just printed from the kiosk. When I went to check out Marilyn was saying my coupons weren't matching my phone number. Ummmm I just printed those with that exact number on The kiosk! She calls the manager over and he overrides it. But since something isn't working I can't use the coupons I had linked to my card. So annoying. Anyways... By this time there is a long line form in behind me. I give her my money and she was supposed to give me $4 back. She gives me my receipt and take my things and go. I walk outside and I'm looking at my receipt and it's saying she didn't use one of my coupons which would take 40% off. I went to the dollar tree really quick and while I was paying for something there I realize Marilyn didn't give me my change. I head back and let her know that she didn't use my coupon and she didn't give me my change back. She says umm I have gave you your money back. No, Marilyn. No you didn't . I double checked before I came back in here. She calls her manager and he says they did use my coupon and that they did give my money back. But how would he know... he walked away as soon as he overrode the coupons. In the end she gave me my $4 back. But she was beyond rude and totally made me feel like I was trying to pull a fast one. Hire some people with better customer service! Make sure they don't get so flustered when the line gets long that they forget everything they were taught to do and get rid of the rude ass "I'm better than you smirk"! I have never been treated so rude in my life. My 2 year old daughter and I came here. (we live across the street so its a nice walk for us). We noticed a bit of garbage in front of the store, so trying to teach my daughter good habitats, we gathered it up to throw it away. To our surprise there was no garbage can outside. So we walked in and asked where we could throw it. The young man at the counter didn't even look up at us and simply said "no garbage here". I asked again, where can we throw this garbage that was out front? He again did not look us and said we would have to walk across the street. This is absolutely crazy to me. Not only to treat a mother and baby this way, but that they don't have a place to throw things away? It make sense now why there is so much garbage all over the front of the store. To Connie S. First of all my entire community and I have been with CVS for ever, dealt with a thousand pharmacists and a million technician! FYI Nancy is the most professional, hard working and pleasant technician my family and I ever had to deal with. The customers, no matter how Shitty their day is and regardless of any personal issues whether social, psychological, or other, shouldn't take their Shit out on the hard working staff, who are capable of doing so much better, yet stay in the business of serving those like yourself. Having a problem with a 10 cent bag, then let me tell you that you're in the wrong state for such argument. And if you're that unhappy, there's always another pharmacy across the parking lot from the one you don't like, or actually spiritual healing might be a better suggestion in this case. If you show such attitude in a restaurant, the staff would wipe their butt whole with your food before they serve it to you, so don't you dare take out your personal problems on any hard worker trying to earn an honest living! read more

Super helpful staff. We need to fill multiple Rx's every month. I don't need much except for Birthday cards and an occasional band-aid. Retail stores are suffering from Amazon taking over many of our day to day needs. We need our medications done correctly and that is why we love this CVS Pharmacy. read more

Went here on the verge of puking to get emergenC& sprite. I could have went to food maxx which is way closer to my home then cvs, but I wasn't sure foodmaxx has emergenC & DEFINITELY didn't want to have to stop@ 2 places to search for it. Today at approximately 1225 I stopped to drop off my prescription dated 7/21/16. The tech who works the drop off window (she has glasses short redish permed hair) looked at the script walked away and came back with a nasty attitude. Looked at me and stated, this date has been altered! Just her condescending look and voice set me on edge. I replied it's not altered. Check my history. She replied back it is and the Dr should no better or someone should. Looking at me like I'm a criminal and liar. I left went to my Drs office and the script was rewritten! I returned 15 minutes later. She took it showed it the pharmacist and returned back to me. She replied, "do you want a text when it's ready." No I'm sorry about what happened, nothing! If this wasn't Workmans comp I would go somewhere else. Rude rude, rude! They need a course in customer service! Just so not professional! read more

