We have been in line for 25 minutes and now at the window for 5 minutes and nobody has come to the window!! This is yet again the most disappointing thing about this city!! The store isn't bad. But the prices are outrageous. They offer all sorts of coupons and such to try and get people to shop and they are able to make those offers because the prices are so high. But then these deals and such cause the lines to back up. They never seem busy and this is what I suspect is the reason. I only shop there because I get so much a month to spend only in that store from my insurance. Other than that I will not shop there and would never recommend it to anyone. I was treated with contempt by the woman who came to the window. She spoke to me as though I was an idiot. She took my medical card and would not return it when I asked for it back. She claimed that I had to wait an hour for my prescriptions that I was notified were ready. When I went back to the window her disrespect continued, when I addressed her terrible behavior she closed the window and walked away. I will never and would never go back to that location. read more

Went to pharmacy to pick up my husbands prescription at 1:31 not knowing they are closed from 1:30-2:00 because I was here from out of town. Had to pick up my husband at the hospital after a huge back surgery and wanted to get the medication before leaving town. Live on the other side of the summit and bad weather coming in. No one was willing to help me so I had to go pick up my husband first and then put him through the inconvenience and pain of stopping and also put ourselves at risk for bad weather driving home. The man at the counter said he could text me a receipt but that it could take up to like 24 hours. It didn't happen. I was told to call their 800 numbers. I called their 800 numbers multiple times...too many hoops to jump through. read more

Pollock Pines, Cá Pharmacy is horrible. It takes them at least 24 hours to fill a Dr called in prescription. They do not answer their phone, ever. you automatically get sent to their voice mail. They are out of medication often and they close far too early. I now send my prescriptions to the CVS in Placerville whenever possible. read more

CVS corporate has to change their phone system, badly. I would use a more colorful expression but I don't want this review taken down. I spent 20min with their phone bot and couldn't reach a human! I had a simple question that would have taken a human under a minute to answer (do you take my insurance?) that confused the bot utterly. But it was apparently unable to even get me to a queue for a human because despite its' confusion it never offered. I will never go to CVS as long as they refuse to let me speak to a person. read more

This cvs is arranged in a different way than I'm used too, and honestly it's so much better!! All items are easy to find, and there are always deals on the cvs brands (I use the allergy medication and it's AMAZING). A fun thing about cvs is that if you find any expired products you get store reward cash, which can really add up!! This store is very clean! It has more variety probably because of it's size. We wait for the seasonal or the holiday stock reduction then go to town! We bought a shirt at another store and wished we waited to go here because there shirts where cheaper. This store is bigger than the Williams location and has more product. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We have only one encounter with the pharmacy and it was from last year. My son was a day short to refill (knowing him he miscalculated). The pharmacist worked with his doctor back east to get him one days meds at no charge. He then refilled the whole script for pickup on the following day. What a great experience. 12/19 read more

It has a pharmacy. Good lighting. Temperature inside is usually spot on. They have a decent parking lot size.

Aug. 24, 2023 . I waited an hour in the drive thru after the pharmacy's lunch break. I was the 3rd car in line, after 40 minutes the 2nd car left. I was now the 2nd car and once it hit and hour, I was ready to leave. The lady in the car at the window was there even longer. The window never opened to help her. I had to honk and make the lady at the window leave so I could get out. I noticed the window had a board up so you couldn't see inside the building. This is not the first time I have had to wait this long. NEVER AGAIN, I will waste my time with this place. read more

I must say the staff has completely changed their attitudes since my last review. Debbie is such a great person to come to when getting my prescriptions filled. Shes always so friendly and does her best to go above and beyond. We sometimes dont see what happens on the other side of the counter and I'm sure they get swamped with prescriptions and dont have a ton of help. I understand the bad reviews for this location. I was using the self checkout machines which werent working. I had to interrupt the employees, who were telling a story with curse words, for help. My 5 year old and I went to the counter to pay since she too couldn't get the machine to work. She says since my coupon is 1 week past experation she won't honor it (if it were 5 days past, she would have.) Working machines always honor these coupons. She refused to. I had to put back items and pay. Poor customer service. read more

