It's hard to stay away from Target. It's so dang convenient in so many ways. I have suffered for a year, avoiding Target due to the DEI controversy. I've shopped all over the area instead and never with the same satisfaction. For the most part, Target has everything we need. The only reason I'm not giving more stars is because of the continued bigger issues (see above). I went here for our pre-New Year's Eve shopping. Picked up a cute pillow in the bargain section at the front. Picked up all the food items I needed. Couldn't find everything (like you know those Pillsbury refrigerated biscuits and cookies? vanished or I just could NOT find them). Now, I will say that the time that I went it was not crowded BUT it was stocking time and the stocking staff was NOT friendly. I mean, they're busy, of course, but usually they at least say SOMETHING when you need to get past them. Nope, not this time. Barely budged out of anyone's way either. They were in the zone I guess. (I have worked retail fyi so I know it's possible to stock AND accommodate customers). Look, I know some of these jobs suck, so Target, do better on making your people happy. And us, too. read more

Cruise ship staff shop at the downtown location and International flight attendants shop here. It has a close proximity to Sea-Tac Airport, near the Hwy 518/I-405/I-5 interchange, and has lots of free parking. The store has changed over the years. Decor/marketing is more colorful and cheerful. They did a remodel. They sectioned off a portion for online pickup storage which replaced the small food court. I think it was called Food Avenue at one point. The fitting rooms moved to a centralized area; it used to be located at the SW corner of the store. They sell produce now although I don't like the selection/quality. They lock up high-theft products behind glass. They added self check-out lanes. They've designated online pickup parking spaces and vehicle charging stations. Even with all these updates it's still a good place to shop. I definitely prefer shopping here over Renton Walmart. read more

This is the worst Target in the world. This store truly makes the concept of going shopping at Target a burden. While at any other Target one can have an enjoyable experience, the Tukwila Target is not just any Target. It's much, much worse. As a resident of Tukwila, there aren't a lot of grocery stores close by. I frequent this Target and I shop both in person and via Drive-Up. The inside of the store is always a mess, always slightly dirty. The fresh food options are a joke. Always expired or moldy. I can usually dig through and find unexpired items when I'm shopping in person, but via Drive Up, I trust that my order will be fulfilled with unexpired products. This is rarely the case. 12/18 I picked up a Drive Up order at about 9:00PM. I received spinach that was best by the following day. 12/19 and pre-shredded rotisserie chicken that expired on 12/6. Lines are also super long to check out via express, regular cashier, or self checkout. Every product - including men's socks - is locked up to prevent theft, but I think they mostly deter people from spending more money @ the store. Approaching 2 years living right by this Target and honestly it's the bane of my existence. read more

This Target is great! They have a great food selection and they have several aisles of wine and liquor!!! They had so many wines that I have never seen before, so of course I had to pick up couple bottles on my way to Skagit Valley where I went camping. This location of Target is perfect as it is on the way and right off a major highway. There are also other shops in the immediate vicinity. read more

I stopped by this Target during a recent Saturday stayover in the SeaTac area. They had all of the Target basics (clothing, beer/liquor, a small grocery section, etc.). Maybe its just a Target-organizational thing, but it was hard for me to effectively navigate through this "big box" store to find the snacks, food items and booze that I was looking for without perusing most of the store. Their wine section was pretty hard to find and there were limited grocery options. Also, the checkout lanes were a nightmare--only one very slow cashier for about 10 customers (until they finally opened a second lane). Don't go here if your are in a time crunch, since it will take you a while to find what you are looking for and even longer to get checked out. read more

