I came in last night and bought a few items for my sick baby and has a few extra bucks coupons that I was going to use in my purchase. The girl that helped me was named tamisha and she was so rude. She sighed and seemed bothered that I was using 2 coupons in 2 separate transactions. She made a few comments the made my husband so mad he walked away from the register and waited outside. He later told me he left because he couldn't stand her bad attitude and was about to say something rude back if he didn't leave the store. I also felt the same way. I've never not had a problem with them filling my medication. Every time they do, it is a new, made up problem. I'm pretty sure they just don't want to fill my meds, or maybe they get some kind of joy out of making me wait around all day to receive my medication, I don't know. They're pretty incompetent though. Don't expect to receive your medication within a reasonable amount of time, or for them to communicate a reasonable time window for when you get your medication, you'll be waiting around all day to pick it up. read more

I honestly wish I could give this a good review, it could be a nice store. I live very close to this CVS and the only time I'll go there now is if it's late and they're the only place that's open 24/7 around here that I know of. Like others have said, the staff is friendly but I can't stand waiting 15 minutes to buy a soda or get paper towels. The lines are never very long and I always see about 3-4 employees with one at a register and the others just standing around and chatting. I normally don't have to fill prescriptions here. But I'm in between insurances I had to use medi-cal I don't have a card but they said they can look it up in the data base. I give the last 4 of my ss and they can't find it. I say well I have it I just left the hospital and they found it. He says they will give me a discount but the total would be 37 something. I have nothing right now so I take the prescription back and go down the street to Walgreens. Magically they were able to see it on the medi cal data base, the same on cvs used. Maybe they just want your cash and to not deal with medi cal? Either way it's bs I'm standing there feeling horrible for them to not fill it. This CVS is really horrible. The layout is a maze, and the cashiers are generally rude. The MINIMUM time I've had to wait in line has been 8 minutes. There's usually only one cashier available, even though there are 3 registers. I didn't have a problem with the pharmacy until recently. I called in a prescription, went to pick it up and they informed me that my insurance wouldn't cover it. I thought that was strange since my insurance had been covering it for many months prior. CVS said the insurance gave them 2 choices of "like" medications, and so CVS was going to call the doctor to get authority to have one of them filled. When I came back the next day, they told me that it wasn't an issue with my insurance, but that the drug was "just backward". Huh? What does that mean? The lady repeated it a couple of times, and I finally asked what she meant. She said sometimes the drugs aren't available at the store and so they have to wait for it to come in. I said, "Oh you mean "back-ordered". ((sigh)) So I went to another CVS who said they had the drug on their shelf and could fill it. They checked the system and said it was never back-ordered. It was just that my doctor needed to give approval for more refills. Then, when I went to pick-it up, they informed me that they couldn't fill it because it had already been filled by the Bascom CVS....THREE DAYS AGO!!! Needless to say, I won't be going there for prescriptions anymore. read more

The store itself is fine. The pharmacy however..,, AWFUL. Let's put it this way, there's an older quirky white man who works at night sometimes who is a little gruff, but yet helpful. The past few times I've gone to pick up my prescription he hasn't been there though. There is a mid 30's SUPER RUDE Asian man. Good luck getting anything from him. I had my prescription called in from my doctor and he reassured the nurse it would be ready in an hour.., yet when I showed up he said it was out of stock. Then when I confronted him about what he said earlier, he just simply played dumb and copped a little Asian man attitude. This is the 2nd time I've had this experiment with this terd. This is just for the pharmacy. After standing in line for 15 mins. The pharmacist informed me Cigna doesn't cover flu shots at the pharmacies. I even offered to show her my card but she refused. Called Cigna and they confirmed that they do cover flu shots at CVS. They just need to enter a specific number from the insurance card. Went to another CVS and they were able to bill my insurance just fine. Last time I'm ever using bascom CVS. read more

For pharmacy only - I didn't end up using the pharmacy but that was based on the suggestion of the pharmacy staff. They were nice enough to tell me that the medication prescribed wasn't in stock, and told me which pharmacies also probably didn't have it and which one likely did. After calling a few pharmacies, it was really nice of them to tell me this since it saved me from wasting time calling around to other pharmacies. Since I needed it filled the same day, I appreciate them letting me know upfront so I could find the one pharmacy that did carry the medication. read more

I wish I could give this place negative stars. There has not been one time they have had our prescriptions ready, even those that are on the easy refill program that supposedly means you don't have to call. What it really means is, when you come and after the website says it is ready, you then wait 20 minutes while they fill it. Tonight was just another failure. My doctor called it in this afternoon at 2pm. My husband went to get it at 830 pm. He just got home. It's 9:40. We live less than a mile from the pharmacy. They hadn't filled it and indeed couldn't even find it, it was misplaced in a pile of papers. I could live with the trashy merchandise, lines at every hour of the day and night, the rude staff people...but they don't ever have my medication when I request it or on time. That never happened with Longs, a local chain CVS bought out. So guys, you can keep your gimmicky savings cards and half-hearted "green" signs. How about some training for your employees, proper staffing levels and appropriate responses to legitimate customer complaints? Even though it is incredibly convenient, I think it's time to change our pharmacy. read more

