Was pleased to pick up a hard to find prescription here. My hope is all parents would do what's required for their kid, but sadly that's not always the case. Thank you to the kind pharmacists here. It's not their fault, but this isn't my favorite CVS. It's always super busy here, and the crowds/lines can be ridiculous. They to their credit are well stocked. Every visit it's like the "factory whistle allowed workers to leave." I'm not sure why this is the case. On a positive note, the store is clean and organized. Please do be careful in the parking lot. Thank you for the updates to the messaging system since detailed nuances regarding one's prescriptions cannot always be communicated via the automated message choices. customer service was really bad. Pharmacist was very rude a few minutes before lunch time didn't help me correctly had to wait when they came back my medication was out of stock. Absolutely the worst service possible I have ever received. The gay male pharmacist with the painted nails bald with glasses proceeded to tell me he's been a pharmacist for 14 years and tried to explain to me, a Neurosurgeon, why my medicine was taking too long to process (3 days) and how I need to call other parties not my own doctors to handle a new medication. He's an idiot. The staff is slower than anything I've ever seen in my entire 67 years of life. Some take too long because of their la k of English proficiency and some are just dumb plain humans. It's horrible. It took an hour to get my 3 medications after they screwed up several times. I will now go to Walgreens or even Walmart pharmacy. Anywhere else but here. I had to pick up my Colonoscopy prep for a future appointment, the guy who helped me was absolutely clueless. I have had 3 prior procedures so I know the prep is no cost under my employers health plan, he couldn't find my plan in their system. So initially the price he was going to charge me was $110, he found a couple coupons that knocked it down to $51.02. I told him I shouldn't have to pay anything at all, SO....I had to go home, call the health insurance company and they had to call the pharmacy. On top of that, I called the pharmacy and they would not do a refund over the phone SO...I had to drive back to CVS to get my refund. I will no longer be dealing with CVS anymore, all this shit could have been avoided if the moron knew what he was doing OR ASKED SOMEONE TO HELP HIM. I am done!!! read more

There needs to be a way to leave ZERO stars because this place doesn't even deserve 1!! Omg I'm not one to leave reviews, but I just can't believe how this pharmacy is still running!! Called before going to check on my prescription being received and ready, they said it had been received and would take 10-15 mins to fill, I let them know we'd like it filled asap because we are picking it up in a few mins. My husband arrived 30 mins later and they couldn't find the prescription because the name was supposedly misspelled, told him to wait 5 mins for them to fill.. HE WAITED 45 mins, I don't know how he didn't lose his mind! Then they still did not have it ready, he told them our 16 yr old dog is in pain from an injury & needs the pain meds, and he needs to leave within the next 1-2 mins, lady in pharmacy just laughed. I told him just to come home so I can go see what's going on. I arrived they said they couldn't find the information for my dog before because of her DOB being wrong, but they will look now to see if it's ready. As I'm talking with the cashier in the pharmacy two different g tried to close the gate while I'm standing there speaking to the cashier due to their lunch time. The cashier told the ladies to stop and she will close it after but they ended up closing it completely down anyways and told me to just wait. There was another lady in the pharmacy there with me with her jaw dropped at the RUDENESS!! The lady tried to get me to pay & pass the meds quickly,, but I was trying to ask about the instructions of how to give it to my dog and also just to confirm the cost for each medication and she was trying to cut me off and told me she hast to go to lunch and that I can wait until they're done eating to get my answer. I pushed, I was not going to tolerate this, told them how terrible the service is and told them to just answer my quick question and I'm done.. NEVER -EVER again ordering meds here!! Oh ya, while I was there in line, I saw the person in front of me with an issue about her prescription getting lost, and the lady behind the cashier was talking to the pharmacist about where this lady's prescription went to because they had remembered filling it... but it was no longer in the bag that it was supposed to be in!! DISORGANIZED & PRETTY SCARY as this is medication, and every bit of it needs to be accounted for. I'm still in disbelief that a place can run their business like this!! read more