While I am a loyal customer, as such I believe it that loyalty should be reciprocated by staff, especially those in Management. Today, I was talked to in a condescending manner from by Kennedy, the Front End Manager on duty Saturday, December 10 concerning a return. Kennedy unequivocally said the following conversation with Target Customer Service did NOT happen. While I understand policy, it should not be the fault of the customer if staff are communicating misinformation; or if staff are communicating misinformation, for management to assume that the customer is not telling the truth. After sharing the original receipt number; telling them I did not have the original box: and then confirming that I did not do anything other than take the item back to the store, Target-Tukwila still did not honor my return. While I got more and immediate relief and remedy from the manufacturer. Kennedy's attitude and dismissive manner was off-putting and clearly not a true reflection of Target's commitment to customer service and customer relations; it should not go unnoticed or unaddressed. No, I don't want anything from Target itself. If the managers of Electronics were aware and truly dedicated and up on manufacturers' warranty's my problem offered immediate remedy from the manufacturer- no questions asked and only required me a phone call. All it took was a grounded Customer Service Rep, who was willing to listen. read more

My experience with this Target was pretty much on par with any Target that I've been to in the past. It was super easy to find the items that I wanted as the layout for all Target stores are relatively the same. If you can't find something, you can use the mobile app to help locate it. I was only here for 2 bottles of water. I was in and out of there in no time since I was able to easily pay for my items using one of the easy-to-use self checkout registers. read more

My go to for everything convenient. However, there is a huge downside that i dont like about this place. Its always busy no matter the time or day and staff is overworked like crazy. You can definitely see it when you visit the return/customer service section. The lines are always long, even in the self checkout. Just prepare for time if youre in a rush. read more

An icy road trip to Target on a Saturday afternoon! 12/23/22. A cold, icy and slushy shopping day! This store has a very good selection of items in stock. Books, Clothes, Electronics, Food, Groceries, Hats, Household items, Kids' toys, Toiletries, etc. Good amount of stuff all around inside the store. Some on sale and in the clearance sections. Saw a lot of retro action figures, throwback clothes and trading cards. But seems like they're always out of Baseball and Football cards. read more

This is not my go-to Target, but it was the most reasonable one for me to go to after work. I placed an order through the app for the Drive Up option, which is super convenient if you don't have the time to go inside to shop yourself, or wait for an online order to get shipped to your place. Anyways, once I parked in one of the designated Drive Up spots, a staff attended to me with my purchase within 5 minutes! Not only that, but he even asked if I wanted to keep the bag that is automatically charged with each online Drive Up order. Whenever I go shopping anywhere, I try to bring my own bags or deny purchasing a bag. So, I really appreciated him asking and having him remove the charge from my purchase! I visited this Target to pick up a few needed essentials while near the Southcenter Mall in Tukwila. The parking lot was not crowded and it showed inside the store. The food items on the shelves weren't stocked and lacking in supplies or inventory. Certain items such as protein water was not available and I settled for another beverage. Only 1checker was working the register and I decided to use the self-checkout system which worked fine. Two police officers were stationed near the exit doors, one local police and another state trooper as a deterrent. I didn't think the Southcenter area was rampant with crime but perhaps this store has been suffering with thefts. This was definitely a low-key Target with high visibility. read more

This Target is cute, especially due to the newer remodel that gives certain sections a more traditional, open-plan retail feel. Parking and location are both very convenient. At first, I didn't love that the store is primarily self-checkout based, but the employees keep that system running well. There's only good things to say about the people who work here. The store is well stocked with clothes and household goods options, but they're lacking in a few other areas. Usually I love the bargain section, but the one here tends to fall flat. I've also been disappointed in their food selection. Sometimes they're out of stock of things I want, and I've seen expired food in their refrigerated section. I've lived in the area forever so it's only right that I review my local target. This isn't the target I usually go to but I do frequent more often now that they have EV chargers. They recently put Tesla chargers into the lot next to the Target lot so it's super convenient. I find this target is unfortunately the target of a lot of crime and has a lot of interesting activity that tends to make me avoid coming here as a first choice Target. Once, I parked my car and a man approached my driver side door and tried opening it. I do feel better now that they have police officers in the area but I do avoid coming here in the evening and only come during the day or if I'm charging my car. read more

