This pharmacy does NOT keep their drive through open. If you are elderly, sick, disabled, cannot walk and stand in a line....don't use this pharmacy. Today four cars lined up behind a car at the window. The window was closed but an elderly disabled woman struggled to get someone to talk to her. She had her door partly open and feet out of the car with her oversized cane, trying to get attention. These are the people the pharmacy is short-changing and placing a hardship upon. The three cars behind her didn't know the window had been closed. She left after being ignored and didn't go inside to get what she needed. She probably was too frail. Meanwhile there were about SIX people working behind the pharmacy counter yet they were too busy in their own assessment to serve their customer at the window. Like they are supposed to. Sometimes they say the window is closed because they are understaffed. Sometimes they say it is that their register broke down. The latter is unlikely because they have been doing this for the last 6 months at least. They literally closed the window in my face one night as I got to the window for my turn after 20 minutes waiting. As a result I had to go in and wait another 40 minutes in line, and I had just left the hospital after surgery and was very frail to be out walking and standing. Same thing happened a few days later. I've also had to go inside to intervene in person to get a transfer done because they don't answer when the other pharmacies call either, for transferring a prescription out. Just put a sign up permanently closed and stop misleading patients and putting them at risk to stand in crowded lines. It is arrogant and rude. I am taking my prescriptions to Rite Aid or Bartells. Better service & less risk to my health. read more

Let me start off by saying I am a Simple Dose user. The bulk of my meds arrive without an issue from the main pharmacy in California. However, when needed for injectables (such as Ozempic and Test) and some specific medications (I.e. my Phentermine) I need to use the local Burien CVS. This place has multiple issues. First and foremost is the fact that when I order a refill on line it will show as "In Process" indefinitely. I went in this morning and was told my prescription was not ready but will be available later today. Now mind you it has been listed on the CVS app as "In Process" for 4 days. No issues, just in limbo. The male tech I spoke with this morning was very dismissive: "Sir, I said it would be ready this afternoon, come back then if you want it". Not good customer service. I go back in today and ask when I pick up the prescription what do I need to do so I don't have to make two trips for one prescription. The young lady behind the counter said: "Sir, I'm sorry but for now the best thing to do is to come in and ask for the prescription and then come back later in the day to pick it up. We are so behind with all our medications that we rarely answer the phone so coming back in would be best" I said "To clarify, when I have a prescription that says In Process I need to make two trips here, one to ask for it and then another to come back, 2 trips for one script". She replied "Yes Sir, that is correct". What the heck. Two trips for one prescription. That is unheard of. Ever since the original Pharmacist, Kevin, left this place has REALLY gone down hill. I am going to be moving my non Simple Dose meds away from here. My husband has the same issue, ongoing and has to go without some crucial meds due to this pharmacy not being on top of his refills and then letting him run out before they do anything about it. I am a retired ARNP. I understand there are issues from time to time. HOWEVER, this is bordering on the ridiculous. If you want accurate on-time refills this is NOT the place for you. Take your prescriptions elsewhere. In their own words " we are way behind and not catching up". Corporate CVS should be ashamed that this Pharmacy has gotten so bad. The rest of the store is great but the Pharmacy is a shambles. I'm moving my scripts, other than my Simple Dose meds, to another local pharmacy post haste. read more

Horrible service. I went last week for booster COVID 19 shot and was told I did not qualify...wrong I am 78 with heart issues and my friends had gone day before and they are younger and no problems. Tried again this week and same no, no go away. Asked for flu shot and was told to come back at 10:00. It was 8:30 and they had three people on duty. NEVER RETURNING. read more

For Medicare insurance, CVS will only take at-home COVID test orders at the store in person, not online. For others, on-line ordering is available, when in stock. It's absurd to put the most vulnerable population at this risk. Also, phone wait times are often in hours, not minutes. read more

If I could give zero stars I would . This pharmacy is right across from my apartment complex and I fill all my prescriptions at Safeway for many reasons. For 3 consecutive weeks I tried to buy a brand of OTC medication and they have been out of if any its competitor's brand. 1 week ok, 2 weeks WOW, 3 weeks beyond ridiculous!!!!! This is probably the WORST drugstore I have ever used to fill a prescription. It is my neighborhood pharmacy but I will not use them again. If it was possible to give a minus 5 star I would. Every time I fill a prescription it is the same. I go to CVS and they say yes we have this medication in stock and it will be about 40 minutes.....8 hours and 3 phone calls later script is still not ready. Always same answer...give us about 40 minutes and if you say "sorry that is what you said 3-4-5 hours ago" they get mad and probably take longer. This is my first negative review. After being a customer for several years, had a bad interaction with the lead pharmacist. I was upset that my medicine was unavailable. I did say b*** s***, which was inappropriate. However, the person was un sympathetic and sarcastically replied "hav a nice day" when I left. This after the CVS phone application allowed me to order my medicine when apparently I was out of refills. After consulting my doctor, a refill was sent to this CVS. When I went to retrieve the medicine, I was told that CVS would no longer serve me. After finding out how to transfer all my prescriptions, I contacted Bartells. CVS was unresponsive and at one point said I had nothing on file with them. To me, the lead pharmacist was ill prepared for dealing with an upset customer and then she was vindictive. read more