This CVS pharmacy is the absolute worst. The service here NEVER goes smoothly. Never. Let me explain to you what has happened in the past 24 hours. I seriously drives further to others because the staff is so incompetent. Yesterday, my doctor sent in a RX. It was an hour later, and I called. I find out the RX is out of stock. The lady I talked to around 1pm, said that she was wondering why. She said it was at the Manassas location. I immediately called back and told them to send it back to them because this was an hour away. The guy I talked to CONFIRMED AND GUARANTEED IT WAS BEING SHIPPED BACK AND IT WAS GUARANTEED PICK UP FOR TODAY. GUARANTEED. I've called 4 times, been on old for 4 times. When they finally decided to pick up, someone told me to hold, someone else got on the line. They decide to alternate yet have me answer the same questions. "Janelle, the manager" finally comes on and says the RX was NEVER transferred back. The dummy worker LIED TO ME. I am pissed. This is an RX order and you lied to me?!?!?! She tried to tell me that there was miscommunication. That's what you say when there's no accountability. Mean while, she cuts me off and puts me on hold, she tells me another location is closer to me. UM DO YOU KNOW WHERE I LIVE??? And then i hear her talking to someone else while I'm talking. REALLY???? I ABSOLUTELY DISPISE this location. Go elsewhere!! This location is terrible. There is no remorse, nothing. I refuse to give this location any more of my money. This place gave me a COVID test even though I had no symptoms. I had an eye infection. Then they overbilled my insurance company. They refuse to correct the bill. I filed a complaint with the proper authorities for providing unnecessary treatment and over billing. If you are given a COVID test (just because). Do not allow them because it's just done to pad their revenue. read more

Ok so I will start off by saying I know this cvs sucks.. I've lived in Centreville since 10th grade and I graduated 11 years ago... anyways so today my son woke up with a horrible ear infection. Took him to his pediatrician and he needed antibiotics. So I said to send to cvs because it has a drive through and Walgreens doesn't accept our insurance. Side note my son is 7 and didn't want to move from the position he finally got comfortable in while in the car and I wasn't going to make him get out. And I wasn't leaving him in the car alone. So I get in the drive thru line at 1:20.. the car in front of me and mind you only 1 car was in front of me took 10 minutes. So I pull up to the window at 1:30 on the dot. The pharmacy tech with red/black hair and glasses shuts the window and puts the sign up that they will be closed for lunch until 2. Now if this was a medication for me no problem i would leave and come back. But this is my child who is in tears after having Tylenol and ibuprofen that just needs to get the abx dose started asap. So I said excuse me loud enough I know she heard me. No response. So I got out and knocked on the window and was knocking. They were just staring... the pharmacist and the tech. Then the pharmacist comes over after a few minutes I think she realized I wasn't going anywhere.. and she asked for my sons information and right away says we're out of stock. Before that she tells me to calm down with her finger in my face. My point is... finish with the fucking patients in the drive through line before shutting the window in someone's face. This is a pharmacy. People come there for HELP because they are sick ! That pharmacy tech should be 100% fired. She has 0 customer service skills. She could have let me know they are closing for lunch or even just helped me before she went to lunch. I am in healthcare... I have gone without lunch on 10 hour days making sure my patients are well taken care of. Don't bother calling the pharmacy. I called and was on hold for 40 minutes. Decided to drive up there to ask my question while I was still on hold. I was able to drive up to CVS, wait in line, ask my question all while still on hold. The ironic thing is the whole time I was in line, their phone system was saying "1 pharmacy call waiting" every 30 seconds or so. It was me on hold and I was standing in front of them. They made no attempt to even answer the phone. They are horrible and I wish people would take their business elsewhere. I am going to the Giant pharmacy down the road. I am a physician and wrote for hydroxychloroquine as a preventative for Covid-19. There is observational evidence that this works as opposed to giving it in the ICU setting to desperately ill people. Most front line health care workers take it including me. The pharmacist at this store refused to fill this for my patient saying the drug is too dangerous. This is misinformation. I have prescribed this drug for over 40 years to Rheumatoid arthritis and Lupus patients. It has an excellent safety profile, not what you hear on CNN and MSNBC. We screen for side effects. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. By far the worst pharmacy I have ever worked with. They have lost my medications, messed up prior authorization paperwork, and the customer service is so bad that it never takes less than an hour to get through the line. Also, be prepared to have the call system hang up on you three times in a row after half an hour on hold. Or to have the one person there answering phones hang up on you on purpose. read more

