I absolutely love this CVS and visit it often. The recent re-organization of the store & new self-checkout kiosks make the shopping experience even better. This is my first Yelp review ever and I'll try to keep it short. I barely go here because it's unorganized and isn't usually well stocked. But in personal desperation today I needed to buy a pregnancy test at a drugstore I knew had self service. Of course, immediately the machine I was using didn't read my card and said assistance was coming. This guys shows up right away, swipes his employee card, seems to get the system working, then proceeds to stand there staring at me. First he commented on how much my total was and asked me what I was buying. How the hell is that appropriate at all? What world is this guy living in? Then he tells me how pretty I am while I'm punching in my pin number and asks me if I have a boyfriend. I was already so emotional because of the pregnancy scare and this dude was just making it worse! He was completely delusional! I told him how inappropriate he was being and that he should be ashamed to be talking to a customer, or any person like that, and he seemed shocked and said he didn't mean any disrespect. GTFO of here!!!!!!!!! Even though this is the closest drugstore to my home, I will NEVER, EVER go here again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel sick just thinking about the experience. read more

I ran in here desperately looking for a restroom and figuring I'd have luck at CVS because every other one I've been to has had one but when I asked a worker where to find it, panic in my voice because it was an emergency, he informed they they didn't have one and wouldn't let me use the one they obviously have for employees. I'm so disappointed in people/businesses who lack empathy and can't be decent human beings. read more

CVS is a uselful store. It has everything I need when I'm in a hurry. But today when I visited my cousins from Brooklyn and we decided to walk down to this jail of a store. The employees sound like they give no fucks at all and want to die right in the birthday card isle. One of my cousins told me a little story about a bitch, who in this case I will call Paula because I don't know her real name. Anyway, he told me that Paula was negativly conversating with his mother, so the 3 of us decided to piss the bitch off. We started off by asking questions that are pretty obvious to answer, next we humiliated her by asking if the store sold Betty Crocker products, which in this case she didn't even know. We started rolling cat food in the same isle that she was in. And finally, I took 4 coloring books for kids, went up to Paula, and asked her which one she recommended. She said it was a "hard question" and said she'd be right back. She never came back. I hate this store, and I'm not even giving it a rating. We're coming back today, just for a laugh or two. I don't think I've ever not had a problem picking up a script at this pharmacy. I always call ahead of time to make sure it'll be ready, but then it's either not ready, or they can't find it, or it's out of stock, or there was some glitch with receiving the script, etc. The workers are pleasant enough, but my god are they (or whoever supervises) incompetent. read more

I am a resident of Kensington, having lived here since 1980. You'd think with all the gentrification happening in the area that CVS would be better. Alas, this is not the case. I went here on Tuesday to buy the 14 pound box of Arm & Hammer cat litter currently on sale for just $6. After checking for the product on the shelves, I asked one of the workers who proceeded to tell me, "we don't have it." It was only by talking to the manager that I discovered the product was available!!! In fact, the manager brought out 2 boxes for me. Not good - the lack of communication is startling!!! I also have to say, sadly, the store rarely looks clean. However, I do like the checkout kiosks - even if the malfunction periodically. read more

I was taking care of business at the pharmacy and was very pleased with the friendly staff. I did have to wait a bit but that's expected when you go during rush hour. The staff did take care of everyone very professionally. I will be going back for more things in the future. read more

It's never hard to find a store employee to help you at this store. Just go to the E. 5th St. side of the store. You'll find most of them outside smoking. The self service checkout machines are really great, especially when you need to purchase something that kept is behind the counter. A catch-22 if there ever was one. This store is a clusterfuck of inefficiency. read more

this place seriously needs more workers! theres nobody to help you with anything! theres like two kids running the whole store that keeps pointing to the self pay machine! what a joke! lets just say if i want to walk out with $100 bucks worth of stuff,it would be that easy! i watch the alarm go off constantly and the workers just laugh! oh yea,and their favorite part of the day is when they tell you the photo printing machine is broken or temporarily out of service! they just love that! read more

Does anybody actually work in CVS? Products are misplaced in counters. Customer service at this place is an all time low. The pharmacist seem to be very obnoxious and they close 30 minutes early. Self check out computers always malfunction. Lines take forever. Probably better service at the Church Avenue Walgreen read more