This is my most unfavorite store. The personnel do not understand the concept of customer service. I scheduled a flu shot for last week and when I arrived for my appointment there was no record of it. So I had to stand around for a half hour waiting while they did other things. The woman waiting on me wore her mask low and when she talked to me she took it off. I asked that she not do that but to no effect. On other occasions when picking up prescriptions I got the impression that helping me find items was a gross imposition on the employee. Often I need help because the items I am looking for are out of stock. This is probably the worst run CVS I have ever frequented in the past. I say "past" because it will not be in the future as I will never go there again. read more

Just wanted to say that the Pharmacist Antoni is amazing, has the patience of a saint and really did everything in his power to ensure that my daughter got her shot, despite her suddenly becoming terrified of the needle even though it was her 2nd shot. This isn't my regular CVS, but I've visited twice for COVID vaccines and have been so impressed with the pharmacists, check-in team, and nurses. I have a fear of needles and I'm pretty sure they cured it by making the entire experience so easy and painless. We stick around and shop for the recommended 15 minutes post-vaccine, and they have a nice selection of household essentials. read more

It's just after 11pm and many people are setting around waiting on the pharmacist to show up so that they can open up. This CVS Pharmacy is the first one you reach arriving into the north end of town if you take N. Carson through town instead of staying on the freeway for its last few miles. This CVS was formerly a Longs and prior to that (maybe 4 years ago) was a Rite Aid. The store includes a pharmacy (with excellent, helpful and efficient staff) and a front store with CVS's usual range of pharmacy, grocery, liquor and seasonal products. The store is not staffed with many people and as a consequence it can be busy at times, but the staff are used to that and tend to be very efficient. The pharmacy includes a drop-off area, a pick-up area and a drive thru. The drive thru, while fast, has a horrible speaker system which can be a bit frustrating. I prefer to go into the store, both to save exhaust emissions, get exercise, but often just to forgo the frustrating of repeating myself so the pharmacy staff can actually take my order. While not one of the largest CVS Pharmacies, the selection is still pretty good. The front store staff knows how to find most items fairly well. If you don't have a CVS Extracare card, be sure to get one. You get access to deals and a free item by scanning your card at one of the red boxes once a week or so. Otherwise you can get coupons daily. read more

THIS Pharmacy is pure CRAP! Don't go there! On so many occasions, I've been there and I have to finally send a review.... Tonight was the last straw and trust me.... I don't attack anyone without honestly several chances. One occasions, the pharmacist took our hand written scripts to hold and fill when ready. They lost them all! Another occasion is that the drive up takes FOREVER! I have been by so many times and always 3-8 cars. This time, I waited and well, it was 3 cars in line and 3 hours! Crazy! They are crabby and I believe over worked..... When going inside, they seem to be better but honestly... I have truly liked Walmart North Carson.... they are very very nice..... and efficient. I know that everyone has issues and can't be perfect always but with all honesty... CVS in Carson City (2 of them).... not worth the time! read more

This store workers openly follows you and harassed you even if you have only come into the entry magazine area if you have any kind of oversized purse or shopping bag from another store. They will lie and deny you the use of your coupons that were emailed and you loaded on your "Extra Care Card." I think this store should be sued and shut down. You can plop me down anywhere in the world and one of the most fascinating things is walking into a local drug store to see what the natives are up to. Here in Carson City, this CVS is your basic drug store, perfect for picking up purple toenail polish to dog biscuits to trashy magazines or potato chips and a cane to help you walk. I signed up for their rewards program, but I'm a terrible user - half the time I can't remember I belong and forget to get my purchases accounted for. Oh well. The ladies who work here are generally very nice and as long as there isn't 38 people waiting in line, are quite chatty and helpful. read more

Although the pharmacy staff are professional and helpful, the wait time to pick up or drop off prescriptions is ridiculously long. Wait times are typically 20-30 minutes just to drop of pick up at drive through. CVS needs to consider hiring more support. I'm about ready to switch to a different pharmacy. read more

"Rapid" COVID tests are free most everywhere, except at CVS pharmacies. My daughter and her husband were charged $139 each for a sloppy test at the drive through at their local CVS. They were given their own cotton swab to rub in their nose and told their results would be back to them within 48 hours. They leave for their trip early tomorrow morning, yet CVS doesn't know when their results will be returned! AVOID CVS! They are incompetent and are ripping people off!!! read more