This cvs is good if your in a pinch for something or on a time crunch. They have a drive thru pharmacy which is nice and the technicians are always so helpful: I prefer CVS over other pharmacy's because there is a place to sit if you need to wait. My only complaint Is how expensive everything is in this store. For example a bag of gummies is like 3$ where at other stores it's considerably cheaper. That's my only qualm. By far the worst experience I've EVER had with a Pharmacy. The clinic next door ordered my prescription after my Dr. appt. I walked over and they said it wasn't ready yet (I wasn't expecting it to be), they said about 15 minutes. I waited about 45 minutes and the woman behind the counter came over and said "what was your name again? i know I filled your prescription, but I just can't locate it". I sat another 15 minutes and then she comes back and says, "oh, we don't carry that, so we will get it in tomorrow". The next day I called at 3:30 PM to see if it was ready, and the gentleman that answered the phone said it would be ready within 10 minutes, luckily I had a meeting so couldn't get there right away anyhow. Then about an hour and a half later I get an auto-message saying my prescription was on order and wouldn't be there until today, so I called and they said, "oh, we don't have that and it won't be in until tomorrow". I just called again now, and they say it should be ready in about an hour. Really? So THREE days later I get my pain medication? Yea, thanks. NEVER AGAIN read more

Before this pharmacy was built, there were already at least seven pharmacies in the area. How many drugs can one little suburban city buy? As they were planning the store, the community asked them to spare a large and beautiful sequoia tree on the lot, which was not even within the footprint of the building. It would have been a nice feature in the parking lot. CVS said Fuck You to the community, and cut down the tree unnecessarily. I would not shop at this store if everything was free. If you shop here, you are telling this corporation that they can completely disrespect the environment and the local community, and it won't impact their bottom line. read more

I went in tonight to purchase a dental item & hair product(s). I was sent coupons via CVS so I wanted to use them tonight. I went to the counter & told the cashier I specifically wanted to do my transactions separate so I can utilize the coupons; I'm sure the coupons are set up so you can only use one in one transaction. I kept telling AND showing her the coupon I wanted to use for the hair pproduct I wantted to purchase. She told me that she couldn't see it so I went ahead & made sure it was available for her to select. She told em everything was good, and she was able to use my coupon for the hair product.. We proceed to ring up the dental item & I tell her now this is the product I want to use so & do coupon for. She asked if it's preloaded & I say, hold on let me check. I load the coupon & it says already redeemed. At this point, I'm confused? I thought we processed the other coupon for my item? She, then, ask for help from a lady near her that was Asian decent. She just looks at the screen, looks @ my phone & says, "She's already redeemed. Nothing we can do." I'm like no? It's not supposed to be redeemed. I just pulled it up. Mind you, she has this nasty attitude the whole time!! They want to start the whole process over, but just accused me of using the coupon when it wasn't supposed to even be redeemed in the first place....I left with letting the lady know that she had a bad attitude & she is nasty for the way she was being towards me. The pharmacy employees are rude and have poor customer service. My mom and I were the first one and only one waiting in line and no one said anything. Not even a "I'll be right with you, it'll just be a second" since we were waiting there for a little while. Even the pharmacist looked up at my mom and I when we were waiting in line and didn't say anything, she just minded her own business and paid no attention to us. After waiting in line for about 5 - 10 minutes, Tara finally came up and didn't greet us. She was rude and unprofessional. All she did was ask for my information and every reply I received from her was snotty and mean. When we got to the payment, we told her I had two insurances and she just said "no we can only bill to one, we can't bill to two different insurances so....." After making it such a big deal that we could only bill one, I told her I'll just pay for the rest of it and she just said "yeah I mean it's only $1.71". That was really mean and rude. We just thought because we had to insurances, we wouldn't have to pay for anything. So when she goes back into the computer I'm getting ready to pay and she says "oh we have start all over again like everything" and she emphasized the phrase "all over again" like she was upset and/or irritated that we had to start the transaction again. It was just disrespectful the way she handled the situation. I was only picking up a medication and she acted unprofessional. I just went to this CVS Burien location for a shot and for 2 passport photos. The front counter took our photos and tried to overcharge for their photos. When I pointed out that the large sign in the photo area claims the photos are 9.99, she refused to honor the posted price. The cashier shrugged her shoulders twice and told me that they were 13.98. Even at the pharmacy, they weren't able to help us out. I gladly went to Walgreens and paid more. read more