I get it, I liked Long's better too! I'm not a fan of the weird carpet and the shelves that all the CVS' have, but I must give this particular CVS credit for having a pharmacy that is open 24/7! I feel bad for the pharmacists who have to work the graveyard shift, but where else can you get your prescriptions filled or refilled at 3am?! Finally after my 4th 1 star experience with the pharmacy I'm writing this review. I've had so many issues and they've wasted hours of my life that I can't get back. This happens to be the closest CVS to my work and makes it convenient to get my monthly prescrptions filled on occasion. Today, like always, they had to check stock on my RX. This took about 30 minutes, while they helped other people, until I asked for my prescription back so I could take it somewhere else because I was sick of waiting and being ignored. The lady who took it sat there on the phone, helping someone else when this process normally takes 3 minutes to check stock, get my info, and drop off. 30 minutes is too long given my experience knowing that they will also most likely drop the ball in another way, wasting more of my time. Usually my issues happen with Jeff. He's checked stock, told me it was in, and told me it would be ready in an hour. Going back after 3 hours, I was informed that it wasn't in stock, and I should have never been told that it was. They asked who told me this, I replied, and somehow they didn't seem very surprised. Another time with Jeff, I was told it would take one hour. After calling back after 3 hours to check, I was told I should have never been told one hour for this type of RX. They rushed it and it was ready after another hour, which only delayed me leaving town by 2 hours, which gets me stuck in traffic. I see elderly people who have a hard time standing waiting while they have no sense of urgency. Every interaction they have takes 3 times as long as any other pharmacy I've been too. And every time I'm in there I see other people complaining about various issues. Apparently they don't have regard for anyone else's time. People are busy, I plan around the time they give me relying that it will be somewhat accurate. I even give this pharmacy extra hours so they won't let me down. This pharmacy is ran poorly, and I will drive out of my way to make sure I don't have to deal with them again. Good thing we have choices in todays world. I can't believe how many 1 star reviews are submitted here (or maybe I can). It's too bad there isn't a seperate listing for CVS versus their pharmacy. read more

The cashier was helping a customer, she kindly acknowledges that I am a waiting to be checkedout. The manager on the other hand is within the checkout, he does not acknowledges me at all. He seems cold in his efforts of helping me check out my one item. Once the women rushes her way to the checkout, she helps me check out my one item. There within line comes a second customer and the manager instantly assists the women checkout her items. Is warm and and friendly. The cashier has better customer service than the manager has. In terms of greeting, engagement and assisting customers. He could learn a thing or two from his cashier. I did not get their names. I am not here to bash the manager, I just hope she gets his job one day. She shows commitment to customers, within the environment of CVS. That deserves cool points and praise. read more

After reading all of the negative reviews, I have to agree with them. Between my husband and me it took 4 trips to pick up a prescription. Every time one of us went in, we were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Really? One of us went there 2 days in a row. Oh yeah. Even though this was not a new prescription,just a refill, they said I needed a consult. After waiting for the pharmacist, I finally took my prescriptions and left. I will be transferring all of my prescriptions somewhere else. Hopefully, I'll never have reason to go back. And to top that off, there's always someone asking for a donation outside the door and a panhandler at the entrance to the plaza. read more

This review is pharmacy specific! I've had my prescriptions filled at this pharmacy for about a year now. I don't recall a single time it was ready when promised. My insurance only permitted having prescriptions filled at CVS pharmacies and this one was the closest to my house and work. I would submit a refill for pick up 3 hours ahead of time, get there and have to wait anywhere between 20 and 30 minutes in store because it still wasn't ready. There were times I submitted my refill for pick up the next day, over 24 hours later and it still wouldn't be ready. It got to the point where I would call and speak to someone each time who would confirm no matter how much time had gone by that it wasn't ready just yet but promised it would be in however many minutes. I would intentionally go in at least 20 minutes after the promised time and guess what, still not ready. I completely understand if things are backed up but to be constantly inconsistent is ridiculous. As a customer, I would appreciate being quoted an accurate time as opposed to wasting my time waiting each and every time. It's disrespectful to customers. And I always try to avoid high traffic times, like when everyone is getting off work so I don't understand the hold up every single time. It always shows that original "promised by" time on the prescriptions so my problem is that they see it, know they can't adhere to it but don't bother to give their customers a courtesy call. I've always worked in some form of customer service. Saying sorry each time negates the meaning behind the word. Very poorly run pharmacy. I will be transferring my prescriptions elsewhere now that I have new insurance. read more

