I appreciated the fact that the infant medicine is both in the medicine aisle and baby aisle. Little conveniences like that make my day!

We experienced older lady was so rude. ID CHECK acceptable 24 hour ban- I DID NOT understand So, my boyfriend and I were at the Fairfax Total Wine location, trying to buy a bottle of wine. He was the one paying, and he showed his ID. The cashier asked mine, but mine was in the car. The cashier said they need to check everyone's ID. We completely understood. When a group of people purchase, they have to present their ID. It is the store policy that applies to all states. Truly UNDERSTANDABLE. We said we'll go grab my ID from the car, and we'll be back in 2 minutes." The store was not even busy at the time; there were only two of us, and maybe there were two more people, including her. But then the lady at the counter said something that totally threw me off - she goes, "No, NOW I CAN'T SELL IT to you for 24 HOURS." She explained it was some POLICY that if anyone doesn't have their ID, EVEN IF WE GO AND GET IT, they won't sell us alcohol for a whole day. I said okay, I'll wait outside so he can get in and collect them again." But she refused to sell it to my partner and we felt like we'd been blacklisted from the store for the entire day. We asked to see the policy but no response. WHY make us wait 24 hours for something that could've been fixed in five minutes? The entire thing felt completely unnecessary. I was just standing there, totally shocked. I've never heard of any rule like that in any store! It's not like we were trying to SNEAK AROUND WITHOUT SHOWING ID. I know there are laws around alcohol sales, and stores have to be strict, but is this 24-hour thing really a Total Wine policy? Or was she just making it up because she didn't want to deal with us? I've never run into something like this before. PS: We did not argue with the group ID check policy, but 24 hour store ban.

He found my wine right away, got my case for me and we had a fabulous discussion about Rosé. It doesn't get any better than that! Merci beaucoup!

My husband and I honestly took forever browsing and reading labels. The store manager was incredibly patient with us, even though we probably stayed way too long talking about the cheeses we wanted to try and reading through their recommended pairings pamphlet. She was so knowledgeable and helpful with all of our questions, and even mentioned that they could specialty order anything that might be out of stock for us. Because you can buy their cheese by the 1/4lb, we ended up mixing and matching a selection of five different cheeses and a few cured meats to sample. Everything was absolutely delicious, and they have some really unique flavors available. The wild ramp alpine cheddar was so different to anything I had before, and the truffle manchego cheese was completely packed with so much truffle. The shop is currently celebrating their 10 year anniversary, and I can absolutely see why. Between the incredibly friendly, helpful service and a thoughtfully curated selection of artisanal goods, it's no surprise this business is thriving. This will definitely be my new go-to spot for gifts!

The environment was an open industrial space with a low-key vibe (at least at this time). A handful of regulars were posted up at the bar. They had sports on the TVs in front and on the big screen in the back. There's a stack of board games in the corner. For the couple times I've been here, the bartender has always been very informative, walking me through the beers on tap without my asking. The beer list is solid, and I had to try the Raspberry Beret imperial stout - the flavor was unique and the raspberry very notable. If you're feeling brave, ask about the Sweet Scoville Sting. Seriously spicy, so make sure you taste it before committing. Beyond beer, there's wine, ready-to-drink margaritas and cocktails, and a robust food menu so something for everyone.

Service was great. We were satisfied. The food menu looked so good we even deviated from just pizza and went for the smoked trout dip (a rare find in these parts!) So worth it. Like Saturday, November 12, 2022 review of Jirani Coffee House I just wrote (2 weeks later), Friday, October 28, 2022 was one of those weird days where I traveled far from my home. There was a US Navy band concert at Hylton Center on the westside of Manassas (60 miles from home!), which I wanted to go to, and I'm an AMC A-Lister, so I combined with an Indian movie that was oddly enough only playing at AMC Herndon. On the way back from west of Manassas, I met up with 2 friends at a Fairfax music festival. Experience here: After the festival, my 2 friends & I walked to Ornery. They got food, and I just got a beer as I had already eaten dinner. My beer was solid, and the server was nice. Overall, this was a good place with a large variety of beer and seemed like some good food options as well.
