I went in to get some gift wrapping (a bag and that colorful paper that you push into the bag) and…read morethey apparently were coming off of one holiday into another, so that was none of that filler paper (what is it really called?) for the bags and only a couple of bags to put my wife' birthday gift into. There stacked in front of it were three large boxes, which apparently was the restock ready (sort of) to go onto the shelves, but just never got there. So, you just do what you have to do, or go somewhere else (Dollar General next time?) to buy. I bought. You certainly can find the things on the shelves, other than the gift paper, which are too highly priced, even on their sale prices (usually buy one get one 50% off--which requires buying two, but that equates to 25% off per item). As an aside, there is one lady in the pharmacy that is handling my refills, etc. However, the prices were just getting up there, and not due to my wants, but just my needs, so I have moved all of my prescriptions to another pharmacy which is not really close to my Johns Island home.

Dropped by this Harris Teeter location to grab one item. I rarely come to this one because it is so…read moremismanaged. The self checkout line trailed all the way through the wine department. There were three lines open. They had just opened one line more making that four lanes. Only one lane had the light on. So the other line was all the way back to the pharmacy area. Try to go to service desk, and noticed the manager was helping back the slowest of the unlit lines. Those unlit lines people had to backtrack to make purchases as if they were only taking selective customers. I approached the manager named Lori, and said could I give you some advice or recommend maybe turning the lights on so that there would be multiple lines that would move throughout the store. She sarcastically responded to me. Thanks for your advice. When I tried to explain myself, she cut me off and said again thanks for your advice. It was only open temporarily. I did manage an explicative under my breath as I was walking away as she kept screaming. Have a nice day. Have a nice day. I left without my purchase and refused to ever go back to this location. Huge fan of Harris Teeter, and every time I go to this location, I leave unhappy. Was in and out of Publix, which was twice as busy. Got what I needed and left in less than five minutes. Let me add, they were not understaffed. Lots of staff in the store on their phones and chatting with each other. Those people could've helped with bagging and movement of the lines. Looking back I should have used the word suggestion instead of advice, however I don't think it would have made a difference.

I was in there for prednisone which had been called in about 20 minutes before. They told me I would need to wait a few minutes unless I wanted to come back. The workers at Herold's Pharmacy actually care about their customers and it shows. Mary is the main pharmacist here. She's really sweet. Her and her husband own Herold's Pharmacy, this one in west ashley and the one in North Charleston. Robby is another pharmacist here. He's also nice. All the workers here are really nice. Just the fact that I know their names shows you how much more personal this pharmacy is with their customers. I come in about twice a month to get my prescriptions. Once a month, I get a shot administered here. It's nice that I get to come to a local pharmacy for this shot because they can usually take me right away. I just call ahead and tell them I'm coming. Other big name pharmacies won't even administer my shot. I'm so lucky to have a place like Herold's to go and get my shot administered with no extra fee. They have all the basics that you might want to buy at a pharmacy. They a can fill just about any prescription for you. There are nice people working there. It's a cute local pharmacy. Try them out. I know you won't be disappointed.