I was warmly greeted by the cashier when I entered the store. I found the items I was sent to get and proceeded to the front of the store to pay. There was a line so another cashier came to assist (great). I was helped by the second cashier. She asked if I had a CVS Rewards card or phone number to use and I answered no. I purchased a blood pressure cuff for a family member and saw a sign saying rewards members received $10 for this purchase. When I paid for all my items and was given my change and receipt, the cashier reminded me that the reward was there to use. I replied great, I'll see if my aunt has a card. At that time the cashier says, "Oh I can't give you that part of the receipt. I used my number". And she tore the $10 reward off! I left a little confused and angry! Seems like theft or fraud! How many other customers without rewards cards is she reaping the rewards from?? Her name was Theresa by the way. read more

This is solely for the pharmacy. I has the unfortunate experience of going to this cvs pharmacy today. I usually go to the one in San Jose and have zero issues. This one however, left me beyond frustrated. I inform them when I get there I usually go to the CVS in San Jose, do I need to do anything different being it's my first time at this location. They say no, take my script and tell me to come back in 2 hours. I come back 3 hours later, for them to tell me, it's not ready give them another 30 mins. So I give them another hour. I come back, she rings me up and the cost is 3x what is normally is at the other CVS. When I ask why, she makes a call and basically said yeah that's the price. I'm like did you even check to make sure you have my insurance in there. She said yes but the total is what it is. I am beyond frustrated, when nothing on my end has changed except for the CVS location I went to. Everything else, insurance, prescriptions are all exactly the same. I will never deal with this cvs pharmacy again. 3 times I came there today to get this done, walked away empty handed. A complete waste of my time and energy. Maybe get some reps in there that know what they are doing, this was a total joke. read more

I would have to say this is the most satisfied experience I have had in a long time with customer service. I needed to grab some wrapping paper for Christmas and as I approached the checkout stand, there was a absolutely delightful woman named Rita. She greeted me with such a warmth and jubilistic attitude. She had such kindness to her and wonderful customer service. She made small talk as well as well as kept it professional. It is extremely hard to find a great employee that has the whole package and makes your shopping experience not only less stressful, but delightful at that! Was very impressed today! Antioch CVS didn't have my sons meds available even though for the past three years my son has gotten the same meds every month. But thank goodness Brentwood CVS had them. Great customer service is so hard to find recently! I came in to just get some items I needed but ended up leaving with some great clearance finds that I had a couple of coupons for. As I went to the check out I was unpleasantly greeted by Gary the cashier who had patience of a 2 year old. The whole time Gary was ringing up all my items he had to put all the prices in manually because they were on clearance. Judging by his sighing, rolling of his eyes, and throwing my products on the counter, he was not happy about it. Finally after everything was rang up ( thank goodness for Gary) I gave him my coupons and he began to scan them. My rewards weren't scanning and he told me he could not use them because they wont ring up. I had the CVS card that matched my rewards and they were not expired, they were also for the exact product I was buying so there was no reason for him to not accept it. He called over the manager after I had to ask for her and she was even worse! Becky was her name. She said the numbers on the rewards didn't match my card even though they both had my name on it. I only have one CVS card this was just plain ridiculous at this point. Right in the middle of me asking her if they can put it in manually she just got up and walked away. Its so irritating to know that even a manager cant fix a simple problem or manually put it in. To top it all off he asked "Do you even want a bag"? Why yes I do want a bag for all 45 items I bought, what did you think I was going to do with everything put in my purse? I have a big purse but not big enough to store all items I bought. Last time I checked Brentwood doesn't require you to pay 10 cents for a bag anyways. Even if they did I would still want a bag! I will NEVER return to this location. One of the worst customer service I have ever received at any CVS. You guys should be ashamed for the way you treat people. read more