Walked in to get my subscription and was treated very poorly by the pharmacist O'neel he was very rude & not helpful in any way! To the point that he told me that my medicine was not there and that he didn't have anything with my name in his system! Then he very rudely tells this very nice girl "Brittney" if she can find it! & she very nicely asked ...... if I was refilling or if I was here for a new proscription? I told her my name and she asked for my phone number as well and in matter of seconds she found my information! With everything my doctor had sent out for me! Before I left I wanted to let a manger know of O'Neal's Poot customer service so I talked to "Arleen Rojas" the manager of the store and her excuse was that they had been very busy and that he was probably over whelmed & that that's why he was treating in such a manner! We made the appointment for my husband to get his COVID booster shot at this CVS Pharmacy before I had read all the negative reviews. Since we had never been to this CVS before, we almost cancelled his appointment after reading the reviews, but it had been so difficult to schedule and this was the only pharmacy anywhere near us that had appointments available until mid-January. So, it was with some trepidation that we arrived for his appointment today. Scheduling online had been fairly easy and we checked in by instant message on the phone when we got there. Checked in in person with a friendly attendant and at the exact time for his appointment, the nurse who was administering the shots called his name. She was very very friendly and efficient and after a couple minutes it was all done. We waited the prescribed fifteen minutes before leaving and I picked up a couple items on the way out. In spite of what another reviewer had stated, the store was very clean and has self-checkout machines, but I went directly to the cashier who was friendly and I made my purchases with no problem. So, it was a very positive experience overall. We'll be back to this pharmacy for sure. read more

This pharmacy is slow and sometimes rude. Took 4 trips in the last year in a half or so to figure this out. Today they said come back in an hour. I did. I handed them my license and said here to pick up for Raquel. They said you have no prescription here. The after a few minutes they said are you picking up for yourself. I say no I'm picking up for Raquel. Just like I said. After hunting around they find it in the bottom of the small tray. They go to ring it up and it is the wrong stuff. Wait some more while they fill it. If this was a one time occurance it would be no big deal. Three trips ago I really confused them having 2 different insurances. If I could give this o stars I would. This is the worst pharmacy ever. I had to move to this one due to my insurance. I have had nothing but issues. They fill prescriptions that I dont ask for, and dont fill the ones I need. I asked them not to auto fill that I will call them in as needed. I had a surgery scheduled for today and had a much needed prescription that needed to be taken prior. They claimed they never received it, yet the Doctor said he called it in. As a working single mom taking time off work isnt easy for I really depend on my income and having to reschedule a surgery and more time off due to their lack of organization and professionalism is unacceptable to me. read more

I've been very happy shopping at CVS. The store is very clean and well organized. Items are easy to find. Clerks are very pleasant and helpful. It's a good idea to sign up for their perks program, lots of useful coupons. I get prescriptions filled here monthly and the pharmacy staff is pleasant and helpful. One of their pharmacists, Emily, always goes above and beyond. My one complaint about the pharmacy is that they seem to always be understaffed which is irritating. read more

The pharmacists and most staff seem to truly care about you here. I had a hiccup with my meds not being ready on-time and had a bad experience with a tech (Brittany/Ashley?) who didn't seem to have the problem-solving skills to get my meds to me or tell me when they'd be available. The pharmacist stepped in and made it right. He even called to follow-up about the poor service. Also I have to pay out of pocket for all of my meds and the prices at this pharmacy are superb, they were even cheaper than Costco in my case (ask for the 'Washington Discount Card'). This location is terrible!!! Cashier in the front is NEVER there..??? Manager is scary looking, wears a T-shirt and regular pants that are dirty...looks like he just rolled out of bed. Ugh. This is the worst pharmacy ever. I have taken my business to the Bartell's down the street where they are much more efficient and professional. This CVS was constantly out of my medication so I would call early for refills and they still couldn't fill on my due date. They had issues applying manufacturer coupons and when I tried resolving these issues they were rude and unhelpful. I did escalate to the pharmacy manager and he was helpful but dealing with the assistant managers and other pharmacy personnel was a nightmare. They refused to listen to me and I ended up being right. And last but not least - when customers pulled up to the drive up window I would watch from inside the store as the staff did rock paper scissors to see who would have to help. The staff would laugh as the loser had to do their job. If anything this showed how much the staff in this CVS wanted to work with the public. Never again. read more

My health carrier will not process Rx through Walgreens anymore. I was told move your Rx's to CVS or pay cash. A relationship lasting more than a decade snuffed out. Yesterday, my husband left Highline Medical Center with two fractured ribs and Rx for pain meds. I had called CVS from HMC to see if they would be able to fill the Rx (Easter Sunday). Dominca told me if I got there by 5:30 they could do this! I walked at 5:30 and headed back to the pharmacy. Kevin, the pharmacist on duty, was waiting for me, confirmed they had enough meds for the Rx and I was out of there in 10 minutes. I know this doesn't always happen -- lines are long, people are sick, don't understand their healthcare, etc. That being said, despite the fact that I was utterly exhausted and understandably concerned about my husband, it was a great experience! We have no choice but to go back, but it's nice to know there are good people working there empowered to help their patients. read more
