The Midnight Gas Station Horror: A True Story It was past midnight. I was starving, alone, and clearly too drunk to make good decisions -- a perfectly human state. My only hope: a 7/11 that boasts "open 24/7." I placed a DoorDash order, trusting that a corporation with fluorescent lights and a spinning hot dog roller would at least get me something edible. I was wrong. Dead wrong. When the bag arrived, I opened it to find a culinary crime scene: food that looked like it had been resurrected from the trash, seasoned generously with despair and the faint scent of regret. The nacho cheese had formed a thin, suspicious crust, the hot dogs stared back at me with the eyes of condemned prisoners, and the sandwiches -- oh, the sandwiches -- seemed to have been constructed in the dark by tiny, sad raccoons with no concept of hygiene. Naturally, I called the store to correct this travesty. That's when the true nightmare began. The young male employee answered, and instead of apologizing, offered me a verbal assault: "Fuck yourself," he said, because apparently my crime was ordering food at midnight in a store that literally never closes. I nearly dropped the phone into my food out of sheer disbelief. I should have recorded the call -- it would have made a perfect audio horror documentary. Determined to escalate, I tried calling back. Nothing. Silence. The phones are apparently staffed by the spirits of past customers who were never allowed to leave. Asking for a manager? Laughable. Managers do not exist here. They are a myth, like Bigfoot, but greasier and with worse hygiene. Let me be clear: I am not a Karen. I am a broke college student trying to make it through life while exercising my most basic human right -- eating past 11 p.m. Instead, I was treated like I had asked them to personally harvest a corpse for my meal. The customer service here is a weaponized combination of slime and negligence: greasier than the nacho cheese pump, stickier than a spilled Slurpee left to ferment in the sun, smellier than a bathroom after a three-day rave, and more toxic than the gas fumes powering the lights overhead. The disrespect is palpable, the indifference is radioactive, and the experience left me questioning the very nature of humanity. If you are a sentient being who cares about your dignity, your taste buds, and the basic decency owed between human beings, do not go here. This is not a store. This is a gas-station-themed test of your patience, courage, and life choices. Consider yourself warned.

The rudest cashier I've ever experienced

This place is great for a 7- eleven. Everyone is cool except for one guy that makes going there the worst experience ever. He is always so rude, when they don't have product on the grill and we have questions he has the worst attitude. If we have questions he always talks in his language under his breath. If you are the owner of this place this guy is giving your business a BAD reputation. Sometimes i leave when i see he is the cashier. DO NOT go here if you see this guy

5 stars to the young gentlemen working the morning shift, this location gets busy and he handles the crowds pretty well and does the job accordingly. The location is very convenient right at the fork of Pioneer trail and Lake Tahoe blvd where many hotels are located. Even thought the parking lot isn't that big customers don't stay using the spot for long and there is enough spaces to park at various times of the day. There is a red box kiosk at this location.

A late night coffee and donut on the run.

They were playing metal when I walked in. That's a 5 star 7-11 if I've ever seen (or heard) one!

Why? DD gives two $10 grocery credits 2 times a month if you have DashPass. Between the hubby and I, we have $40 in credits each month. You can't stack them to buy something big, but it's nice for small things. Can place a $12 order and just pay the diff of $2. The guy here is super sweet. I think he actually recognizes me now. Last pick up he's like DD? Sometimes they give me a different flavored White Claw or Truly, but I don't really care that much. Especially since I'm only paying a few bucks for two seltzers and a bag of chips. Parking is plentiful as there is a lot. A little down the road from most of the eateries, but convenient if im grabbing food around the Y. REVIEW #3928

The manager promised he would review the security footage and call me back after confirming my purchase. He never called. A week later, I went back into the store with my wife and asked him if he had called me back. He wasn't being cooperative and was clearly blowing us off, acting like we were wasting his time while he focused on other customers. As we were leaving, I flipped him off and said something like, "Thanks for robbing us, asshole." That's when the manager yelled, "Come back in here, motherf*cker." I went back inside, recording it and he immediately started telling us to leave. So we left and got into our car. The manager then came outside and filmed our license plate. About 15 minutes later, the police were knocking at our door. The officer told us that this store had previously been busted for overcharging customers for cigarettes. The owner of the store where I now buy my cigarettes confirmed the same thing. BTW -- I've known the previous owner's brother, "Mike," for over 30 years. He and his family were best friends with my mother, who went to India with them twice--once for their wedding.