If the price matched with another store and he basically told me he couldn't help me. He would rather stock the shelves instead of helping a customer. Used to frequent this location.... however recently I was in line to check out (middle aged Asian woman was the cashier) and I noticed she was taking a long time to complete the transaction just before mine, no problem, I hopped over to the other cashier who just finished his guest but had a woman run to get in line in front of me (with a huge cart full of items) ok.... no problem.... I walk back over to the first register and return my 3 items to the belt and the Asian cashier says OH ACTUALLY MY LANE IS CLOSED, YOU'LL HAVE TO GO TO ANOTHER CASHIER. (only one other cashier btw, just beginning a long transaction, other people moving to get in line behind already) but... Ok...I get it, you have other tasks, I work in retail, I KNOW, but I was standing in your line less than 20 seconds ago with my items on your belt and you can see that the only other cashier is going to be a long while now before he finishes, you really can't just ring my 3 items? All I said to her was that "I had just been here and got bounced over from the other register" and she said SORRY I HAVE TO GO and walked away. Said thanks for the help, left my items, and won't be coming back. As I've said before, I get the struggle, I deal with people all day too, but I personally don't think it would have taken too much effort to ring an individual's very small transaction, especially in this situation. Holy shit. Seriously. About 9 out of 10 times I go to this godforsaken pharmacy, I have an issue. I receive daily injections and was prescribed 1" needles because the previous 1.5" needles were too long. My doctor prescribed the 1" needles. Went to pick up my scrip... 1.5" needles... I pointed out that they were the incorrect length. The pharmacy tech (short tiny Asian lady with black shoulder length hair and an accent) proceeds to tell me that was what was prescribed and that's how the order was filled. Bullshit. I called my doctor guess what? 1" needles were prescribed. The tech tried to get me to take the needles anyway... Um no. I also had another prescription that I no longer take and was not needed. I explained that to the tech. Told her I didn't need it. She basically strong armed me into taking the prescription. Fine whatever, it's covered by insurance. I told them to get the correct needles. I emailed my doctor and asked to make sure they followed up with the idiots that work at CVS. About two hours later I got a phone call from the pharmacist. She told me that they accidentally filled the wrong scrip. OH REALLY? So I was right??? Go figure!!! I'm pretty sure I know what I'm supposed to have, cause you know, I pay attention like that. She told me she was sorry, and apologized about 100 times. She told me the prescription will be ready tomorrow. So another trip to the pharmacy. This is only 1 of about literally 25 issues I have had from being given the incorrect medication, conflicting medication, being told over the phone they have my meds, but then when I went to pick up the meds, they didn't have them , not being able to process my credit card, the list goes on and on. How people can just be so nonchalant about medications or medical equipment is beyond me. Thank god I'm not on heart meds or something that is needed to save my life because these people are idiots. read more

Horrible customer service. I would never go here if my insurance offered any other choice. I have had nothing but trouble trying to get every single prescription filled. The most recent debacle was getting stuck in the phone loop trying to talk to a human to find out when my prescription will be ready. It took 4 times through to get to a person. After sitting on hold for several minutes, when she got to me, she hung up. A complete waste of my time. The pharmacy staff is the worst group of non professionals I have ever seen. There is no customer service! They are rude and don't recognize problems presented to them. The particular pharmacist on duty at the time of my reordering process refused to speak with me. The assistant walked away from me as was I was attempting to explain that I was leaving the country and that my physician faxed a script for a refill. I feel my health is threatened by their lack of discipline. Have mentioned this to several friends in my community and some agree. I will never set foot in a CVS store again. read more

Very disappointed in this pharmacy. I have been using this pharmacy for 5 years with my CVS card that has not changed. Usually the ladies in the pharmacy are wonderful to work with. Not today! I had to deal with Nancy, very rude,demeaning,and a lack of professionalism and customer service. I gave her my items and she asked me for my CVS number which I gave her my phone number. Her tacky and snarky response was NO in a sarcastic manner. I responded that is my number,she enters it again and again her snarky response NO. I explained I have not changed my number and this always happens here. I also said I pick up my prescriptions here all the time with this number. She was just very unpleasant to work with and I told her she was very rude and I have always had such great service with all the ladies in the pharmacy. I asked to see a manager so she called over the pharmacist who tried to defend her in terms of not finding the account. I explained to him it's no longer about the number it is about the lack of customer service and her attitude. He had no backbone and basically agreed. As I continued to check out she had a smirk on her face and I said to her I'm glad yo think this is so funny. She then had the pharmacist finish checking me out, then they had the nerve when I asked for a bag to charge me 10 cents. Very disappointing and the pharmacist no backbone or professionalism.
