CVS Pharmacy, LPSC: I rarely leave a review but my experience at this store has changed for the worse. If you are looking for friendly, helpful staff, look elsewhere. I arrived early for my appointment but waited over 10 minutes at the counter, with the pharmacist right in front of me and no one else in line, with no acknowledgement. Clear vibe was 'just don't interrupt me'. Finally, I was asked what I wanted and I explained that I had an appointment for a vaccine. Again, I waited and waited, the pharmacist disappearing into the back. I almost left as it was well past my appointment time. I can understand the pressures of being understaffed but customer courtesy---lacking entirely here---goes a long way. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. Four times, I spoke with the CVS pharmacy in Lawrence Park, Broomall, asking why my mother's diabetic test strips were not covered in full by Medicare. They kept telling me it was because it was available over-the-counter, and Medicare Part B would not pay. Mind you, Rite Aid had been providing her supplies for years with no problems. I eventually called Medicare directly. They told me the extra charge was because CVS charges more than the Medicare allowance, and that my mother would be responsible for the difference. CVS REFUSED TO TELL ME THIS, but when I got Medicare on the phone in a three-way call, they admitted that was the reason. I have since transferred her scripts to another pharmacy. As far as I'm concerned, CVS is a bunch of crooks. read more

Good afternoon to my Yelp Family!!! I have patronized this CVS location many times, but I have never written a review. I visited this CVS location on Thursday, April 16th, 2020 because I wanted to purchase peppermints in a container. The Walmart in Glenolden, where I usually purchase them, were all sold out. This CVS had 4 containers of them. I was so elated!!! I purchased three of them. I didn't want to be greedy, I left one for someone else. Also, I wanted to purchase vinegar and baking powder. CVS had the vinegar, but no baking powder. Oh well, thats ok, I guess, folks are baking more because of Covid 19. Check -out time was relatively quick. I was able to go to self-checkout. I checked myself out and while there I spoke to a CVS associate. The CVS associate was extremely nice and polite. I asked for extra bags for my mom and the young man obliged. Also the Lady associate was most helpful. CVS is my first choice of pharmacies. Rite Aid, I usually do not patronize, only for Keri Lotion, because of Mom liking it. I just found out that Walmart carries it too. Walgreen's is ok. Not a huge fan! But CVS is my first choice of a pharmacy and my shopping experience was nice and uneventful. I was in and out and I was able to obtain all of my items except the baking powder. I will definitely be back to shop again!!! Til the next review!! Good night everyone!!! read more

Oh man, how upset I was with the service today. I have been coming to this CVS for over a decade and never had a bad experience until today. My mom and I came in to get a passport photo done and out came the manager, Daniel. When he asked what we wanted, I mentioned my mom wanted a passport photo. He blatantly rolled his eyes at us before getting the camera. He then gets the camera and forcefully pulls the screen down. We thought it was going to break. It was extra than needed, as I understand you need to tug the screen for it to stay in place. He then snaps one picture instead of a few and takes it to the printer. Doesn't show my mom a preview before printing, which I know isn't usual when taking pictures. While waiting to process the pictures, he was talking to the elderly cashier about how no one is working here anymore, people quit and the new girl is already fired. Sounds like the that elderly cashier is out after this week. He then sees through the entrance that he Fedex truck was coming in and he was being demanding to the elderly cashier to get that stuff. Finally, the pictures printed and he gave it to my mom "here, you can pay at the register" and left. Daniel, take a look in the mirror, people are leaving because it sounds like you are a nightmare to work for. People leave terrible managers. This CVS used to have a lot of employees even on a weekday. read more

The CVS was very well-stocked but is the staff there couldn't be bothered to help me find any cocoa butter which I needed for a wound care patient that was recommended by a doctor. There are many more options here as opposed to other local outlets of this type. Just don't expect great service here. read more

The female pharmacist is inappropriate, hard of hearing and rude. She has no business being in retail pharamacy

An update-the replacement drugs that Caremark sent arrived at 1015am on Tuesday-a good thing as I had taken the last pill at 8am(I take this medicine 3 times a day). Because the female pharmacist couldn't be bothered to check the label for proper storage instructions-sorry but that IS part of your job as a pharmacist-I spent the time from Saturday afternoon until the package arrived worrying what would happen if the delivery was delayed. Caremark is out several hundreds of dollars for a replacement shipment of 90 days of a heart medicine. All of this because the pharmacist and her staff couldn't take 60 seconds to read a label on a bottle of expensive heart medicine. Perhaps if the cost of the replacement drug came out of the pharmacist's paycheck she would be more careful in the future. I noticed other remarks about a female pharmacist on this site. I don't know if the complaints are all about the same woman or if there is more than one female pharmacist but perhaps CVS should look into this. There are 6 reviews on this site-3 recommended and 3 not recommended. Five of them criticize the pharmacy department and 4 mention a female pharmacist. As I said I wouldn't buy a candy bar from this store, let alone ever let them touch my medicine again. read more

Call me crazy but I have always loved the smell of CVS!!! The 4 star rating could be for the smell alone! The place is always clean and just a nice place to stop if you're in a jam for a certain item. On some items they can be a little more expensive than some of the bigger retailers but again in a jam it's very close to my crib! The drive thru pharmacy here is the best...always friendly!! read more

What a bummer. CVS constantly pushes flu shots every time I'm there. We finally made it in to get shots and we were told they were closing in ten minutes and would not be able to receive our shots. In addition, we weren't offered another time or another location - just a SOL attitude. After speaking to a pharmacist in higher management for the company, we found out that wasn't policy. Stinks for them- we offered our business to another pharmacy who is two shots closer to filling their quota. Merry Christmas Walgreens. read more

The pharmacy consistently provides terrible customer service. If it requires any sort of work to obtain a particular medication they drop the ball. The pharmacy has on several occasions promised to obtain a medication and it never gets filled, or only because I am constantly following up with them. The new female Pharmacist at this store is not a pleasant person at all. Whenever I go in to get my scripts she is just shouting out orders to her staff and I mean loudly, all the customers that are waiting for their scripts hear her all the time. The last time I was there I waited for 45 mins. for my script, when the pharmacy tech kept apolizes to me and said we getting it ready. I saw the Pharmacist strutting around and shouting at them on what to do but not checking in anyones scripts. What is going on? It is one of the worst work environments I have ever seen. I honestly feel sorry for the techs trying to do their jobs!!! read more