This is by far the absolute worst CVS Pharmacy department in America. The drive thru line is always "closed" for some unknown reason. Which doesn't really help if someone is post surgery getting a medication to help with pain. You want that customer to walk in? Wait in a line 12 people deep? That's not equitable for those who are disabled. Then when you are in line and it's your turn you Find out that your medication is on hold for no known reason. Then they will ask you to go to the drop off line.. There you will find other customers who had medications that were supposed to be ready with confirmation who are equally confused what is going on. When it's finally your turn, they just get the med ready or they start looking everywhere in the store for it?' The manager/pharmacist/unsure his title told the lady in front her medication was lost!! HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? Then after waiting in the drop off like, medication is ready and they ask you to get back in the 12 person deep pick up line to pay for it! I refused and said absolutely not. When I paid, the screen got stuck with my personal information for everyone to see. I told them i'm not leaving until it was shut down. It took over 3 people to do so. I spent over an hour just trying to get a medication that was told it was ready to pick up. I will NEVER use a cvs again for medication. They need new management asap bc the only nice folks working there are the techs who you can just tell don't get treated right. I honestly am not even sure if the pharmacist filled my medication as he was not wearing a white coat like the other guy. Could've been the manager for all I know... The pharmacy window people wouldn't get a pregnant woman with three screaming kids in the car some diaper rash ointment. They made me park and come in. I had already waited in line. There were no cars behind me! I've seen other CVS locations ring people up for other items at the pharmacy window. Once I was behind an old lady who took forever because she basically had them fetch her whole shopping list for her. My request was so easy but they chose not to help. I had to park and drag all my kids inside just for that one item. Walgreens down the street is much better. Had it not been for the drive through window I would have gone there in the first place. So, thanks for reminding me that there is no reason to go to CVS. Their prescription prices tend to be higher so I don't use their pharmacy anyway. read more

I have been coming here for years and it has alway been a very busy store. Always well stocked. When using the Pharmacy I'm sure not to go from my doctor straight to the pharmacy because I'm familiar with them. This is a well used Pharmacy. If you take time to look at the workload that can be easily seen. Its crazy and I'm sure the pharmacist are doing their best to get it right. I cannot say I have been in there one time and got the feeling that they were just ignoring their job or the people that are waiting. There is always room for a little improvement. Perhaps those handling the register may need a little help with customer engagement training. I hope CVS corp. provides this. Had the most attentive, empathetic woman (Janelle) helping make sure that my 80 y/o parent was able to get the medicine that is absolutely essential. Jumped through the hoops that insurance requires and was amazing. Turned what looked like was going to be a crisis into a very manageable situation. So grateful. read more

They act like the customer works there or we're supposed to know how the job functions. The worst pharmacy in Centreville! They automatically set your account to "auto refill" anything you have on file with them, then when you pick something else up that you actually need, they bundle the auto refill prescription into your pick up order. This is the 4th time they've done this in the past few months, giving me 4x 90-day supplies of a medication that will expire before I can possibly use it all. Not only is this a waste of money, but it calls into question their medical ethics, oversupplying a patient far beyond the recommended levels of a medical prescription just to increase their profit. Then when I tried to return the unopened, still stapled bag a few minutes after I realized they snuck it into my overall purchases, they claim "Oh we can't take back any medications, sorry", even though they are OVERMEDICATING me by auto refilling prescriptions at frequency levels far elevated from what is medically prescribed. AVOID THIS CVS PHARMACY AT ALL COSTS! If they can mess up something this simple, imagine how accurately they will try to fill something for your family. This will also be reported to the state licensing board, as this is a very dangerous practice. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID this CVS pharmacy. read more