Went to Target today and the employee working the door said I couldn't come in without a mask. OKAY. I go back and get a PPE mask from my emergency kit in my car and then back to the store. The employee let me inside. No hand sanitizer available or offered. As I shopped inside, this is what I witnessed: 1: At least 3 employees wearing masks incorrectly. Masks are under noses and only covering mouths. I saw this with two employees stocking shelves and 1 at the self checkout. 2: Witness 2 employees pulling down masks under chin to talk to customers. 3: Multiple customers wearing masks incorrectly by either having them pulled down under the nose or under the chin while shopping. 4: NO EMPLOYEES asking the customers who were walking around with masks under the chin, with nose and mouth exposed, to put their mask back on. Target, if you are requiring everyone to wear masks to enter your stores as a safety measure for covid19, why are you only enforcing it to get INTO the store and not while IN the store?! I love Target, however WTH is wrong with this Tukwila location. Recently, today at 10:45am I was at the store. Which by the way they were pretty busy with customers. The customer service area was hopping with about 8 employees, seemingly doing nothing(my perception) while not one service check stand was open and only three self checkouts were open. Target if you're not going to give the option to your customers to use full service checkout then you're assholes! Elderly people and many other people with health conditions are unable to self check out. Surely you can afford to pay cashiers to check , I mean let's face it Targets prices aren't that great that a person couldn't go somewhere else for full service check out. read more

I came to this store on Sunday May 31. There's a sign at the door that says mask required to enter. I was very disappointing to see people there shopping without face mask. Their so called policy was not being enforced since I saw people walking in front of the security personnel without repercussions. I was at the self check out. These machines are not manned by personnel. They are for self service clients, for the sole intention of expediting the check out process. One of the queues was if I wanted cash back. I PRESSED cancel, but the screen told me to wait for my cash back to be dispense. And out came $30. A worker took the money from the machine and placed it in my hand and told me to take it to "client services." I wanted the $30 to be placed back into my account. She was not able to. After a few minutes, I said to cancel the entire transaction. The most they were able to do was refund me. In other words, I came to Target to make a purchased but I walked out with an UNAUTHORIZED $30 withdrawal. I will be taking this matter to my bank to file a consumer protection complaint. I was very unsatisfied that a retailer as large as Target did not have the security measures in place for consumers to use cards in a safe manner. I don't actually expect Target will read this review but it's worth making the community aware of their POS flaws. read more

I ordered a rug runner online for in-store pickup, something I've never done before. Within five minutes of ordering, I received notification that it was ready! The woman that helped me at Guest Services was very friendly and kind. I decided on a gorgeous indigo colored rug for my apartment and she had me check to make sure it was exactly what I wanted before I signed for it. This Target seems brighter and cleaner, and overall more welcoming than others that I've been to. The man posted at the Self Checkout station even wished me a good day with a warm smile upon finishing checking out. Great touch. :) read more

I try not to be extremely critical however this target is one of the worst ones I've been to by far. It wasn't clean and the carts were extremely dirty. Their staff was not helpful when asking questions and extremely slow to check out. They have a very limited selection and hardly any baby food, formula options. This isn't totally directed towards the Tukwila store, but Issaquah and Woodinville or the main number on the website that no one chooses to answer. First of all, I saw online that Issaquah had 6 concert chairs on isle G-41. But I stopped into the Tukwila store anyway because no one answered when I tried to call multiple times to confirm merchandise. The helpful clerk at Tukwila confirmed on his end that Issaquah had 6 chairs. I drive 1 hour on congested 405 to Issaquah, and guess what? NO CHAIRS! ( while driving I continued to call but it would ring for 2 min and 9 seconds and then the call was disconnected. I bet I called 10 times.) Helpful clerk referred me to Woodinville. Called them multiple times and same game---no answer, then hung up on after 2 minutes of ringing. Never did get the chairs and never will shop Target. I never really liked them anyways. Customer service sucks! Not the in person help, but the call number customer service, which I'm assuming is at the admin level. read more
