I love CVS stores you can always find what you are looking for, but this unfortunately its not my favorite location. This CVS is located right in Harvard square, it is extremely convenient as it is right outside the mbta T stop. This location is also very convenient from Harvard students as it is right next to Harvard university. It is located on a very busy street intersection, but surprisingly it is very spacious inside. It has two floors. On the first floors you can find mostly appliances, dried foods and frozen food; while on the second floor you van find the pharmacy, beauty produce and skincare products. The ambiance of this CVS is very nice and it is also very clean. The employees are somewhat helpful but at times I found them to be very rude and dismissive. I mostly come to this CVS to purchase skincare products like La Roche Posay. Most of their skincare products are locked up so you do need an associate assistance to grab them. A lot of times they are out of stock of the products I need and unfortunately this CVS is more on the pricier side compared to others one I have been too.

It is always great to find a CVS when you need one. You can essentially find whatever pharmaceutical need you have and it basically looks like every CVS you have walked into. We found everything we needed without a hassle. The employees were helpful.

CVs are important for getting jobs, but not so much this one. Located in Cambridge Massachusetts and perfect for all of the Harvard students and whatnot. I think it's a cute little place and really good for the students and in a very very very good location except for one thing. Yes ok, you can walk here from most of the Harvard halls and dorms and whatever - but the main issue with it is that it's CVS, and it was extremely expensive. I mean by Boston standards it's probably not too much worse than a lot of Boston pharmacies, but it is actually more expensive than the CVS locations down in Texas, maybe because it's in Massachusetts. Surely the company should just sell stuff the same price all over the country but nope they try to take advantage of local market value and that's how they make their billions but it just makes me like them even less.

Honestly, can you beat a 24-hour CVS? No. There are two levels. The first floor is mostly kitchenware and cereal and milk and office supplies and snacks and stuff. The second floor has cosmetics, sunscreen, first-aid, soap, shampoo, and many more household essentials. There are cashiers available on both levels. Self-checkout is only available on the ground level. What is great that there are always enough clerks around to help answer your questions or find what you are looking for. Super convenient but I wouldn't actually do my regular groceries and purchase cereal and milk from there. Check out other more affordable marketplaces in the area for your regular grocery runs!

9/22/2019 - They have a pretty great selection of Papyrus.

If you are ever looking for a fine establishment where you can find a 10-pack of generic trash bags for over $6, this is where it's at.

In my experience, it's impossible from the big chains. Skendarian is one of the rare places that can not only create custom topical/transdermal medications, but do it exceptionally well. My Boston vet had directed me to an out-of-state pharmacy to make a topical version of the steroid my cat could not tolerate in liquid form. It would have taken at least five business days for me to get the meds, even paying for express shipping. I remembered that Skendarian can compound medications on site. I called them. They had the prescription cream it ready the same day they received the prescription! I'm embarrassed to write that this is not the first time Skendarian came through for our household when no other pharmacy could. The experience reminded me how critical it is to patronize local pharmacies for every day needs. CVS or Walgreens would not have done for me at all what Skendarian was able to do in ONE DAY. I wish I lived in Cambridge rather than Boston so I could do all my drugstore shopping there. They are the best. Seriously.

And the pharmacist took their time filling it as well. As a matter of fact, they let me stand there for several moments, while they were looking at their computer. After several standing there with in silence for an interminable amount of time, I asked if it would be OK if I grabbed a few things and came back. This was OK with the pharmacist. I Needed a new nail file, and was surprised to see That a single nail file in this pharmacy is $9.74. I went back to the pharmacy to see if there were any less expensive nail files in the store. I noticed that my prescription still had not been filled. So I wasted another five minutes looking around the store for alternative sources of reasonably priced nail files and adding more over priced items to my basket. I returned with a few things, fully expecting the pharmacist would check out my six items along with my prescription. To my shock, they refused, saying they were the only one working today, and asked if I could take my items to the front cashier and stand in line there on top of all the waiting I had done in the back. Did I mention that there was nobody anywhere near the pharmacy in all of these many many many minutes that I dealt with this person? In other words, no one else to be imposing on their extremely important time (whereas my time has no value whatsoever). Feeling gouged price-wise and completely disrespected, I then went to the front of the store to a second stand to check out this small basket of items. There was a line at the cashier, most notably a person who was having great difficulty finding a credit card that would cover paying for a pack of gum. By the time I left the store, I had spent $53 buying baggies, two drinks, cookies and coffee. Oh, and a nail file that the store wanted to charge me $9.74 for but I found in other packaging with a nail cutter, cuticle cutter and storage bag (none of which I need!) for $7.50. Mind you, this one nail file I needed would cost me $1.69 in a regular store. On top of all that the pharmacist didn't have enough of my antibiotic in stock so they only partially filled my prescription. So I will be forced to return to this dimly lit, godforsaken extortion pit again on Monday. I'll give the store two stars because the pharmacist was extremely helpful a few months back. I will, however, endeavor to avoid Walgreen's and only come to this one when necessary.

When I went to the pharmacy he was there and remembered speaking with me and everything I needed was ready. Renee. And I had my ID in hand. The only reason to not fill my script is 1. Corporate nonsense (making the people do the pharmacists job), 2. a power trip. Now, I call CVS Corp, and I discovered a great way to avoid touching their shwassy screen - you can download the app. **but I will not be doing that - here's my ID - and that's that. What if the customer does not own a phone and is a double arm amputee - do you want them to touch the screen with their Tongue? Now imagine treats your elderly parent like this, maybe a relative that does not speak English, or maybe an individual that has an extreme phobia to germs or have some other mental health condition (perhaps a loved one on the spectrum). Excellent Target. Crappy CVS. Do better! I don't expect CVS to ever get rid of these self service screens - but if they want to save time and money by making the customer help the Pharmacy Dept with THEIR job, then equip each counter with sanitizer.
