This 7-Eleven is a bit tired looking, and is can be reached by turning off either the Pioneer Trail or Lake Tahoe Boulevard. As this is a motel and residence area, parking and the turns can be tight. You'll occasionally find me here for snack convenience, whether it's heading out of town or towards a fairly regular Noon-time study session. Guys. When I tell you the first step into the store was a shocking as the interior environment. Upon entering the store, a very strong smell of hot wires/burnt smell took over the space. The location is very convenient right at the fork of Pioneer trail and Lake Tahoe blvd where many hotels are located. Even thought the parking lot isn't that big customers don't stay using the spot for long and there is enough spaces to park at various times of the day. God damn animals. I asked for some meatballs and they said 20 minutes to cook some up. I waited in my car for 13 min when they flagged me down that they were ready. They were cold. Cold in the center. They did not get cold they just were never heated to a proper temperature or else the center would still be Warm. It wouldn't cool off to refrigerated temperatures within minutes. So I kindly asked them to cook it for longer cause it's cold and they start arguing with me. Hey, I don't expect them to be chefs here much less Michelin chefs. But it is uncooked so stick it back in the oven for a few minutes ok? What are they arguing about? No, "it's your fault!!! You went to the car for 30min and they get cold!" They started screaming at the top of their lungs like animals when I decided I'm not going to argue with them and asked for a refund. I'm disabled. I can't stand for long. My back goes out and I will collapse on the floor. I lost my breathe just trying to ask them to reheat things. "We have you in video camera!!!!" They kept arguing. Very pleasant and clean 7/11. It is located where the highway and Pioneer Trail fork off from one another. I grew up near one of these types of stores and I've come to appreciate the convenience of them now that I no longer live next to one. The guy working there that night was efficiently stocking shelves and the moment I walked toward the register he intuitively headed that way so I wouldn't have to wait a second to pay. This is a 5 star employee. I grabbed a coffee and donut. Coffee was great and the donut seemed fresher than expected since it was midnight. Yeah a 7/11 donut, coffee and a midnight walk in Lake Tahoe is the life. In this area Raley's and the other places will close down sort of early but you can count on this place to be there when you need it. read more

Check your receipt carefully...customer in front of me was complaining loudly that he's always overcharged in this 7-Eleven. He asked to speak to the manager outside. I could hear loud voices but not what was being said. My purchase was 2 monster drinks at 2 for $4 dollars. I paid with a credit card and declined the receipt. When I got in my car I asked the family what the argument was about since they were sitting the car waiting for me. Said the upset customer was telling the manager that every time he bought something there he was always charged more then the stated price. On the way back to the motel I checked my credit and I was charged 2 for $7. I can't say for 100% that I misread the price but 2 for $4 is a standard price for monsters in a lot of convenience stores and at 2 for $7 isn't. This store has gone downhill in quality and service! I have been shopping at the 7-11 stores in this town for 30 years and never have I seen the stores this poorly ran! The food in the grab and go section of the coolers is rotten and moldy! I wanted fruit and it was foamy and rancid looking so then I picked up a cheese tray it was moldy! The food is going to make someone deathly sick! There is only one guy who isn't a total jerk that works here in the morning but the rest have crappy attitudes and no customer service! The other day I decided to get a 5 hr energy and the sign said $3.49 for the one my sis grabbed for me and it Rang up for $6.99 and she said the sign said $3.49 the guy just ignored her and made me pay $6.99 I would have said forget it but I was working and in a hurry and needed the pick me up! Quick in and out stop when I visit South Lake Tahoe. I get my lotto tickets here. Maybe grab a soda or some candy. Easy in and out. Sometimes the main street is packed full of cars since we are in a tourist town. The people that work at 7-Eleven are really nice and courteous. Alot of people go through there and the people who work there are really patient. It's a clean store, organized. Has all of the fast foods, sodas, candy, cigarrettes, alcohol that you would need. This place is such a joke, I go in there on my way home to get a drink and happen to see a data add on for my phone and proceed to check out and the cashier just refused to even scan the barcode on the data card and tells me he doesn't want to do it! WOW, again this is the same place that rarely will load cash on your chime card for you and they only do it when they feel like it or when you go in and want to get a whole pizza, don't hold your breath cause it's only done if they feel like it, can't be to much work and the fact there pretty rude. A pretty mainstream 7-Eleven location. Most employees I encountered over the years were very friendly. Although it's a bit of a hike from the casino corridor, I recall it was one of the only places that was always open late night, after Raley's and the couple of gas stations along the way were shut.