Most inaccurate pharmacy I have ever used... I have really only used the pharmacy there. I have to go once per month for meds. There are a few things that are consistent: 1. I am always missing at least one whole prescription I ordered or one of my prescriptions is incomplete - incorrectly filled, at which point I have to go wait another 10-20mins in the drop off line for their mistake. This is infuriating and, seriously, it happens all the time. I will be moving my prescriptions from there in the next week; I had tried everything to iron out the enigma that is filling my prescriptions. 2. They are always under staffed, i.e., two computers at pick up, but only one employee. In a year of going there 2-3 times a month, I have NEVER seen two employees at either pick up or drop off at once, no matter how long the line. 3.They never have the same people working there. I imagine people run for the hills after time in that pharmacy. However, fwiw, the people are always pretty friendly, even though I have seen people be jerks to them. read more

As a frequent visitor to this CVS, I got a beef that I can't contain anymore (I leave 1 Yelp review every 2 years for context). It's not the venue, it's not the employees, the prices, or the parking, but something so asinine that it drives me crazy. The store has NO baskets or carts.......ever. Well they do, because often I see people using them, but if you go to this location and want a basket for some small items shopping or a cart for more ambitious shopping, there is a 80% chance you won't find either without 5-10 minutes of searching and asking employees for help. The common reaction to this question is a "here we go again" face as they have no idea where the handful of baskets and carts are and look pained with the responsibility of finding one. Once I asked if I could get a basket to which I was given a cart which is awkward as I needed items like deodorant, paper plates, trash bags, some chocolate, and some cough drops. Too little for a shopping cart but just perfect for a basket! As a consumer I have typically found it's easier for me to provide revenue to a retail vendor if I have a storage device that allow me to hoard various products until checkout. It occurs to me that this store is losing money either by turning off people like myself who decide to just leave or limit their purchases or decide to bear the elements and walk around limiting themselves to whatever they can carry. Baskets, carts, accepting credit cards, small checkout lines, etc, these are all good things thats makes shopping easier. Unfortunately although this is a glaring issue that effects the majority of shoppers here, nobody seems to care enough to remedy the situation. If you're one of the few people with 3 hands or walk around with a spare plastic milk crate, than you're probably not going to have much luck here. read more

We dropped off a prescription and they said it would be ready in an around 5pm. When we got back the whole pharmacy was closed down. Said will reopen at 10pm. 10pm?? I asked the Manager if we could at least get our prescription back to go some where else and he said it was closed down. I told him I wake up very early and can't come back at 10pm so I really need to transfer the prescription then he said sorry come back at 10. I guess a pharmacist called in and their back up couldn't come in or something. I would think that the Manager of the Pharmacy would come in no matter what if someone called in because that's the Managers job! It was so very unprofessional! Fix your system guys because people call in! The day time pharmacist should have stayed to fill in or something! So frustrating!! read more

I just moved to the area, I stopped by this pharmacy because I was in the ER. I was in unbearable pain and had to fill 4 prescriptions. I asked Melissa to expedite it because I'm in so much pain. Melinda filled my meds within 10 mins. They were starting to get busy too. I appreciate the amazing customer and fast service. Boy! I miss Longs! The drugstore has been remodelled once more, this time by CVS. Looks like they acquired their neighbor, Camilles for expansion. The inventory (I was looking for Shampoo and Makeup) has declined. Shelves are purposely short, I'm guessing to discourage theft. This just feels offensive. Sales are a secret unless you hand over your name and number. You'll need one of those "member" cards for the store discounts. read more

This pharmacy is ridiculously close to my house so it's convenient location wise but service wise I've had multiple issues when filling prescriptions. I have a med that I refill every 90 days and while the current prescription is active alls good....as soon as I need to re-up it all hell breaks loose and it's like they've never filled an RX before. Never and ever take your passport photos here. The associates are ignorant and do not know even how to take passport photos. Even one of them was asking me how their camera works!!!! The photo they took from me for my passport application was denied because of low resolution. They gave me a certificate showing that the photo they had taken from me complies with all the government's requisites. A big lie and something false. Avoid CVS if you want to take passport photos. This gets a 5 star because it was the only pharmacy in the area open at 7pm on a Sunday. After a trip to the ER, we had to fill a prescription and couldn't wait until our usual pharmacy opened the next day. The convenience of being able to come here was greatly appreciated! The staff seemed hard-working and quickly filled the prescription. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes, which gave us enough time to check our blood pressure and browse through the store. They have a great selection of pet products, random household items, cleaning supplies, cold food items, and beauty products. read more