DO NOT FILL YOUR SCRIPTS HERE!! Seriously, worst decision I have made since moving here. They don't answer the phone. It takes 15 minutes for them to even acknowledge you when you're standing in line. I went in yesterday to refill my birth control (couldn't do it over the phone because they didn't answer all the times I've tried calling). The tech said it would be ready in an hour but I said no worries I'll come back tomorrow. So I went back today. IT WASN'T READY. Apparently, the "new pharmacist" threw it away because he thought it was "deleted", whatevEr the hell that means. Birth control comes in packs, no counting involved. Honestly the worst pharmacy location in northern Nevada, and I have given them countless chances. The staff behind the pharmacy counter tend to be rude in general. I have tried multiple times to get my text status corrected because they have a habit of randomly turning it off and they can't seem to figure out how to fix it. They mess up the billing on our prescriptions all the time. Today was absolutely the last straw though. After having a prescription sent over roughly 25 hours ago by a doctor, I still hadn't gotten anything saying it was ready. I called and got the "you have one processing prescription" message. This is absolutely ridiculous considering it's something I need to take sooner rather than later. So I continue on to speak to someone. As I write this I have been on hold for an hour and a half. They haven't even answered to tell me to hold. I have genuinely never dealt with a more incompetent pharmacy with worse customer service. I seriously hope corporate CVS does something about this horrendous location. read more

Worst pharmacy ever! My doctor sent over a prescription Wednesday afternoon went at 11am on Thursday they said they never received it I called the doctor who said it's been sent over but they will resend it , went back At 5 pm after calling for 2 hours and no one answered . I got there no one in line , there were 4 pharmacy people all standing around talking to someone I assumed was the manager they didn't acknowledge me for 5 minutes, and when they did I asked if their phones were working she said yes but we've been busy we just slowed down . Such bull! I asked if she got my prescription at first she said no then she said one ( doctor sent 2 prescriptions in ) she had something I had never heard of and it would be at least a half an hour ! I asked Pam what the prescription was because I has never heard of it she said she didn't know , once I got home I googled it and it was a generic of the medicine I usually get , she couldn't tell me that??!! This place is terrible I will be transferring my prescriptions somewhere else what a joke these people are ! My husband gets his medication there and they are always messing it up ! The CVS pharmacy staff at this store changes constantly. Former manager Roger was nice, he has since retired. The in store staff is friendly. In the past seven years, the pharmacy staff has burned through perhaps a dozen or more pharmacists(!) and a dozen or more assistants. Not sure why they go through staff so quickly, if this operation is a training store? They are good about calling when refills are ready. Staff can either be helpful or indifferent, depending on who is helping you. Cannot strongly recommend them, it just depends on who helps you... read more

This is an ok drugstore. Its probably one of the better CVS stores (which isn't necessarily saying much), but this one benefits from having once been a Long's and a Rite Aid before that. They have the usual selection of stuff, including a lot of grocery items. Overall, its an ok store, although I prefer the Walgreen's out on Highway 50 if I have my choice. read more

A most HUMBLE & Kind cashier (Older lady with graying hair & in great shape) in the world checked me out yesterday 11/26/2014 at approximately 10:45 am when I stopped by to purchase a vitamin supplement. She expressed her desire to stay healthy and I commented that supplements were expensive. I reassured her that she was already healthy because she was so cheerful and in great shape. Please, Please, Please CVS give this nice lady a gift certificate on Christmas for her whatever she wants or needs because she brightened my day!! read more

Absolutely terrible service. I had one item. One customer ahead of me. We both had to wait while the cashier called the manager for change. She said if she gave the customer in front of me her change, her draw would only have 2 dollar bills. First off why let your drawer get that short to begin with and second who cares, give the customer in front of me her change I was using a debt card and then the cashier can wait for the manager on the clock getting paid. Why make us both wait! So finally she gets her change and gives it to the customer in front of me. So I throw my one item on the counter cuz by now I'm getting mad. But she won't ring me up. I just wanted to pop in get one item and leave and while I was shopping I had gotten a disturbing phone call so I was really in an awful hurry. When she wouldn't ring me up I asked why. She replied common courtesy for the customer! I guess she was referring to the lady who had been ahead of me who had stepped to the side to put her money away. But really she was just trying to strong arm me because I was getting upset. A kind of punishment I guess! So after all the waiting for something that should have been a quick in and out. I left empty handed. For the convenience of a smaller store you end up paying extra. I was willing to do that so I wouldn't have to wait. Guess I was wrong. I should have braved the crowds at a large super center It would have been faster fighting the crowds and using self check. I will never shop at that CVS again!!! read more
